A tiki eruption, a budget gamble, and a cold brew quest turned this trip into a string of small wins. We kick things off at Trader Sam’s—scoring a quick walk-up, catching the Krakatoa show, and nerding out on the punch’s flavor build—then lay out exactly how a cheap motel can still work if you know your pace, your feet, and your priorities. From there, the map becomes edible: Ronto Wrap mornings, Snack-Adjacent lunches, and a split between Lamplight’s stripped-down downstairs menu and Jazz Kitchen’s rich, balanced plates. We share why a hurricane hits different after a long, muggy walk and how a single upsell at Magic Key Terrace turned into the right shareable at the right time.

Coffee is its own storyline. Disneyland’s cold brews are on a tear—Black Caf with Cocoa Puffs, the Bear Paw’s pecan and salted maple cold foam, a mocha nitro that reads like grown-up dessert—and the sleeper favorite might be the Vietnamese iced coffee from the Joffrey’s cart: strong, smooth, and just sweet enough. We compare notes with Walt Disney World and make the case that Anaheim is where the creativity lives, especially if you like your caffeine with texture and personality.

Rides and shows bring the balance. Guardians Monsters After Dark is a worthy alternate cut; Haunted Mansion Holiday earns must-do status with a seamless Nightmare Before Christmas overlay; and the new Walt Disney presentation surprises with a thoughtful film, refreshed exhibits, and an animatronic that looks far better in person than on social clips. We talk rope drop choices that backfired and the multipass saves that followed, our best-ever piloting on Smugglers Run, and a rare, fully operational Rise of the Resistance run that reminded us why the hype exists. Through it all, cast interactions and small kindnesses stacked up—seat requests granted, a well-timed scare, and quick help at tap-in—reinforcing a simple truth: pace yourself, pick your musts, and let the rest be joy.

If you had to choose one must-sip, one must-bite, and one must-ride from your last trip, what would you pick? Subscribe, share with a Disney friend, and leave a review with your three—let’s build the ultimate shortlist together.

SPEAKER_01 (00:00):
Hello and welcome to Cheers2ears, where today we're
drinking a Krakatoa punch fromTrader Sam's at the Disneyland
Hotel.

unknown (00:07):
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (00:07):
Great place.
Finally got to try it.
We got in there right away.
We'll talk about more of that ina second.
It's made with Sailor Jerryspiced rum, Florida Kana
seven-year rum, Sam's GorillaGrog, or Geet, and Hibiscus.
And the prices are not on here, and I have no idea what we paid
because I didn't even look.
Do you remember the prices ofthe night?

SPEAKER_00 (00:29):
With tax, it ended up being like 24 bucks.
Hold on, let me let me pull thisup because I actually You wrote
how much you paid.
And I have the receiptsomewhere.
But anyway.
24 bucks was tax tip and mydrink.
Okay.
I think it was 1875 or 1977.
Something like that.

SPEAKER_01 (00:48):
Something like that.
So it's Disney about on the topend of Disney drinks, which they
all are there.

SPEAKER_00 (00:55):
But yeah, I get we'll get into talking about
Trader Sam's here in a minute.
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (01:00):
So this drink, though.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02):
We did, we made gorilla grog from scratch.
That's three ounces of pogjuice, an ounce of pineapple
juice, two ounces of lemonjuice, a quarter ounce of orgit
syrup, and a quarter ounce ofFalernum syrup.
And so that makes enough for twodrinks for your whatever.

(01:23):
And a lot of the drinks atTrader Sam's have gorilla grog
in them.
And so the what we end up usingthree ounces of gorilla grog,
one ounce of dark rum, which weused the gossling's dark rum,
one ounce of spiced rum, we usedCaptain Morgan's, and then
another half ounce of the orgitesyrup, and a quarter ounce of

(01:46):
hibiscus grenadine syrup.
So we did a little float ofgrenadine and dropped a hibiscus
flour in there, which weactually had.

SPEAKER_01 (01:53):
Yep.
So it's a little different.
It's a little different.
So it's a little more sourtaste.
It's a lemon, has a little morelemony taste to it.
So maybe back off the lemon, just a scotch.
Yeah.
It was three the three ounces inthe gorilla grog.
But still really good drink.
Very good drink.
Yeah, I like this.
It mixes well together.
All the flavors blend lots ofingredients, more than we

(02:16):
usually have in a drink.

SPEAKER_00 (02:17):
Yes, this had a lot.
I was almost ready to not evenmake a drink.
You were.
I walked in, I'm like, uh maybewe should just have a beer and
talk about our trip.
But glad we made this.
Yeah, very good.
This was what I had in mind whenI asked you to pick up some pog
juice from work.
Perfect.

SPEAKER_01 (02:37):
So delicious drink.
Try it at home.
It's a good fruity drink.

SPEAKER_00 (02:41):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (02:42):
And it's what I ordered our first night.
Do you want us to start talkingabout our when we flew in?
Yeah.
Our first day.
So we got Yeah.
So let's talk about what we'retalking about today.
We just took a Disney trip lastweek.

SPEAKER_00 (02:52):
We did.
And Wednesday Tuesday night weflew in and we came back on
Saturday morning.
Had three full days in the park.
Uh-huh.
And we did Disneyland, DCA, DCAfor our rope drops.
But Tuesday night, as soon as ofcourse we had to go to downtown
Disney.

SPEAKER_01 (03:11):
Yeah, it was funny because I called Christy when we
came in.
I called my wife Christy when weflew in.
And she said, What are you guysdoing?
I said, We're we just got to thehotel, we're dropping our stuff
and walked to downtown Disney.
And she said, But why?
Funny, one of the funniestquestions I've ever heard of my
life.

SPEAKER_00 (03:26):
So we stayed at the Anaheim, I think it was the
Anaheim Motel 6.
Yeah, Anaheim Motel 6, maingate.
Main gate.

SPEAKER_01 (03:36):
That was our Tim Pop trip we've been talking about
for weeks.

SPEAKER_00 (03:39):
Yes, it was 414 bucks for four nights.
They said it was 0.6 miles fromthe the gate.
That was a lie.

SPEAKER_01 (03:48):
I don't know.
It's 12 to 15 minute walk everynight.
Every day.
It's not that bad.

SPEAKER_00 (03:54):
So I measured it when we left Jazz Kitchen and
walked back, and it was 2,900steps.
And those were long steps.
So it's it was like at least amile and a quarter, up to a mile
and a half.
Probably about a mile and aquarter, I would say, from
there.
So to get into the parks, we'rewe're talking about a mile walk.

(04:15):
So a mile walk to start your dayand end your day.
On top of everything.

SPEAKER_01 (04:20):
Not bad.

SPEAKER_00 (04:20):
Not bad.
I don't know if I'd stay thereagain.
The beds were fairlyuncomfortable.
Clean room, nice room.
Yeah, the beds were just not thegreatest.

SPEAKER_01 (04:31):
Of course not, but that's what you expect, right?
You have to expect not having abecause it was fine for me.

SPEAKER_00 (04:36):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (04:37):
The bed didn't bother me at all.

SPEAKER_00 (04:38):
Mine had like a spot where somebody had slept in one
side for I think for threemonths straight.
It had a little had a little uhindentation, shall we say.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (04:51):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (04:51):
So you fall into that sucker and you're not
getting out.
Right.
And then the back tweaks up.
But it but it was clean.
It was very clean.

SPEAKER_01 (04:58):
They clean the rooms quite often.

SPEAKER_00 (05:00):
Yes.
It was almost every day.
Yeah.
And the staff was very nice.
I really, except for the factthat the bed wasn't the most
comfortable, although it wasbetter as we went along.
I've once I figured out the bed.
But other than that, and thewalk at the end of the night,
which really even wasn't thatbad, because as long as I'm

(05:22):
walking and walking with somespeed, I'm it doesn't bother me
a whole lot.
It was just more annoying that Ihad to walk all that way to get
to the back to the hotel when Ilike walking just a short ways.
Well, yeah, we all do.
We all do.

SPEAKER_01 (05:35):
But is it was it worth another like$100,$200 a
night?
Yeah.
You know, that's that's thewhole thing.
This it averages for the year.
Motel this Motel 6 averages$83 anight.
That's the average pricethroughout the year.
That's not bad.
That's not bad.
For there's nothing even there'sa few things kind of close to
it.
There's a thing called King'sInn, another really budget

(05:58):
hotel.
Yeah.
I don't know anything aboutthese hotels.
It was the Viv.
Yeah, but that looks that'sprobably more spendy.
Yeah, that looked a little more, but it was a little further
away.
Further away.
I'm talking about budget hotels.

SPEAKER_00 (06:09):
Yeah.
So and then I'm still I'm stillgonna die in the hill of Best
Western Raffles is my go-to ginpop hotel.

SPEAKER_01 (06:18):
It's a good gym pop, but it's a lot more, it costs a
lot more a night.
Yeah, but it's like$129 a night.

SPEAKER_00 (06:24):
Better yeah, but it's also free breakfast.
Oh yeah.
It's you get something for yourextra money.
And it's right next to the ToyStory lot, so you can ride the
bus in.

SPEAKER_01 (06:35):
Yeah, so there's lots of reasons why, but if you
want the cheapest hotel, what Imean, probably the cheapest
hotel in Disney, I think this isa good This is it.
If you want to be within walkingdistance, this is it.
And we're here to say it's notbad.
It's not bad.
It's not bad, it's worth it forwhat we do.
Like I literally, my my daysconsisted of my evenings

(06:56):
consisted of walking back to thehotel, hopping in the shower,
getting into bed, waking up,putting my clothes on, brushing
my teeth and stuff, and walkingstraight to the park.

SPEAKER_00 (07:04):
Walking back to the park, right?

SPEAKER_01 (07:05):
So, yeah, that there was no amenities to the hotel.
Like there the coffee downstairswas horrible.
It was all watery.
That was coffee-tasting water.

SPEAKER_00 (07:14):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (07:15):
So it's but yeah, just a basic hotel.
I'm I'm gonna say it's okay.
I would stay there again.
It's if I want a cheap trip, because we did the math, we did
the math on me going by my on asolo trip just for a couple like
two nights.
And man, it's like you can'tbeat it.
You can't beat it.
If you're just gonna go fly downfor two nights really quick and
you want to do it multiple timesa year and not break the bank,

(07:37):
you know, of course.
Right.
Of course, I don't want to stay.
It's not my first choice.
No, like I want to stay at theDisneyland Hotel every time,
yeah.
Right?
But we're talking just majorprice difference.

SPEAKER_00 (07:47):
You get the Disney Vacation Club that yeah.
Thank you, Christy.
Thank you, Christy.

SPEAKER_01 (07:53):
So, yeah, Motel 6, not bad, is my so anyway, we
stayed there, getting back, butwe went to the parks that first
night.

SPEAKER_00 (08:00):
Yeah, to the downtown Disney, and we walked
around Disneyland Hotel a littlebit, but it was mostly to go to
Trader Sam's to see if we couldget on the walk-up waiting list,
which took uh five minutes.
Yeah, it was quick, and we gotto sit inside.
She offered us the table she wasoriginally gonna offer us was

(08:23):
had some stuff on it, so shegave us a different table, but
then came back and offered usthat original table once they
got it cleaned off, which wasvery friendly, very nice.
But we had a good view of thebar and the entertainment, and
all the entertainment value isgreat there, right?
I would like to sit at the bar.

SPEAKER_01 (08:41):
Yeah, I think that'd be fun to sit at the bar next
time, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (08:44):
And so I ordered you had the Krakatoa Putch, I had
the Tangoroa cooler, which wasHamilton Pot Still Gold Rum,
Tamarindo syrup, grapefruit, andtropical fruit juice blend is
what it said.
And so roughly the same price asKrakatoa Cooler.
You can get them all in like aor a lot of their drinks in a

(09:06):
souvenir mug, which then sellfor quite a bit on on eBay, but
it makes the drinks like 40, 50,60 bucks.

SPEAKER_01 (09:16):
Right.
So, yeah, my full intention wasto get the uh oa and try it.
But we got lucky and we saw theshow right when we walked in,
right when we sat down, a personordered at the bar.
We got to watch the entire show, and now our goal is to buy one
of one or two of those tiki mugsthat they make it in.
And do that and put a video upon YouTube.

(09:36):
Yeah, because they're veryspindy.
I didn't have anywhere to carryaround a big old, it's a large
tiki mug.

SPEAKER_00 (09:42):
Yeah, it is.

SPEAKER_01 (09:43):
So we got to see we got to see the show, and there
was a show that went with theKrakatoa punch, too.

SPEAKER_00 (09:48):
Yes, the Krakatoa erupted, and he kept like
shooting a water bottle up inthe air, and like what he said
something like room temperaturelava.
Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01 (10:00):
He had a different line every time.

SPEAKER_00 (10:01):
He was hilarious, the bartender.
So my drink was very good aswell.
The tamarindos syrup was a aunique flavor, but again,
another very good fruity drink.
I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, I really I don't have anycomplaints of Trader Sam's.

SPEAKER_01 (10:19):
No, I looked at their menu, they have quite a
few good food options too.

SPEAKER_00 (10:22):
And I kind of wish we'd I'd tried something there,
and that we'll get into whylater because the food at the
other place was meh.
But I'm thinking that might be adestination for me.
I have to hit Trader Sam's nowevery time I go.
Nice.
Because that was a new that wasthe biggest new thing I tried
was going there because I'dnever been in there and stuff.

(10:45):
So we walked around, did alittle shop, looked around at
the shops, some of the shopsdown at that end.
I gave you a DVC tour.
Yeah, I got the DVC tour.

SPEAKER_01 (10:54):
We were what'd you think of the DVC tower at
Disneyland?

SPEAKER_00 (10:58):
Oh, very nice.
Isn't that great?
Like the lobby.
I like that whole area, yeah.
Because it's very secluded.
You know, I'm used to justwalking by it at full speed,
walking in and out of the parksand stuff.
So I never actually walkedaround the hotels.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
Great hotels, great lobby areas.

SPEAKER_01 (11:18):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (11:19):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (11:19):
It's not like a home away from home.

SPEAKER_00 (11:21):
Yeah.
And it's it's a good location.
You still have to walk.
It was a little weird having tobecause they switched the
security entrance, so you gottawalk down a little ways to come
back in.
And I think that should beremedied.
I think there there should besomething for people in the
hotel there to be able to walkkind of straight out by the pool

(11:44):
and not have to do the whole endaround.

SPEAKER_01 (11:46):
There seems to be a monorail stop at the hotel.

SPEAKER_00 (11:49):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (11:50):
I mean, that's what needs to happen.

SPEAKER_00 (11:51):
Yeah, this is true.
And you brought that up that allthe hotels need a monorail stop.

SPEAKER_01 (11:55):
Yeah, it'd be easy.

SPEAKER_00 (11:56):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (11:57):
It's not that long of a little loop they can make
from the three hotels.

SPEAKER_00 (12:01):
Yeah.
They Disney Forward, that needsto be part of the project.

SPEAKER_01 (12:05):
It's just, it's just three more security gates.

SPEAKER_00 (12:07):
Yeah.
Right.
Overall, thinking about themerchandise.
Very disappointing.

SPEAKER_01 (12:15):
It was.

SPEAKER_00 (12:16):
The Pluto's.

SPEAKER_01 (12:16):
I didn't write anything about that down.
And yeah, the Pluto.

SPEAKER_00 (12:19):
We talked about it a lot.
And the Monsters Inc.
stuff was cool.
Yeah.
Everything was lots of cool.

SPEAKER_01 (12:24):
It was surprising that Pluto stuff was really
cool.

SPEAKER_00 (12:27):
That and the Monsters Inc., I really liked
all of that.
I was tempted to buy some ofthose Monsters Inc.
shorts.
But the rest of it, eh?

SPEAKER_01 (12:37):
The Halloween stuff, eh.
Yeah, for a Halloween.
It has to be great if it's goingto be Halloween stuff because
you can only wear it though.
Like the magic key Halloweenshirt that I saw.
I liked it, but it's only aHalloween shirt.

SPEAKER_00 (12:49):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (12:49):
I want.
If I want to show my magic key,my magic keyness off to
everybody.
I want to show them.

SPEAKER_00 (12:56):
Right?

SPEAKER_01 (12:56):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (12:57):
All year long, baby.
Rub it in.
Yeah.
So we ended that night.
So we thought we we were goingto be cutting it a little too
close by making it back down toEarl of Sandwich, which would
have been better.
Oh, definitely better.
We had to eat at Gigi's chickenshop.
And I just had chicken strips.
And you had a chicken wrap.

SPEAKER_01 (13:16):
Chicken wrap.
It was like a chicken lettucewrap thing.

SPEAKER_00 (13:19):
Yeah.
The chicken strips were meh, they were overpriced.
Yeah.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (13:25):
It was two chicken strips, right?

SPEAKER_00 (13:27):
No, I think three.
But they weren't huge.

SPEAKER_01 (13:31):
No.

SPEAKER_00 (13:33):
I don't see why I would ever go back there to eat.
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (13:36):
It's at that new paradise market.

SPEAKER_00 (13:38):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (13:38):
That's at the very end.

SPEAKER_00 (13:40):
Closest Disneyland Hotel.
Now the Korean place,potentially.
Yeah.
The coffee place.
There's others I would try, Iwould not go back to G.

SPEAKER_01 (13:48):
There's like the parkside bar or something
upstairs, something like that.

SPEAKER_00 (13:51):
Yeah.
And what's cool is you can orderin one spot your food, and then
you go to the inside to thetheir bar or whatever, their
counter, and you pick up yourfood there.
But you order from one place.

SPEAKER_01 (14:09):
Yeah, so that's the only place we tried because it
was late at night.
Yeah.
And that was the only placereally open.
It was pretty much closed whenwe went.
That might have been part of theproblem, too.
Because we were there, we didn'tget there till close to nine.
Yeah, they were cleaningeverything up.
Yeah.
I think that we should, I thinkwe should give it a second
chance.

SPEAKER_00 (14:24):
I'm not for Gigi's.

SPEAKER_01 (14:26):
No, but maybe but maybe someday.
Maybe Gigi's will be fine later, right?
With something different.
If you get like the chicken, they have some good looking
chicken.

SPEAKER_00 (14:32):
They had some bowls or something that potent had
some potential, but that Koreanlooked like it might be good.
I think it'll be a while beforeI'm willing to try it.
Me too.
Before I'm trying.
But anyway, the it wasn't bad.
It just eh.
It was meh.
And and I don't want to pay abunch of money for meh.

(14:55):
That's that probably the worstfood we had the whole time.
Yeah.
So what do we do next?
Oh, well, the next day we wentinto Disneyland.
Okay, so this was I used toalways drop California rope drop
California Adventure.
Because I had my little systemgoing, and I realize now that

(15:17):
with multi-pass and no longerhaving a fast pass system and
all of that, I'm more of a ifI'm gonna do three days, I'm
gonna do two rope drops atDisneyland and one at DCA.

SPEAKER_01 (15:28):
Yeah, because we didn't do a lot at Disneyland
because we couldn't go theretill 11 on two days.

SPEAKER_00 (15:32):
Yeah, and you're wanting to get a bunch of stuff
done at DCA.
So by the time we got overthere, yeah, it was like I don't
know.
We just didn't we kind ofoverdid DCA.
We did.

SPEAKER_01 (15:49):
I feel rope dropping DCA two days out of three is
overdoing it.
Yeah.
Especially the stuff we did whenwe didn't do stuff we could have
done.
Like I wrote Incredit Coasteronce because you just you
weren't gonna ride it right atthis time.
Yeah, I saw a road once, butthat was a choice, right?
I could have wrote it four orfour times.

SPEAKER_00 (16:06):
You could have because that was at times one of
the shorter lines.
Right.
That was a choice we made.
And that was weird.
So leading up to our trip, nolines.
We're because we watched theapps non-stop.
And as soon as we left, thewhole time we're there, except
for maybe Thursday was shortlines.

SPEAKER_01 (16:24):
Long lines, long, busy parks, busy parks,
especially at night.
I can't believe how many peoplestayed after the fireworks every
on Friday night.
And as soon as we left, crowdswent away.

SPEAKER_00 (16:34):
It's funny, we looked at the same time today.
Yeah, we looked at the same timetoday.

SPEAKER_02 (16:37):
Like, what the heck?

SPEAKER_00 (16:39):
Anyway, I did try because I'm not I'm usually for
my iced coffees, and I only hadone of the Starbucks, my regular
go-to cold brew with a littlehalf and half.
Now you find a new coffee.
So I don't usually do the sweetones, but we tried three new
ones.
I finally tried the black calffrom Docking Base 7.

(17:02):
I did the Asgardian Apple ColdBrew.
You did from Pim's Test Kitchen, and we both did the Mike Mocha
Nitro Cold Brew from Maurice's,which was it was good,
chocolatey, you know, it waslike a mocha, a cold brew mocha
nitro.

SPEAKER_01 (17:20):
And you have that you had that one coffee at the
was it the espresso cart?

SPEAKER_00 (17:24):
Did I have another one?

SPEAKER_01 (17:25):
You had like a Vietnamese.
Oh that's what I say.
You tried a new one that youreally like.
You so like that.

SPEAKER_00 (17:32):
So I had the Vietnamese iced coffee from the
Joffreys cart at the end of SanFrancisco, the bridge.
Uh-huh.
And really enjoyed that one.
Very strong coffee, but it'swith condensed milk.
And that added just a little bitof sweetness.
You could tell the coffee wassuper strong, but it just was
very caramely, chocolatey, butit didn't have caramel chocolate

(17:56):
in it.
It was just condensed milk andcoffee.
Very good.
Definitely recommend that one.

SPEAKER_01 (18:02):
Completely forgot I need to try that next time.
I wanted to try it, but I keptgetting it was my non-coffee
time.
We walked by there.
I have a certain coffee scheduleI need to be on.
When I need a coffee.
So I tried the bear paw coldbrew from Smoke Jumpers, and I
ended up having three of themduring the trip.
You had one I order one just byitself the first day.

(18:25):
Okay.
And then both breakfast days Ihad one.

SPEAKER_00 (18:28):
Okay.
For some reason I thought you'dhad it, but you also had the
micro Mocha Nitro Micro.
Mocha Nitro Cold Brew, right?
You had that one.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
I had many.

SPEAKER_01 (18:39):
Oh, I have many cold brews every time I got it.
You had many coffees.
I didn't try the one fromDaisy's.
That's the one you tried, right?
Is that no?
No, we didn't.
Neither of us it was a pumpkinone.
It was a pumpkin one.
We neither of us tried that.

SPEAKER_00 (18:49):
Not interested in any of the pumpkin coffees.

SPEAKER_01 (18:51):
I almost was just to see how they did it.
Yeah.
Because I'm I surprisingly likethis because I like to taste my
coffee when I have a cold, evena cold brew.
I like the coffee taste to bethere.
But this Bear Paw cold brew wasa pecan cold brew with salted
maple cold foam.
Yes.
So that's a lot of differentflavors in there.

(19:11):
And then with waffle pieces ontop.
So there's a lot of stuff inthere.
I used to like a lot of stuff.
If I go to like a local shoplike Black Rock that we have
here, or Dutch Bros, the localarea from here.
I'm not ordering that kind ofstuff.
No.
I'm not getting the fancy pantsstuff.
I get that like an Irish cream.

SPEAKER_00 (19:31):
Yeah.
That's what I oh the and thatI'm the same way.
It's a cold brew with half andhalf.
That's all I want.
I don't want to.
This was surprisingly good.
Yeah, occasionally I'll havelike a vanilla sweet cream cold
brew.
The black calf with the cocoapuffs on the top.
That was because I liked eatingthe cocoa puffs.

(19:51):
It's good.
And the coffee wasn't overlysweet.
It's not.
So with the cream cheese foam, the Asgardian apple cold brew
had apple foam on it.
Yeah.
And it was a caramel coffee coldbrew.
So that was good.
And then the I didn't mix in thethe apple foam into the coffee.

SPEAKER_01 (20:08):
Okay.

SPEAKER_00 (20:09):
And then so yeah, it was, and those were the only
ones that were, I would say, youreally unique.
But they were good.

SPEAKER_01 (20:17):
But they which is something you do not get at
Disney World.
No.
They're, I mean, these were allpretty good cold brews.
Cold brews rock at Disneyland.
Yeah.
There's a reason I go there forthe cold brews now.
When I go in, I'm gonna try thenew cold brews.
I'm looking at the list of allthe new ones, seeing what's
seasonal.

SPEAKER_00 (20:34):
And Disney World is just garbage.

SPEAKER_01 (20:36):
It's bad.
Yeah.
Once in a while, they'll throw agood one out there, but it's not
good.

SPEAKER_00 (20:40):
The only one that's consistently good there is at
the La Petite Cafe at theRiviera.
They're with the almond foam, almond honey foam or whatever.
Yeah.
Other than that, it's Joffrey'sand it just it's at best, it's a
drinkable coffee.
Yeah, you're going with you'refinding a Starbucks.
Yeah, but it's nothing special.

(21:02):
So that was coffee was a bigdeal.

SPEAKER_01 (21:04):
That was the coffee trip.
Yeah.
So we should we talk about justfood altogether next?

SPEAKER_00 (21:10):
Sure.

SPEAKER_01 (21:10):
All arounds?

SPEAKER_00 (21:11):
Breakfast was that was easy.
We did a Ronto wrap the firstday, and then we did that
breakfast sandwich.
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (21:16):
So Ronto wraps, we've talked about them before.
Awesome.
Bomb.
Yeah.
Can't beat them.
So good.
Really happy with the breakfastsandwich at Smoke Jumpers.

SPEAKER_00 (21:25):
I'm glad because I really hyped it up.
You did?
Yeah.
Didn't care for the breakfastfries.
They were fries with like somesort of seasoning on them.
Yeah, it was like a chili.

SPEAKER_01 (21:35):
It's chili seasoning.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (21:36):
Smoked chili.
And I mean, eh, for breakfast.
The second time I got it, I justgot the cutie oranges.
They gave me two of them insteadof fries.

SPEAKER_01 (21:45):
I I like the fries the second time better than I
knew I was having them the firsttime.
It took me a while to figure outwhat's going on.

SPEAKER_00 (21:50):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (21:51):
I thought I was just getting fries.
And it's weird.
It's weird having French frieswith breakfast anyway.
Yeah.
I think they should have like, but there's a hash brown on your
breakfast sandwich.
Yes.
Right?
So it has a sausage patty, ahash brown, egg, and I think it
has cheese.
Cheese and their smoked jumpersauce.

SPEAKER_00 (22:11):
And then a green chili.
And a green and the green chilimade it for me.
Yeah.
I wish it had a little bit more.
It could have had one more, right?
A couple of green chilies.
So we had those, we had that twodays.
Two days.
So that was prettystraightforward breakfast.
Yeah.
It was just get some food, callit good.

(22:32):
Move on.
Yeah.
But it was the but they weredecent breakfasts.
And we were we never rushedthrough breakfast.
It wasn't like grab it and walkaround with food.
We sat down and enjoyed what wewere eating and we become really
good at not rushing throughanything.
Yeah.
And being leisure.
Yeah.
Because I think it's it justcomes from knowing I'm gonna I'm

(22:52):
that's true.

SPEAKER_01 (22:53):
I mean, if you if something happens where you
don't get to ride something,yeah, it's okay.
Yeah, because you're going back.
You make sure you hit the thingsyou really want to do.
But even if you're there for thefirst time, you don't have to
run around the park.
Yeah.
And if you have a good plangoing in, if you talk to
somebody that knows, have yourmus-do's and sprinkle in some

(23:14):
other stuff, and yeah, it makesfor a good trip.

SPEAKER_00 (23:17):
So I separated my meals because we did Lamplight
Lounge, Jazz Kitchen, and MagicKey Terrace.
Right.
We did three, so we have threelunch plans.
Three late lunch plans.
Right.
Although actually Jazz Kitchenturned into dinner plans because
it wasn't until six o'clock bythe time we got there.
But anyway, my two dinners, Iwas gonna bring this up, of that

(23:42):
were non-those meals, or my twoother meal, two other meals I
had.
The pepperoni flatbread from RedRose Tavern, really good,
considering it like ten and ahalf bucks, which for a pretty
filling meal, that's a greatprice for Disneyland.
So it wasn't overly strongpepperoni, it was decent.

(24:04):
It was, you know, it was a goodmeal.

SPEAKER_01 (24:07):
I can't remember what I got at Red Rose Tavern.

SPEAKER_00 (24:09):
You got that wrap thing, and you really liked it.
Oh, it was a little spicy.
That was really good.
Yeah.
So overall, I mean it was like aa folded like a crunch wrap.

SPEAKER_01 (24:20):
Yeah, crunch wrap.
It looked like a crunch wrapfrom Taco Bell.
It was a spicy sauce on it.
Yeah.
And they have it in chicken andbeef and pepperoni, maybe.
Something else.
You can get them like three orfour three or four different
flavors, yeah.
Or meats in there.

SPEAKER_00 (24:34):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (24:34):
And it was really good.
I forgot all about that.
So just like your Vietnamesecoffee, I forgot I had that
until you said pepper.
I said I bought something theretoo.
And I wasn't sure.
I would have that again.

SPEAKER_00 (24:45):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (24:45):
I would do that again.

SPEAKER_00 (24:46):
I wasn't sure about what you ordered.
I thought, well, maybe I'll andI didn't, but I think if I go
back, I might be willing to trythat.

SPEAKER_01 (24:52):
Yeah.
It was filling, not expensive.

SPEAKER_00 (24:55):
Not expensive.

SPEAKER_01 (24:56):
And very good.

SPEAKER_00 (24:57):
Yeah.
The only other the other meal wehad, well, we were sitting, I
think we were just havingsomething to drink or you you
grabbed a cold brew and I hadlike a sprite.
And then I we were gonna go toMagic Key.
We had reservations, and we keptpushing that back.
Uh-huh.
It started out of two and itturned into like 3.30 or

(25:18):
something by the time we gotaround to because we kept doing
other stuff.

SPEAKER_01 (25:22):
And and looking at the looking at the Magic Key
Terrace menu, there wasn't abunch of good food on there that
I really wanted to have thatday.
It looked like it might tastegood, but it was nothing we were
either of us really wanted.

SPEAKER_00 (25:35):
I I ended up pulling you over to Hungry Bear
Jamboree.
You did barbecue Jamboreebecause I love their brisket
sandwich.
Just to me, one of the bestsandwiches there.
They put a lot of brisket on it,uh pickled onions, pickled
jalapenos.
I put a little regular barbecuesauce on it, not a ton.
And the side of coleslaw, youcan get fries, coleslaw or

(25:57):
something else, but that was agood meal.
And then yours, you had a salad.
It was really good.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (26:03):
That was so I kind of wanted to get that sandwich.

unknown (26:06):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (26:07):
The same one you did, which I will we'll get next
time.
It's gonna be a it's gonna beone of my go-tos next time for
sure.
It's one of my must-do's.
Yeah, I need to have that, but Ijust really didn't want anything
that heavy, right?
Because I was walking around somuch, I was drinking a bunch of
water and just wanted somethinglike lighter.
So I got the salad and the sauceon it was great.

(26:27):
It was a barbecue chicken, abarbecue salad with brisket.

SPEAKER_00 (26:31):
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (26:31):
Right?
And it had it had a corn rib, which is weird.
I didn't know how to eat it.
It took me a while to figure itout.
I just grabbed it and startedchowing it down.
Yeah, it's like a quarter of acorn on the cob, a quarter of a
cob.

SPEAKER_00 (26:43):
They cook it like regular ribs, and you're
supposed to eat it like the cobis the bone.

SPEAKER_01 (26:47):
I kind of did that, I think.
I just kind of grabbed andstarted chowing on it.
It had a chili vinaigrette,yeah.
Which is really it added spiceto the lettuce and stuff with
it.
It was really good.

SPEAKER_00 (26:58):
Yeah, I was wanting that sandwich so much that like
eating something lighter,actually, eating something
lighter would have been verygood.
As we will get to when becausewe went to Magic Key Terrace
after that.
But yeah, we can't go wrong withthe coleslaw and the and the
sandwich.
But that was that was actuallythe last day.

(27:19):
That was the last, right?

SPEAKER_01 (27:21):
We're we're making yeah, we're not going day by
day.

SPEAKER_00 (27:22):
We're just going to we're just talking about the
food.
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (27:25):
I think this was that was on Friday.

SPEAKER_00 (27:27):
This was a foodie one, yeah.
So Wednesday, we we had ourreservation lamplight lounge.

SPEAKER_01 (27:33):
Really like that place.
I love the place.
We did sit downstairs this time, which the menu is really short
food-wise.
Yeah.
So if you go upstairs, you getthe full menu.
You go downstairs, there's likefour or five food items and then
drinks.

SPEAKER_00 (27:47):
And we we went light.

We both had the same thing (27:50):
the roasted squash, panzanella
salad.
Unfortunately, and we weren't wedidn't realize it until we were
almost done.
They didn't add the squash, itwas delicato squash.
And they substituted withpeaches, nectarines, I think.
Nectarines instead ofpersimmons.

SPEAKER_01 (28:08):
It was weird, yeah.
It was although it tasted, itwas good.
It was very good, very good, butnot what we were expecting.

SPEAKER_00 (28:15):
The I the squash would have been good having the
squash on there because thatsavory, because it was very tart
with the it because it had araisin something vinaigrette.
Golden raisin vinaigrette.
Right.
And so it had a little bit oftartness, and so then it was
only the goat cheese and thepumpkin seeds to to mellow it

(28:38):
out in the croutons.
The squash would have helpedkind of balance all that with
kind of the savory of thesquash.
Very strange.
Overall, it was still very good, but we didn't realize until we
were pretty much done.
And wait a minute.
This squash salad had no squash.
Yeah, that was weird.
So, drinks.

(28:59):
We just had one.

SPEAKER_01 (29:00):
What'd you have?
What did I have?
I had the I didn't write itdown.

SPEAKER_00 (29:05):
You didn't?
No.
Well, you can look it up, butI'll talk about my drink.
So I had the hero work.
I believe it was$17 or$18.
Huckleberry vodka, dragon fruitsyrup, lemon juice, and agave.
It was very sweet.
It was like a sweet tart candy.
It was actually, it was very, very good with the salad.

(29:29):
It just it a little more savory, would have balanced it out, but
it's one I I want to try makingsometime.
Huckleberry vodka, dragon fruitsyrup, lemon juice, and a gum.
Really good drink.

SPEAKER_01 (29:41):
So I know I wanted to order the over budget because
we had that in our yes.
We did we didn't do that.
We didn't order anything we'vewe've made.
No.
Which was weird.
So what did I go with?
I think I went with was it theSunrise Spectacular?
I don't know.
No, that's.
That sounds like more of athat's what I was thinking in

(30:02):
the beginning.

SPEAKER_00 (30:02):
Okay, now I'm gonna pull up my app.

SPEAKER_01 (30:06):
Yes, we're looking at what I had.
It wasn't with tequila.
Dining.
I think I got the sunrisespectacular.
Oh, wait, maybe you did.
I did.
I got the sunrise spectacularbecause I'm looking over I had
about ten different things I wasgonna order, and that has
bourbon, pineapple to orangejuices, agave nectar, and a dash
of bitters.

(30:26):
And it's$19.
And it was good.
It's not memorable.

SPEAKER_00 (30:31):
That's right.
You did have that because it wasI took it we tried each other's
little sip, and I was glad Ibecause yours looked good, but I
was kind of glad I didn't orderit because it was very bourbon
forward.
Their drinks are have a heavypour at Disneyland.
So kudos to you guys for havinga heavy pour with your drink.

(30:52):
Thank you.
Thank you, Disney.
Thank you, Disney.
But yeah, it was one of thosewhere I'm like, okay, I wasn't
feeling bourbon at the moment.
Right.
A lot of really interestingdrinks.
Yeah.
Yours was good.
That was Lamplight Lounge.
That was Wednesday.
Thursday we went to JazzKitchen.

(31:13):
We just did the walk-up at rightat about 5 30, 6 o'clock, I
think was by the time we gotthere.
Uh-huh.
Walked right in.
I think we waited like twominutes after we gave them our
names.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (31:25):
Thought it would be busy because it was so busy and
there was no reservationsavailable.
Yeah.
Got nervous.
Still walked all the way down.

SPEAKER_00 (31:32):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (31:33):
Trying to think of what we're going to do if it
failed.

SPEAKER_00 (31:35):
If it had, I it would have been Earl of
Sandwich.

SPEAKER_01 (31:38):
Yeah, probably.

SPEAKER_00 (31:38):
That would have been my go-to.

SPEAKER_01 (31:39):
But um yeah, we got right in.

SPEAKER_00 (31:41):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (31:42):
Took us upstairs.
We got a view, we got a greatview of the right by the glass
of the parks railing and the newrestaurant they're making
they're building.
It's um right across the streetthere.
The tortilla Joe's hole in theground.
Right.
Yes.
It's gonna be a great steak andbourbon bar or something.
Yeah, that's what it is.
Okay.
Yeah.
But Jazz Kitchen.

(32:02):
Didn't know what to expect.
Never eaten there.

SPEAKER_00 (32:05):
I had eaten there once, really enjoyed it.
Loved it.
It was what year was that?
2020.
My birthday in 2020.
So five and a half years ago.
Yep.
Loved it.
Loved it.
So good.
I just had the Jazz Kitchenlager.
It was very lagery.
It was just a beer.
I it was a 20-ounce, I did the20-ounce pour.

(32:29):
And I just, after walkingaround, it was hot and muggy on
Thursday.
I just wanted a cold beer.
Yep.
And so you ordered a cocktail.

SPEAKER_01 (32:38):
And a hurricane, the Jazz Kitchen Hurricane.

SPEAKER_00 (32:41):
Very good cocktail.

SPEAKER_01 (32:42):
Very good.
Very good.
And then I topped it off with apurple haze beer.

SPEAKER_00 (32:47):
Oh, I forgot you.

SPEAKER_01 (32:49):
Because I drink it so fast.

SPEAKER_00 (32:50):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (32:50):
And then I needed something to wash down my
delicious Nola Barbecue Gulfshrimp and grits.

SPEAKER_00 (32:57):
Yes.
For dinner.
It was so good.
And it was either I wanted thatone, or they had the shrimp and
dumplings, which was shrimp andgnocchi.
Or the Creole pasta jambalaya, which is what I went with.
Uh-huh.
Now I really would have likedit.

(33:19):
I part of me just wanted likethe comfort food with the rice
and everything.
This was so good.
The it was something about thefettuccine, spinach fettuccine
instead of rice.
It wasn't heavy at all, but itwas a good-sized serving.

(33:41):
Usually the spices sit with you,and I was a little worried about
like this is gonna sit in mystomach all night.
No, it wasn't heavy.
It wasn't, it didn't come backto bite me later.
It was a good meal, and it hadandouille sausage, chicken, and
it had smaller like gulf shrimp,or big gulf shrimp.

(34:05):
Looked great, or the like thesalad size shrimp, whatever,
small shrimp, but it was tasty.
That was some good food.

SPEAKER_01 (34:13):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (34:14):
And with all the veggies and whatnot in there.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (34:16):
They have a crab beignet on their appetizer that
looks like it.
I mean, I didn't see them.
It just sounds good.

SPEAKER_00 (34:23):
Every their appetizers look good.

SPEAKER_01 (34:25):
Yes, but we didn't have those because that's a lot
of food.

SPEAKER_00 (34:27):
In the future, it might be just gourd or some
appetizers and split thembetween all of us.
And yeah.
But definitely recommend thatplace.
Yep.
Very good.
Very tasty.
Pricey, but you know, I thinkour meals, the meal with one
drink with my one beer was 65bucks or something like that.

(34:49):
So a tax and tip.
So anyway, recommended.
Yep.
After that, I was like, I thinkit because it was about 7:30.
I just decided to go back to thehotel room.
You you hung out in the park fora couple more hours at least.
I was like, yeah, I'm donebecause I was just kind of worn
out that second day.
Or I kind of wanted to save itup because I thought the next
day would be a really long day.

SPEAKER_01 (35:10):
And that's a good trip tip, I think, for groups.
Yeah.
I mean, it's just me and you,but if it's even a larger group,
it doesn't matter.
It's everyone does Disney theirown way every day.
Yeah.
And you gotta listen to yourselfand your body to go all three
days or so and make sure you'reat full enjoyment mode.
And so if someone wants to goback to a hotel, you shouldn't

(35:32):
say, Oh, but I want to stay.
You need to stay with me, orvice versa.
Yeah.
Right?
It doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_00 (35:38):
You don't have to go back.

SPEAKER_01 (35:39):
That's a decent that's the great thing about
being walking distance from thehotel.

SPEAKER_00 (35:43):
Yeah, you don't have to go back, you don't have to
stay, just everybody does theirown thing.

SPEAKER_01 (35:47):
As long as they're not a little kid that needs
guidance.

SPEAKER_00 (35:49):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (35:50):
So supervision.
Yeah, just yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (35:53):
I went back and yeah, I was pretty wiped out.
That first day kind of took alot out of me.
I actually woke up in my backbecause of not being able to
figure out the bed, and I couldbarely walk, and I'm like, oh
crap, I gotta go ride rides anddo all this other stuff, and my
back's completely thrown out.
But by the time we left, I itwas actually okay.
Left the room that morning.

SPEAKER_01 (36:14):
So our only other place we ate was Magic Key
Terrace.

SPEAKER_00 (36:16):
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (36:17):
And we that wasn't the plan when we went there to
eat anything because we ate atHungry Bear.

unknown (36:21):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (36:22):
Our plan before we left was to eat there, but on
our walk there, our plan was tojust get a drink and hang out
and check it out because Ihadn't been there yet.
Exactly.
And I'm a brand new magic keyholder as of that trip.
Yes.
Right?
So I wanted to look at it andjust see what it was all about.
Yeah.
Right.
And so we went there and thewaitress was amazing.

(36:42):
And we just she asked what wewanted, and we said we're just
gonna sell.
Yeah, she upsold us like agenius.
Yes.
Like, we'll just have a coupledrinks.
Oh, are you sure you reallydon't want to have something to
like nipple on?
But you need food.
Right.
Like I was like, I felt like Ihad to order food after that.

SPEAKER_00 (36:57):
Like this overly caring ant.
So we ordered we ordered thefonduta.
Yes.
Which fondue with Christini.
It had potatoes, like minipotatoes, cut up and roasted
mini potatoes that you could dipin, and some Spanish chorizo.
Yeah, very good.
Very tasty.

SPEAKER_01 (37:18):
Very tasty.
It went well with the drinks.

SPEAKER_00 (37:19):
I mean, I was glad we were hungry at all.

SPEAKER_01 (37:21):
No, but it worked well.
It did.
It worked well.
It added to the drinks that wehad.

SPEAKER_00 (37:26):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (37:26):
I had the 54321, which was Captain Morgan's
carousel, coconut pineapplecream, and fresh lime juice.
Yeah.
It was 1875, and it was verygood.
I loved the looks of it.
Visually, it was great looking.
It was.
And I thought it tasted great.
I mean, I'm recommending wetried to make it sometime here.

SPEAKER_00 (37:44):
I thought we had, but I guess we have.
No, we've done something else.
Oh, drop in if you dare.
We did that.
I thought we'd done another one.
Oh, we did just recently.
The raw La Renacida.
Okay.
That was from there, which was agood drink.
So I did that.
I did the shipwreck.
Bacardi rum, Gifford's PassionFruit Liqueur, Orgite, coconut

(38:06):
milk, lime juice, topped withMyers Dark Rum and Aromatic
Bitters.
This tasted like rum mixed withcoconut milk.
It was it looked very nice.
It looked great visually.
Very nice looking drink.
But it was it was very coconutmilk forward and then the rum.

(38:26):
So I didn't get any of thepassion fruit liqueur, the lime
juice.
None of that really camethrough.
And the orgit didn't.
That has a way of just kind oflike mellowing out, or I don't
know.
It brings flavors together tome.

SPEAKER_01 (38:42):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (38:42):
This just tasted like a lot.
It was okay.
It wasn't great.
I don't think I'd ever order itagain.
Which is kind of disappointingnow because the two times I've
gone to Magic Key Lounge, Ihaven't been like really
impressed with the drinks.
They've been okay, but it'snever, it's not something I'd
order again.
So yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (39:03):
Okay, we talked a lot, long time about food.

SPEAKER_00 (39:07):
We have.
Are we all done?

SPEAKER_01 (39:08):
I think we're done with food.

SPEAKER_00 (39:09):
The only two things food, I got two more food
comments.

SPEAKER_01 (39:12):
Okay.

SPEAKER_00 (39:13):
Is I didn't try Ursula's enchanted waffles,
which are filled with the Ubecustard.
And I wanted a Jack Jack'scookie num.
As did I.
But we didn't actually eat awhole lot of sweets.

SPEAKER_01 (39:24):
No, I had two, I did two churros.
You did.

SPEAKER_00 (39:27):
In the evening twice.
And I had something.
I didn't get my Mickey ice creambar.
You didn't.

SPEAKER_01 (39:32):
We searched at that.
That was a crazy, crazy scamperfor it.

SPEAKER_00 (39:36):
We walked all over the place looking for this.
Right.
It wasn't happening.
I think we walked from Galaxy'sEdge to Tomorrowland, back over
to Frontierland, and could notfind it anywhere.

SPEAKER_01 (39:49):
It was late in the evening.

SPEAKER_00 (39:50):
Yeah, it was right before the landing.
So there we go.
So rides.
Rides.
We'll end on rides.

SPEAKER_01 (39:57):
Okay, so the first disappointing thing before you
even left that Big Thunder wasclosed.

SPEAKER_00 (40:02):
Yes.
And Radiator Springs Racers.

SPEAKER_01 (40:04):
Yeah, but that's not a that's not a huge miss for me.
I mean I can miss that and gonot riding Big Thunder kind of
hurts.

SPEAKER_00 (40:10):
Because it was closed at my Disney World
channel.
It was.
So I haven't ridden that in along time.

SPEAKER_01 (40:14):
But I did get to try three things I never tried
before, and you one thing.
Yes.
That you never tried before.
So I got to try the Guardian'sAfter Dark, Monsters After Dark,
or whatever they call it.
Exactly.
I don't know the official namefor it, but it it's great.
Let me tell you, first of all, everything new hits.
Yep.

(40:35):
Great, right?
Guardians After Dark was just asgood as the regular ride.
I don't know if it's betterbecause I've rode Guardians so
many times.
But we rode we rode Guardians atotal of six times.
Six times.
Three because they let you havea multipass for each.
Yeah, and we utilize that likecrazy.
And it was, I mean, GuardiansAfter Dark was great.

SPEAKER_00 (40:56):
Yes.
Because it's different.
And it's a good difference.

SPEAKER_01 (40:59):
Yeah.
And so before we talk about thesame thing we did before, I'm
going to say about the HauntedMansion holiday.

SPEAKER_00 (41:05):
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (41:05):
Right?
I loved it.
I'm really disappointed we onlywrote it twice.
Okay.
I really want to do it morebecause I mean it's it's right
up there with my favorite ridesnow.
I love, love, loved it.
It's good.
We're talking, I mean, I likeHaunted Mansion.
Yeah.
I'm not a diehard hauntedmansion buying the merch and
singing the song around thehouse.
No.

(41:25):
I'll sing the Mickey a Minniesong 10 billion times before I
sing the Haunted Mansion song.
But that was the visually, it'sgreat.
The way they incorporated NightBefore Christmas into everything
that was Haunted Mansion in thesame rooms.

SPEAKER_02 (41:39):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (41:40):
Amazing.
The songs are some of myfavorite.
It's one of my favorite movies.
I mean, I went and opened whenit was on th when it became 3D.
Uh-huh.
It was one of the first moviesreleased 3D in the theater.
One of the new 3D glasses.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I went opening night to thatyears ago.
So it's one of my favoritemovies.
And so I just loved it.

SPEAKER_00 (41:57):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (41:58):
So I'm definitely want to go back next Christmas
or Halloween.
I think Christmas is ourshooting for a Christmas trip
next year.
And just to haunt a mansion itup when I go.
Yeah.
But now let's both talk aboutwhat we both experienced for the
first time.
The Walt Disney show.

SPEAKER_00 (42:12):
Yes.
The Walt Disney show.
I loved it.

SPEAKER_01 (42:16):
I was nervous because of all this all the crap
I heard online.

SPEAKER_00 (42:19):
And people like, he looked weird.
I didn't think he looked weird,the animatronic.

SPEAKER_01 (42:24):
He didn't live on video, he looked weird.
The stuff I saw online, itlooked strange.
I don't know if it was thelighting they had on their
cameras or the angle they tookit.
I think it might have been theangle.
Yeah, but were we sat everytime?
Three quarters of the way down.

SPEAKER_00 (42:38):
Three quarters of the way.
Three quarters of the way.
Please go at least threequarters of the way down.
That's only hep, ma'am.
That's halfway.
Please keep going.
That was funny.

SPEAKER_01 (42:47):
So were we sat every time?
He looked great.
And the movie beforehand wasamazing.

SPEAKER_00 (42:53):
Yes.
There were a lot of clips out ofthat that came from Hollywood
Studios, the Walt story thatplays in one of the theaters
there in their little museum.
But the showroom, the museumroom, all new exhibits on like
park sketches and great.

(43:15):
Everything about that was great.

SPEAKER_01 (43:16):
Yeah, 10 different park sketches leading up to how
to the final sketch.
To the final sketch.

SPEAKER_00 (43:22):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (43:23):
Different sketchboards on every land.
And how they were created andvisualized.
And yeah.
Just amazing.
That's my kind that's my kind ofstuff.

SPEAKER_02 (43:31):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (43:32):
That's how that's how i Disney.
Best geeky wise.
And we did that three times.

SPEAKER_00 (43:37):
Three times.
Yeah.
We watched that three times.
But I'm one who I'll do like Iwould have done Lincoln twice.
Yeah.
Had it had that show not beenthere.

SPEAKER_01 (43:47):
And part of it is their lack of shows they have at
Disney.

SPEAKER_00 (43:51):
Yeah.
That's becoming verydisappointing.

SPEAKER_01 (43:53):
It is.
It's more, it's more noticeableevery time we go.
Yeah.
How little shows we have.
We're going to see.
I've never done crush twice in atrip.
We did it twice.

SPEAKER_00 (44:04):
We did it twice.
I've never seen crush twice.
Did the tiki room twice, milMickey's Philharmagic twice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Very disappointing.

SPEAKER_01 (44:13):
But the parks were also very busy, like we talked
about before.
So we only hit Mickey andMinnie's once.
We did.
And it has a lot to do withwhere we rope dropped.
We didn't start it last, so wedidn't.
And it's very disappointing tome because I don't like not
going there and only writing itonce.
It seems kind of a bummer.
Yeah.
After we left.
I didn't notice it.
But one day I had a lightninglane for it at 10.

SPEAKER_00 (44:36):
10 30, yes.
That night I left early afterdinner.

SPEAKER_01 (44:40):
We both had a lightning lane.
You were already gone.
It was on there and it ended upshutting down.
And so we got a we got amulti-experience pass for it.
For the next day.
It was amazing.

SPEAKER_00 (44:50):
Right.
Because that let us and becausewe got another one for Grizzly
River Run shutting down thatmorning.
And so we had two, and that letus hit both Pirates and I think
Indiana Jones.

SPEAKER_01 (45:04):
No?
We did Indiana Jones the firsttime.

SPEAKER_00 (45:05):
No, we rope dropped Indiana Jones the first day.
Did we do Haunted Mansion?

SPEAKER_01 (45:10):
We might have done Haunted Man.
I don't forgot.
Yeah.
I don't know if what I forgotwhat we did with the other ones.

SPEAKER_00 (45:14):
Something like that.
We did Rise once.
And it was like 20 minutes line, even though it said 40.
So that was really quick.
So that was the first time in afew years that I've seen that
whole show and there hasn't beensome part of it shut down.

SPEAKER_01 (45:31):
Yeah, it was very good.
I haven't read I didn't rideRise the last two times I've
been to Disney.

SPEAKER_00 (45:37):
And I have, but it's like a part a piece of it has
been shut down the last fewtimes.

SPEAKER_01 (45:42):
Yeah, but I so I wrote it so many times when it
first opened.
Yeah.
That I haven't wrote it for awhile because the line's so
long.
Yeah.
I don't want to pay for an extrasingle pass for it.

SPEAKER_00 (45:53):
But this had everything going, everything
right.
The cannons, all of theanimatronics were working.
Everything was working.
And that in itself is just anabsolute miracle nowadays
because it seems likesomething's broken down.
And what's great is they have itwhere they can shut down that
little piece and not shut downthe whole ride.

(46:16):
But it's still nice to be ableto see the whole thing.
Best time ever on smugglers run.
We had fun.
Yeah, we were the pilots.

SPEAKER_01 (46:24):
Yeah, me and you killed it.
We I think I don't know what thepeople behind us thought because
there were six of us.
It was a Fabio Four.
Yes.
And me and you, and they theytold us we were the pilots, and
I I told you, I said, should wejust let one of them be the
pilots?

SPEAKER_00 (46:35):
And I said, No.

SPEAKER_01 (46:36):
So I said, okay, let's do it.
And we just goofed off the wholetime.

SPEAKER_00 (46:40):
We were smacking each other's buttons and
reaching across and yelling ateach other.
Yeah, that was a good time.
Because we got off and you justcouldn't stop laughing.

SPEAKER_01 (46:50):
I left for a while.
I was still laughing about it,thinking how fun that was.
It was a good and we rode that acouple times.
We did that twice.
We did I did Ann Jones twice.
You left the second time.

unknown (47:01):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (47:01):
We did Haunted Mansion twice.
We did Tiana's twice.

SPEAKER_00 (47:04):
Yes.
I love Tiana's.
Didn't get really well.
No, the second time we got kindof wet.
Did I do Tiana three times?
But we only did Grizzly once.
I think we did I did Aerialslike three or four times.
We did.
Because it was just easy to geton.

SPEAKER_01 (47:20):
That's that's one thing I was gonna say.
That if you're if you're ropedropping and everything's busy,
just go do aerials to start yourday.
Oh, it makes you happy.
Yes, it starts your day off in agreat mood.
Singing.
It's not technically the bestride.
It's there's not it's not it'snot a great ride all around, but

(47:40):
all around it is a great ride atthe same time because you're so
happy.

SPEAKER_00 (47:44):
Dancing famous.

SPEAKER_01 (47:45):
We danced along to the turtle, dude.
Yeah, and uh yeah, that justthat's why I told you during the
ride.

SPEAKER_00 (47:51):
I said, This is how you need to start a day, being
this happy because we did thatand then we did something else
that was happy and fun.

SPEAKER_01 (47:57):
It felt good, yeah.
We did soaring twice, soaring acouple times, we stood in line
for four web slingers.
We did every day, and we gotstuck in the line and soaring
for like four hours.
Yes, that was so long, uh it'scaught in there, and yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (48:12):
So yeah, I mean we rode everything.

SPEAKER_01 (48:15):
Everything we wanted to.
We did we did the Ferris wheel.

SPEAKER_00 (48:19):
Paloranda did that one, and I that was one of my
I've gotta ride this again, thestationary.
It still kind of freaked me outa little bit, didn't freak me
out as much as that girl thatwas on with us, right?
There were two great twoJapanese girls who were on
there, and one of them was likepractically on the floor in a in
the fetal position.
She was freaking out so bad, right?

(48:40):
But then once it ended, she'slike, Okay, I'm better.

SPEAKER_01 (48:43):
That was good.
We messed up during the rideswhen we we have some good
interactions with people, yeah,right.
That's what it's all about, justbeing kind to everybody around
you, making sure theirexperience is good.
Yeah, that's when that's when Ihand out a sticker or cheers to
ear stickers we carry aroundwith us.
Great interactions with staff, but only when I well, only when
we have a good interaction, yeah, right?

(49:03):
If it's a positive interaction,and I don't know if we need a
second logo because I'm notgonna hand them out to kids
because of our beer clinkingthings.
I don't know if we need to havea kids logo sticker.

SPEAKER_00 (49:14):
So and shout out to Dre on uh Guardians twice.
We had great interactions withhim once he was very
accommodating for me requestinga certain seat, and then the
second time he when it opened atthe end of the ride and it was
the monsters after dark, hejumped out from the side and
screamed.

(49:34):
That was hilarious, hilarious.
So, yes, Dre was awesome on thatride, and very Peanut.
She was very helpful for youthis the last morning when we
were trying to get in and yourphone was kind of glitching and
stuff, and she helped out.
And that was literally her namewas Peanut.
Yep.
At least that's what her nametag said.

SPEAKER_01 (49:54):
So yeah, cast interactions.
If you're if you're nice tothem, they're nice to you.
Yeah, and they're nice to youwhen you're nice to them.
Both ways it goes, right?
And leave them a cast complimenton your app.
Yes, as soon as it happens, right?
Just get on your phone and doit.
It means so much to them.
It really, it really is nice.
It's a nice thing to do.

SPEAKER_00 (50:14):
When they're when they go above and beyond for
you, and it can factor intopromotions and things like that.
All sorts of stuff.

SPEAKER_01 (50:20):
And they get it, they get a little kudos from
their higher ups, and it's justa good thing to do.

SPEAKER_00 (50:25):
So, overall, great trip.
Well, I mean, it's not like it'sever a bad trip, but it'd be
hard to make it a bad trip.
But you know, relaxing, fun, genpop.
It was good.
Yeah, good.
Good trip.
So till next time.
Cheers.
Cheers.
