What would it look like to spend an entire day exclusively in Galaxy's Edge as a dedicated Star Wars fan? We tackle this question by creating our own immersive itineraries focused solely on Batuu, breaking down every experience, meal, and purchase along the way.

Our detailed plans take you from rope drop to park close, maximizing every moment in this meticulously crafted Star Wars land. We start with early morning strategies – should you head straight to Rise of the Resistance or save it for later? – before mapping out perfect timing for iconic experiences like building your own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop ($219.99) and creating a droid companion at Droid Depot ($119.99).

Food and beverages play a crucial role in any Galaxy's Edge adventure. We share why the Ronto Morning Wrap makes the perfect breakfast ("hands down my favorite breakfast in the park"), when to schedule your Oga's Cantina reservations for maximum enjoyment, and whether those colorful milk concoctions are worth trying. From the Andorian Fried Tip-yip to the signature Jedi Mind Trick cocktail, we cover all the must-try consumables that enhance the immersive experience.

Beyond rides and food, we discuss shopping strategies at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities, character encounters with Kylo Ren and Rey, and how to experience the land's special ambiance as day turns to night. Most importantly, we break down the complete cost – revealing how a full day exclusively in Galaxy's Edge can easily reach $800-1200 when including all experiences, meals, and souvenirs. Is it worth the splurge for the dedicated Star Wars fan who may not care about the rest of Disneyland? We think you might find the Force is strong with this particular adventure.

Here's who we are and what is in store for you

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome to Cheers to Ears, where today
we're back to two people in theroom.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Yes our guests have left us.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Yes, it's weird looking across with no one there
.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
So now it's just about drinking and talking.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Yeah, but now our sound's gonna be better.
Yes, yeah, that was anexperiment last week, and today
we're gonna drink one of myfavorite drinks, the Jedi Mind
Trick.
I've never had this.
You've had it in the park.
Yes, we did not get exactlyright.
I'll tell you already.
Oh, really, no, it doesn'ttaste exactly the same.
It's a lot more sweet, but wedidn't want to have the exact
same ingredients.
Okay, I think it's a couple ofthe things we've changed.

(00:35):
The one of the things we'vechanged, it's a mainstay.
It's made with Kettle One,botanical Grapefruit and Rose
Vodka, brovo, lucky, falernum, liqueur Bowls, blue Carousel,
white Grape Juice, lime Juiceand Grapefruit Bitters.
I think it was the LemonBitters that makes it even more

(00:58):
tart than the Grapefruit.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yes, I would think so .
That's what I think thedifference was and I couldn't
find grapefruit bitters, sothat's why we went with the
lemon bitters.
Uh-huh, and we didn't use thesame vodka.
We used the Eddie's, or DeepEddie's, grapefruit vodka,
grapefruit vodka, which we had, which we already had.
It was a different type offlurnum, yeah, and a different

(01:20):
type of carousel.
Different type of carousel, different brand, which probably,
I mean it might make a littlebit of a difference I don't
think that makes too much.
Yeah, it was just a splash andit sold for $17.50.
Not bad, not bad.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, for your two-drink limit.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
It's in a martini glass.
Yeah, with ice it's not as tartas the Sunspot.
That one was very tart.
Yeah, that was this one is is,like you said, a sweet tart.
Yeah, candy flavor.
If blue had a flavor, thiswould be it that's what I said
it's not bad.
I'm curious now to try, sinceyou said it's off from what.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
You've gotten it at ogre's yeah, just a little, but
you could, I could taste the.
It's just that little tartnesslike in the back of your mouth
that you get at the very endafter you, right like after you
drink.
Yeah, the lingering tartnessthat I don't think is there,
unless unless I always have alike a yub nub first and then
this is my second drink and ithits the palate right.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
And that's the thing about galaxies.
When you go into ogres, right, you have to get two drinks, but
you only have 45 minutes, soyou're drinking really fast,
whereas you might be morerelaxed.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I don't know how time that is, though I feel like I'm
always there longer than 45minutes I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Probably I don't think they enforce that.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yeah, because it's just well, you sit with like if
you go by yourself.
You sit with like 15 of yourclosest friends yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
so this had a shot and a half or one and a half
ounces of the grapefruit vodka,an ounce of grape juice, an
ounce of falernum, threequarters of an ounce of lime
juice, splash of blue curacao, and then a dash of the lemon
bitters, and that was how wemade these.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Made in a mixing glass or a shaker with poured
over ice, over Christy's ice.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Thank you, Christy.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Thank you, christy.
Yeah, this is good.
The cocktail ice from themachine, yes, bought at your
local Costco.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Fancy schmancy, but I'm pleased with this one.
This one will probably stickout in my mind oh good, I think
in a year when we get back toour drink episode.
Yes, we should maybe do thoseevery half year, or something,
maybe we just do the I don'tknow.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I don't know, We'll figure it out.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
We'll figure it out.
We've got six months to thinkabout it.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
But today we're going to talk all about Galaxy's Edge
, all about it, and with adifferent twist than we usually
do yes, we usually just and ifwe're going to the park and
having the land in the land andas part of the Disneyland park-
yes, right, the whole experience.
Right, that's what we usuallydo.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
This is if you are a Star Wars fan and not a Disney
fan.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, not necessarily Disney, but you love Star Wars.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
And you want to spend the whole day in Galaxy's Edge?
Right, we've come up with aplan for you.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Right, we both have our own separate plans.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Separate, but probably pretty identical.
Pretty identical, I bet.
I don't know.
Like I said, we don't.
Like I said before, we don'ttalk about this first, we come
up with a topic and we have ourday.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
You know what's funny is now off the top of your head
before we get into this.
Okay, okay, mine required, ofcourse, spending money to do all
the things right and andwhatnot.
So, with a park, a one-day parkticket, non-park hopper, oh
yeah, and you don't need amulti-pass.
I did not add that.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Mine's at least an 800 day I did not add the park
ticket.
So yeah, mine is gonna be,mine's gonna push like 1200,
okay, at the end I haven't.
I haven't added up for how muchI spend in galaxy's edge.
I have all the prices.
I looked them all up, did you?
I couldn't look up forsouvenirs.
I found a page.
It's been a.

(04:53):
It's a couple months old.
I think it was disney food blogor one of those websites.
Okay, it has every all themerchandise at doc on doors and
how much they all cost, withpictures.
So so I went shopping.
Yeah, I scrolled through andshopped.
I didn't buy too much.
I went like so this room we'rein now, this room in my house,
this is where I think it shouldbe a Jedi lair.

(05:14):
Ooh, that's what my dream is.
It's not.
I have less votes than mysignificant other.
I have like 10 less votes whenwe have a committee meeting.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Right, so she's vetoed it every time.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
And you don't have enough children to outplay that.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
No, I've lost 10.
I think I have no votes.
Actually, I think I lose 10 to0 every time, so I vote yes, she
votes for 10 votes and I lose10 to 0.
Yeah, but yeah, my dream, like, like, like, you're building a
lightsaber, kind of yeah, I gotit that kind of room, so I

(05:52):
bought a few items for this room.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Oh okay, that's why I said that because mine were
just buying some things yeah, just stuff, yeah, which and I
don't.
Well, I don't think I wentcompletely overboard, but maybe
I went a little bit over.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Yeah, I would never buy this stuff actually, so this
isn't something I'd actually gobuy.
Yeah, this is if I went thereas a star wars fan only to spend
star wars money.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yeah, one time so if you have a huge star wars fan in
your life who's not a disneyfan, you know, a thousand bucks
if you, if you're willing togive them a thousand dollars to
go do all the Star Wars thingsand hang out in a Star Wars land
, this might be the plan for you.
This could be the plan thiswould be a great gift to them,

(06:36):
potentially.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
So how would you start your day?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Well, of course it starts at rope drop.
It always does, and I would berope dropping.
Rise of the Resistance.
Oh you are, I, it always does.
Yeah, and I would be ropedropping.
Rise of the Resistance.
Oh you are, I did not do that.
Oh you didn't.
Mm-mm.
So everybody's running backthere.
And I assumed it would be.

(06:59):
You didn't necessarily stay atthe hotel so you could rope drop
Rise and Galaxy's Edge, becausethe hotel you can only
Fantasyland or Tomorrow, tomorrow, land, but rope
dropping, rise of the resistance.
So 8, am you're going to rise?
Yes, and then once, once that'sover, I head over and do
smugglers run?

Speaker 1 (07:11):
oh, you do, both rides right away first.
The first thing of the day isto do those two rides okay, so I
don't start that way and myplan I, if I want to do a three
day, three ride, maybe if Iwanted to ride, rise three times
during the day.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Which I did.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
That's a good idea right, I didn't push that
aggressive.
I wanted the whole Star Warsexperience, not just Rise-based,
because later I might have tostand in line, stand in line,
right.
So I went to first.
When I walk into Batuu, Ipurchased one of those metal
gift cards, put $1,000 on it.

(07:46):
A gift card right, because Icould use it for anything Disney
later.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Yes, you could, I can't.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
So, after I figured out how much I'm going to spend
that day, and then you have thesouvenir of the gift card.
It's a cool souvenir metal giftcard that they have.
It's really cool.
It's free with purchase, sothat's the first thing I do.
Okay, then I head over and haveat 8.30, I have a Ronto morning
wrap and my black calf coldbrew to start my day.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Mine's very close to that.
Yeah, I thought it would be so.
After ryes and smugglers, thenI'm ready for a little bit of
breakfast.
So I go over and get a Rontowrap.
Right, I mobile order it, ofcourse, but I switched it up
with the Black Calf Cold Brew.
The Black Calf Cold Brew and Iwent to Katsakis Kettle.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Okay, right there in the shopping center.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
They have a Black Calf Slushie they do, which is
cold brew slushie, chocolatecookie, sweet cream and
cream-filled chocolate cookiecrumbles.
Yes, for $7.99.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I know I thought about that.
It's not a mobile order placeand so I didn't get it every.
I always got the Black CalfCold Brew because it was easy to
get, Easier to get Right.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Understandable, yeah, and I will actually have one of
those later in the day.
Right, because you've got tohave two as I do stay hydrated.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, so I and I need my coffee and it's one of the
top five, maybe top three, maybetop one coffees in all of
disney.
Now, have you had that one?
The black calf cold brew?
Yeah, oh, many times, oh, okay, yeah, it's my go-to.
This is my go-to breakfastwhenever I can.
Yeah, is the ronto morning wraphands down my favorite
breakfast?
Oh yeah yeah, it makes my, itmakes me smile in the morning,
it makes you, it makes your daystart off.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Well, I don't think there's any other breakfast in
the park.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
That's as good not, no, not that good no, not even a
breakfast chimichanga, sorry dj.
Oh, pretty good yeah sorry, dj,that's especially three
breakfast chimichangas.
Yes, so so.
Yeah, so so you had breakfast.
What time around that Nineo'clock or so?

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Well, I'm thinking Rise of the Resistance, so it
starts at eight.
You're looking at a half anhour.
It's 23 minutes for the ride, right, and I'm thinking by then
you're going to be in line foranother 30 minutes.
You're probably going to bekilling an hour and a half just
doing those two rides.
Yeah, see, that's's and that'sfine because it's it will take
an hour just to do rise, to bein line and to do the ride right

(10:10):
and then run over and dosmugglers run.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
So I'm looking at breakfast at about 9 30,
probably 9 30 to 10 okay, yeah,so at my 9 am is when I'm going
to ride smugglers run.
Okay, hop on smuggler's Run at9am.
I'm only doing it once.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Okay, all day long.
I think I squeezed two rides inthere.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
You know I might if I was more aggressive with the
rides there.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
but Because it has a single rider is why I did it a
second time.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, and then at 10, I just shop for an hour.
Okay, one hour of shopping, andI'll go over what I bought at
the end.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Okay, so at 10 o'clock, from 10 to 11, I'm
doing Savi's Workshop.
I'm building a lightsaber.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Oh, we might see each other, because I'm building a
lightsaber at 11.
At 11.
Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
That's my whole thing is I'm going to go in there
going to build the lightsaber$219.
$219.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, $219.99.
And $219.99.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
And the reason I went with that at 10 o'clock to 11
o'clock, because at 11.15, KyloRen and the Stormtroopers come
out for their first appearanceand I'm wanting to see all the
characters Right.
So I actually scheduled all thecharacters into my day.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah, see, I didn't look at their times at all.
I did.
I put in times to findcharacters an hour and a half in
there just to walk around andlook for characters during the
day, but I forgot to look atexact their schedules.
That are on there.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Now you can't find anything for Chewbacca Right and
for Chewbacca he's just one andRey probably.
Rey Chewbacca?
And who's the resistance galwith the purple hair?

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Oh yeah, I knew her name forever, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Anyway, they just wander around at different times
.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Darn it you got me.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
So anyway, I figured I'd catch them at some point.
But if they did have times tomeet the characters or that they
would be out, I wanted to makesure I saw the characters Right,
so that would be Kylo Ren andthe Stormtroopers at 11.15.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
So at 11, I'm building my lightsaber.
Okay, For $2.99.
And I didn't talk about are youshopping at all in the market
during your day?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
That actually.
So we swap places.
Okay, so we should talk aboutthe market, because it's a
really cool area.
Yes, it is.
It has that open air marketfeel to it, which is really cool
, and there's lots of just stuffto look at Right and a whole
bunch of stuff like right in arow yeah, it's all different
little kiosk kind of things, butthey're all like indented in,

(12:34):
yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
So you walk in, one's like a stuffed animal area,
yeah.
And then you get the littleshoulder right and they have,
yeah, all sorts of differentones games and stuff, ones like
posters or pens yeah, oh, that Iwear, I didn't add a pen.
I didn't add a pen either.
Oh, I would need the pens.
Yeah, if I'm, I don't need thepens, I would need the pins so

(12:57):
okay, that was fun.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
I just had black spire outfitters, which is all
those little shops, right, docon doors?

Speaker 1 (13:02):
okay, on dars yeah, so that's what I'm doing from 11
to 1230.
No, yeah, 11 to 10 to 11.
10 to 11.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And I'm after I go see.
So I have all that inSmuggler's Run.
So after I see Kylo Ren and theStormtroopers, which I'm
thinking will take at least ahalf an hour, it might take me
up till noon.
I'm thinking from noon to two.
That's when I'm going to go toSmuggler's Run, the single rider
line again, and hit Black SpireOutfitters and Doc Ondars for

(13:31):
some shopping With the goal tobuy more Kyber crystals, and so
I didn't actually look what wasin there because you can't
necessarily from the app andthat's all I did.
But it's stuffed porg.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Those were my two.
These are things I want to buy.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Right, that'd be a good friend for Chuby here yeah,
you would be who sits next tous every day.
So at 1230 is my lunchtime.
Okay, I'm going to Docking Bay,7.
Okay, where I'm sticking withmy usuals.
Again, the Andorian friedtip-yip.
Okay, love that.
They say it tastes like chicken.
Yes, that's what I've heard.
It's $15.49.

(14:10):
And then, of course, a blackcalf cold brew for $7.29.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
That's what I have for lunch For another one, right
.
So I thought for me, the RontoWrap is pretty filling, uh-huh,
and I pushed mine back a couplehours after you because you ate
right off the bat, right off thebat.
So Because you ate right offthe bat, right off the bat, so
because I went a couple hours,now it's 2 o'clock for me and
that's when I go.
I have a 2 o'clock reservationfor Oga's and that's where I go

(14:37):
and do my lunch.
So looked at the drink list ofwhat I wanted to get.
Okay, what did you get?
I got a Yub Nub.
You can't go wrong, can't gowrong with a Yub nub.
Okay, just you know, can't gowrong, can't go wrong with a yub
nub.
I did get the surabot valleyharvest board, which is
sourdough bread, ahi verde, infused pork spread and spicy

(15:00):
salsa criolla.
Okay, so a little bit of foodto have with my drink.
Okay, and that was lunch, because I figured I didn't need.
My dinner is going to be big, Ididn't need to go out all out
on the lunch.
Just something to counteractthe two drinks.
Because I also, while I waslooking through the, the app, I
saw that they had somethingcalled the broadberry meadow,

(15:22):
which is one of their new drinks, which has honey, gin, lemon
juice, pear syrup and it'sgarnished with edible flowers.
That to me sounded really good.
1950, the food was 18 and theyub nub is 1850.
So all total tax and tip, I'mprobably looking at about 75.
Lunch perfect.
I actually spend a.
I spend almost 200 bucks onfood.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I think yeah, yeah I have my food token.
Yeah, yeah, okay, oh, perfect, perfect's wait till you get to
my.
We'll get to my Ogas time later, so what?

Speaker 2 (15:52):
are.
So after lunch, what are youdoing?

Speaker 1 (15:57):
So after I have lunch at 2 pm is when I cruise around
and interact with thecharacters until 3.30.
Okay, so I just walk around, see if I can see the droids
riding around, see if I can talkto ray for a second.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Say hi to chewy, see if I get any photo ops with any
of them yeah, while they'rewalking around, right, get a
walking away and send thepicture to leah right, like we
do, yeah yeah, he's checking outhis behind.
She loves that guy.
She does.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Sorry brad, sorry brad yeah, there's a true love,
true love in her life.
Never go away.
The big furries yep, that's aum hallmark movie probably.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Yeah, leah and chewy, leah and chewy the hallmark
movie, come up with it.
Oh, there we go, leah and chewy.
A christmas special that'll be.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
That'll be an episode upcoming, for maybe around next
christmas that could be so thenat 3 30 is when I ride um rise,
single, single, okay.
So I try to get my single passaround there.
That's $25.
Yes, for the single pass, and Ido it around $3.30.
So that's the second ride, you've gone on.
Second ride.
Okay, this is Star Wars based.

(16:59):
It's not really ride based.
My idea of today.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Well, to me the ride really enhances the Star Wars
feel it does enhances the starwars it does, and I think a
three day, three ride thingmight have been cooler yeah but
I hung out.
So when I went by myself just afew weeks ago, uh huh I I will
spend a lot of time in ingalaxy's edge and I didn't ride
either the ride the whole time.
Oh, I rode neither ride.
I even try to go there and riderise, for some reason.

(17:25):
Didn't cross my mind I was doingother stuff yeah, I've rode
rise so many times now I have toin such a short period of time
I've been on it a lot it hasn'tbeen open very long for how much
we've written.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
We've wrote it no, because it opened.
Well, for us on the on the westcoast it opened and then the
whole parks closed, like twomonths later, uh-huh.
So well, no, it was open for awhile okay all that I did those
times it opened in june.
No, it did star wars land openin june.
I'm just thinking of thatfamily trip I couldn't make

(17:56):
because I was sick and but riseof the resistance didn't open
till the following january andthen by mid-march the parks
closed because of the pandemicright.
So it was only two months andin those two months I wrote it
like four or five times yeah,I've wrote it so many times.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
I mean I would use that 10 o'clock rule like like
clockwork, yeah, and I got two, two, sometimes three times a day
.
Yeah, never, never, ropedropped it neither have I no and
I always, always just got I'dhang out in galaxies at just
enough time, or if it broke down, I would hop right on.
Yeah.
Stuff like that, so I didn'teven worry about it this time.

(18:33):
I walked by it like 10 timesyeah.
The lines were so long.
When I was there, though, foreverything, it was very, very
busy.
It was, and it wasn't worth $25to me to ride it.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
No, no, no.
It's one of those.
Very few of the rides now areworth the money, right, except
for I think, the only one thatreally to me is worth the money
is Cosmic Rewind.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
That's worth the money.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Guardians of the Galaxy yeah, that's a must, but
that one's only like 15 bucks.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
That's a must one to me, yeah, yeah.
And I think Rise is better ifyou have someone with you in
your group, especially thatfirst part when they capture you
.
Yeah, it's more fun.
It's more fun to goof I'm.
I'm kind of goofy on the ride.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I talked to the, I talked to the animatronics and
you want the first order to belike staring you down yeah,
right, and I had.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
I had all the seniors last year talking back to the
people when we wrote it all.
We all went at the same time.
Yeah, at the end of the nightand and I forgot what Eli said
he said something hilarious Like.
Something like when Kylo Rencame out like didn't we go to
high school together?
Something like that he yelledreally loud hey, didn't we go to
high school together?
Something like that.

(19:41):
It was hilarious.
So I think that's more fun in agroup, with a group.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yeah, with a group.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
yeah, it's a great ride visually and everything by
itself, but I've ridden it somany times.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
So that's why I do it at 3.30.
Are you at your 3.30 yet?

Speaker 2 (19:55):
No, okay, let's catch up From like 2 to 3, I'm into
Ogas After that Luke Skywalker, which doesn't look like Luke at
all, but I thought if I'm a StarWars fan, I still want to meet
him.
He's at three, the Mandalorianis at 320.
And Boba Fett is at four.
Those are both worth it.
So I'm just going to hang outand see all three of those

(20:16):
characters all in a row.
So that's what I'm just goingto kill an hour doing that.
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
I'm missing all of them that stinks, Because at
four o'clock I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
I don't think that was the only time they came out.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Okay, yeah.
So I don't even know what timesthey're there, because I didn't
look at all.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
I didn't even cross my mind.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Yeah, I just thought I would walk around and try to
find them.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Actually that was my first plan, and then I thought
well, let me look at charactersand see who actually has set
times, so then I can work aroundit.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yeah, so 4 pm I'm building a droid, okay, which is
119.99 for the droid, okay, andthen I'm gonna buy the backpack
for 59.99.
There's a backpack for thedroid droid backpack.
You can put the droid in thebackpack and carry it around and
go in the backpack oh, so hishead sticks out, I think there's
a little flap, I don't know Ihave.
That's one thing I have neverdone is build the droid right

(21:07):
because they're big and I gottatake it home yeah, it's, it's
been.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Oh good point yeah, that's why I keep thinking about
it that's where you take, likethe medium-sized suitcase,
because if you're checking yourluggage, I could check it.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
I could check a bag and go for my couple days
sometime, and I have plenty ofroom.
But I just haven't thoughtahead of that.
So now I'm at.
Now I'm at 5 pm okay.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
So after I go I go meet Luke Skywalker and
Mandalorian and Boba Fett.
I'm going to slowly meander myway over, do a little more
shopping and stuff ResistanceSupply kiosk Look at what they
have.
Because I'm headed back over, because now I'm doing my single
pass for Rise of the Resistance.
Okay, I scheduled that for 4.30.

(21:48):
So I've had plenty of time tosee all the characters and now
I'm headed over there at 4.30 togo for my second trip on Rise
of the Resistance.
So that's what I'm doing andyou know I'm assuming that's
going to be another 45 minutesor so that that'll take.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Yeah yeah, we are assuming a lot here.
We are assuming that peopleknow what building a lightsaber
even means, savi's Workshop andDroid Depot Should we talk about
that at all?
Oh, and what Droid Depot is?
Sure, because we didn't mentionthat at all.
We just said, oh, I'm going tobuild a lightsaber, I'm going to
go build a droid, Like everyonelistening just knows right.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
So I've walked into the Droidot because they let
anybody walk in there.
Now savvies you have toactually pay to go and be in
there.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
You do because it's an experience unto itself.
So which and I haven't donethat you oh yeah, if you're a
star wars fan, it is a must doat the park I really want to do
it for the experience, but Idon't really want a lightsaber
well, maybe I'll build one nexttime, because I've never built
one.
I watched eli build build oneOkay.
And then I went and boughtbecause I really want an
Anakin's lightsaber from DocOndors, yeah, okay.

(22:56):
And so I went up there andbought it after that, so I
watched him build one.
There's no reason to take twohome.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
And they let you pick parts.
Uh-huh, pick what color yourkyber crystal is Right, and pick
what color your kyber crystalis right, and so the kyber
crystal is what color your, whatcolor it's going to be right
right and I won't spoil theexperience of what you, what
happens down there, okay, butyou basically, you basically
build all the different parts ofit.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
There's different styles of lightsaber, like
elemental, and you havedifferent styles that fit
together, like like wood lookingpieces or steel.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
And you get to pick the different hilt and the
different parts to screwtogether.
Yeah, and you build it rightthere and they give you a bin
with all the parts to your style.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, I don't know if theystill do it, but back then you
got a little pin with your styleand you put the pin on, and
that's how they knew which kindyou had.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Okay, do you get to keep the pin?
Keep the pin, oh, excellent.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Yep, that's probably Eli's favorite part of the
experience is getting a pin andso you build your lightsaber and
then it's a great littleceremony.
It's amazing, it's very StarWars.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Very cool, see, and that's the thing.
Like I said, I want toexperience that, but I don't
really necessarily want alightsaber, because I know it's
just going to sit in the closetand gather dust.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Yeah, we were just talking yesterday.
I need to buy something whereI'm going to hang the
lightsabers in this room that wehave.
Oh, that would be a good one,and I need to.
Eli has like five or six kybercrystals for his, I think, I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
He, he's got a few.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Yeah, I know DJ had one which was great because for
Christmas and his birthday itwas just me buying Kyber
crystals for him.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yeah, that's awesome.
Oh here, here's a green one,here's a.
Now, the black one is the onethat's hard to get right, I
think so.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Yeah, because it's a red.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
It's in a red box, right, but the surprise in every
tan or so, yeah, it's a blackcrystal right.
So then real quick at droiddepot, you just pick your parts
of your droid, you pick whatkind of droid you want to build
they're going by the conveyor, all the parts, you just put it
together yeah whatever color youcould build a red, white and
blue, r2d2 a black and yellowbb8 yeah, and, and you can walk

(25:09):
through the Droid Depot becauseit's not a big ceremony type of
deal and you can watch otherpeople building their droids and
stuff and they have people whowill grab the parts and attach
them for you and yeah, right,it's still kind of cool and
that's why I had it.
That was my next thing after Iget out of Rise and I've done a

(25:29):
little more shopping and stuff,I head over and do the Droid
Depot.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
So what time is that about?

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Well, like I'm saying about 530.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
530, okay, yeah, so 5 is when I go to Oga's.
Okay, that's kind of my dinner.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Right, but I don't eat a lot in the tip-yip, and
what I'm going to eat, to yoursurprise, is the Surbot Harvest
Bread.
Oh, okay, with a Yub Nub.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
There's not a whole lot of food options available
there, so it's not like out of90 things we picked the same
thing.
It was like out of three.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
I know we still did, though.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
And the other two or three don't have meat.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
But I'm going to do something I've always wanted to
do and I'm splurging and gettingthe rancor beer flight.
Oh, board, you can take homewith the rancor teeth oh, I've
always wanted that, but it's sobig again to fit my suitcase.
Yeah, it's 75 and it comes withthe four beers, I think.
Come in the thing and you drinkthe beers and you take the
whole thing home oh, at the end.

(26:36):
Yeah, that sounds fun.
Just to pour four beers somenight, okay, and home and drink
them out of some teeth and itsounds like a good evening oh
yeah, okay, I think I've seensomebody who's ordered that I've
wanted.
Every time I go in I look at itand think oh, christy will find
out how much this costs andshe'll yell at me when I get
home yeah, I really then I'd saythank you, christy the.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
The food I was getting was spicy.
I really wanted another angry, bloody rancor, uh-huh, but I was
like that's spice on otherspice and I wanted something
drinks that were a little morecooling right to go with that.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
So that's why I didn't order one of those,
because I really want anotherone of those so then I'm gonna
walk around batu at dusk andjust check out the night time
it's different and I'm gonnawalk, re-walk through everywhere
, yeah, in the evening, back toback over by rise, just to see
it not ride it yet just to seeit over by the jedi little kiosk

(27:28):
thing, back over by kylo Ren'sship and just walk around the
market and just check it out atdusk.
Yeah, that's around 7.
I'm not sure like Droid Depot.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
I'm assuming that's probably I'd be done by 6, maybe
6.30.
And I just have up until 8o'clock whenever that for a
couple hours.
I like people watching.
I might do smugglers runanother time I might for single,
single writer, okay, and justlook at all the other shops and
just walk around, take it all in.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Yeah, that's part of it too, is just take it all in
and this, this drink's playingsome kind of jedi mind trick on
me because I keep hitting mymicrophone with it.
Well, I keep spilling it.
So yeah, you do.
I've spilled this like seven.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Yeah, playing some kind of Jedi mind trick on me
because I keep hitting mymicrophone with it.
Well, I keep smelling it.
Yeah, you do.
I've smelled this like seventimes.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, playing some mind tricks on it.
So we're at 8 o'clock now I'mgoing to go.
I know you probably don't likethese, I don't love them, but I
have to have one because I'mthere.
I'm going to go grab a bluemilk.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
I was wondering if one of us would do blue milk,
yeah, or a mixture, or they sayit's green milk.
To me it's like yellow milkyeah.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
So well, when I'm with someone, I usually get both
one of each and then get a cupand then mix them.
They taste a lot.
I like that taste a littlebetter.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Oh, it tastes better.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
But I'm just getting blue milk right now, Just
original the OG milk.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Out of the moisture farming of Luke Skywalker.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Which is an actual milk.
It's rice milk and some otherstuff, and there's some coconut
involved, I think.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Yeah, it's, but it's like a slushy type of thing.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
So that's at 8 o'clock and I'm still just, I'm
just hanging out.
Okay, no big deal right now.
You know, this is where I would, you know, know if I rode, if I
rode rise earlier, if I ropedropped it.
This is where I might do mysingle pass, but oh, eight
o'clock, around eight o'clock.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
yeah, wait a minute.
So did you do single passearlier?
Yeah, I did.
Okay, I did it at 3 30, okay,so I still rode two rides and
I've ridden now four or five.
Yeah, right, so my eighto'clock.
As i'm'm looking around, I'mlike, well, and this is why.
So I started creating this listand then I started adding,

(29:37):
shifting some things around, andit's why I went later with the
food, because at 8 o'clock, docking Bay 7, food and cargo
nighttime gathering Right 89bucks.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Yes, it is.
That's why I didn't do it.
I didn't Didn't sound right tome.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Probably not, but cheeseburger croquettes,
assorted cheeses and fruits, wonton, citrus, ginger, chicken
salad, taco pastries, chocolate.
You can get sodas.
They say specialty-themednon-alcoholic beverages, which
is your mouffe juice, which Ialways get a mouffe juice
whenever I go.
That is your moof juice, whichI always get a moof juice

(30:13):
whenever I go.
That's some good stuff.
Fatro, which is basicallyArnold Palmer with Desert.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Pear Okay.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
And then the cold brew Black Calf.
Okay, those are their specialtynon-alcoholic drinks.
So that's when I'm having mycold brew Black Calf, and maybe
a moof juice as well.
But I thought I'm going to dothat because then there's a
private viewing of the Shadowsof Memory of Skywalker saga at
8.45.
And it's a projection show upon the side of the hills above

(30:38):
the Millennium Falcon and I'mjust going to sit and watch that
until that ends.
And then the fireworks startgoing off at 9.35.
Right, I'm probably not stayingfor all of the fireworks,
because at about 9.45, I'mmaking my way over all of the
fireworks, because at about 945,I'm making my way over, because
I want to end the day writingrise of the resistance one last
time.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Perfect, perfect.
So I skipped the wholeprojection show.
Okay, I might watch, try towatch it anyway, right, but just
not private viewing, right, andpay all the money, yeah, but
then I'm going gonna watch thefireworks, the fire of the
rising moons, I'm gonna watchthat, and then once it's over
because it'll be before 10 thatit's over, because I just have
to get in the line yes, before10 pm yeah, I just have to step

(31:20):
in that line, like we did theone time where they put the rope
behind us as we walked behindus right and I just got to get
in there.
the closer to 10, the better forme that I can walk onto it,
because you end up waiting solittle.
Such little time, do you wait?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Pretty much at 10 o'clock.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
The closer to 10 you get, the less time you actually
wait, because it's just betterthat way.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
The last time when we rode it at 10, we had to go
from cars, I think we rode carsand we booked it all the way
over from cars radiator springs, racers, all the way over there,
but we couldn't walk directlyover there.
We had to walk all the wayaround through like fantasy land
or tomorrowland tomorrowland, and through the like the back

(32:06):
entrance to get over there, because everything was closed
off.
Yep, for the fireworks for thefireworks or nighttime parade.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Yeah, I think it was the fireworks.
Yeah, because they were goingoff and the people were taking
pictures right in front of me.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
And we're plowing through people.
Yeah, I kind of ran into a lady.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
She stopped right in where she wasn't supposed to.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
And we made it, and we were the last ones on.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Right, but the weird part is ending our night in batu
.
Yes, right, because I have myrituals.
You do that, I do.
One of one of my main ritualsis saying goodbye to the castle.
Yeah, and that's just only thelast night I leave, so I don't
do it every night.
It's the last night I'm there, yeah, but do I say goodbye to
the millennium falcon?
Maybe, maybe.
And then do I like, walk withmy head down all the way through
main street, so I don't seeanything.
What do you do?
You're at Disney.

(32:51):
How do you not stop?
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
If this is for somebody who's not a big Disney
fan, but huge he won't care.
He won't care.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
He will.
He'll change his mind.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Yeah, this is true.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
He'll change your mind.
I told someone that I work withlast night that he said he
doesn't like roller coasters.
Right, I said go to disneylandwith me, sit next to me, just
ride one.
Pick two roller coasters andride them with me.
I guarantee I'll switch yourmind yeah, disney will change
your mind because, disney rollercoasters hit different they do,

(33:22):
they'll be fun, they'll have ablast.
And yeah, yeah, yeah, one kidwas one kid senior last year.
We went with swore.
He didn't like roller coasters.
He begrudgingly got on a creditcoaster with us because we went
there, we rope dropped it andwalked right on.
It was a walk on, it was a.
He goes.
If it's less than a five minutewait, I'll ride it okay it was
like a three minute wait when itwent there was no one in line

(33:44):
and so we walked right on.
He went and he went on it againright afterwards.
He's never rode a rollercoaster his life, so he didn't
know right.
Oh okay, yeah, so that's ourday at galaxy's edge.
Yeah, a full day.
And oh, let me break down howmuch I spent.
You have all the things.
Yeah, let me break down howmuch I spent.
So so, of course, we alreadytalked about food and
experiences, so my food costtotal was 155, 56 as well as

(34:08):
food.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Yeah, I spent.
I spent a little, probably alittle over $200.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Yeah, probably you had that experience.
You did.
Yeah, right, the experiencesthe lightsaber and the droid
building with the backpack was$399.99 altogether.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Oh, and with the backpack.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
With the backpack, droid and lightsaber $400.
Yep, okay, so the Rise was $25for the multi-pass, yeah Right.
And so with the Rise was $25for the multi-pass, yeah Right.
And my shopping?
Here's what I bought at DocOndors I bought a Yoda mini bust
for $110.
Okay, I bought a Temple Guardmask that would look awesome in
here $130.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
I didn't go crazy.
I had a bunch of stuff.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
I love for like $350.
Right.
I didn't buy any morelightsabers, right.
I bought a Holocron bunch ofstuff for I love for like 350,
right, I didn't buy any morelightsabers, right, I bought a
holocron for 50, which I don'thave one.
So then I bought four kybercrystals okay for 12.99 each,
and a jedi mug.
There's a really cool coffeemug that I can have in this room
.
There you go, okay.
So simple, pretty simple, really, yeah, and that's a total

(35:05):
of 369.94 on merch was a totalof $950.47.
I spent that day that's withoutpark ticket, so I didn't know
about the backpack.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
I probably would have thrown on the backpack.
So mine is at about $625 forfood and experiences, droid and
lightsaber Right, and then $25extra bucks for Rise Rise Right,
and then 25 extra bucks forrise.
Yeah, I'm looking at 625.
Now then I've got kybercrystals.

(35:38):
I'll probably get a couple ofthose and a stuffed porg.
I might get a t-shirt or somearticle of clothing.
Yeah, I've never really likedthe hats there.
I have one.
Someone gave me one of the hatsNot a big fan of the hats from
Galaxy's Edge, because thebaseball cap is what I usually
wear in the park.

(35:58):
I'm probably going to findsomething else that looks cool.
Probably want to pick up a pin.
That's another 15 bucks.
I don't know about a pin, soI'm thinking it might be about
$700 that I spent.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Yeah, maybe a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
So that's without park ticket.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
That's without the park ticket, so 900 bucks.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah, so I'm talking, you know, 12, 1100.
Yeah, something like that.
Yeah, yeah, for the perfect day.
I mean that's, that's splurgingevery, every which way yeah,
that's doing a lot of star warsstuff.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
You have to be a big fan for, for doing all of that
stuff.
But that is the immersiveexperience of galaxy's edge,
right, I would say you did allthe things.
You saw everything.
You got to enjoy it.
You spent all day in galaxy'sedge.
You didn't have to leave at all, which kind of makes me almost
want to do that now.
So it's kind of fun.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
But I couldn't drop a thousand bucks and then I
couldn't do it.
I got to drop a thousand bucksand then I couldn't do it.
I would want to.
I'm in Disneyland, It'd be sohard.
Yeah, not to walk out.
Oh, I'm going to go over it.
Oh, Mr Toads has a 20 minutewait.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Now, if you live down there and you were going three
times a month, yeah, you couldgive up a day for content.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Wouldn't that be fun to live down there and be able
to do that, to go there so often, like you could go every day,
where you can just do differentthings every day, like that?
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Well, I did look.
If I had moved to Orange Countybecause I was living in LA
County up near East Hollywood,it was my neighborhood If I had
lived down in Orange orangecounty, I probably would have
gone two, three times a week, yeah, just uh, pop in even for a
couple hours in the evening, right, yeah, I had that much fun

(37:40):
there.
So anyway, yep, I have a littlesip of my jedi mind trick.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
It's playing mind tricks on me very good, good
drinks, good convo and we'll seeyou next time.
And we'll see you next time, cheers.
