Christians. Sisters. Best Friends.
Everything happens in God's timing. He will lead us to something and often we have to wait for our next steps. BUT in the meantime, don't wait around. Go do the work. Be sharpened. Ask God to search your heart, to refine you. So, in a way, while you wait for God's timing on what he is calling you to, don't wait and do nothing. Witness about Jesus. Learn the things you need to learn. Do the work that is needing done. God is making a way for what he is calling you to. We cannot understand his ways, so we need to just trust in the fact that he is our Way Maker.
Acts 1:6-11 ESV
“So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.””
Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
James 4:14-15 ESV
“yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.””
James 5:7-8 ESV
“Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
