Circle of Parks podcast, episode
number 192.

we must talk Disney merch.
(00:45):
So this week, disney merch ifyou go to DisneyStorecom, they
have a new Mickey Mouse andFriends golf polo shirt for
adults.
It is priced at $54.99.
And it is what it said it is.
It's all over print with mickeyand his friends, donald goofy
(01:06):
and pluto playing golf.
It is a cotton blend, includesellistain to allow a little
stretch as you play around, um,or just a round of golf.
So I thought it was super cute.
If you are big into golf, biginto disney, this could be the
shirt for you.
So that is this week's disneymerch thank you everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Episode number 100

Unfortunately this is not atrip report as we had to cancel
our trip last weekend to waltdisney world, but it's okay.
We have a special guest with ustoday, nolan, say hi.
Hello, you got to speak up alittle bit like lean in a little
(01:50):
bit Okay, and he's going to bejoining us for this.
Ranking the Roller Coastersepisode.
Now there's nine coasters, soyou, nolan, I've been on seven.
You've been on seven Brittany.
You've only been on One, two, nolan.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
You've been on seven
Brittany you've only been on One
, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Seven as well.
Ryan does not want to be on thepodcast, but I have his list,
yes, and me and Ryan have doneall of them Correct.
So if you're new here, thankyou for joining us.
I'm Zach, I'm Brittany, andoccasionally we have With us
Nolan's, our youngest, and we dothis show every single week.
Our goal here is to break yourweek up, take you to Walt Disney
(02:31):
World and just help you have abetter Walt Disney World
vacation and help you throughthe trials and tribulations of a
Walt Disney trip, even if thatmeans having to cancel one last
minute.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Right.
So please, if you are wonderinghow to deal with all of that,
listen to our last episode.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yes, it's, the
emotions of it, and then how to
deal with the actual cancelingeverything.
Erica, we love you.
You're great.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
She really is great.
Thank you again.
Travel Planner Erica.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
All right, so we're
going to get right into it.
She really is good.
Thank you again, travel PlannerEric.
All right, so we're going toget right into it.
So since me and Ryan both havenine and you and Nolan both have
seven, let me go through nine, through seven and y'all can jump
in when we get to seven.
So we're all in order there.
Does that make sense?
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Even though they
could be different.
Coasters yes, Okay.
So I think me and Ryan bothagree our least favorite coaster
is Barnstormer.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Agree.
Well, that's ours too, that'syours too.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
There's no padding
and it's just painful.
When you like I don't know, like bobble, I guess you could
say yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, like it's.
I mean it's a fun coaster.
I get that it's kind of anintro coaster for little ones,
but it definitely bumps youaround.
If you have back problems, youmight not want to ride this ride
and it's over super quick aswell.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, so Barnstormer
is in the.
What's the name of the?
It's in Fantasyland.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Right the like where
Dumbo and.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Pete's.
Yeah, I forgot the name of thatland, the Cir Fantasyland,
right Like where Dumbo andPete's.
I forgot the name of that land, the Circus Land.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
The.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Storybook Circus.
Storybook Circus yes, We'deventually get there.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I was like, yes,
storybook Circus and it is, you
know, a little further back offto the side.
But yeah, I just I don't knowthe reason why we are speaking
up, because I just happens to beon the last for me.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
So we all agree.
Uh, barnstormers number last onour list, and it it is your
beginner coaster for kids thatare stepping up to ride a
coaster for the first time.
That's why it's short.
It's not very long.
It's themed really really wellthough.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
It is, and the height
requirement is only 30 inches.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, so this is your
first coaster you're going to
ride as a kid.
Introduction to coasters.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
So I mean, it is a
cute, fun coaster, but it does.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
It hurts my back, I'm
not going to lie, and when we
talked about how we're going torank the coasters not just the
coaster, the full experience, queue theming, imagineering
storyline, all that went intothis.
So let's keep that in mind whenwe're moving along.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah Well, and
Barnstormer doesn't have a lot
of that.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
There's not a lot of
theming.
I mean it's themed well, butnot a lot of backstory or
imagineering into it.
So again, just very beginnercoaster.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
All right.
Number eight on both mine andRyan's list we do agree is and I
hate to say this, but becausewhen you look at the full
overall experience in theming,we both agree number eight is
Seven Dwarfs Mind Train.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Disagree?
Well, we're not.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
We're not disagreeing
or agreeing with each other.
I know you and Ryan like tocompete with each other, but
this is on our list because it'snot a bad coaster.
It's a very smooth coaster andit's a twofer.
This is a roller coaster anddark ride put together.
(06:11):
So Seven Dwarfs, Mine Train andthe queue.
The queue's really well donetoo.
You got the interactive element.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Did you really think
that through?
I did think this through, okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
So the queue's
interactive.
This through, okay, just okay.
So the cues interact.
If it's got a good cue, greatreimagining of new fantasy land
where it used to be 20 000leagues under the sea and it
it's a good coaster, good smoothcoaster.
It's a step up from, uh,barnstormer.
What's the height requirementon this one?
Speaker 1 (06:43):
it's like 36, I think
I can find out if you keep
talking.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
So that's the second
least favorite coaster, and the
wait time is always so long forthis, for good reason though it
is now.
The height requirement is 38inches so a little bit taller
than barnstormer, but stillpretty low.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, and you know it
can load up to 20 riders per
train.
Yeah, you know, so it is goingto be a little bit bigger than
Barnstormer, as well as, like, how many are riding?
It at a time.
But yeah, I'll talk more aboutit here in a little bit.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
All right, so that's
mine and Ryan's number eight.
So we're going to get to numberseven.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
So now, now we eight
so we're gonna get to number
seven.
So now.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Now we can jump, now
y'all can jump in um nolan, what
is your least favorite coast?
You've already said barnstormer, right?
Speaker 4 (07:28):
my least favorite is
barnstormer barnstormer britney.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
We've already talked
about barnstormer, so we'll go
number seven.
Me and ryan both agree.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Again we agree for
the next couple and they didn't
like, share like zach was thelast one to fill his out and
didn't really look at anybody sonumber seven for y'all is
barnstormer correct number sevenfor me and ryan slinky dog dash
what that?
Is what?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
this was a difficult
list.
Yeah, so I'm not going to speakon behalf of ryan, but for me.
I look at overall.
Again, we're looking at overallattraction right.
The queue is a standardswitchback queue with just the
instructions of the attractionright.
Yeah, so it is a decent queue.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
It's a good queue.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
It's a decent queue.
Oh, you always complain everytime we're waiting in that queue
Well times, for this can getpretty long, because britney,
what's the right height for this?
This is another coaster thatdoesn't have that high of a of a
height restriction.
Again, this is going to be likeseven dwarfsfs Mine Train.
(08:43):
It's a smoother coaster, alittle more thrilling, I would
say, than Seven Dwarfs MineTrain, but again, it's still not
super thrilling.
The overall attraction, I think, is good, but when you look at
the rest of what we have to go,it's not there.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Okay, right, so the
height requirement is 38 inches.
So same as seven-door it is,and you have, like, I guess you
could say, a few more drops, ina sense, with this one.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It is more thrilling.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
yes, yeah, you know,
because a part of it is like a
slinky, so it's like up down, updown, up down.
So you do have that.
Uh, that again I'll.
I'll wait till it's my turn totalk, but, uh, but it is a 38
inch so that is why it is numberseven on my list.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
It's not just it's a
good attraction, it's great at
night, but the overallattraction with thrill and story
and imagineering, those aresome some good little Easter
eggs in here.
I'm not going to deny that itis a fun coaster.
The only one on here that Isaid I don't want to ride again
would probably be Barnstormer.
I'll ride the rest of theseagain, okay, and the wait time
(09:57):
for Slinky Dog can get prettylong.
It can.
But it is again a coaster builtfor younger kids.
What did you say?
What?
Maybe six years old?
Speaker 4 (10:07):
Nolan, you went on it
when you were four.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Four, you were four
when you went on this Four
higher, yeah, so it's a goodfamily coaster that everybody
can enjoy, yeah, of all ages, right.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, I mean it is
fun.
You know we prefer it at night.
But you know we prefer it atnight, but you know, during the
day is fun too, and yeah, I meanit's, it's, I think, the
theming of it and everything isgreat yeah all right.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
So what is y'all's?
We're gonna move to number six.
Now what is y'all's?
Number six, mine.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Y'all will probably
disagree with me that's's okay.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
It's not an agreement
or disagreement.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Guardians of the
Galaxy Cosmic Remastered.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
That's okay All right
.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
I didn't like it
because, well, I guess I get
motion sickness easily a littlebit.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
And yeah, Like I like
the theming, you like the
theming of it.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, okay, all right
, brittany, what is your number
six?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Well, I was looking
at the height requirement for
that one, because for Guardiansof the Galaxy, cosmic Rewind,
you do need to be at least 42inches tall 42 inches, okay.
Yes, so you don't want to shareany more on Guardians.
I don't know what else to say.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
You're a one and done
.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yeah, yeah, maybe,
yeah, yeah, maybe try it again
in a few years.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
No, okay, all right,
okay, um, my number six, that's
okay.
Hey, we're not here to argue isspace mountain how about this
was disneyland?
Speaker 4 (11:38):
hold on, no, no, no,
but we're just, we're just doing
what I know but if it was thedisneyland one, what would you
rate it?
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Oh, because I do like
the Space Mountain in
Disneyland better.
I'm not sure what I would rateit, but I do like that one
better.
But Space Mountain, disneyWorld, I mean, you know I've
written it a few times but Ijust it's.
I don't know, like, I know alot of people that are more old
school and everything are goingto say oh, the theming's
(12:04):
wonderful.
Of people that are more oldschool and everything are going
to say oh, the theming'swonderful.
You know, and it is to anextent, but a part of me, and I
think Zach's going to get reallyupset with me.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
I'm not going to get.
Everybody has their ownopinions.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
I feel like it needs
to be updated slightly.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
How dare you?
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Why I just I just do,
I don't know.
You know you're blasting off,you know in a rocket and going
in outer space.
I just feel like they could addjust a little bit more to the
outer space part.
I know it's supposed to be avery dark ride, I get that, but
I feel like they could add alittle bit more to the space
aspect of it.
You do need to be 44 inches ortaller for this ride and they
(12:44):
definitely will check.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yes, all right.
So, moving on from the stabbingin the back, there my number
six, and this is going tosurprise you all.
Well, look at Orion's numbersix.
Okay.
His number six.
Well, we already said mine,right.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
I don't know.
Keep track, sorry.
Okay, I don't see your list soI can't my number six is gonna
be rock and roller coaster soyeah, you haven't said that yet
I thought you liked rock and Idon't not like any of these
coasters, except for barnstormerlike funny faces on it on rock
and roll, yeah it's fun.
Pictures on the pictures.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Yeah, it's fun yeah,
none of these are bad coasters.
Even barnstormer's not bad.
I just don't want to ridebarnstormer because it hurts my
back.
Rock and roller coaster becauseyou know it's a great coaster,
it's thrilling, it goes upsidedown, it's fun, but it's time
for the re-theme.
You know, when you look at thewhole attraction like, I grew up
(13:46):
an Aerosmith guy, you grew uplistening to Aerosmith Brittany.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Yes, but I haven't
ridden this ride so I can't
really comment a lot.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Brittany or Nolan?
Do you know who Aerosmith is?
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Arrowheads.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
No, not the candy.
Aerosmith, no, no.
Do you even know what Aerosmithis?
No, no, it's a rock band.
So it's like that music that youhear during this ride, the
music you hear when you'rearound it and all that.
I've never been on it, I know, but it's themed to the band
(14:17):
Aerosmith.
It's a great theme, but thequeue you're outside most of the
time until you get inside.
There's a couple little coolthings inside, but then the
pre-show is okay and then it'sthemed well inside.
But the overall attraction tome it's time for the re-theme.
I'm looking forward to Muppets.
(14:37):
I'm looking forward to Animalcounting you in before that
countdown.
That's what you're hoping.
But something like that, right,I'm looking forward to that,
right, yeah, like, I'm lookingforward to that.
It's time.
So that's why it is number sixon my list.
Now Ryan and I are going todisagree on his number six.
His number six is Big ThunderMountain.
(14:58):
Now he's not here to defend it.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Right.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
But number six is big
thunder mountain it's just not
as thrilling, yeah, it's likefor him.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
He would probably say
it's not as thrilling.
He likes all the the extra onthe rides and stuff, so that
yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
So we're gonna know.
Number five nolan, what isnumber five on your list?
Speaker 4 (15:22):
my number five is
seven doors mine train okay, all
right explain so the reason whyseven doors mine train is my
number five is because, well, the weight is just two, it's too
long for like how the ride goesit's a short ride, it's short,
(15:43):
the queue is.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
It's alright.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
It's mid.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
It's mid yeah.
So if you're listening to this, you're going to get some of the
middle school and kids slang.
So it's mid Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Um, it's, I mean,
it's not Wait.
No, we already said that it'snot a bad coaster.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Yeah, but it's not
wait, no we already said that
it's not a bad coaster, but it'sjust not on the top of your
list no okay, brittany, what isyour number five?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
yeah, I kind of just
changed it up a little bit uh oh
slinky dog okay yes, I did haveit initially as my number two,
but as I'm like sitting herestaring at the rest of my list
and thinking of the ride and thequeue and things that you do
while you wait and all thatSlinky Dog, Now the queue.
(16:34):
I think they did great theming.
You know, it's the instructionsfor the coaster.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
After the fourth time
of me pointing it out to you
like oh I know so you do havethat, you know.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
But sometimes it
doesn't really always
necessarily jump out at you andI think at times it took me a
little bit to realize that istruly what it was, because our
kids were younger.
I was just trying to keep thempatiently waiting, you know, so
you know, you don't patientlywait.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
I'm not even patient.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Yeah, he has no
patience, but if I have,
something to at least distractme.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
So, anyway, we'll
start doing like that Disney
Play app and do trivia and stuff.
You know now that he's a littleolder.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah, that's fine, so
but yeah, slinky Dog, though I
mean the theming is great, youknow.
I mean we've already talkedabout it, but I just already
talked about it, but I just thethe rest of the rides that we're
going to talk about, I, I think, just have more of that
backstory and theming so, allright, so, but it's a fun, fun
coaster ryan's number five andthis breaks my heart space
(17:39):
mountain, my number five, okay,okay.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
So this, this is when
it got really really difficult
for me, really hard, because therest of them are all themed
Well, they're all reallythrilling, they all have a great
overall experience, right,right.
So these these are not the lastfive were very hard for me.
Number five for me.
(18:05):
Number five for me and I hateto say this because I love this
overall attraction Big ThunderMountain Railroad.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Oh, my word really.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
It's got a great
story.
I just wrote about it in mybook, so I know it very well.
The imagineering the storyabout it how it became I love
all very well.
The the imagineering the storyabout it how it became I love
all of that, but when it comesdown to it, it's just not as
thrilling as my bottom four.
Wow, that's what it came downto.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Dang.
Your bottom four must be goodNow.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
It, just it's fun.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
I love it.
I love slip, you know, slidingaround, and I love this
backstory.
I love the Imagineering.
I love all the references tothe Society of Explorers and
Adventurers.
I love the backstory with TonyBaxter and and how this was he
brought this to life.
I love all of that, but when itcomes down to overall,
(19:03):
including thrill, this wasnumber five okay now.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yes, you do move
around quite a bit on this so
there is a you know 40 inchheight requirement.
Yeah, remove your hats.
And mouse ears, for sure, so.
But uh, I'll talk about it alittle bit more in a few all
right, so now we're getting intothe meat of it.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Nolan, what is your
number four ranked roller
coaster?
Speaker 4 (19:30):
I hate to say it, but
number four is space mountain
okay, all right, I'll take itspace mountain because, um, like
I kind of agree with mommy, itlike kind of needs to be updated
and I just feel like it's notas good as my top three okay,
(19:51):
all right and most of most ofthe time.
Now it's down.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
It's not down that
much, just that one morning.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
That one morning.
I think it's sticking in yourmind because that's usually what
y'all rope drop and it was downthat particular morning.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
All right, brady, and
also oh, you're not done yet,
sorry.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
And also it's a one
ride, like per seat, you can
only fit one person.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Like a sled.
Yeah, yeah, I like that.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
See, and that's why I
prefer the one in Disneyland,
because you sit side-by-side.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Instead of like a
bobsled yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Okay, brittany.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
So my next one and I
just changed some again.
That's part of the rules thatwe just made up on the fly here.
So seven dwarfs, mine train I.
I do love it.
I did have it a little furtherdown or ahead, I guess you could
say on the list.
But you know, when you arethinking of the overall
(20:48):
experience it's midway throughon my list just because it's,
it's fun, but it is a little tooshort, you know, and especially
if you're waiting in that long, long line, I just feel like
it's over too soon.
But I mean the theming of it.
Very, very well done.
It's another good introductorycoaster.
You know, just like Zach wassaying earlier, it's also a dark
(21:11):
ride as well.
You know the queue.
There's plenty for you to do inthe queue while you wait.
You know you can sort jewelsand wash them with water spigots
and you know, come across acollection of barrels
overflowing with glowing stonesand turn the barrels and watch
as the ceiling is transformed.
You know, with the reflectionsand everything, like there's
(21:32):
things to keep you busy andstuff while you're waiting in
that line queue.
But I just wish the ride itselfwas was slightly longer.
Yeah, but you know the scenesthat it does take you through,
like I love the hi ho it is cute, it's a good coaster.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Yeah, yeah, all right
, we'll go to ryan's number four
and he put rock and rollercoaster.
Now he likes the big thrills.
So that's, you know what he'slooking at.
He's going upside down at zeroto 60 in two seconds and all
that, like he loves that stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
So that's why it's
number four for him.
Okay, all right, my number four.
And this is where it getsreally tricky for me.
Okay.
And I know a lot of people atdinner last night was debating
this, my number four and this istough for me.
But when we're looking atoverall cue coaster, thrill
(22:30):
everything, space Mountain.
Okay.
Number four I thought no onewas going to do it.
I mean, that's the same as mine, yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
But I didn't think it
was going to be your number
four, but I thought it wouldhave made the top three.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Look, I love the cue.
I love just the old schoolnostalgia of it.
I love the music, everythingabout it.
I do love Just the thrill.
It's fun.
The thrill just isn't quitethere though.
Star tunnel, star, I love startunnel.
I can listen to that music allthe time.
(23:02):
Right, yeah, I love all theeaster eggs and the nods and the
scientific stuff in the queue, all of those pictures of like
galaxies and nebulas and allthat stuff.
If you look that up on Googlethat's all real stuff.
Oh, I mean, I'm sure it's all socool, but when it comes to
everything, including the thrillaspect, space mountains, number
(23:24):
four.
So my top three.
I'm sure we're narrowing itdown, but, Nolan, what is your
number three?
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Big Thunder Mountain.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Big Thunder Mountain.
All right, go for Three BigThunder Mountain, railroad, big
Thunder Mountain.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
All right, go for it,
tell us about it.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you sit side by side.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
It's kind of long.
I guess you could say it is fora coaster.
It is a little bit long.
Yeah, you're correct.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
It's kind of fast.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
It is yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
Yeah, and you don't
have to be too young for it.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
No, I don't know what
the right height is for it,
probably 40 inches.
Big Thunder 40.
40.
Yeah, it's fun.
Yeah, again, none of these arebad coasters.
None of them.
Just how we ranked them.
Brittany, you're number four.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
The Q's how we ranked
them.
Britney, you're number four, the q, sorry, number three.
You're right, the q is prettygood.
The q is cool.
There's some cool stuff in theq.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
I've talked about it
a lot like you can.
There's like I don't know likehandles you like, so that used
to be connected to the rock workas you look out the back part
of the q and you could like blowstuff up oh, that's cool,
that's cool it doesn't do thatanymore, but you can still do
the handles and all that yeah.
Right, but it's not connectedto anything, unfortunately.
All right, Brittany, you'renumber three.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Expedition Everest
I'm so mad.
Expedition Everest Legend ofthe Forbidden Mountain.
You know, this is an animalkingdom.
You do need to be 44 inches ortaller.
It's definitely a thrill ridewith big drops.
There's dark parts to it, youknow.
(25:06):
I just I know a lot of peopleare like what in the world, but
I just I don't know If you areone that loves the thrill and
you know, the faster, biggerdrops, the better.
Feeling like you're goingupside down, even though you're
not, because you're in the darkand all of that Like this would
be the ride for you.
(25:26):
But that's just not me Now.
I have now let me.
Let me say this I have not gonethrough the queue, I've only
seen, like, the pictures andstuff and you should gone
through the queue.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
I've only seen like
the pictures and stuff and you
should go through the queue.
Thank you.
And you would change your mindand you only you, only you've
only rode the ride once.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
No, I rode it like
three times.
You've done it a few times.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Oh yeah, yeah, I've
ridden it a few times, it's just
been a few years, but no soanyway yours, but no so anyway
what.
But what I, what I have seen ofit, you know, I mean it is
great theming for sure, and evenoutside of it, like when you're
just being a spectator watchingpeople ride the ride, you know,
(26:07):
and watching them go up andcoming down, and everything like
I mean the theming all aroundthis coaster definitely is there
, you know, it's, it's beautifulto look at from, you know you
just even watching people rideit.
But it's my number three.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
All right, my number
three in these were hard, but
this is my number three.
We'll go to Ryan's number three.
He put Tron and I'm gonna haveto agree with him.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
I never rode Tron.
I know and I haven't either.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
So, and I'm going to
have to agree with them, I never
rode Tron, yeah, and I haven'teither.
So Tron's number three on mineand Ryan's list.
I'm going to speak for myself, not for Ryan.
The outside of it is just epic.
The music is epic, but the cue.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
What I've seen.
It's kind of plain.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
So on the outside,
before you go in, it's just
standard switchbacks.
And then when you get in andit's kind of cool for a second,
but it's like you get Like theyflash open where you launch at.
So you get to see where theylaunch at and that's pretty cool
to see.
But then you just stand in thiswaiting room following
instructions and it's like aswitchback and then you get to
(27:17):
the lockers and then you getinto the main thing.
Like it's not.
There's not a lot of cool stuffin the queue, right.
So the overall experience isnot that high, except for the
thrill.
This is a short coaster, butman, is it mighty.
(27:37):
It is unlike any coaster you'veever done before.
You're sitting on thatmotorbike, you're leaning
forward I like to hit my arms upand that launch outside into
where the people are walking.
That is so awesome At night, man like so good.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
So you think like
part of the reason why you enjoy
it the most is the type ofseating.
It is, though it's different.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yes, it's very
different.
It's awesome If you get thechance and you love coasters, it
is so fun, Like that.
Launch outside is nothing likethat.
Now, once you get in, it windsaround inside.
It's fun.
But that outside portion atnight there's nothing like that.
(28:26):
But it's only number three.
Number three on my list is Tron.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
So we've got two more
to go Like how you sit on Tron,
is it kind of like FlightPassage?
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Kind of, but you lean
forward a lot more.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah, like you're
almost more on your knees.
I haven't ridden it, but justlooking.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
I think you would,
once you get a little bit older.
I think you would enjoy it.
All right, Nolan, what is yournumber two?
Speaker 4 (28:50):
My number two Slinky
Dog Dash.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Talk about it, slinky
dog dash.
Well, I mean, I like the cue, like it tells you, like it's
kind of like a lego setinstructions yeah, yeah and it's
kind of long, and then I likehow this like three, two, one,
and then it has like the go gotalk in there, yeah yeah, that
is, yeah, it's cool.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Yeah, because some
people, I think, think the ride
is over at that part before Hangon.
And then, also it takes likesharp turns and it's yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Well, talking to the
mic, not to mommy.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
I'm just looking at
you, yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Okay, well, good.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
All right, brittany,
what is your number two?
Speaker 1 (29:36):
So my number two at
one point was my number one,
then it went back to number two, then it was my number one, then
it went back to number two, okay, okay.
So currently my number two isBig Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
And it's high up
there on the list just because,
for one, I do like the length ofthe ride.
You know.
So, like it make, even if youhave to wait like 45 minutes, it
makes it feel worth the waitfor one.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Definitely.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
You know so and it's
fun.
I mean, zach has purposelypowered into me more on those
turns than how it really threwhim over on my side, you know,
because you you are, as you'retaking the turns, you're bumping
into the people next to you.
You know you're sliding around alittle bit, but it's just, it's
(30:23):
fun, you know, and I think itjust has a lot of like memories
for us.
And you know the theming, as wewere saying earlier.
You know like, yes, it is anolder ride and stuff, but I just
I really like the theming allaround because I mean, it really
does feel like you are on thatwildest ride in the wilderness,
like you're out West and in thewilderness and it's got a mind
(30:45):
of its own and you don't knowwhich way you're going to turn
next.
And you know you, I'm lookingforward to like the updates that
they're supposed to be doing toit.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Yeah, closed for the
rest of the year.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Yeah, so you know if
they're doing the dynamite scene
like they have in Disneyland, like I love that part.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Yeah, you know I
might close my eyes through some
of this ride and scream a lot,but it's fun.
It is fun yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
And me and Ryan
watched the fireworks from here.
Yeah One, it's fun, it is fun.
Yeah, and me and Ryan watchedthe fireworks from here, yeah,
one night, so that was amemorable experience.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Right.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
All right, Ryan's
number two Guardians of the
Galaxy.
Cosmic Rewind.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
That's his number two
.
That's his number twoInteresting.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Okay, my number two.
Now I know we were at dinnerlast night and everybody was
guessing what this was going tobe.
Now, I know we were at dinnerlast night and everybody was
guessing what this was going tobe, and I'm like I'm not saying
you got to listen to the episode.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
This is your number
two.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
My number two.
These were difficult, yeah, these were really, really hard
and I look at again cue overallexperience, thrillness,
everything about the attractionNumber two for me, expedition
Everest.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
That's your number
two the way you talk about it
and hype it up to everybody it'sa great coaster, it's number
two.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yeah, how is that bad
?
Speaker 4 (32:03):
that's like, I mean,
like it's better than yours.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
You ranked it like
you can't I?
I know I moved it around alittle bit, but I had to go back
in my mind and think of things, but we're still letting Daddy
talk.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Hey, we're not on the
soccer field.
Tone it down just a little bit, okay.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
But I'm just the way
you like, just like earlier when
you were like, yeah, you needto go through the queue.
You do.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
The queue is this is
the best queue in Walt Disney
World.
I'm standing by that.
This is number two Best queuein Walt Disney World.
I'm standing by that, and thisis number two.
Okay, the coaster is great, thedrop is great, the reverse on
it is great.
Everything about this is great, but there's one better Overall
(32:52):
thrill, everything Overall.
It's not just coaster,everything.
This is number two.
It is great.
Okay, it's great.
I'm not going to talk that muchabout it because I mean, you
even have like two Everestshirts.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
Yeah, I do and a pin.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
And a pin and a pin.
I have a pin.
I think he lost one of them.
Well, that was just an AnimalKingdom thing.
Oh yeah, All right, Nolannumber one.
What is your number one rollercoaster in Walt Disney World?
Speaker 4 (33:24):
My number one is
Expedition Everest.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Expedition Everest
Tell me about it.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Well, I mean, it's
long, like pretty long.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
And the queue is
pretty good.
It's awesome like pretty longyeah, and I just the queue is
pretty good.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
It's awesome, isn't
it?
Yeah, we can just hang out inthere, can't we?
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, and also the
wait isn't that long.
If it says 50 minutes, probablylike at least 40, 35.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Which we should be
there right now as we're
recording this.
And the wait times today havebeen pretty long, yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
So yeah, right now,
as we're recording, this and the
wait times today have beenpretty long.
Yeah, so yeah, and I mean thequeue has stuff that, like the
people explored yes, and liketheir tents and like how they
got like scratched up.
Well, not that.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Well, not the people,
but the tents yeah and the
canned food and all that yeah, see, this is when you have
father-son moments and you canteach them this stuff.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
And then when you go
down like I don't know, you feel
free.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Oh yeah, the wait
list.
Sit in the back, sit in theback, it's so much fun.
Yeah, yeah, anything else youwant to talk about it?
Speaker 4 (34:33):
I like how it goes
backwards and like yeah so
that's the simulate going upsidedown.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
That's what it's
supposed to simulate that tight
yeah, the.
G's.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
It's supposed to
simulate going upside down yeah,
that's all I got alright,brittany, you're number one so
at the start of the show it wasmore in the middle, but I.
I made it number one, eventhough I felt very nauseous for
a little bit after this ride.
I think everything leading upto the name of the ride in a
(35:16):
second.
But if I looked in thedirection that I was supposed to
and not checking on littleNolan, I might not have gotten
that nausea feeling, becausethis ride wants you to look in
certain directions, so it movesyou in that direction, and so if
you're looking at it, they saythat you shouldn't get dizzy.
So, guardians of the Galaxy, cosmic Rewind, because
(35:40):
everything, like the queuethere's so much in that queue,
like I've only been in it oncebut there is a lot of detail, a
lot to take in and look at asyou're standing in that line,
you know.
So it's not like, oh, just alittle bit here, a little bit
there, like it's continuousthroughout, and then, like the
pre-show, you know the pre-showis decent as well.
(36:04):
You know it's really gettingyou in that vibe, that mood, the
environment, you know anextraterrestrial escapade, and I
don't know.
I don't know like all of that Ithoroughly enjoyed.
I thoroughly enjoyed, and itkind of gives you like a
planetarium feel.
I guess the ride itself, Idon't know.
(36:26):
I don't know if I would sayit's a good ride.
I enjoyed it till I felt sick,so I think one of these days I
will ride it again, when I don'tknow it could be.
When I don't know it could be afew months from now, it could be
a year from now, it might befive years from now, I don't
know.
But I think I will ride it atsome point again.
(36:47):
Okay, so because and I thinkthe length of the whole
experience also is is worth itand they do a good job at the
end of the ride once I wasfeeling somewhat okay enough to
open my eyes back up, of justtying in, you know, the
guardians, characters and allthat.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
So all right, yeah,
ryan's number one.
You and ryan actually agree onsomething.
What is going on?
For the first time, for thefirst time.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
For the first time
ever, for the first time in
forever.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Oh, you all agree on
Frozen.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
No, we both agree
that we do not like Frozen.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Ryan's number one
roller coaster is Expedition
Everest.
Again, he reiterated everythingthat you said, Nolan the queue,
the coaster, everything isgreat.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
It's pretty long and
he likes going backwards and
upside down Well, kind of upsidedown, like the feeling of it.
And I mean it's fun.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
The queue is pretty
cool.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Yeah, it's like all
the artifacts, Alright my number
one Favorite roller coaster inall of walt, disney, world,
guardians of the galaxy, cosmic, rewind it.
It beat expedition neversbecause this coaster, there is
nothing like it.
You will never ride anythinglike this anywhere else.
(38:11):
The way the coaster moves, theactual vehicle rotates around
the axis instead of just goingmoving straight.
The whole experience.
The queue has so many nods toHorizons and I'm sorry, not
Horizons, but Universe of Energy.
It's got nods to Walt's in thequeue.
(38:33):
Walt is in the queue.
Come on to walt's in the queue.
Walt is in the queue.
Come on, walt disney is in thequeue.
It's got star lord talking aboutold epcot attractions veggie,
veggie, fruit, fruit, universeof energy, which this attraction
took over the building.
You know um, the, the pre-showis really good if you, you look
I like when the Celestial saidyour, your time is up and
(38:58):
rockets in the back, just kindof nodding his head like an
agreement that humans.
You know it's funny.
The, the music in it.
The coaster is so much fun Like.
This is not just a coaster, this is a fun party experience.
Everybody's screaming andyelling, having a good time.
It's like Mission Breakout inDCA on the West Coast.
(39:20):
It is a party.
This coaster is a party.
It is so much fun.
It's just the whole package.
They nailed it.
They nailed it and that's whyit is ahead of Expedition
Everest for me.
Just everything, I loveeverything about it, and that's
why it is ahead of ExhibitionEverest for me Just everything.
I love everything about it.
Yeah, just yeah.
It's just so much fun the story, the Imagineering.
(39:43):
We had to wait a long time forit and I'm glad they nailed it.
I hope they get the car stuffand Villainsland stuff in Magic
Kingdom right like they did withthis attraction Right.
I don't think anybody's hadanything negative to say other
than like the motion sicknesswith Guardians.
I don't think anybody can saythat's a bad attraction.
(40:05):
I've never heard any likebesides it being motion sickness
.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Right, it being you
know a bad overall attraction.
There are people like it does, say like, if you do get motion
sickness, like you might want tobe aware of that ride.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
So I mean, like it
wasn't just me and Nolan that
felt that way, like there weresome others, it is legitimate,
it is legit.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
But majority of the
people that come off that ride
are just fine, and my thing is,I can't help but wonder what I
have felt that way, not you knowway, staying on track with
where the vehicle was turningand just looking straight ahead,
because it was once I looked tothe side and then tried to look
straight again.
I was like, oh no.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Well, we'll find out
again in June.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
I didn't say.
I said it could be a few monthsfrom now.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
It could be a year
from now or a few years from now
.
I know this is completely offtopic, but is Tower of Terror a
rollercoaster?
Speaker 2 (40:58):
No, it is not a
rollercoaster.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
No, I mean, there are
a lot of other thrilling rides
here, so this episode was justfocused on rollercoasters.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Alright, so there you
have it.
That is my number one isGuardians.
This is the overall experiencethere.
There you have it.
That is my number one isGuardians.
Just the overall experience.
There's nothing like it.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
See, I thought yours
was going.
I thought Space Mountain wouldhave made it in the top three.
I thought it was going to maketop two, and then I thought
Expedition was going to benumber one and Cosmic Rewind was
going to be number two.
See, that was the dinner topiclast night.
What is Zach's number one goingto be number one?
And?
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Cosmic Rewind was
going to be number two.
See, that was the dinner topiclast night.
What is Zach's number one goingto be?
Not just among our family, butamong our friends we were with
yeah.
What is the number one going tobe?
And everybody was like, oh,it's going to be Space Mountain,
it's going to be Space Mountainor Everest.
I don't think anybody said.
I think a couple people saidGuardians.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
But I still think it
was.
I don't know, I mean, I knewthe top.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
I thought your top
three, like I said, was going to
be Space Mountain Somewhere, expedition and Guardians, it's
just.
I love the nostalgia andeverything about Stay Simple,
the thrill.
Just when you look at TronEverest and Guardians, the
thrill is just not quite there.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
But it was ahead of.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
Rockin' Roller
Coaster.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
And Tron may not have
popped in my head as being in
your top because I haven'twritten it, so yeah, yeah, all
right.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
so we asked y'all on
instagram what was your favorite
and least favorite rollercoaster, and so sd bangle said
their favorite is expeditioneverest and least favorite is
the Barnstormer in Magic Kingdom.
B Lee 8519.
