Who was there he met legendary Ferrari Mechanic Francois Sicard who got him into Ferraris and helped him learn how to work on them. At the time Francois was working on David Letterman's growing Ferrari collection.

He talks about Francois Sicard being his mentor and helping him restore his first Ferrari because there are no manuals and it’s difficult to learn. Francois was working on David Letterman’s car collection, and since Tom was working for Letterman, they were able to connect. Tom eventually left the Letterman Show to devote his time to restoring vintage Ferraris.
Tom talks about his job on Letterman which was to record the bands on each show, so he was setting up a performance and concert almost every day. He talks about David Letterman building his Ferrari collection and the Ferraris he was buying to start his collection.
