Speaker 3 (00:42):
It is an absolute tune.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
You're gonna love it and I'm super excited to introduce
you to an artist to watch. Her name is Katie Beza.
She's based in Brighton in the UK. She's a British artist.
She's actually in Australia at the moment. She's got a
few shows here which is super exciting, and she writes
the She's sassy, catchy, fun pop songs and I love
the TikTok video.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
She does us well to them.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
And she was actually inspired to get into music because
of this.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
My mom took me to see Katy Perry and I
went dressed as Katie Perry the PG version because I
was only eight, and we like right at the very top,
she was like this big, but I was like, how
on earth has this kindly woman made everyone in the
O two feel like they're best friends. I feel like
I know everyone overcome heartbreak and im eight years old.
I don't know what loves but I just love it.
I was like, how have you done this? I want
to do that my mom, and she said you can
do whatever you okay, And I said, too right.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I love that. And she's collaborated with Joe Cory, Sigala.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
And heaps more artists because we are joined by her
Vana Brown.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
She has so many hits.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Lives we run the nice You'll be Mine is. She's
so talented as well.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
She dj she sings, she dances, and this is her
first single in a few years. And congratulations on your
brand new single Forever Young. It is so amazing. And
what's it like for you coming into this new era?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (02:09):
It feels really good. Actually, I think this has been
a long time coming. It's like a new era for me.
It's like there's a lot of things that have changed
and I just love the fact that I'm making dance
music again, and I'm so inspired right now. You know.
I love the music that's coming out. I love the
music that's being played in the clubs. And that's always
a good feeling, especially if you're a DJ or a musician.

(02:32):
It's good to feel inspiration. I'm really excited about this era.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I love it as well because it's got like that
nineties like vibe like done.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
In the clubs right now. Like there's a lot of trance,
a lot of techno being played, like a lot of
that ninety sound being played, and it's the crowd are
loving it that's exciting. I love it, like I've never
really lived through that. I didn't live through the clubbing
era of the nineties because I was way too young.
So it's really it's actually new for me to be

(03:02):
playing in the club so it's really cool.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Even as well, Like I love the tiktoks you've been
doing that transition you did on the boat, Like if
I did that, I would have well, So you degreat, like.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
You don't realize how well things are going to work out.
Sometimes I just don't.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Let's me.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
I've had I have a couple of transitions which are
just not as smooth, and I just can't post it.
They're still good, but I'm just like, it's just not
as good. I've set the president way too high and
which I should have started way down here and gotten
better as we go. I'm pretty sure everyone else on
their boats were looking at me, going, what the hell
this girl? My feed you're runt doing all that spinning.
As you're spinning on the boat, it's also rocking, so

(03:41):
like I would have looked like a very very drunk girl.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I wish someone filmed you doing that, like someone on
the other boat. That would have been so funny.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Oh, that would have been hilarious. My partner did film
me actually, and we did post a little video of
the behind the scenes.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
It was so smooth. I was like, oh my god,
how did you do that?

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Yeah? I mean, I think it's got to do with
like having your arm in the same position. So that's
a little trick. So if you have your arm in
the same position, so when you do the transition, which
is hard to do right, when you do the transition,
it's like it's smooth if you if you've got different positioning,
the camera's in a different spot. Then the transition isn't

(04:20):
as smooth.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I'll have to try a little trick with you. Thank
you for that.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I'm going to try it and I'll let you know
how it goes. I remember years ago. It was back
when I was in high school. I saw you live
when you open for Britney Spears, Like, it's crazy, how
long ago it was?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Well, this was like wait, this was just before I
released We Run the Night, So probably two thousand and nine.
Long time ago.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Yeah, time flies.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
It's insane like to think about.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
And I've got a rapid round of question for you.
What is one of your favorite songs of yours?

Speaker 5 (04:50):
I actually have a couple that was on my last album.
There's one called Naughty, another one called Anyone. They were
on the album, but not not as single.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
And someone you love to work Queens Day Getter.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
I love how he's able to do pop and dance together.
So I just really think that I would really get
him and maybe he'd understand me.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah, I think that'd be amazing. You're collaborating with him
and you'll go to coffee.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Order Oh that's an Oatmelk cappuccino. But when I'm overseas,
it is an Americano with oatmelk, because you know, just
the cappuccinos aren't the same overseas. We've got it down
pat here in Australia.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
What's on your backstage rider vodka, got.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
Shivers and the shivers is for my friends who doesn't
drink anything else but shivers, Coca Cola, soda water because
I drink vodka and soda. And I also have a
champagne on there for my other friends.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
And describe your music in three.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Words energetic, fun and love.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
And who's the artist that inspire.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
You right now? I really love Doja Cat. I think
she's just suck an incredible artist. I just love her
lyrically as well. Oh, like the things that she says.
It's so the way she puts it, the way she
rhymes it. I just don't know how she does it.
It's incredible.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
She's amazing. And what is your favorite show to watch?

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Friends and Seinfeld.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Oh yeah, they're so funny.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Yeah, it's just kind of like it's just good energy.
It's like it feels like you're friends in the background.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah, Jella, you've achieved like so much about your career already.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Is there anything else on your bucket? Least that you'd
love to achieve.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
I love what I do and I just want to
be able to continue to do what I do. That
would be the dream for me because we just have
so much fun like and I think it's the best
job in the world.
