Speaker 1 (00:00):
Your Love Lie, Countdown Jem's Phoebe Let's counting down the
biggest songs in the country and around the world, as
voted by you.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
All right here, bab, I like Jem hanging out with
the LP Saturday night. You can get in touch anytime.
Countdown with Jem on Socials. We've got so much new
music on the show from DJ Khaled, Tia Tia, Sammy,
Constant Sign, and heaps more. And I'm super excited to
introduce you to American artist Taylor. She is hanging out
(00:33):
and she writes these amazing songs. There's so much emotion
to them. It's like old pop rock come No.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
So.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I love that you released your EP last year, Life's
a Bitch. Then you're released the Life's a Bitch Still
de Luxe version. I love how it's like such bad
bitch vibes.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Thanks. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
I came out with Life's a Bitch my first EP,
and then I did Life Civich Still as the deluxe
bonus version because it's like we're still here. Yeah, this
is an extension of life already being shitty, I think shittier.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
So and how was it your experience like working on
their deluxe EP?
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Feel like when I started writing the songs that were
on the original epleifs Bitch, I was a completely different person.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Going back in and reliving.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
That is like, it's so surreal because starting the deluxe
version and writing that in that process was like, oh
my god, I remember the feeling of writing these other
songs and who I was then and where I was
at and now I'm sitting here writing about something similar
but completely different, and I'm like, I don't even recognize
that person anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
But it's all kind of it all kind of fell
under the same thing.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
But it felt like taking my power back to because
on the deluxe version I added I Can't in.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Full Throttle, which were two totally.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Different songs, and one was really you know, emotional and
vulnerable and fell into like the same shit that the
first EB did. And then full Throttle was like, Okay,
now she's in her bad bitch villain era and taking
her power back and she's not doing this anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
So it was cool to wrap it up with that.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, and I love the bad Bitch vibes and yesterday
you dropped your Brandy Sinkle beetlejuice. I love it. It
has such a cool sound to it as well, which.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Is so random and kind of came out of nowhere.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
But I think if it's not my favorite song I've written,
it's definitely like.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Up there because it's just cool, got a cool vibe.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I love that. On your Instagram you did a post
asking your fans where you should go in tool So
does that mean you're planning like some shows?
Speaker 4 (02:49):
You have some shows coming up, so I was wanting
to see kind of like where the most like high
demand places are so I can make sure that I
hit those spots. I've played festivals here and there and
some smaller shows before I even had music out, So
these will actually be my first shows where I have
music out and an audience that's like singing.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Lyrics back to me.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
I think it would be absolutely nuts.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
That's so exciting, And I've got a rapid round of
questions for you. What is your favorite place to visit?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Oh, my gosh, Sodona, Arizona.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
You'll go to coffee order.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
I like a large iced marcher with oatmel.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I've never tried much out, but I want to try it.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
The first time I had and I was like, but
then I got it the way that I.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Like it and what is your favorite social media platform?
TikTok always fun. Yeah, if you had a superpower, what
would it be to fly? Yeah, that'd be amazing. You
could just go anywhere. You don't have to worry about
going on a plane, like driving.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
You'll want to just be like, I'm gonna fly now.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
And here's some artists that inspire you just down.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Definitely, She's still my favorite. I love Scissa Kailani. Those
are my top three.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Definitely.

Speaker 3 (04:00):

Yeah, Friends is the best.
Speaker 2 (04:10):

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I actually really like Chandler.

Monica is my favorite girl, but Chandler, Chandler's goody.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
If you could achieve something this time next year, what
would it be?
Speaker 3 (04:20):

If it's shooting for the stars you have, but I
want to sell out Madison Square Garden.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Oh my god, Yes it's gonna happen. I think it
will exactly put it out there, and.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
I already thought that Madison's g exactly.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
You already did that. And thank you so much for
the chat as well. So lovely chatting with you.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Thank you so much. It's so going to meet you.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
And this song has blown up all over TikTok. It's
charting so well as well. It's by Olivia Rodrigos. It's
the second single from her second studio album, Guts, which
comes out next month. And I love the videos to
where it's like a pop rock song. It reminds me
of like the early two thousands as well. It's bad idea,
You're right. Olivia Rodrigo coming in and number one on
