Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're going to talk
about two ways that I've been a
massive hypocrite in my businessin the past.
The first one is saying that Ihave given myself a huge mindset
breakthrough and everything'sjust going to start happening
now.
Well, if that was true, whydidn't I do it earlier?
Seriously, if I was capable ofgiving myself that breakthrough
(00:22):
and everything was going tohappen?
The interesting thing is,whenever I would say, oh, I
figured it all out, it was whenI had a door open to me that
would have been uncomfortable tostep through and looking back
on it, and anytime that I haveended up stepping through those
doors would have been extremelyvaluable and growth delivery to
(00:46):
to walk through that door.
But what did I do?
Right?
I said no, I, uh, I gave myselfthe breakthrough.
I use my tools on myself, I'mgoing to, I'm good.
But then I was telling myclients that they need that.
They benefit from a mirror, they benefit from reflection,
they benefit from me walkingthem through a process.
(01:07):
But because I'm good at what Ido, I cornered myself and I said
no, I'm good.
Like people talk about me, myclients call me the goat right,
a spiritual guide, steward ofconsciousness, a wise one.
I've been mentioned in three ofmy clients' books.
So I must have it under control, right?
Wrong guys, we all have this.
(01:31):
We all have these unconsciousbiases that will keep us in a
safe pattern.
And safe isn't what we'rechasing here.
Like not as our nervous systemsees it anymore.
Like we're not out on theplanes without fire, without
food and we need to go findsomething or be killed.
That's not what this is anymore.
(01:51):
That's not the reality we livein, but our nervous system still
thinks it is.
So change.
No, no, actually, you know whatI know mindset coaching.
So you know what I did is Icognitively?
(02:19):
I thought about it and I said, hmm, I got it.
I in my call it what it is myenergy field in my heart,
because I knew what I should begetting as the end result.
So, because I knew that, Idecided I was there and okay,
(02:42):
cool, some value to that.
Except for when you skip steps, things will fall apart,
inefficiencies will be exposed.
When you skip steps and puttogether an airplane because you
have DEI hires, guess whatDoors will fall off while
they're flying, plain and simple.
So if you're a mindset coach whoknows what to do for mindset
(03:03):
and how to coach mindset andwhat you're supposed to get as
the end result, and you try toalways live there without ever
practicing your craft.
You kind of start looking likea fitness coach who says, oh, I
know all of this, so I don'tneed to work out in the gym.
I know what the end result issupposed to be, so I'm just
going to have it.
That's not how it goes, guys, and I've learned this the hard
(03:28):
way over and over and over again.
It's why I continually investinto mentors.
It's why I have a mentor I'vebeen working with this whole
year, and then I just investedwith another program that for
spent $10,000 to learn some newtools, to clear blocks and to
(03:49):
get extremely, to look at howthis individual teaches people
to be organized in theirbusiness, that the systems that
he runs.
Because this is the same thingI did with fitness coaching.
Guys, if you want to talk aboutlike being a grade A coach, this
is what it is.
You go, learn from otherpeople's systems and you take a
little bit of this, you take alittle bit of that and you take
what works for the way that youwant to deliver things and you
(04:12):
make an amalgamation for yourown system, for your own
delivery.
What you don't do is go learnone system and say I'm an expert
, and then never practice thatsystem.
And then try and get people topay you money.
But never lean into the factthat, like, maybe you have blind
spots, I don't know.
(04:34):
Crazy, thought it's only costme easy half a million dollars
in the last decade.
Only cost me easy half amillion dollars in the last
decade Probably more, Probablydefinitely more thinking about
it, you know.
So that's one way that I'vebeen a hypocrite.
Another way is that I've hid increation.
Guys, what do I mean by that?
(04:54):
I mean that when we first getinto entrepreneurship, when we
first make that jump, it was abig change.
We started our business, wecreated this thing and that gave
us the initial momentum.
So we think right.
We think that, well, I am goingto go and get more momentum.
(05:15):
Well, how am I going to getmore momentum?
Well, how did I get it before?
I made a big change.
So I'm going to stop doing thelittle things that created more
and more momentum and I'm goingto make a big change because
that'll get me more right.
Wrong Again.
Sometimes it takes a repositionon the offer.
Sometimes we build newresources Cool.
(05:36):
If you actually want to run abusiness, though, and not just
play struggling artist for yourwhole career, there comes a time
when your big projects savethose for your personal fucking
hobbies and let your business bethe thing that you make small,
sustainable changes to.
You change one lever, oneneedle at a time, and you keep
(06:00):
going.
What you don't do is you don'tgo and get into a program.
For any of my clients listening, I'm talking about somebody
else I've talked about with acolleague of mine who has been
in a few programs.
They go in and they don't taketake action, and then they leave
(06:22):
the program.
Then they go and start sniffingaround another program, but
between those programs they gooh, I'm building something new,
I'm going to be rich Really.
Well, maybe, maybe your journeyrequires that you go through
this struggle, or maybe you havea story running that you don't
(06:43):
deserve to be actuallysuccessful, so you're going to
continue delaying that saidsuccess by mentally masturbating
and creating new things andtrying to convince yourself that
this is the next best thing andthat this vehicle will be the
thing to bring your success.
Not your actions, not yourconsistency, not your
follow-through, not your abilityto see the ones and zeros in
(07:04):
your business without emotionand I'm gonna do a whole podcast
on this soon but the idea thatwe're going to break out of the
matrix by consistently creatingbut never actually look at the
matrix right, and that's what alot of this nonsense is right.
(07:27):
We're not looking at the matrix, we're not looking at the ones
and zeros.
You know what that is.
It's the data that runs ourbusiness, it is our KPIs, it is
our sales, and we have thisemotional resistance to looking
at it.
Because if we look at it, wemight actually see that the
action that we don't want totake is the one that will move
us forward.
(07:48):
And then we'll have to confrontthe reason that we haven't been
taking that action.
And that shit's scary, right, because, okay, now, why wasn't I
taking that?
Oh, you mean, I have thatnarrative running and people are
afraid to confront that.
But you know what I've seenhappen 100% of the time, when
people do take a look at that,oh, wow, I'm really glad I did
(08:12):
that, because that boogeyman inthe closet that I thought would
be so hard to confront turns outit's just a pile of clothes and
I was able to fold it and putaway and there's no more
boogeyman in the closet.
Now I'm able to move forwardwith ease.
This is why people don't checktheir bank accounts unless they
know they just got paid.
That's why people don't look attheir credit score.
(08:34):
This is why we don't look atand don't log our KPIs, because
if we don't log our KPIs we cansay, well, it didn't work.
No, we didn't work.
We didn't do the things.
Guys, we didn't track it.
And I'm talking to me of yearsago.
(08:56):
I slacked off like for fulltransparency.
Tracking KPIs for me is stillsomething that, while I know the
value of, I would much ratherdo a million other things, but
it's part of running a realbusiness and it's not like
nutrition macros guys, where youcan get your macros set and
(09:19):
then kind of just wing it inyour business, because if you
wing it, you wing it, you wingit and all of a sudden you have
a bad month but you were wingingit.
You can't tell why there was abad month.
So that's the rant for today.
I aim to keep these at 10minutes or less.
(09:40):
Guys, there are a lot of coachesout there talking about
authenticity and using fuckingchat GPT content to talk about
authenticity.
I mean, I don't know abouty'all that sounds like trying to
get pregnant while wearing acondom, like what the fuck?
Seriously, seriously, there arekeys to authenticity.
(10:07):
There are keys to be able toshow up in a way that magnetizes
clients that you fucking loveworking with, and it's not just
just show up and be vulnerable.
No, it's actually look at whyyou're not being vulnerable.
Actually, look at the storiesthat have been running the show
up until this point, so that, instead of just trauma dumping
on your audience and creating anaudience and clients who are
(10:30):
just going to come in and createmore of the noise that's
already going on in your head, you can actually become the
biggest grandfather clock in theroom, because your swing is so
grounded, so present, thateverybody else falls in sync.
That's what we do here.
If you're new here now, you know, if you've been around for a
(10:52):
while, you've been listening topodcasts and been watching
YouTube videos, and you're likeman, this is all so awesome,
like I'm going to work withChase one day.
I know a few of you that havebeen saying that for like a year
, and I'm the last one to twistyour arm.
I will hold up a mirror, though, and tell you that those of you
that I'm thinking about to thebest of my knowledge, you are in
(11:14):
a very similar spot that youwere a year ago.
Meanwhile, I have clients thatsigned up last week that are
enrolling their first clientsafter a massive dry spell.
So choice is yours Stay stuckwhere you are, book a call and
let's get you moving.
