Speaker 1 (00:00):
Guys, you just need to work smarter, not harder.
You just need to do the rightthings and make it easy on
yourself.
This is such a load of you knowwhat.
Because, guys, in order to worksmarter, guess what you first
get to do.
You get to work harder.
You get to throw a bunch ofstuff against the wall and

(00:21):
figure out what works and whatdoesn't for your business.
A bunch of stuff against thewall and figure out what works
and what doesn't for yourbusiness, you get to I mean,
let's take the gym, for exampleright, so many people go in and
they drive and drive and drive, and then it's like oh wait, here
are the things that work for me, here are the things that fit
in my schedule.
Some of those people, some ofthem go in and they hire a
trainer and they buy into thefact out of the gate that there

(00:45):
is a professional that haswalked this journey before and
knows how to most efficientlyget them there without throwing
too much on their plate.
90% of the people, probably more, just go buy a gym membership
and they either don't do enoughbecause they're trying to work
smarter, not harder, and theywonder why they don't see their

(01:07):
results right.
They're like well, I'm justtaking it easy.
And then two years goes by andthey have the same body, the
same strength, the same physiqueand they're like huh, I guess
this just isn't for me.
The gym doesn't work.
Those people must be cheating.
And then, on the flip side ofit, you have people that come in

(01:28):
and they go way too hard, butthey believe that they need to
go that hard, and they're alwayswalking around with a cranked
shoulder or a wonky elbow orthey think that they need their
30-minute warm-up to be able tomove pain-free Right.
They never get out of that laneof you need to work super,

(01:53):
super hard.
And then you have the middleground People who work hard to
start, who go super hard.
They gain some progress andthen they go oh, here are the
things I can use to continuemoving forward at a pace
sustainable for me and that I amhappy with.
And then you have the outliers, because these truly are the
outliers, the people that puttheir ego aside on a journey

(02:14):
that others are doing on theirown and say you know what?
Somebody else, somebody elsehas done this before.
And why would I work so hard tofigure it out?
Why wouldn't I just worksmarter by tapping into somebody
else's journey who has walked apath that I'm trying to walk,
and let them guide me through itso that I can work smarter in

(02:39):
an efficient manner from thestart.
Now, that's not to say it stillwon't be hard.
It's still going to be workingharder before they work smarter,
because it's still a change inthe routine.
The hard then becomesimplementing these things right.
The hard becomes shifting thehabits.
The hard becomes shifting thestory around what it is, because

(03:01):
it is simple to shift a story, shift a narrative step into a
new paradigm.
It's not easy, though, and incase you were wondering, in case
you didn't pick up on that, yes, we're talking about the gym,
and it also applies to business.
It applies to any new journeyin life.

(03:21):
If we're being quite frank and Isee it every day you know, just
like the new year'sresolutioners that come in and
go super hard but don't see theresults they want and the amount
of time they thought they'd getthem and fall off.
I see fantastic coaches whojust have one or two things,
just that little bit, missingfrom their marketing and their

(03:43):
message, and they go hard in thepaint thinking that they're
doing the right things and eightweeks, 12 weeks, six months
goes by and they don't have theprogress they think they deserve
.
So they stop, just like a NewYear's resolutioner who didn't
have the progress that theythought they deserved for 12

(04:04):
weeks or for two weeks in thegym after 18 years of bad habits
.
Guys, consistency createsresults, right.
So the working smarter so thatwe can keep going.
It also takes hard work to workconsistently, and this whole
phrase working smarter, notharder, a lot of people will use

(04:27):
to be like well, I'm just, I'mworking smarter by honoring my
nervous system and resting today.
That's cool, but hopefully thataligns with your goals.
Like, if you want a body thatshows that you just rested when
actually you could have went towork out, it wasn't that you

(04:47):
needed to rest, it was just thatyour subconscious was fighting
against the new identity thatyou're trying to step into.
Cool.
If that's the physique, you'rehappy with awesome.
And if that's the business, you're happy with awesome,
because so often it's not thatyou're burnt out, it's just that
you are stepping into a newidentity and it takes work.

(05:09):
Guys, there are too many peoplesugarcoating this, selling snake
oil, trying to say, oh, it'sgoing to be the easiest thing
ever.
Yeah, there are some plug andplay systems.
There are some proven conceptsthat make this journey simple.
And to say that it's easy, Imean easy is what you make it

(05:31):
right, and a lot of people thinkeasy be able to maintain your
same habits right.
Easy can be, you are in flowdoing these actions.
Easy can be you know what to doso you take action swiftly and

(05:52):
see results.
Easy is not sitting on yourcouch watching Netflix,
scrolling your phone, keepingthe same exact habits that got
you to where you are, becausewhat got you where you are will
not get you to where you'regoing, I promise you, or to
where you want to go.
What got you where you are willget you to where you're going
because you're already on thatpath.
But what got you to where youare will not get you to where

(06:15):
you want to go, unless you wantto stay completely stagnant, and
that's I mean.
That doesn't sound like any funto me, like happiness is
created from within, and onceyou actually create true
happiness and self-love, not thespiritual bypassing type, you
start to realize that it is funto go out there and try new

(06:36):
adventures.
It is fun to go, explore andsee where your ceiling is or how
much you can raise it whilestill enjoying your life, while
still having the things thatallow you to be present and
fully aware of this humanexperience.
I don't know, call me crazy guys, it's just the ramblings of a
guy who's built a team, had abrick and mortar business for

(06:59):
eight years, been anentrepreneur for 11 years, been
a part of a multimillion dollarbusiness deal.
There are some things out thereright now, people who are saying
, oh, work smarter, not harder, and those people forget to give
credit to what the beginning oftheir journey was like.
It's like the fitness coach whosays, oh, it's all about

(07:21):
mindset, but the fact that theywere stuck, the fact that they
needed to work on their mindset,is what got them in the gym in
the first place.
Sometimes it takes a little bitof elbow grease on the front
end and often it helps to knowwhere to apply said elbow grease
.
It helps to know where to applysaid elbow grease If you want

(07:44):
to collapse time horizons, ifyou want to lean into the new
paradigm and make it simplerthan you thought it could be and
make the shift quicker than youthought you ever could and lean
into the fact that it does takea little bit of elbow grease.
There's a link down below.
Let's talk for 30 minutes andsee if it's a fit.
