Welcome to Coaching Conversations

We have created a NEW and Innovative line of books called Workplace Coaching Books. These books use QR codes with embedded audio and video lessons speaking directly to the reader. Each book comes with assessments and journal based coaching pages where they document what they've learned and what they've applied. In addition each book comes with the self analysis link that prompts them to share what they've learned and what they've put into action leading to greater learner application a

Progress Coaching 360 is a dynamic leadership development system that equips managers and teams with powerful coaching skills through a blend of training, real-time practice, peer learning, and feedback. With built-in accountability and hands-on application using Coaching Cards and best practice sessions, Progress Coaching 360 turns coaching from theory into action—building a sustainable culture of growth, feedback, and performance.

Progress Coaching 360 teaches leaders how to coach and employees how to develop coachability skills. This unique combination helps build great workplace cultures.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Journal-based coaching really has taken on a
lot of different nuances, andwhen you think about
journal-based coaching, I thinkabout the book the Progress
Principle by Teresa Amable.
She used journaling to actuallycreate contextual, if not
statistical, reference to thebenefits of progress.
What she noticed?
That when people journaledwhere they were progressing,

(00:24):
they found out when they wereprogressing they were at their
most motivated state.
The value of journaling, now,one of the things that we teach
in Progress Coaching is toactually take the time and
observe other people and journal, and so, if you want to learn
good presentation skills, learnfrom somebody by watching them

(00:45):
or watch a TED Talk and thenjournal what are the three
things they did?
Well, what the personeventually is doing little do
they know is they're actuallycoaching themselves.
Now we actually created a wholeseries of journal-based
coaching books and essentiallypeople journal and we actually
embed audios into the booksproviding instruction, questions

(01:07):
, thought, and then we have athought-provoking and then
people journal based on whatthey actually learned.
Here's the value of journalingwhen we bring other senses,
other learning modalities, ifyou will, or learning techniques
into play, we tend to retainmore when you watch a
presentation versus watch apresentation and then actually

(01:28):
write down what you learned andthen share it with somebody.
You're more committed toimprovement or retention as it
relates to that particular areathat you've been learning.
Journal-based coaching isapplicable in a lot of different
ways, so one of the things thatwe just launched is something
called cadence coaching.
So when I think about cadencecoaching, cadence is when we

(01:50):
send out content and we'reteaching how to coach, for
example.
Then we're asking what we callquestion sets what did you learn
?
What's an area that this couldbe applied to?
What's a challenge thatresonates with you when you go
through this content?
And what they're essentiallydoing is journaling what they
learned.
When we see that we now cancollaborate based on their world

(02:14):
, journaling is one of the mostvaluable things that we could do
, and we have to, as leaders, becreative in the way we
facilitate it.
