And then we sort of get intosort of an average.

amount of popularity.
Anyway, the goal, you know,we're re-establishing our goals.
I think intentions are such animportant thing, and I think
that goals are necessary becausethey guide you.
And so we see we we talkedrecently about a goal of helping

a hundred thousand people.
That's a big number.
I feel like we've helped lots ofpeople.
We've had the the blessing, thehonor to help lots of people.
And a hundred thousand would bea huge number.

I mean, I think we're like 10% there already.
So we're not too 2%, 2%, not10%.

Maybe, maybe 2%.
Maybe 2% there.
So it's really about, you know,how do we help more?
How do we be more helpful?
What are we trying to do?
From from your perspective, tellme what we're trying to, what
you're trying to do with thispodcast.

I think I'm trying to help people through nugget
each podcast.
So if somebody can walk awaywith one little nugget of change
or an aha moment, I think that'swhat I am trying to do.
Trying to help them understandthat maybe what they're going

through is normal.
And I do that personally bysharing my own experiences on
the podcast.
I think, in my opinion, it'sit's helpful when people hear
that somebody else is goingthrough it, or they can they can
resonate with that, maybe, andthink, oh, well, if she's

working on it, or if she'sworked on it, or you know, if
that was a past thing for her,maybe I can move through this
too.

SPEAKER_01 (06:22):
Yeah, when we created a mission statement for
the business, for me it wasreally important that we talk
about learning and teaching, andthat learning comes first
because yeah, everything that weteach was learned.
Everything that we try to teachis a mental experiment that went
well.

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (06:44):
An attempt to change the way I think for my own
greater happiness, my owngreater peace of mind, and then
discoveries on that journey andto share those.
And so far, you know, withclients and stuff, clients and

talks and teachings, we havereally had a positive impact on
the people that we've connectedwith, basically sharing what we
have learned.

SPEAKER_00 (07:18):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (07:19):
And you know, I we're not sitting here
pretending to be all uh gurus,all enlightened and stuff.

Not at all.
But we are, I think, unique inthat we are in pursuit of that.
We we are we're focused on everyday trying to understand
ourselves and our lives better,understand the way our mind
works, how it helps us in someways, and how it hinders us in

other ways, and understandinghow that mind gets created and
how that mind can interfere withour own happiness.
And then we try to share thatstuff.
We try to help clients with it,and we try to offer it here in
the podcast.
So the goal is to help as manypeople as possible learn how to

understand and make changes totheir own mind, which is the
lens through which theyexperience the world.
It's the it's the funnel throughwhich the world comes to them.

SPEAKER_00 (08:32):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (08:33):
It comes through your mind, comes through
perception, it comes through theinterpretation of perception.
Those interpretations can bereally habitual because the mind
is a habit-forming thing.

SPEAKER_00 (08:46):
And I think for many people, if not everybody, at
some point in their life, theyare under the belief that they
can't change their mind, thatthey're sort of stuck with
what's going on in their mind.
And I think that comes by peoplenaturally, because like we say,

(09:08):
you know, most of our thoughtsthat we think today are those
from yesterday.
And so if those thoughts areturning, turning, turning, then
if we don't know there's anotherway or that you can't change it,
or there's, you know, thepossibility, if you don't know
the possibility is there to makeincremental changes, you just

(09:31):
feel like you're under the thumbof your mind.

SPEAKER_01 (09:35):
And even when you try to change it, sometimes it
feels like you can't.
Even when you become aware ofsomething that's getting in the
way, and you want to thinkdifferently, you want to act
differently, you want to bedifferent.
It's sometimes it feelsimpossible.

(09:56):
And that's, you know, that'swhere our hypnotism really kicks
in.
So it's, and we've experiencedthat ourselves, right?
And gone to hypnosis andself-hypnosis and meditation and
sort of deep, deep, quiet mindtechniques to try to understand

(10:19):
ourselves and make changeswithin ourselves that that are
like a program.
Once the program changes, theresults are always different.
And so it's it's reallyunderstanding just how much the
mind itself and the way we useit is really the problem.

(10:41):
It's really the source of allthe unhappiness and all the
unwanted emotion and all theincredible conflict that we have
in ourselves and with others andwith the world.
You know, so this is, yeah, Imean, that's the goal, right?
The goal for us is to understandour own minds and do our best

(11:02):
with it.
Our goal in our work is to helpother people understand their
minds and do the best with theirmind.
Our goal is to help as manypeople as possible.
And we tried to get specificabout that.
So 100,000 is a big number.
And so we created the schoolbecause one-on-one in a chair is

(11:23):
useful.
But I think sometimes when Ilook at the patterns, right,
when I look at the history of myclients and I look at the
commonalities, and there aresome really strong, strong
commonalities for people.
I look at those commonalitiesand I think, well, taking some
of that stuff and putting itinto sort of pre-packaged

(11:46):
meditations and instructions,because that is just so common
across the board with myclients, I think there probably
isn't a person that can'tbenefit from that.
And so rather than go throughthe process of bringing you in
and going through the interviewand going through goal setting

(12:08):
and then diving into a programof hypnosis, which is still
great.
It's still wonderful, it's stillvery meaningful, it's still part
of what we do.
Could we put these thingstogether in sort of a
pre-recorded form to helpeverybody?
Right?

SPEAKER_00 (12:29):
Well, that's sort of, you know, along the lines of
your reframes.

SPEAKER_01 (12:33):
Yeah, that's exactly what they're meant to be.

SPEAKER_00 (12:35):
Yeah.
And we've had some greatfeedback from from the reframe
classroom in our school.
Yeah.
We're just excited to get thatoff the ground.
And we've got 35 people in theschool now, and it's just
growing a little bit each week,and people are consuming the
content and letting us know howit is.

SPEAKER_01 (12:57):
Well, other than mentioning it here, we really
haven't promoted it and it needsto be promoted, but I've been
reluctant to promote it till I Iat least get a level of content
on there that I think ismeaningful and can be the
beginning of somebody's process,and then I can catch up to them.
So it's not so much the numbersas it is the desire to be more

(13:19):
helpful.
And yeah, and I I can't imaginebeing more helpful without being
more interactive.

SPEAKER_00 (13:28):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (13:28):
Um, I I find it necessary.
I mean, it's it's nice whensomebody says, hey, that was
really helpful, thank you.
But it's useful when somebodysays, Well, I need more of this.
Or that didn't deal with that.
Or all this is doing istriggering this.

SPEAKER_00 (13:51):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (13:53):
Right.
Yeah.
You know, we we share a lot ofreframe ideas on the podcast.
And I see that as sort of thethe first fundamental step.
That's the widest reach.
That's us trying to just putsome stuff out there every day
to help people, you know, asthey approach their day.
You know, my vision is to thatpeople are sitting there in the

(14:19):
morning and thinking about theirminds and listening in to the
things we we have to say andsuggest, and to better
understand themselves, ifnothing else.
If nothing else, you know,engage their day with a better
understanding of the why theythink what they think, why they

(14:41):
feel what they feel, how thatcomes about.
And then, you know, wheneverpossible, in you know, engage
it, slow it down and even stopit, all the stuff that makes you
unhappy.

SPEAKER_00 (14:54):
Yeah, because I mean you can, you can.
It feels like you can't, butthere are those those little
moments before you, you know,dive off the diving board into
the into the emotional turmoilof life sometimes, whatever
you're going through in thatmoment.

(15:15):
And there is a moment where youcan step back.
It is possible.
And I think maybe listening toour podcast gives people a
little bit of hope that there isa possibility to do that, that
there that is possible, even ifit's just a little bit, right?
It don't don't expect, you know,oh, there's a person in a kayak

(15:39):
right out there.
I wouldn't expect somebody to bereally good at this the first
day.
I mean, gosh, we've been doingit for a long time and we're
still learning and trying anddoing our best.
But there is that that time inbetween something happening

(16:00):
around you or inside of you, andyou feeling an emotion and not
getting sucked into the emotion.

SPEAKER_01 (16:08):
Well, just understanding those processes of
your mind that guide you there,where the emotion even comes
from.
Why the emotion arises, why thethought arises.
So that goal is that the podcastcan be at least on a very broad
and superficial level, thebeginning of learning and the

(16:30):
beginning of reconsidering thatyou don't have control of your
mind.
Reconsider that you are thesubject of these emotions and
start to see yourself as havingthe opportunity to control that,
to be in charge of that, tounderstand it.

(16:51):
And then from there, it's theit's it used to be just our
practice reaching out to peopleand saying, hey, you know, like
if you want some help, we'rehere.
And that's been that's beengood.
It's been a flow, right?
Sometimes uh an overwhelmingflow, yeah, and sometimes an

(17:14):
intermittent flow.
And it's been a great learningexperience for us as hypnotists.
Because, like I said, I findthat there are a lot of things
that we all are engaged in withour mind that's not helpful.
And to learn that and see thatit's so common across our world.

(17:35):
What would you say you'velearned from hypnotizing all
these people?

SPEAKER_00 (17:40):
I've learned ways to forgiveness, and that's not just
because I was learning aboutforgiveness last night, but like
I I've felt, you know, a changewithin me when I'm taking
clients through recognitions ofwhere we sort of put ourselves
sometimes in our mind.

(18:01):
And I've learned that we are somuch more powerful than we give
ourselves credit for, or that weeven think we are.
Honestly, I keep I go back, andI know this is metaphysical
stuff, but I go back to whenwe're moving energy out of the

(18:23):
body, and this energy, we wedon't call it energy at first.
It's an emotion, it's a feelingin the body, and it's an
unhelpful feeling.
It's a it's a feeling in yourgut, right?
You're thinking about somethingand you feel it in your chest or
your throat or your head, and wemove it out, and you know, for

(18:45):
lack of a better term or word,or maybe I don't know exactly
what it is, but I call itenergy, and we take that out.
They take it out in their mindof their body and they put it
out there in front of them, andthen suddenly it's dissipated or
gone.
Like how that's amazing to me,right?

(19:05):
That tells me that we aremagical, that we are we have
these abilities that the the theclient is learning, and I'm
learning about, and I love totell the client while they're
doing it and afterwards again.
You don't need to be in hypnosisto do this, like you can do this

(19:28):
at home, you know.

SPEAKER_01 (19:30):
Yeah, like wouldn't it be an incredible skill?
Like for me, I think the impact,this is why I want to do this
stuff, to explain to everyonethat an emotion is a message,
right?
It's a message, it's it's it'syour mind telling you that
something isn't quite right,that there's a certain thing

(19:52):
going on here that needs tochange.
And instead of having anemotion, turning it into a
feeling, clinging to it, hangingon to it, hanging on to it for
an extended period of time,adding to it with more of the
same thoughts and emotions,getting it to the point where

(20:15):
it's not, it's not evenunderstandable anymore.
And it's just overwhelming, itcould be paralyzing, it could be
infuriating, it could becompletely confusing.
And to step back from that,because I just don't think
anybody teaches us this, to saythis is an emotion, this is the

(20:36):
emotion, the emotion has amessage.
That message is asking me toact, to change some condition.
And I need to do that.
And when I do that, the emotionand the feeling dissipate.
They quite literally dissipatebecause that's all they're there
for.
And then let them go, let themflow, let them just be gone.

(21:00):
It's not relevant anymore.
I understood the message, and soI don't need to hang on to this
emotion anymore.
I don't need to hang on to thisthought loop that I've put
myself in because I've brokenout of it.
And if everybody in the wholewide world was able to interpret

(21:21):
their emotions meaningfully andthen let them flow, the world
itself would be so much morepeaceful, right?
It's the emotions and the upsand the downs attached to them
that disturb our peace.
Peace only exists in our mind.

(21:41):
And when we can establish peacein our mind, we just act
peacefully in the world.
And if everybody's out thereclearing out their emotions and
not hanging on to them, notmisinterpreting them, not
misinterpreting thecircumstances that they find
themselves in.
And this is where I thinkreframes really matter.

(22:03):
We interpret what's going onaround us differently.
It's just it has such anenormous internal impact that it
changes the external world thatwe're in.
And so, you know, I rememberdiscovering this.
I remember, you know, readingfor the first time The Secret

(22:25):
Language of Feelings.
I remember for the first timereading Louise Hayes', you know,
book on ailments and dis-ease.
And I remember these experiencesthat really reframed the way I
thought of things and theabsolute shift in my overall

(22:49):
mood, in my overall comfort, inmy overall day-to-day calmness.
Right.
And so for me, like I just wantto teach this stuff.
I just want to get it out there.
I just want people to be able torecognize that for themselves.
I just want to do everything Ican to help those of us living

(23:11):
this human experience to find away to use their mind to create
peace.

SPEAKER_00 (23:18):
Yeah.
And I I believe that I believethat our our platforms, whether
it be podcast or school,YouTube, they can face-to-face
hypnosis, they can be thatcatalyst to to help people feel
better.
And I encourage, I encourageanyone listening, if you've made

I have this friend who seems tobe suffering from this, right?
I like like just put it outthere.
What could we possibly talkabout that you might find

I like to, I was saying to Les before we started
the podcast, I like to ask myclients, and I would ask you,
the listener, if you were toimagine yourself three months
out from now, what questionswould you need answered to reach
that goal of yourself, right?
What would you need to know orlearn?

(24:41):
Or even imagining the thethree-month-out self.
What does that person look like?
What do they feel likeinternally?
What are they thinking?
You know, and then we help youthrough back engineering the
process, how to get there, youknow.

SPEAKER_01 (25:00):
Yeah, to to take that from a different
perspective.
Imagine yourself five years ago.
Just go back five years and andjust be there for a while with
that old self and notice howmuch you've changed.
You've changed a lot more thanyou thought you have.
The things that are important toyou are not the same, the things

(25:20):
you're doing with your time arenot the same.
The people in your life, somehave come and gone, and some
have evolved themselves.
And this creates its own worldof conditions that can be
positive, can be difficult.
In a five-year period, there's alot more change than we think

(25:42):
there is.
And I use that analogy, youknow, you're setting your
bearing and you're headingacross the sea.
And one degree in my bearingright now doesn't seem to be
important.
But after three months oftraveling, you know, I'm a long
way from where I wantedoriginally to be, because you

(26:07):
know, that one degree ofdifference points me in a
direction that takes me hundredsof miles from the spot that I
thought I was pointed at.
You know, and it's the mind islike that.
The mind's processes are likethat.
They will just knock you offyour bearings a little bit, or
more importantly, they can keepyou constantly correcting

(26:30):
towards the bearing that youwant.
Right.
So that even though you get alittle bit off course, the
bearing can be corrected becauseyou can be aware of the thought
habits that you have, the mindprocesses, programs that are
engaged that take you off coursea little bit.

SPEAKER_00 (26:52):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (26:52):
Right.
And over a five-year period,five years from now, you know,
we might take the simplest ofreframes, right?
I am not my thoughts.
I am the thinker.
I can change my thoughts.
And in knowing that truth ofthat, and then finding yourself
possibly hundreds of times aday, saying to yourself, Well,

(27:15):
I'm not going to think aboutthat.
I want to think about this.
Or these thoughts are nothelpful.
I'm I'm moving on to somethingmore helpful.
I don't have to think this way.
Right?
Just being aware of thatmultiple times in your day can
have the impact of creating anew habit which constantly

(27:38):
corrects your bearing, so thatyou actually find yourself two
years from now with a morepeaceful mind, with a more in
control mind, a better skill atstopping negative thought loops
and moving them towards helpfulthought loops.

(28:01):
And that would be an enormousskill, right?
Like having that skill, havingthe ability to stop a negative
thought pattern and learn how toreplace it with a positive, like
that's gonna, that's gonna payback the rest of your life,
right?
And these are the kinds ofthings that that I think are
just it's it's sad that we don'tteach this kind of stuff to

(28:24):
little kids.
It's sad that for most of us,our life gets into a crisis
before we start embracing thesesimple simple ideas.
It's frustrating that nobodyseems to talk about this stuff.
And it it has such a wonderfulimpact on us.
And I, we want to talk aboutthis stuff, want to do

(28:49):
everything we can to help you,you know, rein in that
incredibly powerful thing calledyour mind and start really,
really using it for your owngood.

SPEAKER_00 (29:02):
Yeah.
I think, you know, the issuewith most of us, including
myself, is that we all want theyou know, the Amazon Prime mind,
like everything, everything wewant there the next day, right?
Every every good emotion to besuddenly there.
And you know, it it takes time,it takes some time, not as much

(29:25):
time as you would imagine.

SPEAKER_01 (29:27):
Hypnosis really could speed that up.
Oh, yeah.
That's the nature of hypnosis.
The nature of hypnosis isinstead of just being in your
conscious mind and thinking, ah,I don't like this, you take the
time to get into yoursubconscious mind and you
discover the series ofexperiences that have created a

(29:48):
belief that isn't helpful,that's causing you to make
choices that aren't helpful.
So then hypnosis is greatbecause we can go right to those
experiences.
And we can reinterpret them.
And we can see what a betterthought pattern would be.
And because you're in a thetastate, and because you're open

(30:08):
to change, and because you wantthe change more than anything
else, your subconscious mind canmake those shifts.
And then from that moment,right?
From that moment immediately,you're making different choices.
You're interpreting thingsdifferently and making different
choices accordingly.

SPEAKER_00 (30:28):
And it doesn't seem to be conscious, those choices.
What I mean by that is like manyclients, including one recently,
has come to have come to me andsaid, you know, I'm just acting
differently.
And I it's not even a thought toact differently.
It just is happening.

(30:48):
And yeah, that and then I hearduh a couple days ago they said
to me, why isn't this like whyisn't this mainstream?
Why isn't this something thatpeople are talking about?
I don't understand.
Anyway, that's a whole otherconversation.

SPEAKER_01 (31:07):
But yeah, it is.
It's it's a huge conversation.
We can have that conversation ifit interests you, right?
I think that it's worth talkingabout that which interests you.
Yeah, I've had clients who justsay to me, I don't understand
it.
Like, what happened?
I did we I had one client, wedidn't even get to hypnosis.
Yeah, we didn't even actuallyhave a session.

(31:30):
We just had a meeting, and atthe end of the meeting, he said
to me, Well, I already feel likeit's different.
And then we never had hypnosisbecause the problem was gone.
I I think that you know, the thethe way it can make such a
change in your life, you know, Icouldn't count the number of men

(31:54):
who have said to me, just don'tget angry anymore.
I just don't get angry anymore.
And and the amount of peace thatbrings them.
Because people who get angrydon't enjoy being angry.
It's not like, oh boy, I get tobe angry today.

SPEAKER_00 (32:10):
Yeah.
And you know, this is justcoming to me right now.
You've worked with people onanger.
I've recently worked with, youknow, people with anger.
Over the years, I've worked withpeople on anger, but it's recent
in my mind, so I'm thinking itnow.
It is very easy to release thepent-up anger.

(32:33):
Like that is even easier thanworking with anxiety, I feel
like.
I mean, one session and you'vechanged your reaction to things.

SPEAKER_01 (32:45):
Well, I think we can quickly in hypnosis release
emotions.

And when we can spot the trigger of the emotion, the
thing, the interpretation, themeaning we're putting on events
around us that triggers thatemotion, yeah, then we can stop
it forever.

And so it's it's really thatsimple.
I mean, it doesn't often takemultiple sessions.
And this is the stuff, you know,that we're we're working on,
that I'm working on for theschool, is to try to put
together, you know, uh shortinstructions and you know,
recorded hypnotic meditationsthat will move these reframes

into place and and make adifference.

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (33:32):
And now instead of trying to fit five clients in a
day, it's possible to help 500people in a day who sign up for
the school and listen to therecordings.
And that's the way we'rethinking.
But it yeah, but there's arelationship thing, right?
There's a the this is arelationship thing.

I I don't know that we can knoweach other's names, but we can
be connected because we have asimilar goal and we can
communicate with each otherbecause knowing that each other
is going through similarprocesses, and knowing that that
things can change, and we can beconnected, and you can ask

questions.
And I just wanna I want to bethere for your questions, and I
want you to ask them, and thenwe can begin the process through
a podcast and a new recordingand a new meditation.
We can engage the process ofhelping more people with what is

really, really unfortunatelycommon in our world.
You know, we all suffer and it'sreally common, and we can we can
be friends and allies working onthis together.
Yeah, I just really yearn formore connection with all of you

out there.

And I think that can happen in many ways through our
school.
We have we're gonna have officehours.
If you go to the calendar andhave a look, there's gonna be
question and answer groupsessions.

If I don't have an answer, youyou can be absolutely sure I'm
