And the guy replacing Fred Smooth London, Fletcher Philly and Fletch.
That's exactly right, That's exactly right. So guys, how is
your time in Madrid?
Speaker 11 (04:19):
Ben Well, we get this just got in yeah so
Satana and now we're still uh we just running on
fuels man.
Speaker 10 (04:28):
Yeah, man, you just got going this morning, like I
saw you sleeping in the hotel lobby this morning.
Speaker 12 (04:32):
Like yeah, so I so, I'm I'm hearing there's a
picture too out of me in Caroline taking a nap
on the couch and we just sold Caroline She's like,
free it, So I think she's she don't started something already,
but hey, I had to get my nap in and
I was exhausted.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yeah, it's it's a tough trip, man, it's a tough
time change.
Speaker 11 (04:50):
But I feel energized though being here at the Paul
be here doing this broadcast. Yeah, massing the broadcast here. Energized?
Speaker 12 (04:57):
Now?
Speaker 10 (04:57):
Is it because we've got a football game this week
here in I feel like that's probably one of the
reasons why you're also energized.
Speaker 12 (05:03):
Oh?
Speaker 13 (05:03):
Absolutely.
Speaker 11 (05:04):
Man, this is my first time ever experienced in the
international game. I never never played anyone, but just to
be a part of it. I was looking forward to
it as soon as it came out on the schedule.
So man, I'm pumped.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (05:17):
I was looking forward to it from the start as well.
And I think we just need one of those weeks
we get one of these weeks got to give, right,
I mean, we've been on teams where we had a little,
you know, streak of losing.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
You know, but some got to give. So hopefully this
is the week. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (05:32):
Absolutely, And so let's start with our Miami Dolphins preview,
and we're gonna start with what makes Miami's offense so dangerous.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
I think the scheme. I think the scheme.
Speaker 12 (05:42):
I mean, we know personally what that scheme is about.
You're throwing to spots. You're basically using your speed, using
the guys on the outside, using the guys in the backfield.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
To be able to beat their man, you know, beat zone.
Speaker 12 (05:56):
And then you got to have a quarterback with precision
that can throw the ball to the open guy or
just throw the ball knowing that the guy is going
to be there without really you know, seeing it clearly.
And I think that's what too of brains hit the
table a little bit. I think he's been a little
bit off this year, but I think for the most part,
man when he's on, he don't have to even look.
(06:16):
He could he could throw up blind just know that, Hey,
I got the curvers that I want.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
The guy should be here at this time, and he
let it rip.
Speaker 11 (06:22):
Yeah, you know, I would say, if you look at
him just historically, I see elements of obviously the Mike
Shanahan in the zone, the outside zone run. I see
elements of the the Mike Mark's Greatest Show on Turf,
with the shifts and the motions and the speed. And
then I also see some elements of Andy Reid with
(06:42):
the screens in the quick game and all those different
things in the misdirection. So you got a combination of
three of the best offices that I've seen probably in
the last thirty years. So it just they challenge you
in so many different ways. They challenge you horizontically, horizontally,
and they also challenge you vertically.
Speaker 10 (07:00):
I mean, that's a pretty lofty comparison. I mean you
just like again you said, those are some of the
best offenses we've seen.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
I mean, do you really feel.
Speaker 11 (07:07):
Because you y'all two both played in that that Mike
Shanahan Outside Zone run game, and that puts so much
pressure on you from a defensive standpoint because you're trying
to get to the whole stop to run, stopped to run.
Then they got those boot legs off of it, then
they got the play action passes. But they also have
(07:28):
all the misdirections stuff, the ship, the counter runs and
all the different motions and all that diff different things.
Speaker 13 (07:35):
And then from the speed element, that was what when
when I was with the.
Speaker 11 (07:39):
Greatest shown Turf, that's what they used to shock you
with the speed elements that you have all those those
three combinations of offenses, and it's a major challenge for you.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
I love that offense, man.
Speaker 12 (07:48):
We talked so much about it, man, I mean, I'm
I was kind of pissed that I got it so
late in my career. And I remember Andre Johnson talking
to me, you know, you know in the off season
plenty of season, like man, Kyles Shanahan, you know, say
you one of his favorite guys, man, and he wants
to he would love to have you as one of
his receivers with this offense. And by the time he
(08:09):
got to me, I was loan the two I got
a thousand yards the first year that was right off
of my last knee surgery, and then the next two years.
The next year I broke my hand, so that season
didn't go well. And then year year three with those guys,
I moved to the slot primarily, but I still was
able to be productive led the team and touchdowns. But
you just know, man, like you was a guy who
we used the block more, but when we needed to
(08:32):
use you in the passing game, Logan like talk to him,
talk to Fletch about how big that was for our
offense because you was an element that we when we
leaned on you, you came up big and scored a
lot of touchdowns in it.
Speaker 10 (08:44):
Off Yeah, it's an interesting thing because like in these offense,
like you have to have a full back you and
they have to be able to block edge players. They
have to be a block in space, and they have
to be really smart, right, because the system is really complicated.
Like Fletcher were doing a hit earlier and you were
talking about how they have all these perimeter runs. But
to me, when I watch them, all the targeting, so
like the way the center's pointing them, the way the
receivers blocking it are all a little bit different.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
And so all those variations require really smart.
Speaker 10 (09:08):
People and they do so much stuff on the move
and then you kind of get lost because that you
feel like they're an extension of the offensive line. And
all of a sudden, like they've got a guy in
Greg Doltchich who's like a basically a receiver who plays
tight end, who can catch a little flat route off
of play action after doing the speed motion and blocking
and blocking and blocking, he's in the pat He had
a thirty yard gain on a flat route when I
and then you got a guy you can also attack
(09:29):
the seam. So I do think like that's a big element,
is that you almost get lulled to sleep because of
the complexity and all the other stuff you're thinking about,
and all of a sudden, the tight end's open for
a big game.
Speaker 11 (09:38):
Yeah, I was I was about to ask you about
just how you see this Miami Dolphins offense with the
Mike mc under Mike McDaniel's coach, but also Ay, Kyle
Shanahan Mike Shanahan protege yea.
Speaker 10 (09:52):
So I'm gonna say something crazy right now. And so
obviously there are elements of Mike and Kyle and Sean
that he's kind of drawn from you on the floor.
There's elements there, But the one that I see to me,
they have taken the single wing high school offense right
where you have all these kind of big bodies in
tight and there's one guy off and they kind of
work all these weird batfield actions and they've applied it
(10:12):
to the spread, you know what I'm saying. So they've
taken something that's been condensed and because they have so
much speed at running back, so much beat to receiver,
so much beat a tight end, so much beat at fullback,
they're able to get to some of these kind of
funky looks where we're handing the ball to the wing
on a counteraction up the middle right, or we're handing
the ball on a jet sweep and we're leaving the
end un blocked with outside zone action away right, or
(10:33):
we get a crazy backfield action where the quarterback is.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Spinning in place to throw a drift.
Speaker 10 (10:37):
And all of those backfield principles are part of the
single wing, which is huge in Northern Virginia football. So
I think it's cool because Mike always said, like one
of the things, or Kyle always said, one of the
things that gave him the inspiration for his version of
the offense was the triple option. Really, yeah, was the
wing offense, right, And so because it all looked the same, right,
(10:59):
it all presented the same looks. You have to be
disciplined in your fits. Then all of a sudden, because
it looks so similar, you'd lose guys in coverage. And
I feel like Mike has taken that to maybe the
next level. And it's really when it's hitting, it's beautiful. Yeah,
And we'll talk about what slows it down here in
a second. But it's it's really special when you see
I'm glad since you mentioned that.
Speaker 11 (11:18):
What that offense does, it forces you defensively. Sometimes you
just have to freeze for a second. It makes you hesitant,
a little bit of confused, like you're trying to figure
out who has the football, Like where they got all
these different like quick motions, fools, speed motions, across the ball,
(11:38):
jet sweep. Sometime they give it to them, sometimes they
don't who has the football And it's just gonna that
split second of hesitancy, hesitancies. Then you're gonna nexteak. You
know you're giving up a big play.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (11:52):
Absolutely, And Okay, So people hear us talk about that
offense specifically say wow, that should be the best offensive
all time. Statistically, they've been kind of middle of the path,
and I guess the question is why what have teams
done to slow them down? I guess I'll start here.
And the thing that I noticed with this group is
they are so it's such a beautifully crafted offense that
sometimes if you just throw a wrench at it, all
(12:15):
the machinery gets tangled up, right, so they have all
this perimeter run.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
They can't a couple things. One they can't run right at.
Speaker 10 (12:22):
You, or they don't run right at you right and
so again, when you're on a perimeter and some linebacker
just runs through the a gap makes the guard bubble
a little bit, you lose the hat to the perimeter
of the corner fits the run.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
It's a four yard loss. So I think there's that
element to it. It's so well designed that any kind
of variation to it disrupts it. And then the other
thing is they lost Tyreek Hill.
Speaker 10 (12:41):
They've lost some of the verticality of the offense, and
so you do see teams playing them pretty flat across
the back because most of the stuff they're doing is
trying to stretch you horizontally to beat you vertically, and
they don't have that. They don't have that pitch. I
say that, but you know, Wattle catches that it's supposed
to play last week versus the Bills for a touchdown.
But that's to me is what I see Fletch.
Speaker 11 (13:02):
Now, that's a you're right about that, But I also
think two h is the key good and bad. How
too it goes. I think a lot of that determines
how good this offense is. He'll turn that football over
he'll take some chances. Where I was reading where he
had in this you'll love this. I think he had
eight eighteen turnover worthy play that you always get.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
Me about that.
Speaker 10 (13:25):
Yeah, you're last time, last time on the show we
were on the broadcast, I said, oh, we had turnover
worthy plays, and fleutch, I don't care about that.
Speaker 13 (13:31):
And here is well, these are legit sometimes turnover.
Speaker 11 (13:36):
I watched him in all eighteen will turnover turning over
worthy plays, and I think he has what like fourteen interceptions,
So he's gonna he's gonna take chances. Sometimes he'll throw
it into tight he'll throw it into the tight windows. Yeah,
he'll throw it in the double coverage, and the ball
may sail on him. He'll take chances, and he is
and uh, he'll throw blindly and and next thing you know,
(13:56):
he's turning the football over.
Speaker 13 (13:58):
So that part also has a hap.
Speaker 10 (14:00):
This offense, I think that's the I'm sorry, I'm gonna
hit this real quick, Tannel. Like one of the things
about him too. And you said this in your initial breakdown, Tanna,
is that to in this In this offense, Kyle asks
you throw to a spot a lot, and quarterbacks that
are successful for him do that like brock Perty has
been very successful at that. Sam Darnold. Obviously O'Connell is
a version of this offense too. Tua will do that almost.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
To a fault. Yeah, he believes he trusted.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
He has thrown that to a spot, come hell or
high water, and it leads to some issues.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
I think that's what it leads to.
Speaker 12 (14:29):
And that's one of the reason why I say he
a throat blind blindly this thing and like, Okay, what
I saw pre snap red is gonna be there. And
that's why you have to show him different looks, show
him something early because n time out of team him.
You give him enough pressure in his lap and make
a move. He gonna think is still there and he's
gonna throw it shooting. He's gonna shoot his shot saying
that make me right, you know, and I'm wrong or
(14:49):
not make me right, receiver or whoever it may be
he's thrown to.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (14:53):
So I think that's again kind of a good overview
of the offense. I think I want to just touch
on here as the two playmakers in my opinion we
mentioned the tight end, they're very good. Yeah, they're they're
maybe not heralded names, but they're good in this offense.
Obviously the receiving group is a little bit banged up.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
But you have Waddle who with one tight end just
got back to playing.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
What his name, I gotta check the roster.
Speaker 12 (15:12):
I'm not sure if he's he's down or up this year,
the one who had Sefton's abuse.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
Oh, he actually is injured. He's on in Okay.
Speaker 10 (15:20):
Yeah, So Darren Waller came back. He looked amazing for
three or four weeks, then is out now go out again? Yeah,
but yeah, the guys that are replaced some mar Greg
Dulcic and Hayden Rick and so both those guys are solid,
but not world beaters. To me, it's Jayalen Wattle is
the guy that really makes the passing game go. And
we got to talk about Devon a change man like
he is. I mean he has shades. I said this
(15:42):
year earlier Fletch. Of these top five backs in the.
Speaker 12 (15:45):
NFL, John Johnson, Taylor, Uh, you got Henderson like all
those It's like it's mite five or six backs that
has the same makeup, And I think you got to
throw a chain in there with those guys, like he
had the same makeup might not have the same production
when to come up to what's been going on this year,
but if you allow him to be effective, he can
he can burn you, just like how we've seen.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Some of the mother guys burned teams.
Speaker 13 (16:08):
So they're running back coach Eric Studisville for the Dolphins.
I know him very well. He was he was in Buffalo.
Great guy, he played, he coached there in Buffalo. Long
time runners.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
He's been around the block then a little bit.
Speaker 13 (16:23):
Yeah, Yeah, he's a hell of a coach.
Speaker 11 (16:25):
We played the Dolphins maybe four or five years ago,
and I don't know if it was a preseason or
regularly two years.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
We play him three years ago.
Speaker 13 (16:35):
In DC.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Yeah, they ran about three hundred points in the first half.
Speaker 13 (16:39):
Sophie.
Speaker 11 (16:41):
I remember I was talking to Eric before the game
and I was just asking about his running backs and
he said, fletch.
Speaker 13 (16:49):
Watch.
Speaker 11 (16:49):
I want you to watch a chain. You know, he's like, man,
watch this kid. And he told me, he's like, watch
all the different ways we utilize him. And he was
talking about just in the passing game as a runner
and all those dynamic things. And now you fast forward
to today in this current situation, and he's doing all
(17:09):
of these different dynamic things. He's their lead running back now.
I think back then he I don't think he was
the league guy moster so now he's their league guy.
Explosive as a runner, but they also get him the
ball in the passing game for three to two, four
to three speed feels like he's faster than that. Yeah,
(17:30):
but he plays a lot bigger what he is. He
breaks a lot of tackles. So he's a guy that
you you have to deal with, I think. I think
really when you look at this offense, he's the one
you have to take away first.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (17:42):
And to that point, Fletch, Like, he has seven hundred
and eight yards rushing, he's averaging five point five yards
to carry, He's got five touchdowns, He's got three hundred
and twenty five yards passing, averaging six point six yards
of reception, Like that's nothing the like, and he's over
a thousand yard Like what is that net scriberge yards?
Speaker 4 (17:58):
All purpose yards? And it's you know, midway through the season.
Speaker 12 (18:01):
Yeah, I mean, he's one of those guys that I
also could say that it was last week was really
got him going, you know what I mean, Like he
did some things throughout this year leading up to last week,
but last week was the game that was like, oh,
you know what I mean, if he's hitting on that cylinder,
then that offense could be a little you know, be
some trouble. So you have to find a way to
(18:23):
slow him down. I think, I think, I think, don't
get me wrong, Tours is the head. He's the head,
but you also have a guy like him that if
you get him going, and if you see some of
the things that we allowed to be effective with some
of my other opponents. Like I'm sure people watch film
they saw John and saw Jon get out there in
the slot and do some things. He has the same makeup.
Like I said before, he can do the similar you know,
(18:46):
he could play. He can play just like b John
and those guys. So I know Mike McDaniel's being that
he was my receiver coach one day, I mean once
upon a time before and just knowing that offense and
what they can do with different bias. You know how
the's the move guys around and show you a look
that they saw you saw it. They'll show you a
look that they showed you before, but with a whole
different guy being you know, being the guy that they're
(19:09):
going to throw the ball to. So it's just one
of them things. Man, they got a lot of playmakers
out there. I think two of them that's the most
important is Wadle and my man a chain. And then
like I said, you cut the head of the snake
and everybody.
Speaker 13 (19:20):
Let me ask you this, Tad.
Speaker 11 (19:22):
I know you probably I don't know how much you've
studied Waddle, but it seems like he's developed more as
a receiver. I don't know if it's because treek Hill
is not there and they're utilizing anymore, but.
Speaker 13 (19:34):
I feel like he's gotten a lot better as a
wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
You know, I think you know to me, I haven't
watched him a lot.
Speaker 12 (19:40):
I watched him at times, yea, And this year you're
seeing a little more from him because they who has
to have, you know, they need him. He has to
show his work really now because he can't hide behind Tyree.
And I think when Tyree got there, he kind of
overshadowed him a little bit because I feel like he
was capable of doing what he's doing now before he
has some great years where I think, second to Tyreek,
(20:01):
he put up a thousand or two you know, you know,
two years since Tyreek been there.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
But he's just he's a guy like he can he
can burn you.
Speaker 12 (20:11):
He can burn you, he can take the top off,
he could burn you between the you know, between the hashes.
Like he's one of those guys that he can catch
any in every pass that they throw to him.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
I've seen h run a lot of those drift routes.
Speaker 12 (20:22):
He's the drift guy, you know how when we had
Caldum here you know me Perr I mean basically all
us ran drifts. But for the most part, I see
him and Tyreek sharing him. But right now Tyreek is
down so waters they drift guy. Man, you can't let
him get going. You gotta be you gotta be. You
gotta be real tight and sticky on him and and
affect him at the line of scrimmas because you let
(20:43):
him get going.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Man, it could be a long life.
Speaker 13 (20:44):
I'm just looking at it.
Speaker 11 (20:45):
He got three one thousand yard seasons, yes, yeah, he
had thirteen fifty six and uh, what's that twenty two?
Speaker 12 (20:53):
How many years he played with Tyreek? Because I said, like,
since Tyreek been there, he had like one or two
of them. So I'm not I'm not sure if he
had the first one before Tyree.
Speaker 13 (21:01):
Yeah, you might that might be. That might be the case.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Yeah, he's been very productive though.
Speaker 10 (21:04):
He reminds me a little bit of Smith from Philadelphia,
that kind of slender body type but pretty sharp.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
A little bit more vertically fast than Smith, but a.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Little compact too.
Speaker 12 (21:14):
Like he's not a tall guy, you know what I mean, Like,
so he's like a he's like a bottle rocket a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
I mean, he's one of those guys, like I said.
Speaker 12 (21:21):
Before, you could give anything hitch slip screens, you know
what I mean, You name it, and the guy can
take it the distance.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
Now he can run, so Fletch given him that.
Speaker 10 (21:29):
We've just talked about all their weapons and kind of
the what this offense is, Like, how do you what's
the expectation for Dan Quinn in his first time calling
the defense, you know versus here's.
Speaker 11 (21:41):
The thing that I feel like, it's d Q. You know,
he's not going to be the defensive coordinator. And this
it's not just about calling plays I'm imagining. I'm assuming
that he's also in the meeting rooms presenting the defensive
game plan to the defense and saying and hey, especially
like first second down You'll have different guys that present
(22:04):
third dollars and reds on all the coaches. That's kind
of how it goes. But maybe it may be a
guy who presents first and second down. But as far
as the total game plan, that's DQ, Hey God, this
is what we're gonna do. This is who they are,
this is what we're gonna do.
Speaker 13 (22:18):
But I'll say a lot of it may be him
focusing on us and the things we need to do better.
We have to be disciplined. That's the one thing that
I think if you look at the ten games we
played all year long, we haven't.
Speaker 11 (22:37):
Been disciplined in whether it's discipline and coverage coverage with
our eyes, our responsibilities, or in the run. Discipline in
your gap and where you're supposed to, where you're supposed.
Speaker 13 (22:48):
To be your run fits.
Speaker 11 (22:50):
And also attention to details, whatever those small details are,
and these these aren't they're small details, but they're big.
And if I'm supposed to have our side leverage on
a certain call, having outside leverage on a certain call,
I'm supposed to if I'm supposed to be the butt
kent guy being that boton ktang guy, not chasing things
(23:11):
down a lot of scripts, so just really probably maybe
a greater emphasis on the details and the discipline. That's
what I think DQ's probably would probably be emphasizing the most.
Speaker 13 (23:20):
And they're tackling better.
Speaker 12 (23:22):
Yeah, and and like I iterated, you know earlier, the
day was, it's a little different. It's a different it's
a big difference when as a player you have that
head coach now coaching that team or that room, you
know what I mean. Like I remember at times, I'm
not sure, yeah, yeah, we was all here together. I'm
(23:42):
not I'm not sure if you was here. But at
one point when we knew our coaches are going to
be fired, and then they showed Bruce Allen and said, okay,
everybody playing for their job, it almost seemed like that
right now, and we had a point of no return
where the head coach is taking over. We ain't doing
our job, and that's what Now he got something to
say to it, so we don't show up or do
(24:03):
what he's he's implementing, then we definitely gonna be here
next year. So to me, I think that's what I'm
more so you know, thinking about when I'm hearing that.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Dan Quinn's gonna be taken over.
Speaker 12 (24:15):
But I'm also intrigued to seeing that can we patch
up some of them holes that we've seen in our defense.
I think we've seen some holes, and it's you know,
it's kind of odd to me that it may be
you know, miscommunication or maybe just guys trying to play
hero at times, trying to do too much more, do
more than what they see, or do more than what
they kind of already you know, went over with the
(24:38):
you know, with the teammates, because we talked about plenty
of times of these guys talking to each other and
letting each other know that hey, I got you, you
got me, and then you see something else doing done
once they hike the ball. So I'm just very intrigued
to see what's going to happen, man, just knowing that
now Q is there and he's at the Ham, he's
going to take over this thing.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
How these guys show up and show out for him?
Speaker 10 (24:56):
Yeah, And I really think for me it comes back
to boy basically both of you us as have said
that it's gonna happen. Whatever correction is going to happen,
is going to happen in the week of practice. It's
not gonna happen in how we call. I mean there
might be some more consistency or more experience than the
way he calls the game because he's done it for
a really long time. But to me, it's the stuff
that we've seen on film, Fletch. It's can we fit
this run with the correct leverage? Can we communicate this
(25:18):
bunch and coverage if we're in cover two, can we
relate to the correct people in nerd coverages?
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Right?
Speaker 10 (25:23):
And so that to me is walk through film room,
getting that stuff done in practice at a high level.
And again, so like I think getting out here maybe
for this week, we'll allow the guys to focus a
little bit on the football stuff.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
And I think that's that's really what's gonna take to
beat this offense.
Speaker 11 (25:38):
And being out here this week, it also you're gonna
spend more time with each other off the field, And like,
we got great chemistry because we're we're able to hang
out with each other off the field, and you know,
we we bust balls with each other and all.
Speaker 13 (25:54):
That type of stuff.
Speaker 11 (25:55):
But I know, so if we're on the field together,
I mean, you two guys played together on offense, but
and I bus Fred's balls all the time. But because
we have that type of relationship, I also knew what
Fred was going to do on that football field because
we had chemistry. I'll say this one of it's not untrue,
So I would say this the thing that you want
(26:18):
to see. You want to see the dudes be consistent,
like play in and play out. We haven't been like,
we'll get it. We'll get a team to we'll stop
their first down run or stop their first down pass.
We'll get them the second along, and then we'll give
up eight yards on a on a run play or
pass play because it wasn't something they necessarily did. Is
(26:41):
because maybe we didn't fit the run correctly, or maybe
we dropped too deep in in a zone, just a miscommunication.
So hopefully just fine tuning that is where that's how
you win. Just win that particular down, be more consistent
and and and do that play in and play out.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
And I don't feel like they need to be perfect.
Speaker 10 (27:04):
I'm not saying that, but we just need to be
in a place where we can play complimentary football and
we can support the defense, or the defense can support
the offense, the offense can support the defense, and the
special teams can elevate the way. Honestly they've been doing
the past couple of weeks.
Speaker 11 (27:17):
Last thing on that and here's the big key, because
I've been on a defense where I've shared this on
a player club. I haven't shared this on Command Center
ninety nine defense were when I went to RAMS, we're
top five defense, top ten of a lot of categories.
The next year we're pretty much the same guys. We're
(27:38):
like like thirtieth and bottom of the league and a
lot of categories.
Speaker 13 (27:42):
And what was happening. Guys are trying to do too much.
Speaker 11 (27:46):
And then also we would give up a big play
in a game the next week where we're like, Okay,
we're gonna play better defensively, and then all it felt
like everything was on top of the pressure and so
we couldn't get past that play.
Speaker 13 (27:59):
We just gave up.
Speaker 11 (28:00):
Let's just move forward. So mAb's gonna make some players.
They got, they got offensive, they got explosive players. They're
gonna make players. Hopefully they don't, but that's the reality
of the NFL. You can't let that one explosive play
kind of snowball, and then you get into the mindset of, oh,
here we go again.
Speaker 13 (28:18):
You got to be out there. Okay, let's play the
next play.
Speaker 12 (28:21):
I think our problem too, it's been wants to play
occurs now everybody's trying to make a play and strip
the ball.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
No, make the tackle. That play has already been made.
You can't save it. You can't.
Speaker 12 (28:32):
You can't make up for what you've already you know,
say allowed to happen, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
So now just make the tackle.
Speaker 12 (28:38):
And that's what I'm hoping too with with Q like, look,
if they make a play, fine, let's live to see
the next day.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
No, that's not sit here trying to you know, punch
at the ball.
Speaker 12 (28:49):
And then get a guy ten to fifteen more yards
and maybe, you know, maybe a score wins. You could
have tackled them and say yourself, now to see another down.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Yeah, I couldn't agree more. So we're gonna take our
first break right here. We got our ad.
Speaker 10 (29:02):
We got to pay the bills, as Fred like, So
I'm gonna ask you, because you're the guests, right.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
I'll fix it.
Speaker 13 (31:12):
Well, yeah, I need that fun figure all right.
Speaker 10 (31:16):
So now let's talk about the offense a little bit, right,
and let's start about with our guy Marcus Mariota. Oh yeah,
I think some good things right, look pretty good. And
against this uh Anthony weaver leed defense, he's gonna have
to play well in order for them to win.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
So what if you see from him? And we canna
talk a little bit about the back.
Speaker 13 (31:33):
I'll tell you what I think. I mean.
Speaker 11 (31:38):
You can argue maybe San Francisco with with a rock
party and Mac Jones, maybe they have a better want
to punch a quarterback. But I really love our our
quarterback situation. You would love to have Jaden out there playing.
But Marcus, in my opinion, in every game that he started,
he has played like a starting quarter back. And there
(32:00):
are multiple teams that he can start for in the
National Football leag He just happens to be playing behind
the right the rookie of the year. But I'll say this, Marcus,
he excels in this type of office to spread offense
to his own, read the RPOs and those type of things.
I feel like he's because he's a ten year VT.
There's not a defense that he hasn't seen, so pre
(32:22):
snap and post snap, changing his coverages and all that
he already knows. It's almost like he's reading the coverages
that he's in. This drop back boom, it's a quick grid. Hey,
I know I'm going with the football the shot down
the field. If I'm called play action, I see this
linebacker come off on a dig. I got one on
one with Jared with Laye on the safety. Let me
(32:42):
give him opportunity. So I really like the way the
offense has functioned with Marcus Marioda at the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
He's been superb.
Speaker 12 (32:51):
I mean, don't get me wrong, that's not leading leading
us into victory, but to come in and say, we
need to answer right now, we need to We need
an opportunity, We need a chance to be able to
go out here and compee at a high level. He's
given us that chance. He's given us an opportunity. Like
I just told him today. Man, Look, it's it's something
(33:13):
about when you become a veteran. You know, we've all
had them experiences. When you get up there in them years,
things slow down tremendously. I saw it in Jason Campbell
when he left us and went over to Oakland. You
see it in so many of these other quarterbacks. You
see Flocco, he's on his twentieth ront. I'm just throwing
numbers out there, but I mean, like, it slows down
tremendously for you. And that's what I can see with him,
(33:34):
man Like the way he can really be effective for
what we do offensively.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Man Like, he just he just fits the mold. He
fits everything. That we want from our quarterback.
Speaker 12 (33:46):
And that's why I say when we first heard the
Marcus coming in, I think all of us had like
our eyes like is this a solution for to say
he's a start up before we get this guy up
to speed or like what is it? But we don't
we I don't think we all knew how much this
offense was gonna fit him.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
You see what I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (34:05):
And I think as many stops I've seen him at,
I haven't seen him players player as good as he's
played here. But also you got to credit dan Quinn
Cliff and all those guys, and then just the offense itself.
What I want to see more so, more than anything
from this offense, just to allow him to be that
guy for it. I think he can be that guy.
But we have to take advantage of opportunities when they're given.
(34:29):
I need to see guys blocking, making sure they know
that look, man, I got a quarterback that's more than
capable out here to lead.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Us to victory.
Speaker 12 (34:35):
I need to see guys on the outside hungry, like,
look we joking around and say somebody need to step up.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Naw, somebody got a step thro you. You cannot I
need to go out there.
Speaker 12 (34:43):
And if you can't go out there and take advantage
of this opportunity, if you being the receiver and having
that starting roll on that starting opportunity.
Speaker 11 (34:50):
Think about this, Logan, when you got your opportunity your shot?
Are you an undrafted guy? I was undrafted. We got
you and I got similar stories, but you're ab than me,
though the same But yeah that's true, but but no
similar situation in terms of you have prepared to where
(35:10):
I'll tell you this, Logan, this guy used to always
he would be the scout team tight end.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yeah, he would.
Speaker 11 (35:17):
He would go study the teams tight end that we're
that we're playing, that we giving me great looks.
Speaker 13 (35:22):
And he's tried everything he care to beat me. I mean,
you got me.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
I heard those stories like it was every time.
Speaker 13 (35:30):
I can feel Logan like I'm gonna beat this. But
Logan didn't know I had all this more. I hadn't
shown him yet.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
It was always funny ask him. I'd be like, hey, Fletch,
like what about this? And he tell me something.
Speaker 11 (35:41):
I wouldn't tell me everything, tell him every team because
he was asked me. He would even ask me about
other receivers. You used to ask me about Jason Wick
all the I think Witt was the main one you
ask me about.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
He played them twice a year.
Speaker 11 (35:52):
R Right, So, but you prepared yourself so when you
got your opportunity, you ran with it. You're like, I'm
not giving this back. Yeah, And that's to Tanner's point, like, man,
we got some guys banged up. Whatever, this is my opportunity. Yeah,
when Terry comes back, when no one comes back. And
you know, I may not be a starter, but I
(36:12):
can I've carved out a role to where I should
be on the field play.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
These guys have to These guys have to make the
coaches not give them the ball. You know what I'm saying,
force them not to give me the ball.
Speaker 12 (36:26):
If they not give you the ball, then we we
that piss poor because if you out there, they should
have plays to say, look, we gotta throw at this guy.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
They're gonna give us this matchup.
Speaker 12 (36:35):
We have to throw and make sure we can get
And that's why I'm saying, like I was so intrigued
to see us do that last week, Like I love
the fact that we had guys go out there on
the outside because to see that I feel like that
was going to help the run game, but we got
so far behind when it comes to keeping. We had
to get you to a pass happy offense, which you
don't want to see that. You want us to be
(36:57):
as balances as we can be, or or like I said,
be or you know, if we have a great rhythm
going rather it's run, rather it's past, whether it's quick pass,
whatever it may be. We just got to get in,
you know, get in a good flow. And I don't
think we was able to do that when we got
so far behind. But I just need to see those
guys on the outside, whoever it's gonna be lane, you know,
whether it's gonna be chosen like all those guys you
(37:21):
talked about Senning like we need eating and everybody who
could catch the ball man and the step up this week.
Speaker 13 (37:27):
Man, I hate that Burke is not gonna be able
to play. Man he was.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
It's a short.
Speaker 10 (37:32):
It sounds like it's not a serious line should be
back maybe hopefully after the bottom.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
It just shows us how what we've been going through.
Speaker 12 (37:38):
Yeah, I mean, whoever, so let me say this, whoever
we ticked off last year and they put a voodoo
doll out on us I apologized.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
For I don't know what somebody. Somebody put an X
on us man.
Speaker 10 (37:53):
So yeah, I think that's a great point about the
outside guys. You really just want to see someone grab
that opportunity and take it. The thing I want to
say about Marcus, I think this week his experience is
going to be really important because this Anthony Weaver defense
is tricky. You know, it kind of reminds me of
the offense that they're you know, like Miami defense is
all tricky and smokes and mirrors.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Like this Anthony Weaver thing.
Speaker 10 (38:12):
It's like, here's a fire zone, here's a replacement of
the fire zone, here's a simulated foreman pressure, here's a
fore man overload. And he just kind of brings him
at funny times and he's got a good feel for it.
And you could tell last week it really disrupted Josh Allen.
So I do think that this week with Marcus, it's
important that experience to kind of say, hey, I study film,
I understand this is what he's trying to do.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
This is when he likes to make this call.
Speaker 10 (38:35):
And the other thing is it comes down to Cliff,
and so I look at Cliff and what he did
last week, and it really is like Cliff trying to
cook Michelin Star meals yeah, with you know, different ingredients, right,
So we're talking about that with the receivers, but it's
also true for the entire offense.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
Right.
Speaker 10 (38:50):
So I look at last week Fletch and Tanna and
I say to myself, I gotten more thirteen personnel, that
that was the right thing to do. It helped him
beat man coverage, It got the lad Lions more on
his own, they able to get more player should pass.
What are the ingredients this week that we're going to
see from this group and Cliff specifically to get this
offense cooking against uh Anthony Weaver and the Dolphins.
Speaker 12 (39:10):
Well me, I mean, I mean to me, I think
what we saw last week when we started the game
off with you know, Rodriguez, I think we need to see.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
I'm sorry, but is he playing like the injury report.
Speaker 13 (39:22):
I didn't look at the report today because the President
he's here, but.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
He'd heard that.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
I heard.
Speaker 12 (39:27):
I heard it on the report too, But I feel
like I've been hearing him. He was on the report
the whole year almost. I'm so tired of I'm so
tired of seeing guys on that report. Man, I'm just
saying that you in the game, Rodriguez. I mean, they
should just talk to me. You know how many times
I was on the report.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You gotta play.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
You're different, man, But I want to see you.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
I want to see our run game be effective.
Speaker 12 (39:55):
I really, I really want to see us not go
out there and get so far behind what we can't
do what we want to do offensively. You know, people
give I guess you could say, Cliffs so much flak
about not seeing certain things or not seeing you know,
the offense that they was promised to see.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
But they don't understand the standing the game and the
flow of the game.
Speaker 12 (40:18):
How when you get you get behind, you can't go
in your bag and reach in there and try to,
you know, make some of these things happen. So I
just want to see us to be able to come
out and go toe to toe with these guys. I
want to see us to be able and say, okay,
you know, maybe we can get a score for score
or score and stop them so we can stay stay
sterned to what we want to do offensive.
Speaker 10 (40:36):
Stay in our rhythm, right, And I think about You know,
Marcus has done a great job. This offense is don
a great job, and I really think the evolutions each
week have been great. Plus I think the one thing
that I would point to is can they be more
efficient on third downs? Like that's randible to change because
like one of the things you talked about is like
can we possess the football offensively?
Speaker 4 (40:54):
We've talked about this every week. Yeah, to insulate the defense.
Speaker 10 (40:57):
Like it's one of the things that I think this
offense is so well as your third down percentage was
crazy high, fourth down conversion was percentage percentage was crazy high,
so the defense didn't have to go out and win.
Speaker 4 (41:07):
All the time. And now it's kind of flip floor.
No one's supporting the other side.
Speaker 13 (41:11):
So I would say this one week, you get one
part of being a fishing on third downs third downs is.
Speaker 11 (41:19):
Being affishing on first and second down to where you're
you're not behind the six you mentioned on the Booth review,
a three yard run on first down is not a
bad thing because second and seven, you still have a
lot of different things in your in your play sheet,
like you can still call another rum.
Speaker 13 (41:39):
You got the RPO game, you got the quick game.
Speaker 11 (41:42):
You got all those different things, but now you're second
and eight plus more than likely you're gonna be throwing
the football. So now there's no run element aspect of it,
because as you look at last week's numbers we have,
it's like three point three per carry.
Speaker 13 (41:56):
But I like the volume twenty seven carries. I'm okay.
Sometimes it might have to be three yards in a
cloud of dust.
Speaker 11 (42:03):
Yeah, and it might be three three point three, three
and a half, I mean three and a half the
first down, three and a half a second down. You
know what, Now I'm in third and three, the percentages
go way up. Trying to convert third and threes over
third and four. Third and fours or third and threes
as opposed to third and six is third and seven pluses.
Speaker 13 (42:26):
It's just a different, different element.
Speaker 11 (42:28):
And now you're dealing also with you mentioned the Anthony Weaver,
the defensive coordinator, and all these different type of pressures
and how they're overwhelming and dealing with your protection plans.
So being effective on first and second down that's going
to be the key for them to operate, and being
able to pick up those third and third down situations.
Speaker 4 (42:49):
That is a fantastic point and now we're gonna bring on.
We're gonna we got a segment for you guys.
Speaker 10 (42:55):
Let's ride no I blow no a blah Espanol and
we got one in this there are Spanish badcast tingers.
Speaker 4 (43:01):
So guys, you want to sit down? Come?
Speaker 13 (43:04):
Do we have to answer these questions in Spanish?
Speaker 9 (43:07):
Because we're gonna give you.
Speaker 13 (43:09):
I gotta be plus in Spanish.
Speaker 4 (43:10):
And I don't believe that for one second. We're gonna
give you.
Speaker 14 (43:13):
We're gonna give you a phrase and in Spanish, and
it's gonna be a verb, and you're gonna have to
first guess what it is, what it means in English,
and then you're gonna have to attach that verb to
a player in this game that that needs to happen
for that player.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
I like you, I like you.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
My name is Spanish. I don't know Spanish, but.
Speaker 4 (43:38):
I should be good at this.
Speaker 13 (43:39):
But who's in Ohio?
Speaker 5 (43:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (43:43):
I think I'm in trouble unless I can some help.
Speaker 8 (43:46):
He knows his poppy from Miami.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Look what does it mean.
Speaker 13 (43:55):
That used to say that so much?
Speaker 3 (43:57):
I mean, I mean up.
Speaker 10 (43:59):
Also, I do all the swear words from soccer when
I played, because you know, play girl playing soccer, so
a lot of a lot of swear words. Yeah, so
then I got all of them.
Speaker 8 (44:08):
My boy, that's my boy, right there, let's go.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
Okay, so we go.
Speaker 15 (44:12):
So we're gonna talk about this because we've been we've
been uh speaking with the producers and they wanted to
do this. So a couple of words that we wanted
to get your input in. The first one was bamosos
You don't know that ron move?
Speaker 4 (44:29):
Is that how you pronounce it?
Speaker 5 (44:30):
Though?
Speaker 4 (44:30):
With like bamos move?
Speaker 15 (44:34):
Yes, what it would the definition would be something along
those lines that ma moos. What do you think it
translates to? If you had to say it in English?
Go baby go, let's go, let's go. Defense, that's what
we need.
Speaker 9 (44:48):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
I feeling who needs to go?
Speaker 4 (44:51):
Who needs to go? Who needs to really step up
the defense? You can't say everybody.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
You want me want individual.
Speaker 13 (44:59):
Play the individual?
Speaker 4 (45:00):
Uh?
Speaker 13 (45:02):
Who needs to go? Man, I'm gonna say Jacob Martin.
Speaker 14 (45:08):
Oh I like that defensive end? Yeah right, he's been
two games without a sack right for for Washington, ye.
Speaker 13 (45:14):
Two consecutive games with outside two against Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
But now we're going I pick Frankie Louver.
Speaker 4 (45:22):
Oh, I like that.
Speaker 12 (45:23):
I need Frankie Louver to flash man. I need I
need to see that task many in devil that we
saw all last year. Don't get me wrong, he's he's
been trying. I think it's you know, where they have
him at. This year has been a lot different than
what we saw last year. But uh, and like Logan
alluded to it last week, he had some leading to
that game last week. He had a pretty productive game
the week before. So I really want to see him flash.
(45:43):
I think we get him flashing, get him in the backfield,
tackles full loss, you know, you know, batter down balls,
get an interception, like he has a way of getting
making plays that you don't expect him to make.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
I want to see him flash, see him going definitely.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
Yeah. So for me, I'm gonna cheat. I'm gonna say.
I'm gonna say, dan Quinn, we gotta go man, we
gotta go man, we gotta kick call this offense.
Speaker 10 (46:05):
Like, actually the office is motivated, Tennis said, like the
now that the principals teaching the classroom, we gotta be disciplined,
locked in and hopefully this.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
Defense gets going because dan Quinn is locked in and
calling the swing thing the way he needs to.
Speaker 9 (46:16):
All Right, I think that's that's definitely what we're thinking.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Right name.
Speaker 4 (46:20):
Yeah, you guys got a name too, Jamie Reeves.
Speaker 8 (46:22):
Okay, when he goes, everyone goes.
Speaker 4 (46:25):
Okay, I need a big hit.
Speaker 5 (46:27):
I like that.
Speaker 9 (46:29):
I love it for me. I gotta say needs to
play and he needs to.
Speaker 14 (46:35):
I think the offense goes as far as he goes
him and uh, the rotation in the beginning of the
season and the running back I think it was when
the offense was clicking more.
Speaker 13 (46:45):
That's nice.
Speaker 8 (46:45):
I like Chris Rodriguez is like their generation Puerto Rica.
Speaker 4 (46:49):
Really read that. I well, I don't read.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
No Spanish.
Speaker 4 (46:57):
I read.
Speaker 9 (46:57):
I read about that, all right.
Speaker 14 (46:59):
I got another word for you guys in the verb.
It's actually a phrase. It's two words. Memoria.
Speaker 13 (47:05):
Oh, I don't know about that.
Speaker 10 (47:06):
I'm gonna say. Memoria's gotta be like memory or something, right, Okay,
the game. He'd be so smart for courters. I don't
know what you say, memorial So smart mind, smart mind?
Speaker 13 (47:19):
No football, nobody that would be football.
Speaker 14 (47:25):
Yeah, So memoria Corta is uh short memory? Who needs
to have a short memory? About what's been going on lately?
Speaker 12 (47:34):
We was in Spanish class. You look at the history
behind it, got back like, I don't know what's going on?
Short memory saying short memory? Yeah, who needs to have
short Memory's? I think to me man personally, I think
what we've been seeing going on the whole you know,
this whole season long. I think our defense, you're gonna
(47:55):
you're gonna give up some place here and there.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
That's what defenses do. But you gotta go out there
and and fight the next down.
Speaker 12 (48:01):
You got to you gotta forget about what happened the
previous down and go out there and show up the
next down. So you've seen his defense being but not
Brady plenty of times.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
Shit, you know what I mean?
Speaker 12 (48:11):
Like, we gotta get back to that kind of form
of defense. I think the opposition gonna make plays. That's
what they're here for. They gonna make plays. But you
can't let that turn into something much bigger or worse
than what it was.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
You know, Yeah, I mean I would think that.
Speaker 10 (48:24):
I hear what you said because Jason was talking to me,
But I think defense have a short memory, right, Like
make sure that we're locked in one thing at a time.
Don't let it get too big, right, and then if
we do make a mistake, keep it moving forward to
the next thing.
Speaker 13 (48:35):
So I hate to be, you know, the third person
that say the same thing.
Speaker 4 (48:40):
It's gonna be.
Speaker 11 (48:41):
That's the thing that absolutely has to be and I'm
want in particular, I'm gonna say the defensive backs they
have to have a short memory, especially at the cornerback position.
Speaker 13 (48:53):
You gonna give up plays.
Speaker 11 (48:54):
I mean, Miami, they got playmakers, so you're not gonna
totally shut them guys out. You're gonna give up a play,
But can you shut it? Can you have a short memory?
Let's play the next snap for me, I.
Speaker 14 (49:04):
Got to say at least about what's been going on
at least from the last game. Who needs to have
a short memory is Javon Kinlaw.
Speaker 9 (49:10):
I think he was rattled. He was rattled on personal foul.
Speaker 14 (49:14):
He was definitely you know, out of focus after the
personal facon like that, and his teammate got kicked off
out of the game.
Speaker 13 (49:19):
You've been thinking.
Speaker 9 (49:21):
Right now, he's a real one, right who came up
with that one?
Speaker 12 (49:25):
He got?
Speaker 4 (49:26):
Somebody?
Speaker 3 (49:27):
Did you steal it?
Speaker 4 (49:33):
Heard?
Speaker 3 (49:33):
Heard?
Speaker 8 (49:34):
I would say, how about Jayden Lamb?
Speaker 4 (49:40):
Yeah, why I want him to have a long memory,
because he had a goo gamelast week.
Speaker 15 (49:45):
Talking about consistency at this point, right because we need
weapons on offense. You can't you can't afford to be
dropping balls and stuff happens. But if you're going to
be an NFL player on a consistent basis, you got
to make the catches.
Speaker 8 (49:58):
And you, more than anybody, can.
Speaker 3 (49:59):
Allude to that. You know, I mean you you hit
it dead on.
Speaker 12 (50:02):
I think I found myself in a suite couple of
times like a you can't do that because I've understand
being a young guy in this league and having a
having a tremendous talent that he has that it could
be vital for us, you know what I mean offensively,
special team wise, But when you when you on the
field on the offensive side of the ball, you can't make.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
Up for those reps.
Speaker 12 (50:25):
Once it's lost, it's lost that you ain't gonna never
get that down back. You're not gonna get that drive back.
So it's a couple of times that I know what
you're alluding to. You're talking about a couple of drops
that he had. Trust me, we don't want to be
in that situation. But sometimes it happens. Sometime it's you,
you know what I mean. Like he's a young buck,
he's a young guy still learning. You don't know how
fast that thing is turning up there from. But sooner
(50:47):
or later it has to slow down. It has to
slow down and let him know that, Hey, when we
count on you on these plays, you have to either
make the play if you don't, put it behind you and.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Make the next play. And I think he did a
couple of times.
Speaker 12 (50:56):
So I'm gonna give him a little credit because I've
have seen him come up big a couple of miscues
here and there.
Speaker 15 (51:01):
Agreed, Agreed. I just think that he has so much talent.
We will to see him shine and just get polished
as a receiver and and be the guy we think
he could be. The third the third word might be
the most difficult. I don't think you guys are gonna
I think we'll get a shot in black.
Speaker 12 (51:19):
I need my Spanish teacher. Oh Black, she would have
gave me. She would have gave me the answer because.
Speaker 10 (51:24):
She liked me.
Speaker 11 (51:25):
And it sounds like maybe it wouldn't be impossible. Oh,
I remember this one. I told you I gotta be
plus suspecs.
Speaker 3 (51:37):
See if he gets this, tell me me go, tell me,
I'll little fraid of you.
Speaker 13 (51:43):
Relentless?
Speaker 3 (51:43):
What you know what that boy know what relentless means.
That's what that's him every day all day. That's what.
Speaker 13 (51:53):
You gotta be relentless.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
And oh my god, you knew that be relentless.
Speaker 6 (52:00):
Boy.
Speaker 11 (52:00):
You can go a lot of different places. But the
pass rush, the pass rush has to be relentless. And
I'm not gonna say just one guy. I need anybody
in that game on the passing situation to be relentless.
We need relentless pressure on tour.
Speaker 12 (52:17):
Yeah, I'll say, offensive line to your sty they gotta
be relento We can just join our heads. Hey, you
know the offensive line, run game, pass game had to
be relentless. You know, we was I was asking Logan
earlier about just some of the things he saw from
his you know, film studying, and you know how he
(52:38):
feel about the line.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
And you know, they they haven't been bad, man, but
they can be better, you know.
Speaker 12 (52:43):
And I just want to see these guys get to
a point where they can trust each other and being
sync and go out there and dominate. You know, if
we're dominating up front, and that's in both sides of
the trenches, but offensive line right now, I'm talking about
we're dominating offensively up front. Then you can see our
offense where I wanted to see, like having that foe,
having that rhythm.
Speaker 10 (53:03):
Yeah, I'm gonna say Bobby Wagner because I want him
to communicate with a relentless relentlessness. I want to be
a leader in this time, in this storm. We need
him to be bring all of those intangible qualities to
the field. Like he knows Dan, he knows what Dan wants.
He could be a voice for that. Let's get that communicator.
Let's get that executed. Because if he can do that
with relentless leadership, we've got a shot. How about you guys,
what we got for me? I got Jordan McGee. Okay,
(53:25):
He's gonna have a hard assignment. He needs to be relentless,
he needs to use his speed. You're playing a very
fast paced offense.
Speaker 14 (53:32):
I think it's definitely up to him to try to
contain you know, Ahn and stuff on the outside.
Speaker 4 (53:37):
So love it.
Speaker 15 (53:39):
I'm gonna go on the other side of the ball.
I'm gonna pick Bill Crosskey Merritt. Okay, I want to
see that dog beside the beginning of the season, the
guy averaging over six yards per carry.
Speaker 8 (53:50):
We haven't seen those numbers in a couple of weeks,
but we know he has it. That's the most important.
Speaker 15 (53:54):
Thing, right, I want the rookie of the week to
come back right and show us the fact that he
belongs a lot of people rolled them off.
Speaker 8 (54:00):
I love his story. I love the underdog story.
Speaker 15 (54:02):
So I think for him, you spoke it, you put
in the show relentlessness, and it'll change a lot for
for thet.
Speaker 13 (54:10):
When I think about relentless, I like the office line.
Speaker 14 (54:13):
Man.
Speaker 13 (54:15):
I just want some fat boys just to be out
there posing their wheels on people.
Speaker 14 (54:18):
Man.
Speaker 13 (54:18):
Well you hey, listen, you have you have to watch
a game up. I know this, this this this drink
I had.
Speaker 12 (54:29):
In my life.
Speaker 11 (54:30):
Listen, think about this, especially Logan, you can really appreciate
about you got. You got just five offensive line and
tight end two three tight ends in the game, and
you are just dominating Relentless in the in the run game,
and they come into the line of scrimmage, we know
they're about to run the football.
Speaker 13 (54:50):
You know what, I'm about to run the football in
the you can do. And they come out there. They
bellies are big, they come out there. I come up
to the Primas.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
Flash backs. Hey, get them a jerseys ready to play.
Speaker 13 (55:12):
Here we are about the run the ball, relentless in
the run game.
Speaker 9 (55:18):
You want to be a swing tack on Sunday.

That's pretty good.
Speaker 11 (56:34):
It's like finding a parking spot in front of a
busy outdoor cafe in Madrid where you're meeting some old
friends from college and you're about to parallel park into
that oh so tight spot.
Speaker 4 (56:47):
Whoa, he's bringing in.
Speaker 11 (56:48):
Everyone in the cafe stops to watch, and you nail
it in one try, Like the parallel parking baller. You
are nobody clap, but you know they are really they,
You know they really wanted to yep. Switching the saving
with Gico fields just like that. Get more with Gey.
Speaker 4 (57:07):
Call Hey boy, I thought I was on rack the hair.
Speaker 3 (57:15):
I thought I was on Love Jones.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
We got one more from Tanna that was pretty good.
That was pretty good.
Speaker 3 (57:20):
Flesh, I thought I was on Love Jones. Boy that
boy got that boy got quiet.
Speaker 12 (57:25):
Another apple juice for Lord, get a big flesh off tiltered.
All right, team, listen up, the countdown is on for
the ultimate Fall showdown in the West Virginias. Ah Lee's
I switched to jerseys from green to gold. Ready to
(57:46):
light up to the hillside. If you want the best
seat in the house for the end of season, Spectacler,
it's time to hit the country roads and make your
move to West Virginia for some serious leaf peeping.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
Don't drop the ball on this one, West Virginia.
Speaker 10 (58:04):
I mean, Tanna's the undisputed champion. Just so you know,
so you're you're giving a run for his money. I
remember leave a comment who did the best reading. I'm
thinking flesh might win this morning.
Speaker 13 (58:13):
Mighty on that one.
Speaker 3 (58:15):
FLEs came out the back like you. He was ready.
Speaker 4 (58:17):
He was ready, white knuckles and everything.
Speaker 13 (58:19):
He just came. I'm we running that ball, all right.
Speaker 4 (58:22):
So now we got the fan favorite segment.
Speaker 10 (58:24):
Hell yeah, oh hell now all right, it's brought to
you by the US Army. Be tested, but not just
on paper. Be strong and more than just muscle. Be
courageous and supported by a mighty team.
Speaker 4 (58:35):
Be all you can be. Visit go Army dot com
to learn more. All right, so now we got our
Hell yeah, hell na, we'll Washington run all over the
pitch with one hundred and fifty plus yards rushing. Tanda,
why don't you start us off?
Speaker 3 (58:49):
Oh man, so spring so so I so I say this,
I say this.
Speaker 12 (58:53):
Last week it was a it was a tough outing
for Josh Allen boys, and Josh was Josh Normany is
the catalyst for you know what.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
Don't get me wrong.
Speaker 12 (59:02):
He got he got cooked back there with him, but
he normally gets the bar rolling when it comes to
that run game and get get the party started.
Speaker 3 (59:09):
They was under one hundred yards rushing.
Speaker 4 (59:10):
But it's a spread run.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
You're right, You're right, You're absolutely right.
Speaker 12 (59:14):
So in order for us to be effective this week,
I have to say hell yeah, because we have to
run the ball efficiently. And I'm gonna say, hell yea
one hundred fifty plus baby.
Speaker 4 (59:22):
All right, there we go, hell yeah. So what do
you uh wiss?
Speaker 3 (59:25):
What do you think? Hell yeah, Hell.
Speaker 9 (59:26):
Yeah, yes, hell yeah, Hell yeah.
Speaker 14 (59:29):
I'm gonna say hell yeah, because I don't know. If
you saw Cosme's U presser today, he says, asked him
if he's checked out the food. He is on TikTok
checking out all the food spots. So they're gonna be
eating good.
Speaker 13 (59:39):
In the week.
Speaker 4 (59:40):
I think run over a little heavy this week.
Speaker 13 (59:44):
Hell yeah. If you not just see what I said,
you remember, Yeah, I know, not only I mean they
have to. They got to. They got to run over.
Speaker 10 (59:56):
Yes, all right, So again, like if the quarterbacks involved,
Chris Rodriguez is involved, Bill Crosskey Merrit, it's kind of
distributed across all the things.
Speaker 4 (01:00:04):
I think that'll be great.
Speaker 10 (01:00:06):
So I'm gonna say, just because I want to be
a Debbie down, I'm gonna say hell yeah, because they
need to do that to win this football game. All right,
Will Marcus Mariota coount for three plus touchdowns?
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Hell yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:00:15):
Hell no.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
We'll start down here at this end. What do we
got the pressures on man tennant and laid up for you?
What do you think?
Speaker 8 (01:00:21):
Hell no?
Speaker 4 (01:00:21):
Hell no?
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
What a hater too? For the I like to, I
like too. We all can't agree, you know, Yeah, I
like to too.
Speaker 14 (01:00:31):
Okay, I'm gonna say hell no too, because it's gonna
be a running, a running game. It's gonna be the
running backs getting a day zone.
Speaker 12 (01:00:36):
Yeah, let me skip miss Skip London and say hell yeah,
two in and one on the ground.
Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
Okay, that's what that's. Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:00:45):
I just hate that you didn't let you didn't you
didn't see Players Club to day.
Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
I just talked to Marioda and told them how good
are you? Man? Hey, when when somebody tell you how
much they appreciate you.
Speaker 8 (01:00:55):
Yoda though, that gives you a look.
Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
No, I know you you ain't hating. I know you
ain't hating. You said that's good enough. But I just
say two in the air and one on the ground.
Speaker 12 (01:01:03):
I told him what I like about him, man, and
we all been talking about we've been gloating about his
his RPO skills, and I think this Dophense defense now
they they they they've shown theyself previously before last week.
Speaker 3 (01:01:18):
That anybody can have them. You know what I mean.
That's what I'm saying. So that's why I say two
in the air, on on the.
Speaker 4 (01:01:25):
Ground, all right, two in the air, won on the ground.
Love that, Jason, you might need to bleep that out
just sads up.
Speaker 13 (01:01:31):
I ain't I'm gonna say hey, I'm gonna say hell yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
I think hell yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:01:36):
Hell your cost for three d's all right?
Speaker 10 (01:01:38):
Actually, because he had two last week in the air.
I think he gets one of the ground in the
red zone. I think Cliff likes surround him. If we
can convert on third down possession football, get down the
low red, he's gonna get carries down there.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
He's gonna score a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
All right.
Speaker 10 (01:01:48):
Remember this is brought to you by the US Army.
They say the work, you're the work. Look, they say
your work defines who you are. Monday through Friday, nine
to five, you're clocking in. But what happens on the weekends,
what happens to your time? You could take it easy,
or you could use that time to get better. In
the US Army we think differently. Your time should be
