We are out here in Madrid for the fan.

Rally, Hurginy and goldas all around us hit with some
serious pledged Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer
Bryant So mister a to the Nine Cowboys, Killo Giants,
Slayer like London Fletcher says Santana Moss.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
And we are here in the building.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
It felt us. I mean, look around the show, crazy man.
There's not many things in life that can galvanize and
bring so many different people from so many different coaches
in a whole other country together. But brother football did that. Man,
y'all to be out here in Spain, go to be
amongst your.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Arm I'm thrilled, man.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
You know what the thing about it is like we
haven't had the best year, but these fans have supported
from start to finish. Everywhere we've gone on the road,
They've been there, and hell, you look at all the
people here right now, you know, over in Spain says
a lot about what this team, where these fans feel
about this football team. And I just think that, you know,
this thing is gonna build up. We be rolling once again.
(02:01):
Believe me.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
Man.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
I think when you think about it, this is some
of the things that I've mentioned doing that ring ceremony
for me that you know when I got got inducted
into the ring. These fans have never let me down,
you know what I mean. So it's time for us
to kind of, you know, reward them. And I'm hoping
we can get beyond, you know, get past this year
finished Stroan. But this is why we play the game,
not not not for the reasons, not only for the
(02:24):
reasons that we are already played, but for these people
man that show up and show out for us each
and every week.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Man, it's not cheap to come over here, that's not.
And we got a lot of fans over here.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Brother, there's fans from Denmark, Ireland, Scotland, London. We have
fans from all over out of the media that watch
our shows. We appreciate y'all so much for watching. We
appreciate y'all so much actually that we're putting on a special.
It's not just us street here. We got legends all
over the build along standing there over the Jakes and
Sean Springs over in the cut BC.
Speaker 7 (02:53):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
This guy. We explained right, We've had a good week,
a great week.
Speaker 7 (03:01):
And you got here's the thing. I just threw mine own,
but you got You's nice.
Speaker 8 (03:04):
H You know, I tried something. I didn't want it
to blow off in the win. But it also makes
me look kind of elegant like the Spaniards.
Speaker 7 (03:10):
You're you're a international man.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I am, yeah, Am, Yeah, you know.
Speaker 7 (03:14):
I did not realize you have played in an international game.
Speaker 8 (03:17):
Yes, I had the opportunity when I was in New England.
We played Tampa in London. It was crazy because you know,
you didn't know what to expect. You know, it was
like twenty ten and all the fans showed up in
different jerseys and everything, and they tiered the whole time.
It was pretty cool, man, that's pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
I did not realize, like now that I'm here in
the experience when people talk about you got to get
used to the time difference. You have to get used
to the especially if you're playing in the league and
you're used to a set schedule.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Right, it's challenging.
Speaker 8 (03:44):
Obviously It's six hours ahead where we are on the
East Coast and I'm still getting a jested and I've
been here like four or five days.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
So you gotta manage it well.
Speaker 8 (03:52):
And the team seems to be doing great with that
because their schedule has been tight. We had a chance
to go out to Real Madrid, which was exciting to
see the soccer facility. So those guys, they gotta be
on it.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
And I'm really surprised at the not just the turnout,
which is amazing.
Speaker 7 (04:09):
But we've got a line down the street here, but
also in the city.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
You can tell as the game's gotten closer, the Commanders
fans are really coming out.
Speaker 7 (04:15):
We got an international.
Speaker 8 (04:16):
Presence, international president for the first time, for the first time,
being in Spain, the NFL has to be very policed,
but turnout. I love the signs on the stadium and
all around the city we see voters of I got
Jaydon Daniels.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
So it's pretty freaking cool.
Speaker 8 (04:31):
And then all the fans showed up to all our
podcasts and the command Centers player club.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
They all came on and it's been great. Man.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
I haven't seen any I met. No, I take that back,
I've seen two Dolphins fans too.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Oh. We showed up. Our community showed up, as.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
You should be, Like, we haven't seen any of these
guys coming over here, and.
Speaker 8 (04:48):
They know what they're gonna get when they come over here.
A good old Spanish How do you say that?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Whooping? Yes, I don't know. We gotta figure that they
figure that out.
Speaker 7 (04:58):
Yeah, we're gonna go in probably, let maybe we'll hang
out here.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
I just want to talk to the fans and yeah,
feel the vibe because you can tell as the game
is approaching, you can kind of feel the high building
and the energy. It's this is really cool and you
can understand why the NFL wants to be.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Worn or ask.
Speaker 8 (05:12):
Yeah, and I think that you know they deserve they
see this game at least once a year. I don't
know if we can get a team yet. We'll love
to have a team here because I would love to
be the ambassador for that team. But we can't move
to Commanders here. But you got a new stadium coming.
But while I love the NFL being having a press here,
I think the fans gonna really enjoy the game.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
It's been fantastic. We're to keep hanging with these fans.
We're gonna keep hanging out. Yes, BC, listen it back
to you.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Thanks Jackson's sign for the main event. Brought to you
by Vince DC.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
This DC is the premier host of conventions, entertainment, sporting
and culture events in the nation's capital.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Fantom happens here. Mois is a wan Take it away
all right, BC.
Speaker 9 (05:46):
We're enjoying. I'm actually not enjoying. We're having the time
of our life here in Madrid.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Spain.
Speaker 9 (05:52):
Juandro Medo, mostly that as we are. You're a Spanish
broadcasting man, Juan, what a scene.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Look at the fans.
Speaker 9 (05:59):
It's crazy sweating yet Oh my goodness, I'm sweating of excitement, Juan.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
This is incredible.
Speaker 9 (06:05):
This Sunday, we have a historic game in Madrid, Spain,
the first ever NFL game.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
We've been talking about it for weeks.
Speaker 9 (06:14):
This whole week has been about getting the fans excited,
including the fans, and getting a W against the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Definitely, that's the most important thing.
Speaker 9 (06:23):
We came here for a W. But what about the
NFL being in Madrid. It's historic for many reasons. Santego Vernaveo,
now known as only Vanavelo, is the home of Real Madrid,
the winningest team in European soccer, one of the most
popular teams across the globe. I don't have to tell
you the story because you are a fan of that team.
(06:44):
Stadium constructed in nineteen forty seven.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
What more?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
What more do you want me to tell you?
Speaker 9 (06:49):
Mention the fifteen title, fifteen chadows for Real Madrid. Oh man,
it's great. It's been awesome for me to get to
know the stadium in and out. We've been in and
out of the stadium all week long, and now it's
what do people say, it's so much color.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
The NFL brought so much color to the stadium. It's bright,
it's vibrant, it's ready for NFL.
Speaker 9 (07:06):
And most definitely, like I said earlier, when we talk
about this stadium, one point seven billion to remodel it,
to make it up to the standard that we see today,
to bring the biggest events. And when we talk about
huge events, the NFL is right there next to any
event when we're talking when we mentioned sports. Oh definitely, definitely,
the NFL is putting on a big show for the
(07:27):
people of Madrid.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
We just went to the NFL shot right now. Every
NFL team is represented.
Speaker 9 (07:31):
But of course Washington Commander's gear looks so nice out
here in Madrid store. One of the things that I
am most excited about and that I've enjoyed the most,
as well as the fact that fans are just happy
to be here to see the Washington Commanders playing in Spain.
I think that's a huge deal. No matter what happens
on Sunday, I think we're gonna go back home with
a great experience hold on, everybody want to hear a
car in Spanish for let's touchdown.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Let's go, boys, let's go.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Jane and Daniels sina ya that nou middle ain't lands
up at T McClain.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
That Simpsons done.
Speaker 9 (08:06):
Commander all right, let's throw it back to bram weinst
and English broadcast of the Commanders.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
All right, thank you boys, says had one.
Speaker 10 (08:15):
As the week has gone on here, the Commanders fans
have literally taken over Madrid. It's been amazing to see
the support that's come from overseas here as well. What
an amazing experience this has been here.
Speaker 9 (08:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Absolutely, But I'm not surprised by the amount of fans
that have turned out because you gotta think this is
a historic franchise. But as you as we have been
around Madrid just to love all the Commanders fans wearing
their burgundy go. Amazing experience. This is my first international experience.
I don't know if you guys have had other international experiences,
(08:48):
but this is awesome.
Speaker 11 (08:49):
Yeah, my first international experience too. And I think the
crazy thing is there's people from Ireland, from the UK,
there's people from Portugal. That's closure than I thought it was.
And they're all Commanders fans are like, I'm a lifelong
Commanders fan, and you're like, oh my gosh, how'd.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
You pick this up out here?
Speaker 11 (09:01):
But it's so cool to see how massive this organization
is and was, and hopefully you can get back to
kind of supporting this international fan base.
Speaker 10 (09:08):
When they announced this back in the spring, there were
so many people that I heard from I knew were coming.
I'm not surprised by this. I fully expect the stadium
to be burginging your goal on Sunday, Ye.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Says, I haven't seen many Dolphins fans and I don't know,
and we've been off We've been a lot of different
places around Madrid, but you can definitely tell to turn
out the anticipation of our fans being here. And I'm
just hoping our team, our guys show out and show up,
show up and show out in that game.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
All right, let's talk about the game a little bit.
Speaker 10 (09:39):
One of the biggest issues with the Dolphins, specially recently,
devon h Chan their run game. Washington's had struggled stopping
the run here, especially in recent weeks. Chan had over
two hundred yards from scrimmage. It'll win over the Bills
a week ago.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
So what changes.
Speaker 10 (09:54):
DQ becomes the de facto defensive coordinator, and clearly he
is issue number one.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
This issue number one.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
And I think anytime you go into a football game
from a defensive standpoint, the number one thing we say
is you gotta stop the rung. If you don't stop
the run, it opens up so many different things, whether
it's in the play action pass, the big players you
can get in the passing game. But when you look
at this Dolphins offense, I know a lot of times
people say, hey, you got to stop the quarterback. I
look at it and say, we need to stop Ahame.
(10:22):
Stop him, and let's put it on to a force
him to beat this. Yeah, I think that's exactly right.
Speaker 11 (10:26):
This offense is a Kyle Shanahan Sean McVay run first,
the setup, play action offense. So in order to kind
of make this thing clunky and not work, you gotta
stop the run first and foremost, because they're gonna work
off not only deeplay action shots, but intermediate play action shots,
which have been really killer for them the last couple
of years. And then you look at say, if you
do that, then they have to execute at a high
level on third down, and they have not done that
(10:47):
really this season so far. So if you can disrupt
first a second down which comes to stop in the run,
I think you give yourself a shot.
Speaker 10 (10:53):
They obviously a big playability since Tyreek Hill got injured,
Jalen Wattle eighty plus yards receiving in almost every game
since become a true number one for them. As for
Tua a couple of years ago, leading the lead in
passing this year among the league leaders in interceptions, if
you can disrupt him, there are turnovers to be had.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
There are I think the thing about too and Logan,
you talked about this on some other shows.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
This offense is.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
About timing and throwing to the blind spots and trusting
your guys to be what they're supposed to be when
they're supposed to be there. So some of his interceptions,
he's just going and trusting guys to be there. Sometimes
just being careless with the football too. He'll take shots
into double coverage, kind of ill advice. Opportunities there will
be there, Opportunities will be there for us to make
(11:36):
some interceptions.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
We just got to capitalize on it.
Speaker 11 (11:38):
Yeah, he doesn't have the strongest arm, but he really
relies on his quick release to get the ball where
he needs to go, and teams are getting wise to that.
I feel a little bit.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
I think obviously mentioned jeal and Waddle.
Speaker 11 (11:47):
The other piece that's kind of giving them some life,
especially last week is Greg Doltchi is the guy that
just brought it from the practice squad. He's like a
receiver ish type tight end, and all of a sudden,
these horizontal passes on keepers and boots have become much
more dangerous for this offense. So Mike McDaniels does a
great job of giving to a high percentage throws. And
now that you've got some more explosive pieces in the offense,
(12:07):
that moves to the forefront with Devin h Chan catching passes,
Greg Doltchi catching passes, and again he'll turn the football over.
But I do think Mike's doing a good job of
being aware of his limitations.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
We really have a moment here.
Speaker 10 (12:17):
But on offense, since we are bringing the NFL game overseas,
let's introduce them to Washington football.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
The Hugs a run game, right, don't want to do that?
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Absolutely, I think when you look at when we are,
when we are at our best, the games. If we've won,
it's been the run game that has been at the
core front rushing for over two hundred yards and a
couple of those games in the near or nearly two
hundred yards, and some other games.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
It has to come to life.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Sunday gets his Dolphins defense because if we don't the Dolphins,
they're gonna blitt the heck out of you. They have
a bunch of different creative ways to get pressure on
the quarterback. But the run game, the big boys, the
guys that smell like bacon, they gotta they gotta do
their job.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Yeah, an agree.
Speaker 11 (13:00):
In the Miami Dolphin run defense has gotten better in
the last couple of weeks. Against Buffalo, they looked really
solid again, kind of out of character for them. The
one thing I will say, though, is I think we
gotta get first downs to run the football. We got
to give them back some more opportunities. So if you
look at our third down percentage since Marcus Mariota has
been starting, not very good, that needs to improve dramatically.
If they can, I think we can run the football,
and I gotta assert that hog mentality.
Speaker 10 (13:21):
The other day, Frankie Luvu was asked, what are the
Spanish fans gonna learn he's gonna say he said violence,
We're gonna see violence.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Let's get from.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Spanish. We'll figure that out. I'm a fine down last boy,
says the one to help us out with that. As
we send it back to you, Brian.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Shout out.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
So you'll like that. Shout out to all Radio threw.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
I'm back here with the Game Day crew right now, one.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Boy and fellow.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Let's talk about this dog business once again.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Marcus Mariold will be starting training in place of Jaded Daniels,
but we know he is one of the best back
ups in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
If anything, he's a.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Starter in the NFL. I wait to see for Marcus
Mayoad out here.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
His face.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Well, you know, mar I can watch y'all talking to
him the other day, and the dude is so calm.
You know, he understands what needs to happen. He has experience,
and I just think, you know, the game player has
to come out and just basically situate what he does best,
what this whole team does best, and go for it. Listen,
we've had some games where I don't think we really
pressed it. Let's press it. You know what all these
(14:25):
fans traveled over here. Let's give him a little some
something to go with. But I believe it we just
could get something going early. We could ride that whole
wave throughout the game.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
Yeah, you know, I feel like we had to point
in no return already. You know, in this season, I
think we don't what we do. We lost five games
in a row, so I mean we had nothing to lose. Man,
Let this guy open the bag, you know what I mean.
Like we always talk about Cliff going into the back,
open the bag. I want Marioa to half everything at
his arsenal, you know what I mean. I want him
to be able to go out there, RPO, throw the
ball to the guys on our side, get the tight
(14:55):
ends involved. Let's show them on offense that these guys
haven't saw all year from us. And I just I
want him to allow Marioda to be special man, because
I really, I truly believe. You know, when we got
a tend to talk to him earlier this week, I
let him know, like, man, I'm impressed because I didn't
know he had this in him, you know what I mean.
And so I'm happy to have him as our backup.
But I'm also happy to know that he still can
(15:15):
be a start in this league.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah, Marcus Marriod caught up with these guys on the
Players Cup. Y'all can check that out on Saturdays. And
somebody I caught up with with Chris Rodriguez on the
Next Man Up podcast and you talk about getting in
that bag for Cliff. I think of Chris Rodriguez when
I think about that, and Chris Rodriguez get busy because
the last two games we've seen, the more touches he get,
He's always moving forward, He's never losing yards, He's always
(15:38):
going forward.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Be how important is Chris Rodriguez in the game plan
for this week?
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Chris is the closest thing to b Rob than we have.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
You know, Nichols is unbelievable, But mc nicholas is that
change your page out the backfield? God Bill is that
slashy guy Christian Lord and shoulders and say, I'm gonna
see if you I'm like I tell people when I
played football, I played Chicken. I'm gonna ron full speed
at you. Let's see who's gonna move, who's gonna punk out.
Chris Rodriguez is that guy with that type of ability.
(16:07):
He can make you punk out. So if you could
constantly hit that linebacker, hit that safety in the chest,
they don't want to tackle you. He's that type of
guy and I just want to see that. I want
to see that as situated Washington when it was great
John Riggins, Ernest Boner, Jared Riggs, Clinton Porter, they had
hard nose running back, Terry Allen, Steven Davis.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Let's do that. Chris is the closest thing to that.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
And I understand that we have changed up a little bit,
but football is still about who's the biggest bully. And
I want to see Washingt Commanders be the bullets.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
And he talking about Bully Tanner.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
That makes me think of Deebo Samuel Debo coming seen
him in an all white a practice, just swagged out
feeling good.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
I'm like, this is one of those games where he
knows all odds on him and he can have a
big moment.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
Yeah, I think, man, we need to see a Debo moment.
We haven't seen many of them in the last few weeks.
I know he scored last week, but we haven't seen
that game that we can all just hang out hat
on and say that's Depot, that's what we brought him
here for like I said before, that's a part of
Cliff going in that bag and saying, Hey, I'm gonna
let all the tricks out.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
You know what I mean. I can't.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
I can't hold back nothing.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
And I feel like going into buy when you have
so many guys that's still capable and able to go
out there and be efficient for us, we have to
do that.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
So deepot, it might be your night, it might be
your day up here, man, you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
I want to really see this guy come out here
in this world, coming down the street, in the world
about coming down the streets your jewelry, babe, I would
just talk mine.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
This is tana vegged people. We're banged up.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
We got a lot of injuries.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
And one place that we actally haven't seen a lot
of injuries on is our tight end room. Our tight
end room.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
We'll be leaning on them more and more. We see
Vince Sinny getting into the end zone. We all wanted
to see that. What are you supping to see from
our tight is and how important are they for us
to find success?
Speaker 4 (17:47):
So wont to see zactly back to what he was
that was always that uh insurance policy for everybody he
was there to take care of those guys. I think
yesterday late I saw being sent it ended up on
the injury report. I want to just see guys, if
you're on the foot all feel injured or not, give
me what you have. That's all I want you to do.
In exhausted tank.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Hey, good time here with the best fans in the NFL.
Let's send it down to our Get Loud podcast crew BC.
Speaker 7 (18:13):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
We're out here hanging with the fans.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
We've seen some people taking photos, Yeah, taking videos of me.
People are hyped for this game, and I gotta tell you,
like you can start.
Speaker 8 (18:23):
You can feel the energy, man oh man, especially from
the Burgening goal. I like you said, we haven't seen
any many Dolphin fans out here the Burgan and goal.
Our fans have showed up. They're out here, they're hype,
they're ready to go. We've had a great week here
and h the team is gonna have a great game
on Sunday. I believe I kind of feel the energy.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, I kind of feel that way as well.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
And when you have DQ now taking over the defensive
play calling, yeah, what sort of change is that gonna
be for this defense? I know they brought down Joe
Wich to the sideline. That didn't really work out. So
they've tried different things. But now DQ is saying, all right,
that's all me.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Now at this point, it is on the head coaching.
You know.
Speaker 8 (18:56):
The good thing about DQ, he's approven de coordiny. He's
done very well as the decordinator, obviously with the Seahawks
when they went to Super Bowl dominant defense. So he
has to experience and when your defense, when your head
coaches are defensive coordinator, guess what happens to everybody meeting
when you take a little extra attention. Because okay, if
he's taking the time to not only run the team
(19:18):
but be the decordinator, it's very important for us. And
it's obviously a problem with that being said, it doesn't
come down all on the play caller. It comes down
to the players got to make plays. We have to
play better. Each individual on that team has to play.
Vent starts the up front starts, in the back end.
We all got to players one unit. We got some
young guys stepping up. Hamilton might play, a Gnogamy is
(19:40):
probably gonna play. Jones would be back. So we got
some guys. That's gonna step in and play and they
all got to perform.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
So when you have that new voice like a DQ
and it makes you stand up a little bit, then
I think this is a time of people they pay
a little more attention, like you were talking about. And
so what can that do as far as motivation to
help the motivational or just hearing a different voice it
just resonates a little more.
Speaker 8 (20:03):
Well, I think it's it's a different voice, you know,
a different perspective. Not that Joe Whitt was bad. Obviously
Joe Whitt had he was dealing with a lot of
injuries and the cars he was dealt was not favorable
for any coordinator. So sometimes change is just needed just
because it's just a different president, a different voice being
in our meeting room.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
And the head coach ultimately comes back.
Speaker 8 (20:22):
We say, it comes back to DQ and he has
to be able to identify what the problems are because
it's not just play calling, it's not just the players.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
We got to we have to solve that problem defensively.
Speaker 7 (20:32):
When you're going up against a guy like a Jayla Wattle.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Yeah, obviously Tyreek is out, so he's not playing, but
even him, you know, the flare him out, get hit
all they they just like to get him the ball
in space.
Speaker 7 (20:41):
So when you have great individual talents like that, what.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Does that mean for you as a member of the secondary.
Speaker 8 (20:48):
Even without you know, Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins got some
superior speak A. Chane is about the fastest running back
you'll see in the NFL. And Waddle can get it done.
You know, he's a four to two. Also, they had
two four two walking. They got some guys who are
explosive and can make plays. And too it can get
the ball right, he can get the ball to him.
We have to make him uncomfortable. But so but with
(21:08):
that being said, when you know those guys are that explosive,
you can't sit back there and give up big plays. Right,
don't be surprised if Wada goes down the field, try
to run a fifty yard post or deep.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
They will try.
Speaker 8 (21:22):
They will try. And that's the Dolphins offense. So when
you think about the Dolphins offense, they want you to
get up on this run game. They want you to
stack the box because you got their best player on
the field probably will be Devon Chang. He was outstanding
against the Bills. He's continued to be explosive. He's making
a name for himself in the league. So people are
stacking the box, but when you do two of them
deep overs the pokes behind you. So you gotta be
(21:43):
smart on how you stack the box, but also defend
the deep ball.
Speaker 7 (21:47):
Does this defense need to be hyper aggressive and getting
after to it?
Speaker 5 (21:50):
Look, obviously you never want to let any quarterback comfortable,
but certain quarterbacks really.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Fold under pressure.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
Even the Colts said earlier in the year. Yeah, once
you get to off his first read, you can make
him make mistakes. So, particularly with him, do we have
to be aggressive? We do.
Speaker 8 (22:05):
You saw in the last few weeks what happens when
you don't have a quarterback. Sam Donald just came in
all right. With Tua especially, he's not as mobile as
those guys. With Tua, it's a little smaller frame, little guy.
You can get him roudled if he hit him a
few times, and I think he will throw you the ball.
The kids mix it up, show the different looks, blitz
him a little bit, get him uncomfortable in the pocket.
(22:26):
But because you're right, if Tua is comfortable in the pocket,
he can hit the weapons on the outside and he'll
get it to the explosive players.
Speaker 5 (22:33):
Just one of your thoughts on how the Dolphins suddenly
put together a couple of wins against the Have you
seen anything different or you know, if it's a situation
that we're in which is like we got nothing to lose.
Speaker 8 (22:42):
Man, exactly exactly what it is. They went up to Buffalo,
like over the Buffalo came down Miami. They had nothing
to lose. They threw the kitchen sink at Josh Allen
and they confused him. They jumped up on those guys
early sixteen.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Nothing.
Speaker 8 (22:56):
When you're playing a team like that, they're very dangerous.
The records are the same, but if it was a
little different between the Dolphins and the Commanders.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
But I like our chances.
Speaker 5 (23:04):
I did too, nothing to lose. That's what we're gonna
talk to the fans. I think they might be a
drink in our future, too, drink PC.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
We'll sit it back to you.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Thanks, fellas, it's time for your top ticket.

Speaker 10 (23:29):
All right, thanks Brian. Time to give you some of
our top ticket matchups for the game, and let's start.
We talked earlier about Devon h Chan and the challenging
he presents for the defense and specifically for Bobby Wagner
and the linebackers. We have to figure out a way
to limit him.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
When you look at a chain, explosive type of runner,
four to three speed, and with the Dolphins, they utilize
him all over the football field. They put him in
motion and give him out on jefs sweeps the run game,
catching pass out of the backfield. So our linebacker, I'm
not just Bobby are linebackers are going to have to
play a ton of attention to a chain not allow
(24:05):
him to get going. He does a great job of
breaking tackles. He's only five eight, but he breaks He
breaks a lot of tackles. Ron strong, ron Zo stronger
than he looks, So you gotta be aware of him.
But we cannot allow him to have explosive plays in
the run game or explosive plays in the passing game.
Speaker 11 (24:21):
Yeah, I know it's just the linebackers we're talking about here,
but I think about the safeties in their role in
covering a chain, right, because like one of the things
that Joe H Junior tried to do is kind of
limit Bobby's availability and coverage on the back. So I
think what we're gonna see is this Kwan handle it,
this Reeves handle it. How is our communication in those moments,
because I think that's gonna be huge. They use him
so much on misdirection getting to the flat and it's
(24:42):
so easy to get picked. So how do we communicate
that not only with the linebackers, but with the entire
defense because he's that kind of playmaker.
Speaker 10 (24:48):
One of the strengths of the Miami defense is their
pass rushers Bradley Chubb, Matthew Judon, a couple of linebackers
that will blitz as well. Jordan Brooks leads the NFL
in tackles this year, so I'm looking at me Tungsul
and Josh Connery as well, needing to have a big
game in their matchups this weekend too.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (25:05):
Absolutely, And what I think about this too, is is
it's not just Larrmy Tunzel and Connolly, it's the entire
offensive line because Anthony Weaver is so good at bringing
kind of unusual press uh pressure packages. Right, he's gonna
bring a simulated pressure. He's gonna bring four man overloads,
and so what does that mean? That means all five
of us and the running back quite frankly, have to
be seeing those protections at a high level. So not
(25:25):
only do they need to be concerned about the individual
one on one matchups that you alluded to there, to me,
it's a schematic thing you got to be aware of, right,
because you think about the third down thing that we've
struggled with this year, A lot of it is with
third down pass protection. Just getting it communicated. That's gonna
be tested tomorrow at a very very high level.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Part of the third downs, making sure we're not in
those third long situations, so being able to run the ball,
being a lot more third and.
Speaker 11 (25:47):
Yeah, win those matchups on first second down.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
First second down.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
But as logan Mitch him with this anthlete were he
comes from the Baltimore Ravens defensive background, family background, bunch
of overload pressures, things like that, creating free runners, So
you have to be on point. There will be some
situations where the quarterback has to confident Black unblock rusher
as well getting the ball out of his hands, knowing
(26:12):
hey making sure we all on top of our game.
From a protection standpoint, all that type of thing is
gonna be paramount.
Speaker 10 (26:18):
And in this ball guys team cannot catch a break
with injuries. Treiler Burke's comes up, has a nice game
now out Suddenly Terry's not playing again, Noel Brown not
playing again. Where does a big play come from?
Speaker 11 (26:28):
Yeah, I think it's got to be from the tight
end room. Quite honestly, I think when you look at
zach Ertz and his production last week, like that's the
most explosive element of our offense. So now can we
get a young player and Ben Sinnett coming along too. Again,
he's maybe not the most nuanced route runner, but he's explosive.
Can we get him like the ball in space and
let him work after the catch? I think that might
be where I look to find that explosive opportunity.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
I think when you look at our situation from a
receiver standpoint, Jalen Lane a big forty one yard reception
last week, maybe he's able to Maybe they add a
little bit more to his play to create those situations
you're getting one on one, whether it's against the safety
or or or corner down the field.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
He has a type of speed that.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
He can he can utilize that and he's got a
guy that can create am expokes places for us.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Looking for a little magic in Madrid. As we said
it back to you.
