If you're in a season where your calendar is full, your energy is split, and you’re being pulled in a hundred directions—you’re not alone.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about staying rooted during chaotic seasons, and why your own rhythm—not someone else’s blueprint—is the secret to growing with more ease, alignment, and impact.

You’ll hear real stories, a powerful mindset shift around "falling behind," and one question that will change how you move through this week. Because when you align with your own success method, everything else becomes so much clearer.

Sheila (00:02):
You know, I've worked with so many high achieving
women who were burning out, thinking they had to do more to
grow their business, but when weslowed things down and built
from their rhythm, everythingchanged.
In this episode, I'm sharinghow to stay grounded when
everything around you is movingyour team, your calendar, global
events because if you're stillfollowing someone else's

(00:22):
strategy, you're probablyhitting walls that don't even
belong to you.
Let's talk about how to finallylead from your own blueprint.
Hi, welcome to the Connect withSheila Botelho podcast.
I'm committed to help youreconnect to your purpose,
elevate your wellbeing and buildyour version of a happy,

(00:45):
successful life.
Today, I want to sharesomething deeply personal and
incredibly universal, especiallyif you're navigating one of
those seasons where yourbusiness, your family, the world
, your team, your inbox it allfeels like a lot.
If you're in a growth season, that feels both exciting and
demanding, I invite you to dropin, because I'm talking about

(01:08):
creating your version of a happy, successful life not the
version the world says youshould want and I'll be sharing
what to actually do when chaosis swirling, when timelines are
shifting and when your team, your clients and your calendar
all seem to need something fromyou at once we're going to
ground into something deeper, because you don't need to have

(01:30):
it all figured out, but you doneed something to hold onto when
the noise ramps up, and thatsomething is your own
methodology, your lens, yourrhythm, something that doesn't
shift with the tides.
Let's drop in.
I was recently chatting with agroup of powerful women in

(01:51):
business, colleagues who havebeen in the trenches, the
launches, the pivots, thecelebrations, and one thing that
we all agreed on well, thisjourney is beautiful, so
beautiful.
Well, this journey is beautiful, so beautiful, but it's also
hard, not sometimes, not justwhen you're starting out, but at
every new level.

(02:11):
It demands something from you.
So many of us are buildingbusinesses and lives that didn't
exist before us.
We're paving new paths.
Of course it's going to feelbumpy, of course the map will
feel unclear at times, and yetwhat I know from the deepest
part of my being is this theones who create their own

(02:34):
version of success are not theones who hustle the hardest.
They're the ones who are clearon what they're creating and why
.
That's why I created theEmbodied Success Method
Meditation to help you reconnectto your inner compass, that
grounded, wise, intuitive partof you that already knows what

(02:56):
matters.
It's your anchor when thingsfeel wobbly.
It's where clarity lives, because without that clarity
it's so easy to start chasingother people's dreams, other
people's blueprints, otherpeople's pace.
There's a phrase I've foundmyself saying a lot lately when
I'm in, I'm all in.

(03:18):
And it's true, I don't dothings halfway not in business,
not in motherhood, not in life.
There was a long season when Iwas all in on being a present
mother.
My business was still running, but it wasn't my main focus.
I chose not to scale or take onmore because I wanted to be so

(03:41):
present with my kids, and Idon't regret it for one second.
But I remember I could feeltime passing.
I watched peers move fast, innovate, create rise, and while
I knew I was making the rightchoice for me at that time, I

(04:02):
also wondered am I fallingbehind?
Right choice for me?
At that time I also wondered amI falling behind?
Will I have to catch up someday?
But what I've come to realizeand what I want to affirm for
you is this If you're showing upfully in the season you're in,
you are not behind, you're righton time and when the season
shifts and it will you'll beready to rise with it because

(04:25):
you've been doing the deeperwork.
So often we define success bymetrics that aren't even ours
how much money, how manyfollowers, how fast is the
growth going.
But when you really sit with it, when you embody your
definition, you realize thatsuccess is about how you feel in

(04:50):
your life.
And I remember sitting with mykids one day and we were
actually sitting under an oaktree at a local park.
I had chosen to do some of ourreading outside under a tree.
It was so beautiful, it wasspringtime and this was during
my season of home educating themwhen they were younger and I

(05:12):
home educated them up until highschool and I'm so grateful for
that opportunity.
I realized it's not foreveryone, but it was so for me,
so for us.
And we were sitting under thisoak tree because it was really
warm, it was early June and Iwas like we're sitting inside.
Why are we sitting inside?
We can be anywhere.
Let's go sit somewhere reallybeautiful.

(05:35):
And when I was sitting there andwe were each reading from this
book, like we took turns readingto each other, I remember just
sitting back and looking at myboys and thinking, wow, this
wasn't really what I pictured,but the feeling I had when I
witnessed it was what I hadimagined.
It was this connection to them, this time outside of time, of

(06:00):
watching them become the peoplethat they are and not being
controlled by the rush of aschedule.
I had always hoped thatsomething like this would be
possible, and yet I wondered, because I didn't see too many
models of it.
I had a few, thankfully, thatwere like guiding lights for me,
and sitting under that treethough, I mean, I can feel like

(06:24):
I'm there right now, rememberingthis, I felt a sense of freedom
and peace inside of myself andjust this feeling that
everything's going to work out.
I am right on time, I'm meantto be here in this moment, and I
want that for you, wherever youare right now.
I want you to be present inthis moment because it is the
only moment right now that willever be like this moment.

(06:46):
You'll never experience thismoment again, and now I can look
back on that from a place ofhaving my son just finish his
first term of business collegeand my youngest son be in his
second last year of high school, and they're doing well and
they're happy, and they havegreat connections with their

(07:07):
friends and they have a visionfor their future.
I mean, you know the visionthat you have when you're that
age that's constantly shifting.
The point is, I couldn't haveimagined exactly where they
would be, how we would be, but Iknew the feeling I wanted to
have while I was going throughthat journey.

(07:27):
My clients often come to mewanting time, freedom, deeper
impact, more spaciousness, notjust more revenue.
It is really about that feeling.
And, yes, the revenue comes, but not because they chased
someone else's model.
It's coming because they'realigning with their own model.

(07:49):
And that is the power ofself-leadership, and I must say
it's been very high on my listof curriculum items from my boys
as well.
Self-leadership when you leadyourself first, when you listen
to your body and your energy, when you trust your inner
rhythms, that's when you becomemagnetic, that's when your

(08:11):
decisions sharpen, your actionsalign, your results compound.
And so I want to ask you thiswhere are you still trying to
copy someone else's strategy?
Why are you posting like them, writing like them, structuring
your day like them?
And what if this week you undidthat?

(08:33):
What if you stopped using thatframework as the be all end all
that works for someone else andyou think may work for you and
instead you refined your own.
What if you gave yourselfpermission to trust your own
rhythm?
That is your real work thisweek.

(08:54):
That's your next level and, trust me, it's not always easy,
but it is worth it.
So often on my journey I've hadthis idea of how I want my life
to look, and people around me,if I voice it to certain groups,
will come back with howimpossible it is, how that's
just not how life works, backwith how impossible it is, how

(09:17):
that's just not how life works.
And yet I'm looking back at myhistory of my 52 years and
seeing how, when I went all inon what I really desired, that
was birthed in my soul, it allcame together.
And here I am now and nobodycan tell me that it doesn't work
, because it has worked for me.
And it has not just worked forme.

(09:37):
It's worked for people that Iknow, mentors and my clients.
That is the power of rootinginto your own method for life,
for business, for everything.
So when timelines move and theunexpected arises because it
will, it's happening right nowyou need to be rooted rooted in

(10:00):
your rhythm, your values, yourmethods.
Because here's what I've seenhappen when women operate from
their own internal blueprint.
They become unshakable.
They don't crumble when thealgorithm changes.
They don't spiral when a launchdoesn't go as planned.
They pause, regroup and realignbecause their foundation is

(10:23):
solid.
And that is what the embodiedsuccess method gives you.
It gives you clear, grounded, tuned in.
It helps you lead when the roomis noisy.
It helps you simplify when theworld says do more.
It helps you feel safe takingyour next step, even if you

(10:43):
can't see the full path yet.
I mean, do we ever really seethat full path?
We don't.
There's so much trust involved.
It's how you grow stronger andmore rooted, no matter what's
happening around you.
That is true leadership.
That's embodied success.
Now listen, yes, it's going tobe hard sometimes.

(11:04):
Parenting is hard, business ishard, relationships take work,
but you're going to face hardthings either way.
So why not do it your way?
Because, trust me, when you doit your way, it's actually a
little bit easier, becauseyou're doing what your soul
wants you to do.

(11:24):
Why not?
Why not go in on all of thethings that you want?
Because what I've seen in mylife in my business, in
motherhood, in my marriage isthat when I go all in, I create
beauty, I create depth, I createmeaning, even if it looks

(11:45):
different than someone else'sversion of success, and it
removes the striving and thecomparison.
I mean, yeah, the comparisonlifts its head at times, but
often when I see that comparison, it's actually a beautiful way
for me to recalibrate and makesure that I am actually on the
path that I believe I'm meant tobe on, and today I'm in a

(12:06):
season of gratitude because I'vewalked through the fire.
I've paused, I've chosenpresence, I've made the hard
calls and I've come out with alife that feels like me, and
these things will be on repeat.
These experiences will happenagain.
There will be more things towalk through, absolutely.
I'm so here for it, though, because I know that you can come

(12:30):
out on the other side and youcan achieve the things that you
truly desire.
So, wherever you are, know this, you're not behind.
You are being shaped in thisseason, and your next level is
waiting for you to define it onyour terms.
So, if you're ready to getrooted, clear and grounded again

(12:53):
, start with the EmbodiedSuccess Method meditation.
You'll find it at the link inthe show notes, and it's such a
short, eight-minute experiencethat can be an anchor for you.
It can be your reset button, your space to reconnect.
And if you're ready to go deeper, to scale your business while
honoring your rhythms andbuilding from a place of

(13:14):
alignment, then I invite you toexplore this season's growth
accelerator, because successisn't just about doing more.
It's about becoming more of whoyou already are, and that's how
you reach people and helpcreate the transformation that
you were brought here to do thework that you were birthed to do
.
The work that you were birthedto do.
The work that only you know ishappening inside of you.

(13:39):
That needs to come out.
