grow, keep listening, becausethe path forward isn't more
(00:25):
hustle it's coming home to howyou're meant to lead.
Hi, welcome to the Connect withSheila Botelho podcast.
I'm committed to helping youreconnect to your purpose,
elevate your wellbeing and buildyour version of a happy,
successful life.
You're listening to a mini-sodewhere I share an insight
(00:45):
designed to help you live intowhat lights you up.
This week, if you've beenfinding it harder than usual to
show up with your usual clarityand momentum, even though
everything technically lookslike it's working, this episode
is gonna feel like a breath offresh air, because I want to
offer a reframing that mightsurprise you.
(01:06):
You're not burned out.
You're just tired of doing ittheir way.
Now there's a differencebetween true burnout and a slow
internal realization thatsomething about your way of
working no longer fits, and I'veexperienced this myself and
what I've seen time and againwith my clients and in my own
(01:28):
seasons of growth is that whatwe often label as burnout is
actually a kind of quiet grief, the kind that surfaces when you
realize the version of successyou once strived for has become
too tight to grow inside of.
So maybe you've optimizedeverything, like your calendar
and content, all of your systemsand yet you still feel like
(01:51):
you're dragging your energythrough the day.
Perhaps the things you used tolove about your business have
started feeling more likeobligations.
Maybe you've built a strongreputation for being the one
people rely on, but latelyyou're not sure who you get to
be outside of that role.
This is what I invite you tohear.
(02:19):
Your exhaustion isn't a problemto fix.
It's a signal.
To listen to, one of my clientslet's call him Dave came to me
after scaling quickly in hisconsulting business.
On paper, everything was dialedin, he had consistent revenue
referrals rolling in and he hada team who really respected him.
(02:39):
But he said something that hadme stop for a moment and he said
it all works.
I just don't feel in it anymore.
I feel like I built somethingsuccessful that I no longer want
to be inside of, and this isreally, when our conversation
took a turn, because this was amoment when he was realizing his
(03:00):
success was no longer inalignment with his energy, his
values and his vision.
He just didn't want to hustleharder.
Right, you may feel thissometimes.
You just feel like you need torebuild from more of a resonant
place.
So here's what I invite you toconsider what if your next level
isn't about doing more butabout doing it differently?
And what if growth looked likefewer decisions, not more
(03:23):
decisions, things that gave youmore clarity instead of more
complexity?
So here is the thought of theday that I hope you carry into
your week.
The edge that you're lookingfor isn't in what you add.
It's in what you release thepermission to do it your way
more efficiently, moreintuitively, more sustainably.
(03:45):
It's not a reward for havingproven yourself.
It is a necessity forcontinuing to grow.
Because what Dave and Iuncovered was it wasn't that he
just wanted to walk away fromhis business, even though it
felt like that in the moment.
It was that he wanted to showup differently.
And guess what?
He gets to show up differently,he gets to create from a
different place, and he had thefoundation set already to be
(04:08):
able to do that.
So if you're feeling resistance,if you're procrastinating more
than usual, if you're rebuildingyour calendar constantly
through the week and you'restill ending up depleted, it's
not because you're fallingbehind or there's something
wrong with you.
It's because your body and yourbusiness are asking you to make
a shift.
And that shift might look likerestructuring how you deliver
(04:32):
what you're doing so they matchyour actual energetic
availability, and it may involverestructuring your team a
little so that they can supportand pick up those areas that you
just don't want to be a part ofin this season right now.
It might look like turning downa high profile opportunity
because you don't need anotherdopamine hit.
You really need space.
(04:52):
And it may look like revisitingwhat success means to you today
, not five years ago when youfirst built this thing.
So this is what evolution lookslike.
It happens for all of us.
We don't often hear about thefatigue that comes from not
doing too much, but from doingthe wrong things for too long.
(05:12):
It's real and when you gethonest about that, everything
opens up.
Your business becomes lighter, your messaging becomes clearer,
your relationships start toreflect what you actually value,
not just what you tolerate, and, most importantly, you stop
chasing momentum and startbecoming the person who creates
it.
That is the work that I guidepeople through in the Season's
(05:34):
Growth Accelerator.
It's not about downloadinganother system.
It's about upgrading the wayyou relate to your business so
it grows in harmony with you.
So if this episode hits home, let me leave you with one small
step.
It's a question for you, ofcourse.
Ask yourself, where in yourbusiness are you still following
rules you never consciouslyagreed to Start there.
(05:58):
Often we just follow the pathof what everyone else is doing,
and while that can be so helpfulbecause it can save us time in
reinventing the wheel, we do getto question along the way.
So let that question where inyour business are you still
following rules you neverconsciously agreed to?
Let it show you the next leverto release, the next system to
(06:20):
simplify, or the next.
Yes, that might actually need tobecome a.
Not right now.
You're not burned out.
You're just ready for yourbusiness to meet you where
you're actually at right in thismoment, and that's not a step
back.
It's the most powerful movethat you can make.
