Sheila (00:01):
One of my clients was
bringing in close to what her
C-suite income was in her sidehustle before leaving her
corporate role, but she stillfound herself working like she
was reporting to the board.
In this episode, I show you howto identify the hidden habits
that are sabotaging your growth, even if you're already
successful.
I'll walk you through a mindsetshift I use with my clients in
(00:22):
finance, therapy and wellness tohelp them scale with ease
instead of hustle.
Imagine building your nextlevel of success by doing less
but creating more impact, moremoney and more fulfillment.
And if you don't address thisnow, these patterns will keep
quietly running.
The show behind the scenesuntil burnout forces a reset.

The show behind the scenesuntil burnout forces a reset.
Hi, welcome to the Connect withSheila Botelho podcast.
I'm committed to helping youreconnect to your purpose,
elevate your well-being andbuild your version of a happy,
successful life.
You're listening to a mini-sodewhere I share an insight
designed to help you live intowhat lights you up.
This week, let's talk aboutsomething that most podcasts
(01:05):
aren't addressing because, quitehonestly, most people don't see
it until it's too late.
The habits that got you here, the ones that helped you build
your first six, or even multiplesix figures won't get you where
you're wanting to go next and, more importantly, they might be
the very thing holding you back.
You might recognize thesymptoms, a fully booked
(01:26):
calendar, but somehow you'restill feeling like you're behind
.
You're growing, but joy ismissing from the growth.
Or you left the corporate worldor the hustle-heavy startup
phase, but you still findyourself working as if someone
is grading your performance.
And this is what I've seenagain and again in the women I
coach smart, seasonedentrepreneurs who are already
(01:49):
successful but still exhausted.
Let me take you into a story ofone of my private clients.
She was in the financialleadership world for over a
decade.
On paper, she was makingwonderful money several hundred
thousand dollars a year in herside hustle before she even quit
her C-suite role.
But after going full-time inher business, she kept slipping
(02:10):
into her old patterns.
She was over-delivering toevery client, managing every
detail, avoiding team delegationbecause she felt she could do
it faster herself.
Right, Her experience wasactually getting in the way of
her ability to scale and bymonth five, she was teetering on
the way of her ability to scale.
And by month five she wasteetering on the edge of burnout
(02:33):
again.
And she said to me I thoughtentrepreneurship would feel
freer, but I feel like I justrecreated my old job, but with
less support.
So here's the truth yoursubconscious doesn't care that
you've made a new decision.
It cares about what feelsfamiliar.
So, unless you're intentionallyrewiring your leadership,
you'll keep building the nextchapter using the strategies
(02:55):
that built the last one.
This is where the embodiedsuccess method comes in.
I created it because Ipersonally needed it.
I was watching high achieving, beautiful, brilliant women
recreate burnout cycles, notbecause they lacked strategy,
but because they hadn't shiftedtheir internal operating system.
It's not about a vision board.
(03:16):
It's not even just a mindsetshift.
It's about listening to yourbody, to your energy, and asking
yourself what is sustainablesuccess for me right now, in
this season?
Another client this is atherapist who had scaled her
group practice came to me with asuccessful launch and a nervous
(03:38):
system in shambles.
She said it feels like I'mfighting something invisible.
She said it feels like I'mfighting something invisible.
What she was fighting was theover-functioning identity she
developed in clinical practiceand the part of her that felt
responsible for everyone'sresults, even when her zone of
genius had evolved.
And so our work wasn't aboutnew funnels or offers.
(03:59):
It was helping her let go ofthe internal rules.
She didn't even realize thatshe was still following.
The same thing happened with afunctional medicine doctor I
worked with last year.
She was finally moving beyondtrading time for dollars, but
she still got caught in thatpattern of proving her value
with complexity right.
It's kind of the double-edgedsword of being in academia and
(04:21):
being in a space where obviouslyintellect is incredibly
important to your results and toyour credibility with clients.
So she ended up making hergroup program too long.
Her bonuses were too stacked, her pricing was very low.
Because she hadn't done itbefore, she thought she had to
start from scratch and start onthe low end.
But when we stripped it allback, what emerged was a
(04:43):
streamlined offer, pricedproperly actually, and a
business that honored hernervous system.
And what she messaged me sixweeks later was saying I feel
like I've finally made space forthe version of me I've been
trying to become for years.
So this episode is your reminder.
You're not crazy for feelinglike things are harder than they
(05:05):
need to be, and it's not yourstrategy that's broken, it's the
rules you're stillunconsciously living by.
That is the gold nugget I wantyou to walk away with today.
Sustainable success doesrequire some changes.
It requires a new way ofself-leadership.
It starts with pausing longenough to ask who am I being,
(05:26):
not just what am I doing, andlisten.
This isn't about throwing awayeverything you've done.
Really, I want you to honorthat.
It's been hard fought in manycases and I want to celebrate
the success that you'vecurrently looked back on in your
experience.
It's about honoring though onin your experience.
(05:47):
It's about honoring, though, what got you here, without
making it the template for whatcomes next.
If this conversation hit homefor you, I want to invite you to
experience something that'sbeen a game changer for my
clients and community theembodied success method and
meditation.
It's completely free andavailable in the show notes.
It's a self-guided practicethat helps you reset, reconnect
and reimagine how you moveforward in business.
(06:08):
And guess what?
It also impacts your personallife in a really beautiful way,
because this season it gets tofeel more aligned for you, more
grounded and better than youever imagined.
Thank you for listening.
I'll see you on another fullepisode later this week, on
Thursday.
I'm going to go deeper intosome of this context.
Until then, have a beautifulrest of your day, big blessings.
