Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's kick things off
with a scenario that we've
probably all been into.
Now you've set some epic goalsfor the next few weeks.
You're ready to conquer theworld, you're literally feeling
the fire and you're diving inheadfirst into building your
next big launch or crafting thatlife-changing offer.
(00:20):
Maybe you've signed up to abrand new coaching program or a
course that's going to take alot of your time and your mental
capacity.
Or maybe you're still livingthat last minute entrepreneur
life, where you're tacklingemail, social media and plan on
a day-to-day basis and you'realways following those deadlines
(00:40):
very closely like a ninja.
But then life happens.
Maybe you realize youdesperately need a break, but
the deadlines are always soclose, the responsibilities are
packing up and that vacationfeels like a dream, a very, very
distant dream.
Or you end up taking thatvacation with your family and
(01:03):
you bring your laptop, yourphone, you're always answering
emails, you're creating newemails, scheduling emails,
social media posts and so on.
Maybe your kids or everyoneelse in your house come down
with a nasty bug or someone gothurt and you already know that
they're going to need a wholelot of your time.
(01:26):
Maybe you've got a big projector a launch coming up and you
want to make sure that you'reprepared and organized every
step of the way, but you'restill scrambling at the last
minute and you can't find thetime to create anything.
Maybe, like me, you want to bein the best shape of your life
(01:47):
before you turn 40.
And it's coming way closer thanit should and you're having a
hard time getting all those newhabits in.
And you're feeling the lack ofself-care lately.
Right, it's going against mygoal and we've all been really
guilty of neglecting ourself-care lately.
Right, it's going against mygoal and we've all been really
guilty of neglecting ourself-care own well-being and
(02:11):
everybody's priorities aside forours.
But when you're feeling burntout and run down, it's really
time to reset that button.
But who has the time?
Which is why all entrepreneursneed to have an oh shit sequence
set up.

It's time to hit thatsix-figure and beyond.
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Welcome to Create,
automate and Scale, the podcast
where we turn your businessdreams into reality.
Hi, I'm your host, sophieRaleigh, and today I want to
dive into how to set up yourOSHA sequence so you always have
a plan B in your business, nomatter the reason.
I want to take a look back at atime where I was a service
(03:37):
provider.
I created my first six-figurebusiness in eight months,
creating mainly summits forothers.
If you don't know what a summitis, it's typically when you
invite 20 to 25 plus otherexperts, you interview them on a
certain topic and you create aninterview series that you and
your experts all promote toeveryone's audience, and this
(04:00):
helps you build your email list,it helps you build your
authority and, in turn, it helpsthem grow their list and be
seen.
Now, these are seriously timeconsuming.
If I'm being honest, it's notthe best way to collaborate
anymore.
So if you had any idea, oh, Ishould do a stomach selfie.
Told me to.
No, I have some way better ways, but let's stay on track for
(04:23):
today.
I'm working behind the scene atthis point and I'm working
probably on seven events, andthough I work fast, I'm like a
tiny little ninja.
So if you haven't met me.
I'm four foot 11.
But when it comes to tech, I'ma literal ninja.
If I work on a lot of events,it's all good, it's usually a
(04:45):
piece of cake.
But when you're working withclients, they are the decision
makers.
At the end of the day, they'rethe decision makers, they are
the CEO of their business.
Which means that when you'reworking with clients who are
still working on theirdecision-making skills if you
know what I mean you can easilyfall behind and you're often
(05:07):
waiting for those finaldecisions.
Now you can imagine when it'ssuch a big event, those
decisions will have a hugeripple effect.
I would love to challenge youtoday and see how long it takes
you to make decisions in yourbusiness, and maybe we can have
(05:30):
a whole discussion as to howthis affects your business
bottom line.
But you can imagine that whenyou're working on such a big
event, the ripple effect can behuge.
Now I unexpectedly got sick Imean I don't think anybody plans
that right and I got COVID.
It's when it hit me probablythe worst.
(05:51):
So I'm in the.
Of course, every one of myclients at the time were falling
behind, behind in makingdecisions, behind in finishing
their interviews and so on Now.
I was really sick.
I was tired, I could barelybreathe, let alone crush seven
(06:13):
events Now, don't worry, Ialways deliver and I crushed it.
But that was the week that Idecided that I would never be
put in a situation like thatagain.
That's when I started to beobsessed over automation and how
the VIP hub came to life, wanted to help you set up your
(06:35):
tech and automation withoutcosting you an arm and a leg,
without having to fire someoneto do it and saving you hundreds
of hours each month withautomation, so that you can have
the space in your life to be aboss, to be a parent, to be a
spouse and honestly enjoy yourdamn life everywhere in between.
(06:56):
And having a plan B, automationis the key to your success.
So let's get to work First.
If you're wondering what is anoh shit sequence, let me tell
you.
Well, it's primarily an emailsequence that we set up in an
automation that can lastanywhere from two weeks to six
(07:18):
weeks that is designed tonurture and sell your evergreen
offers when you have anemergency and life happens.
Once you have it all set up,all you have to do is add all
your contacts into theautomation, turn off your
electronics and take a step backand know that your business is
taken care of and you can takecare of that, launch yourself,
(07:40):
your family and so on.
Now, this is perfect forsolopreneur mompreneur because
you might not always have a teamto fall back on and, if I'm
being honest, from working withhundreds of businesses, even if
you do have a team, if you canmake those decisions, take the
decision, do the approvalprocess of the material and all
(08:08):
that comes with having a team, you don't end up taking much of
a break and you also don't endup really making progress on
what you're working on, and Iwill say that nine times out of
10, you're wasting your time, you're wasting your energy,
you're wasting money on thatteam and I could go on here.
But having a plan B is huge.
So if you have an email listand an offer, this sequence is
(08:33):
for you To be able to set upyour OSHIT sequence.
You first need to make a listof your assets.
So let's brainstorm all yourassets together because, at the
end of the day, you need to beable to sell things in order to
make money while you're takingyour well-deserved time off.
Make sense.
For some of you.
(08:53):
That might be super easy, butmaybe it's not as black and
white as we would like it to be,so we'll just brainstorm.
I want to first share one of thebest way that I do my
brainstorming and that bestiesis sticky notes and the biggest
wall in my house.
I am obsessed with sticky notes.
I'm not sure my my family isobsessed with the way that I
(09:15):
brainstorm, but that is okay.
If this is your first timetrying this, I highly recommend
the super sticky full adhesivenotes, because other will just
start falling off the wall onyou and that's not going to help
you stay organized and it mayjust add a few swear words to
the process.
We don't want that.
(09:35):
I'll find the Amazon link ofthe ones that I personally use
and I'll put that in the shownotes if you're just curious on
the ones that I am referring to.
But the dollar store onesdefinitely do not work on a wall
.
If that's what you're workingwith, all good.
Maybe use a big table instead.
(10:02):
Love this method is that you getto put everything out of your
head and into a space where youcan see everything all at once,
but you're also going to be ableto move things easily as needed
.
So it's like a puzzle, right.
When you get started, you findsmall pieces of the picture
together and then at the end youcan see the full picture very
clearly.
So let's start with writingdown on each sticky note all of
(10:24):
your assets.
So one asset, one sticky note.
You can even color codedifferent types of assets into
different colors.
Now let's start with whatfreebies, lead generation, lead
magnet do you have at the moment?
What are your evergreen offersthat you have at the moment?
(10:45):
Again, an evergreen offer issomething that does not need you
.
So your one-on-one coaching, your group coachings, are out of
this one, as well as anythingfor my service provider that,
any type of service that takesup your time.
So we are talking about courses, templates, recorded training,
(11:10):
recorded masterclass, recordedinterviews from past events.
A question that I get reallyoften from my coaches, who have
one-on-one offers, groupcoaching programs, as well as my
service providers Can you usethe oh shit sequence to sell
those offers?
(11:30):
And the answer is no.
But let me explain.
You could absolutely changethis automation into more of a
launch automation, with salescalls answering questions.
But the reason it's not part ofan oh shit emergency sequence
is because this sequence is forjust that emergency.
(11:52):
So when you don't have time foryour launch, you don't have
time for the sales calls, youdon't have time for Zoom calls
or group coaching calls.
We are assuming that at thistime you do not have time for
any of this.
So for this sequence, we sellcourses, small evergreen offers
(12:14):
and templates, assets that youcan sell that are not going to
take up any of your time.
I don't repeat that oftenbecause I really want this one
to stick.
That is not going to requireyou to have a team to manage,
hold down the floor, somebody torun the business for you.
(12:34):
Now, if you feel like you don'thave any evergreen offers at
this time, let's keep going withthe next few questions.
It's typically for my coaches, service providers.
What are the module orframework of your program?
Maybe there's a mini course oneach of these module or
(12:58):
framework that you've created, recorded or could record.
But let's break it down evenmore.
What type of resources that youoffer your client for each of
these modules, for yourframework?
Out of the last two questions, what could be turned into offers
For my service providers?
(13:19):
I know that you make yourincome helping others by doing
things for them, whether youwrite copy, create graphics,
organize their business, createtheir automation, their funnels
and so on.
But what are some templatesthat you could sell?
What are some quick resourcesor how-to content that you could
(13:41):
offer?
I want to say trust me when Isay that so many people hire VAs
and service providers becausethey have no idea how to set
things up.
So don't underestimate yourvalue.
Underestimate your value.
(14:02):
Once you have all of yourassets on the wall, we can start
to organize them into offersthat we can put together to sell
during the OSHA sequence.
If you're planning on creating atwo-week sequence, maybe you
want to create a bundle to sellor one to two offers.
Sell or one to two offers.
(14:22):
If this is something that isoverwhelming and it's the first
time that you're creatingevergreen offers, that you're
creating such a big automation,I want to say that it's
perfectly fine to set up anemergency two-week sequence and
to come back later on and buildit on to a four-week.
It is completely fine becausegetting two weeks of self-care
or time to recover or time foryour family or for a vacation is
(14:46):
seriously a whole lot betterthan having no time at all.
Now there's different ways thatwe can do these automation.
It can be more offers than youhaving a bundle or one to two
offers, but let's just talkminimum.
For this example, if you wantto create a four-week sequence,
(15:06):
you'll want to have at least twoto three offers that you want
to create for this sequence, andif you have a six-week sequence
, then you want to have threeplus offers to present during
that time.
Also, think about havingdifferent price range.
You absolutely want to createsmaller into medium offers and
(15:29):
if you have a course that is ona higher price end and you have
the proof in the pudding, absolutely consider adding this
to your oh shit sequence.
Now we're talking evergreen, soof course I want you to also
look at your wall.
What could be an upsell, a bumporder?
(15:51):
What else could we offer at theother end of those first offers
?
Consider what free gift do youwant to add to this sequence to
start it off.
Do you have anything new orexciting that you could offer as
a gift to start it off?
And again, there willabsolutely be a bump, an upsell,
(16:12):
on your first free gift offerwhen we start off the sequence.
Once you have all your assets, that's when you want to again
take some sticky note and startto put those offers into a
timeline.
Put a sticky note for each weekof your sequence, so week one,
(16:32):
week two and so on.
Then place the offers that youwant to offer each week.
This is not in stone here, don't stress.
It's just to help you write upthose emails for your epic OSHA
sequence.
So it's going to give you thatreally nice visual of how and
(16:55):
when you want to sell things, ofhow and when you want to sell
things.
You don't need to puteverything on your assets wall
that you put on your wall intoyour sequence.
It's really going to be on acase-by-case basis on how and
what you want to offer.
There's a lot of ways again thatyou can set up that oh shit
sequence, which we're going towalk through a lot of them
(17:18):
during the oh shit workshop.
This can be set up like a flashsale.
This can be set up where youhave a different offer every two
days or things like that.
There are so many ways it canbe looking more like a launch,
where you're really sellingsomething for a whole two weeks,
especially if the price ishigher.
(17:40):
