Some of the most common questions I get are around pricing: how to price and how to raise prices. 


It can be an emotional topic, fraught with resistance, doubt and fear. 


“What if my prices are too high and no-one buys”


“I’m already hearing ‘I can’t afford it’ so I can’t put my prices up even more”

I started out charging $5 for my writing gigs! I was so scared to raise my prices. My mind told me ‘no-one will buy!’


But I raised them. Little by little.

So today we're going to talkabout two of our favorite things
here on the show, which isastrology and money, and the

strategy the strategy mindsetand messaging to confidently
raise your prices to easily sella 5 to 10k plus priced high
ticket offer.
So raising your prices is oneof those things to get good at.
That is really going to changeyour life and business and it
can feel really scary.

(00:41):
We can come up against immenseinternal resistance and we can
waste so much freaking time andenergy ruminating and
questioning and doubting ourprices, which is just not
necessary, and obviously it'ssuch a big fat waste of time to
undercharge when you actuallycould be charging so much more
money.
So let's talk about it, let'sunpack it and obviously I talk a

(01:02):
lot about my journey with thisin my book, the Six Figure
Creative, available on Amazoneverywhere, and I share really
the whole story of how I wentfrom charging $5, my writing
gigs when I first started out asan entrepreneur to, you know,
selling packages at 10k plus.
And in the book I share themoney mindset, prompts and a lot

(01:24):
of simple, fun exercises, likemy post-it note method, like
writing down my next levelincome goal on the post-it on my
laptop.
That really guided me toincrease my prices very quickly.
That led to me doubling myincome two years in a row and
growing to six figures withinthat time from, yeah, charging
$5 for a writing gig to chargingthousands of dollars for my

coaching programs.
That enabled me to start tobring in six figures a year in
my business.
And this is one of the mostcommon questions I get asked
about, which is how do I pricemy work?
And I have very specificanswers and guidance for that
question.
So I wanted to dive into someof the important pieces here
today to empower you to fuckingraise your prices.

(02:10):
Stop undercharging.
You know your work islife-changing and valuable.
You know that you deserve to bepaid abundantly and you know
that your work is worth it,right, and maybe there's a lot
of voices in your head that aretelling you otherwise.
So let's dive in.
So, beyond just the mindsetaround this, which obviously is

(02:31):
a super, super, super importantfoundation that, if it's not
there, will undermine absolutelyeverything else you do in
attempting to raise your pricesand sign clients at those new
prices.
But there are very specificshifts in strategy and messaging
that I was really intuitivelyguided to once I set the
intention to raise my prices.
So I also want to tell you theparts of your chart that you can

(02:54):
look to for specific strategyand guidance in your business so
that you can feel confident toraise your prices and have the
experience that I do withselling high ticket offers,
which is that it's super fun andeasy to attract what I like to
call dream, dream, dreamsoulmate clients who are just
amazing people who are reallyhyped about your work and who

(03:14):
you are, which makes them superexcited and ready to pay my you
know five to 10k prices that Icharge for my offers.
I don't have to handleobjections.
People generally just pop up inmy inbox when they're ready to
buy my offers and the entiresales experience feels easy,

(03:35):
authentic and super fun.
And it obviously was not thatway always and I've built a lot
of skills around having thatconversation in my content and I
used to do a lot of sales callsand you know objection handling
and I learned really the salespsychology of buying and that's
what I teach in my contentstrategy with my clients now and
I want that for you.
So first up, let's talk aboutmessaging.

(03:57):
So this is my personal opinion,which is to stop wasting time
on content that is notstrategically targeted to sell
your high ticket offer.
I'm talking about behind thescenes food pics, lifestyle pics
without making it relevant tothe journey of your client.
You know we've all been thereposting life updates for easy

(04:19):
likes without actuallyintentionally positioning
yourself as the trusted guideand in the way that you serve
your clients and you know noshade if you just like, really
want to do this and you reallyfeel pulled to do this.
But I'm of the mind that if I'mgoing to put the time and the
energy and the effort intoshowing up, I might as well be

(04:39):
showcasing my leadership and myskills in a way that very
intentionally guides soleclients into your high ticket
offer, so that any piece of mycontent that somebody new lands
on is going to be working for meto do that right.
There's not going to be anyconfusion about who I am from my
content online.
And another thing is just kindof blindly following inspiration

(05:00):
and intuition without keepingto a very intentional sales
strategy for your offer andobviously you can follow
inspiration and intuition withinthat clear, intentional sales
strategy.
But if you're just going off ontangents like I've tried that
before and it doesn't work andit can lead to just attracting
people who aren't the right fit,which leads to getting nose on
sales calls, which leads to justtime, energy wasted and a lot

(05:23):
of frustration.
So I'm never just posting forlikes or to share life updates
just because, um, because Idon't want to spend my whole
life on the internet.
So when I do show up, it's withintention.
Okay, so what do we focus onthem?
The key focus is personalstorytelling focused around the
transformation that your workprovides.

(05:44):
So the ways to turn up the dialon this so that it's doing a
better job for you and actuallyleading to sales, is to just
listen to this podcast all thetime, because this is pretty
much what I'm talking about inevery episode.
But it's also to really crankup your confidence, which we're
going to dive into next.
It's also to really checkyourself that you're getting

(06:07):
vulnerable and that you're beinghuman and that you're showing
your own perfections.
We're going to unpack this more, but also what's really
important is to be clearlycommunicating how your work
solves your client's problem inlanguage that they understand,
not in your high level industryjargon, and really being able to
communicate that repetitivelyin succinct and relevant selling

(06:29):
points.
This is, honestly, the majorityof the work that I do with
clients behind the scenes isgetting really clear on what
those selling points are andthose story points and then
drilling them to be like youneed to use this on repeat and
let's find you know a milliondifferent angles for you to talk
about these points in yourcontent so that every piece of

(06:49):
content can lead to a buyer andlead to a high ticket sale.
And please, psa like I will saythis until I am blue in the face
, which I'm doing all day longwith my clients your story is
the reason why people hire you.
It's not because your content'spretty.
It's not because of yourlifestyle.
Well, I mean, your lifestyle isrepresentation of your story.

(07:11):
It's not because you're perfect.
It's not because you're theperfect weight, the perfect
height, the perfect age.
Charging the perfect price isnone of these things.
It's the full complexity ofyour human story and the
brilliance and the genius thatyou have created and the results
that you've created and thechallenges that you've overcome
and how you're leading yourselftoday.
So be generous in sharing yourstory.

(07:34):
And my absolute favorite part ofyour astrology chart to tap
into stories to tell that reallybuild trust and genuine
connection more quickly thanabsolutely any other type of
content is your Chiron sign.
Because when we realize thateverybody has that part of their
life where they have facedrepetitive challenges and you
find the connections to how thathas brought you so many skills,

(07:56):
wisdom and tools that now makeyou such a valuable resource for
your clients, you are onto agoldmine of information about
yourself that will quicklydemonstrate your value and
trustworthiness in yourstorytelling, which leads to
clients way faster.
So if you think I soundrepetitive, just know everybody
holds back.
Everybody is holding back.

(08:18):
Every single client I work withvery inconveniently forget to
include personal story in theircontent pieces really clearly
communicate your work and whoit's for, but it can really
quickly become so easy to leanon that and to feel really

(08:42):
comfortable in that becauseyou're like well, I'm doing the
right thing, I'm being focusedwith my messaging, but if it
becomes too depersonalized andpeople can't feel you and they
can't read your story in thework that you show up to share
in your content online.
Why would they pick you rightwhen they could pick 10,000

(09:03):
other people?
So get this tattooed on yourhand, put a post-it note on your
screen, share your story, begenerous and you know it can
obviously feel challenging toconsistently show up and be
vulnerable while being fullyhuman and also staying cohesive
within your brand.
So you're not all over theplace and you can actually

(09:25):
become easily recognizable andeasily referable for the work
that you do, and this is reallythe intention of your brand and
the intention of your brandstorytelling.
So a power placement in yourchart that can really really
help with this is understandingyour midheaven, which can help
you to see the common threads ofyour work and message that you
are here to be known for andreally all the iterations that

(09:48):
have evolved for you throughoutyour life.
And as a general rule, I alwaysask myself is this thing that I
want to create or put out orwrite about in alignment and
resonance with my midheaven?
And if yes, then I know it's onbrand and I can also find the
midheaven relevant contentangles to talk about almost any

(10:08):
aspect of my life and work,which makes being fully me,
unrestricted and self-expressedin my brand really easy and fun
without running the risk ofbecoming scattered or confusing
or distracting people from thework that we're here to do.
In my offer that I want peopleto sign up for, so making it
clearer and easier to focus onour personal storytelling will

(10:32):
make it less likely that we willforget or fall into that
resistance, because we do tendto resist getting personal in
our storytelling.
It is a built in protectivemechanism, which is why it's so
so, so, so, so important to workon mindset hand in hand with
our strategy and messaging.
So to confidently raise yourprices and pitch your work at

(10:55):
five to 10,000 plus price tag,you have to do three very
important things.
The first thing is to beabsolutely unquestionably
connected to the value that youbring, and this work is
absolutely unavoidable andnecessary to succeed at selling
high ticket.
You can't have a doubt in yourmind that this is going to be
transformation for people whenthey're paying you that much
money, doubt in your mind thatthis is going to be a

(11:15):
transformation for people whenthey're paying you that much
money.
And this is really a mindset.
It's you choosing to flush thedoubt down the toilet and
replace them with all of themany, many, many, many, many
reasons why you and your work isso freaking valuable to your
client.
And when you do this, thedoubts stop getting in the way

(11:38):
and they stop like putting onthe brake pedal that make you
resist or procrastinate or takea long time or make it feel
really, really hard to show upand pitch your offer or ask for
the sale, which can reallysabotage your launch.
And then, when you do this, youfind it way easier and more fun
to show up and actually pitchand sell your work in deeply

(11:59):
authentic ways, which leads togenuinely compatible client
relationships and surprisinglyeasy sales.
Yes, even if you just raisedyour rates by 300%.
So the most powerful part ofyour chart to look at to
understand how to print moneyand understand the deep reasons
why people want to hire you andpay you to help them is your
Venus sign.
So this is such a great placeto dive into when you're doing

(12:21):
that mindset work around yourvalue.
And then the most importantstrategic piece that's going to
make all of this actually workand leads to clients and sales
is to position your offer aroundyour highest value contribution
.
Not well, I'm kind of good atthis and I'm good at this and
this and I could do this, or Ifeel inspired to do this Like no
, no, no, no, no.

(12:42):
To really stand out and toconfidently charge high ticket
prices, you have to get clear onthe most valuable problem that
you can solve for your clientsand to be able to make that
really clear in your offer.
So maybe you're wonderingexactly how to turn insights

specific mindset exercises willactually put an end to doubting
that you are capable of chargingmuch more for your work.
