I'm Sarah Mack.
I'm here to help you become asix-figure creative by filling

So I've created a specialthree-part series for you around

astrology and marketing, andwe're going to dive in to kick
this off today, talking aboutovergiving Anyone familiar with
doing that, raise your hand.
This is a pattern that is reallythe main problem that my work

seeks to solve, and obviously Ifocus very heavily on the
financial part of thisconversation.
But recently, in diving into mychart, I've discovered some of
the other elements of my ownpatterns that you know, led me

to do this quite badly and, inthe shifting of these patterns,
has led me to create the results.
That, you know, is the workthat I now help clients with
today.
So I want to share with youthree signs in your chart and
look at which house they fallunder, so that you can get some

(02:21):
of those deeper insights aroundwhere you might be over giving.
And maybe you've done a lot ofwork around this and you're like
I'm so much better at this.
That's kind of the conversationthat I was in.
And then, when I came upon thesepatterns and also how prevalent
and repetitive they are, itjust reminded me that there's
always another level and to lookat.

(02:43):
Where can I do that deeper work?
Where can I look at the shadowsthat I might still be embodying
, even in small degrees?
Because you know, especiallywhen it comes to money, it's
pretty freaking obvious how farwe have to go right.
Like I live in America, youknow there's literally no limit
to how much money you can makeand spend here, as is true of

(03:08):
many other places in the world,but enough is a very subjective
term.
So we can be comfortable, wecan be wealthy, but there's
always going to be another levelof freedom and creative
fulfillment and, no matter howmany patterns of scarcity we've,
you know, picked through andshifted and risen above and

(03:32):
created tools and just differentways to respond to them, so we
no longer give our power away tothem as we are stepping more
and more into our next levels ofwork.
That's the thing thing about apattern right it always comes
back.
So it's always so powerful torevisit this question of where
might I still be overgiving toomuch?

(03:54):
And you might be doing this inyour business.
You might be doing this in yourclient relationships.
You might be doing this in yourfamily relationships, with your
health and your body.
You might be doing thisfinancially, with the
investments that you're making.
And you know there's no clearcut right or wrong around these
things, particularly when itcomes to business.
So let's dive in and talk aboutit so you can reflect on some

(04:18):
places where you can just, youknow, make some tweaks and
tighten up some of thesepatterns to open up space to
receive more wealth, morefreedom, more creative
self-expression, more impactfrom a place of overflow rather
than overgiving.
So something that's super coolthat I've been seeing more and

(04:43):
more in using our astrologychart to understand the patterns
that play out in our businessand money is seeing this in my
clients in the work I've beendoing in the Cosmic Copy
Mastermind.
It's so freaking cool how ourastrology chart will actually
give us the same patterns andthe same conversations in

multiple ways, through ourdifferent placements and our
different houses, and when wesee the same pattern come up
again and again and again, weknow like these are some of our
major life themes that we arereally here to master and to
overcome, and obviously many ofour challenges are actually the

things that produce some of ourmost powerful and most valuable
skill sets.

So, are you over giving in yourbusiness, in your content, in

Let's talk about some of thesigns of over giving.
One of them is that you're notmaking any sales.
You know this is number one,and if this is the case for you,
all that tells us is thatyou're not prioritizing the
right things or that makingsales isn't actually your
priority right now.
But if it is your priority andit's not happening, it's not

(08:44):
because there's something wrongwith you.
It's not because your businessis broken.
We simply get to reshift yourpriorities.
Maybe you're just not pitchingenough or well enough or
consistently enough, you know.
Another sign that you'reovergiving is that you're just
working a ton and you feel likethat output isn't really being
reciprocated.
So, obviously, if you're in theearlier stages of an idea or

(09:08):
your business, this also mightjust be a question of timing.
But I think we know that rightLike just be a question of
timing.
But I think we know that rightlike it's a question of if our
work isn't matching ourexpectations and we can
sometimes be focused orprioritizing the wrong things
for the stage of business thatwe're in.
So often we're looking atpeople who are many, many stages

(09:30):
ahead of us and we're trying tocopy their strategy, thinking
it's going to work for us,instead of really keeping a
simple focus on what'saccessible and available and
easy for the current capacityand phase and stage and skill
level that you are currently in.
Another sign that you might beovergiving is if you feel
resentment, whether that's topeople in your audience or maybe

(09:53):
to your clients.
This could be a sign of, youknow, having poor boundaries or
maybe even working with thewrong kinds of clients who
aren't actually compatible foryour highest level of work.
That would really be the mostcreatively fulfilling way of
working for you.
So obviously I could tell you,you know, my strategic content
guidelines for your free contentor conversion events like

(10:15):
masterclasses, live streams,podcasts, launch events, blah,
blah, blah, and that's obviouslywhat I do inside my mastermind
and my work with private clients.
But what I want to invite youinto today is really to go
deeper, is really to go deeperto actually use your astrology

(10:37):
chart to unearth the root causeof where you may be over giving
or have some energy leaks thatare actually sabotaging your
cash flow.
So I'm going to tell you alittle bit about where this sign
is impacting you through thehouses, but first I'm going to
tell you which three signs Iwant you to look for in your
chart.
So the first one is Libra, andwhat you want to do is look, you

(11:01):
know, around the edge of yourchart and see where Libra falls
and see what the house number itis ruling in your chart,
because that is the area whereyou may be falling into some of
the shadow aspects of Libra.
So that is people pleasing,that is, putting everybody else

(11:21):
first, and when we want to be ina place of balance, which is
really the light side of Libra.
This is the.
You know, the balancedexpression of Libra is balance
Is everything having its place,and that doesn't mean everything
has, you know, an exactlyequally distributed amount of

(11:42):
your time and energy, but it'sreally about harmony so you're
able to flow, and maybe thatmeans right now, the flow in
your life, like family is reallypriority or health is really
priority, but you're able toflow with your money and
business and to allow thatbalance to shift, to support
these different phases.
And Libra rules my second house, which is, you know, money,

(12:04):
self-worth values, and this is alesson that my business has
really taught me.
You know, being an entrepreneurand seeing that everything gets
to have its place andeverything has different seasons
.
And there are some seasonswhere, you know, I have full
energy, I have lots of time, Ihave full focus, I have
stability, I can go all in on mywork and business, and there

(12:25):
have been so many times in mybusiness, like the majority of
the time when I started mybusiness, when I was in the
middle of a really bad burnout,when I've been through health
stuff, when I've been throughpersonal relationship stuff,
where my business has had tosupport me as my personal life
has taken up a much larger sliceof the harmony pie, right?

(12:49):
So through all of this, you know, knowing that money is
self-care, so taking care of ourbusiness, taking care of our
cash flow, like that is a healthgoal, right?
Because when we don't have that, the amount of stress that is
put on our body and on ouremotions and on our families is
unhealthy.
So, you know, obviously, afterour health, after our bodies and

(13:10):
after our families, ourbusiness goals have to come
first.
And guess what?
Your business goals come fromyour life.
Right, and this is actuallysuch an important conversation,
because if your business goalsare coming from what you've seen
other people do on the internetand you think you want, which

(13:30):
there's nothing inherently wrongwith that, but if it's not
matched to a true desire and anauthentic vision of your life
based on your values, based onwho you are and where you are,
right, then sometimes we're kindof like chasing a mirage or
we're chasing something thatisn't actually quite meant for

(13:54):
us right now in this phase.
So, paying attention to yourstrategy, to your priorities,
and really getting other peopleout of your head when you are
creating and really create foryou, for your pleasure, for your
unique strategy, for yourspecific goals.

(14:14):
And, yes, like your businessand your work, it's always going
to be in service.
That's never a question for thepeople in this community.
And you know some of my lessons, my Libra lessons with it being
in my second house have reallybeen to value myself, value
myself as my most valuable asset, to invest in myself, to listen

(14:36):
to myself and to trust that mydesires and my needs and needs
and my wants are actuallyguiding me towards what is best
for me.
And Libra also rules aestheticbeauty and I think as creatives,
we have to give ourselvespermission to go for what really
lights us up and what reallyinspires us.

(15:00):
And yeah, the shadow side ofthat for Libra can be this kind
of like superficial, surfacelevel looking nice, but I really
had to acknowledge my desiresfor the ways I wanted my life to
be more beautiful and not juston a surface level, because my
business strategy really cameout of that conversation.

(15:20):
I call it your dream life to dolist, like if you had a billion
dollars in the bank already andyou didn't have to do anything
for money.
What would you do with your day?
You know what would be thethings that you wouldn't want to
see on your calendar, and whatthat question usually brings up
is oh yeah, like I really dohave these genuine desires for
the work that I want to do inthe world and the impact that I

(15:41):
want to make, and if I could doit in any way, then these are
the ways that I would make spacefor beauty and pleasure and
really living my life to thefull with my relationships, with
my health.
You know, as a member of thiscommunity, as somebody who not
only gives and provides andserves, but also somebody who
receives.
So I always used to have likethe shadow side of how that

(16:03):
would play out for me and itstill occasionally creeps up
would be, yeah, like I reallystruggle to prioritize the
things that were just for me andI would even see, you know,
like my business and my work inthat way, even though that was
still being of service, whichwas is a real red flag for
overgiving.
But in the earlier phases, youknow, I was a digital nomad.
I was traveling all over theplace and I would have thoughts

(16:25):
like, oh well, if I book in aclient call when my partner has
a day off or when I'm visitingfamily, will it get in the way
of what they want to do?
Oh, I don't want to commit tothat.
And you know, and it took me awhile to be like, oh no, like my
business is only going tosucceed and thrive when I put
some real boundaries around itand make it a priority and allow

(16:45):
everyone else in my life tomake space for that.
You know that was thetransition of going out to work,
where there's a very hardboundary of, like I'm at work,
you can't bother me.
So being someone who's justalways around the house and you
know other people when they werealso in the house with me would
just treat me like I was therewhen I wasn't working and, you
know, ask me questions and askme for help with things and

(17:09):
invite me to things, and so thatwas a new set of boundaries
that I had to learn to navigate.
So it's things like that andmoney is going to flow into very
clear boundaries and it's onlygoing to continue to flow and to
be sustainable when there isbalance and Libra represents

(17:29):
justice and justice, you knowit's like what's right.
Where are you in rightrelationship to the work that
you're putting out, to the moneyand the support that you are
receiving, and to the, thecontribution and the um?
You know the respect and thesupport of all of the ecosystems

(17:53):
that you operate within,personally, professionally,
everywhere.
So you're gonna have a look andsee which house Libra rules and
just journal on what themeskind of come up for you around
these topics.
How have you expressed theseshadow sides?
How has that played out in yourbusiness and your money, even

(18:17):
if that originated in, you know,private personal relationships?
So the next sign I'm going toinvite you to look at is cancer,
because the shadow side ofcancer is being so caring that
you're sacrificing your ownneeds, and this is obviously a
very common pattern amongstentrepreneurs.

(18:39):
Whether it's caring or whetherit's addiction to the work or
just you know getting validationand meaning in our identities,
in being seen and appreciated byother people, whether that's
through our work or whetherthat's through you know the
people that we care for in ourpersonal lives.
Also, you know in the way thatwe have been raised in systems

(19:04):
of hierarchy and internalizedidentities that we have around
our value.
And you know, who are we to askfor?
X, y, z, wanting to avoidconflict and just saying yes,
you know, and kind of likebending over and overgiving to

(19:25):
keep the peace, because settingthe boundary would be
challenging, would feel likeit's not caring, and that's.
You know just how women havebeen conditioned in our cultures
that our value is in caring forothers.
Another shadow side of cancer iscaring too much, trying to help

(19:46):
everyone all at once, and Ifeel like that, yeah, this is
the shadow side of the delusionof the person who wants to save
the world right, which I feellike most of us visionaries are,
and that's kind of how westarted out is, you know,
feeling inspired to createpositive change in the world.
That's why we started ourbusinesses.
But this is an unhelpfuldelusion to think that we have

(20:10):
the capacity to help everyoneall at once, because we don't,
and this is not a strategicallysmart mission and it's not even
possible.
So you know, the lesson ofcancer is really like.
The deep, deep shadow side isburnout, and the lesson of
burnout as a recoverer, I havelearned this lesson well is that

(20:33):
when you are not functioning,nothing else does.
When you don't have your health,you pretty much don't have
anything in this world.
You can't contribute to anybodyelse.
You're probably not makinggreat money or even if you are,
it's highly unsustainable and isgoing to have an end date on it
.
In this world, you can'tcontribute to anybody else.
You're probably not makinggreat money, or even if you are,
it's highly unsustainable andis going to have an end date on
it.
So health has to come numberone and you know, self-care, not

(20:54):
only for our physical, mental,emotional and spiritual selves,
but also our financial selves.
So strategically prioritizingthe things that create financial
stability and support in ourwork and business.
And obviously there's alwaysgoing to be a learning curve,
right, and we're going to gothrough pivots.

(21:16):
So really being clear on whatthose priorities are and what
works for you.
And sometimes we get to thatinsight by just simply getting
clear on what is not working.
So have a look at where cancerfalls in your chart For me it's
the 10th and the 11th house andsee what comes up for you.

(21:37):
So 10th and 11th house isbusiness and community, and
that's definitely you know, andI think this is a really hard
one to navigate as anentrepreneur, particularly as a
content creator, because we getso much joy from creative
self-expression.
We want to create, because wewant to get our message out
there in the world and you know,I was obviously doing that

(21:59):
before I had learned to monetizeit, but I it was needing to to
build, build the skills of brandbuilding, you know, and
understanding what are thosestrategic pieces that allow me
to consistently get paid, thatallow me to continue to create
whatever I want and get mymessage out there and positively
impact people and buildcommunity.
So the next sign I want you tocheck out is Virgo, because the

(22:22):
shadow side of Virgo is thatperfectionistic, having really
really high expectations, neverquite feeling good enough and
sometimes over planning, andspending so much energy in
trying to control things insteadof really channeling that

(22:43):
energy towards the actions thatare going to produce the results
that you're planning.
So, when it's in balance, it'sall about having a grounded
structure that's healthy, thatproduces wellness through all
seasons of life, that's flexible, that's not super, super rigid
and not being too caught up inthe minutiae to see the big
picture, to be able to pivot orto open up to new ideas and I'm

(23:07):
a Virgo rising, so I used to be.
I used to spend so much timeplanning and never really seeing
anything through to fruition,and I had to build systems, you
know, systems of self-trust, andto really build the skills to
go with the flow, to trustmyself, to really build the
skills to go with the flow, totrust myself and to know that.

(23:29):
I really had to train myself toknow that half-assing it is
fine.
You know, when you have theseperfectionistic tendencies,
operating at your 50% is goodenough and that is, it's just a
deconditioning, right, it's adeconditioning of that like good
girl needing to be perfect allthe time that we have picked up
and really operating from themindset of being enough and the

(23:52):
mindset of enoughness, likewhatever I can get done today is
enough, whatever I'm able toput out today is enough, and
getting it to that point ofcompletion and publication, like
hitting send, you know, gettingit out of the planning phase
and recognizing that that canhappen so much more quickly and
powerfully when we learn tooperate in that way and this

(24:12):
massively shifted my money, mytime, freedom and my health, and
so so, so much of this comesdown to mindset, especially with
this Virgo placement, so seewhere these three signs fall in
your chart.
And obviously, if it's thefirst house, you can look to
themes of your identity and yourbody.
If it's your second house, youcan look to your values,

(24:35):
self-worth, money and sales.
Third house communication,mindset, your immediate
community.
Fourth house home, family,ancestral patterns.
Fifth house creativity, romance, children.
Sixth house day-to-day workhabits, your routines and your
health, your health habits.
Your seventh house isone-to-one relationships your

(24:58):
partner, clients, support peopleit's also your first child.
Eighth house other people'smoney, people it's also your
first child.
Eighth house other people'smoney.
Transformation, death, rebirth,shadow work.
Ninth house higher education,belief systems, philosophy,
long-distance travel, adventure.

(25:18):
Tenth house is your publicimage, your career and legacy.
Eleventh house is your widercommunity, friends, social media
and connective technology.
And twelfth house is yoursubconscious, social media and
connective technology.
And 12th house is yoursubconscious, your spiritual
life, mysticism and creativity.
So I can't wait to see whatinsights and breakthroughs come
up for you around these aspectsof your chart.
