Jennifer Logue (00:10):
Hello, everyone
and welcome to another episode
of creative space, a Podcastwhere we explore, learn and grow
and creativity together. I'myour host Jennifer Logue. And
you may have noticed that wedidn't have any episodes of
creative space the last fewSundays. So today, I wanted to
pop in to give you guys anupdate. I've been sick the last
(00:33):
few weeks with standard COVID.
Yep, it was my first timegetting COVID. And it knocked me
down. I'm still on the mend, because it was complicated by
some other health issues I'vebeen having. So I'm trying to be
as gentle with myself as I can.
Creative Space will continue.
But I need to take a few weeksto rest. And to get back to
(00:55):
100%, which is really hard forme to do. I'm checking off the
to do list getting things donekind of girls. So taking a step
back to take care of my body, mind and spirit can be hard,
especially when it's unexpected.
And that's something I know manyof us can relate to. Our society
is built on achievement andpushing through no matter what
(01:18):
the show must go on mind overmatter, you know the drill. But
as human beings, our bodies areour instrument. You don't have
to be an actor or singer ordancer. No matter what you're
creating. Our bodies are what wehave to work with. Just as you
wouldn't play a piano is out oftune or missing a few keys. As
I've gotten older, I've acceptedthat when we're out of tune
(01:40):
physically, mentally,emotionally, whatever, it's best
to just take a step back, takesome time, if you can to get
back in tune. The people youlove the people, you work with
family, friends, and you will bebetter for it. And we only get
one body in this life. If youbreak it, you can't just go to
(02:01):
the store and get a new one.
This is a lesson I learned thehard way a few years ago. But
that's another story for anotherday. Anyways, thanks for
listening to me ramble on abouthealth and creativity. And I
hope you take some time to dosomething nourishing and
rejuvenating for your bodytoday. Love it, respect it, care
for it like the Stratovariusthat it is. There is no one.
(02:24):
