Welcome to Episode 17! In today’s episode I share a really beautiful conversation with Miranda Kelton, who is a Portrait Photographer based in Bend & Portland Oregon, as well as Los Angeles, California. She creates imagery for individuals and businesses who are looking to elevate their visual branding and market their products & services.
I’ve worked with Miranda as a client myself and I can say that she not only creates gorgeous photography and is very knowledgable about personal branding, but she also brings an immense amount of creative sensitivity to the process. So if you happen to be in Oregon or California and need photos, I highly recommend checking out her work.
In today’s conversation we talk about Miranda’s work as a photographer. But we also deep dive into other aspects of the creative process and Miranda shares a lot of thoughts and struggles connected to the creative process that we can all relate to. She also shares very openly about what life has been like for her this year, especially in relation to having a creative career.
Enjoy the thoughts, wisdoms and insights shared in today’s conversation!

EPISODE QUOTES
“I had this idea in my mind that someday I’d get to this enlightened artist state, where I’ll never have creative blocks again. And I’ve come to realize that that’s really not true.” - Miranda Kelton
“Sometimes if I’m doing something creative other than photography, it’ll kind of have some weird crossover in my brain where it’ll open up different ideas for things I can do with photography, cause I’m doing a different thing creatively.” - Miranda Kelton

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
