Key Thoughts: [01:22] At times we all feel like we don’t know what we are supposed to be doing. [02:09] Our WHY clarifies our WHAT [02:39] Understanding God’s purpose gives clarity for our lives. [03:49] God always uses people to care for his people. [05:58] God relentlessly, persistently, and patiently pursues us. [08:01] The wrong WHY sends our lives the wrong way. [09:42] Jesus’ purpose was to show the world God’s all-inclusive love. [10:09] Jesus invites us to work alongside him [12:50] God is relentlessly pursuing his people and invites us to join him.
Invitation: Accept Jesus’ invitation. Evaluate everything through the WHY of Jesus Pray: Jesus, please give me your heart to carry out your purpose.
Discussion Questions: 1. Who is someone (real or fictional) that seems to have a clear “WHY” or purpose to their lives? What made them stand out to you?
2. How would you describe Jesus’ WHY in your own words?
3. Read 1 Corinthians 9 vv.19-23. Paul’s “WHY” gave him clarity on “WHAT” he should do in various situations. Where could accepting the same “WHY” give your life clarity?
4. What does it mean to you to accept Jesus’ invitation to work alongside him? How can you start this week?
