Yvette has documented her family’s recipes and teaches, speaks and writes about her home cooking which focuses on her native south Texas Mexican American cuisine. Yvette’s family recipes have been handed down verbally for multiple generations, which she shares in her cookbook which is as much about the cuisine as it is about the people, culture and place.
