You are the, uh, second guest.
That we are going to play thegame.

(01:11):
Where should we begin?
Which is a game aboutstorytelling and just breaking
the ice.
It gives the audience a chanceto get to know you and get to
know me a little bit.
Would you like to be the firststoryteller, or would you like
me to I would be absolutely on.
You're gonna be first.
Let's do it.
I'll be first.
Okay.
Yeah, let's do it.
I'm gonna give you this one.
This seems like a good, okay, soI'm, I'm gonna read it.
You're gonna read it and thenanswer it.

(01:31):
Okay.
You ready?
I'm ready.
All right.
A decision I've been.
Ooh.
Maybe not, maybe not so much.
An easy one coming on thispodcast.
You've been avoiding this.
No, I'm kidding.
I'm kidding.
Jesus.
No, I I I was excited when youfirst a decision.
I've been avoiding don't, Idon't think there's a decision

(01:55):
I've been avoiding.
Sure, yeah.
Yeah.
Like that.
That's the way I try to live mylife.
I mean, maybe I'm not aware ofsomething, but if there was a
decision that was avoiding, like, I try to be a very
self-aware person, feel like Iwould know.
All right.
I, I gotta give you a differentone.

(02:15):
Okay.
All right.
Here you go.
Okay.
Or if you wanna dive into thatman.
Do you wanna ask me questions?
I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'mnot mentally awake enough yet to
deep dive, so let's, that's fairenough.
Let's just stick with the, thequestion.
Sorry, man.
I, I just don't, I don't thinkthat's very healthy of you.
Yeah.
You're a very, you're verywell-balanced individual.
Well done.
I appre.
Thank you.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
I appreciate that.
All right.
Second one.

(02:35):
The worst kiss I've ever had.
Oh, wow.
All right.
The worst kiss I've ever had.
I mean, what comes to mind is,uh, It was awkward.
It was just weird, you know?
It's been the bottle.
Uh, excellent.
Yeah, it was just like, so itlanded on this girl and we're

(02:59):
like, all right, let's go, let'sgo kiss.
And we went in the center and Iwas like, maybe, how old was I?
I was 11 or 12 or something.
And it was just terrible, dude.
Yeah.
It just, it just wasn't good.
And you remember this?
I remember it clearly.
Matt, do you remember who shewas?
I know her.
Her exact name.
I feel like I shouldn't give theexact name.

(03:19):
No, no, that's not what I wasgetting at.
I was just wondering youremember who else was there,
where you were.
Oh, for sure.
You remember all the details.
Sure.
I was, I know all the details, all the names, everything man.
Cause I feel like when we'relike that age, like those things
are so, like those moments areso little.
Yep.
But we remember them for therest of our lives, so.
Well, they're big moments too.
They're big moments.

(03:40):
Yeah.
At that.
At the time, right?
Yeah.
And still now.
I mean, if you remember all ofit, if you remember whose house
you were at, who else was there?
Yeah.
The exact name of the girl.
Everything.
That's cool.
The smell in the house.
The smell.
The smell.
How?
How wet the kiss was.
How wet the kiss was.
Everything, dude.
Kiss off.

(04:00):
Yeah, man.
It's like a delic.
Good.
Yeah.
All right.
Hit me.
All right.
You ready?
What's my first one?
All right, Spencer hit me.
An experience that shaped who Iam that few people know about.
Oh goodness.
So let me salude this, though.
That's a word.
Prelude.
I, I know this word.

(04:21):
Is that a word?
Pollute?
Yeah.
So I, I gave you this cardbecause I feel like you're an
interesting person.
I want to understand No, ifthere was an experience.
one, I don't, I wouldn't saythat this shaped me necessarily.
but I had a friend who was, hewas into some gang related

(04:43):
things.
Mm-hmm.
Got shot seven times, or 11times.
Seven, 11, ding, ding, ding.
Um, lived through it.
Wow.
Sort of had a wake up call of.
I need to stop before this takesmy life.
Stop getting shot.
Yes.
No, stop r running around withgangs.
Right, right.
And getting shot.
She should probably stop gettingshot.

(05:03):
Yeah.
and he, he had a wife and Iforget if they needed money or
something, but I was running ahealth club at the time.
She needed a job.
I gave her one, gave her a jobas our front desk attendant.
And there was a day where wewere going back and forth over.
And he knows me.

(05:25):
We had been friends for quitesome time.
He knows I'm very sarcastic.
He knows that if I'm making funof you, it's because I love you,
not because I'm actually makingfun of you.
I'm the same way.
Perfect.
Yeah.
make fun of me, bro.
I will.
By the time this is over, I'll,I'll call you small or
something.
You stupid.
You're ti you're tiny Littlearms.
And so during our leg day today,we should do deadlifts or

(05:47):
something, and he's making upall these excuses and I was
like, why are you being such alittle princess about this?
Mm-hmm.
Anyways, me calling himspecifically a princess, got him
real upset and so he drove overto the gym in a hot rage.
Wow.
Came storming into the lobby.
Through this huge fit and wasknocking shit over, knocking
supplements off the shelves.
Wow.
Yelling no one calls me aprincess.

(06:08):
you don't have any self-respect.
Let's go.
Let's go into the fucking streetright now.
Holy shit.
Right now.
And so he made this big scene.
We did not fight.
I was like, dude, you need toget the fuck outta here and
calm.
Figure about down princessthing, man.
That's like something happenedin his past.
Someone called him a princessand then shot him seven times.
Yeah, exactly.

(06:29):
Don't be a princess.
Just like, so.
Anyways, after that incident, his wife still worked there
obviously.
And I called the corporateoffices, human resources manager
essentially, and was like, listen, I don't want to go to
this, this, like, this is mygym, this is my house.
I don't want his wife hereanymore.
She's an Atwell employee.
It's California.
That's fucking exercise the shitand get her outta here.
Right.
And they wouldn't let me.

(06:49):
Really?
So then what?
After that, I, shortly after Igraduated from college, got a
job at, with a professionalservices firm, that experience
told showed me that I wouldnever, ever again employ a
friend.
Wow.
I would help a friend if someonecame to me for like advice or to
help them get a job, I would dothat.

(07:09):
But after that incident I waslike, this is why people say you
shouldn't employ friends, cuzshit like this happens.
Shit happens, and thencomfortable situation.
Yep.
So you ran a health club?
I didn't know that.
I did.
It's crazy.
Cool, man.
You didn't research me.
I didn't research.
I spent an hour researching you.
I trying, I'll, I'll do it afteryou from the podcast.

(07:31):
No, I'll do it after thepodcast.
Okay, fair enough.
Yeah, man, 11 years I got thejob on accident.
I started in the kids areawatching the kids.
Fast forward 11 years, I helpedopen a few of their clubs,
closed a few of their clubs, turned a profit on one of their
underperforming clubs.
Dude, it was a really goodcareer.
Good for you, man.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
It was fun.
It was awesome.
Have you worked at a gymformally?

(07:52):
I have.
I have.
Yeah.
I worked at, um, I mean, beforeI started the business I was
doing Lifetime Fitness.
I was working at, um, Equinoxfor a little bit.
And yeah, man, just wasn't,wasn't up to par.
Like I like having my ownbusiness.
I like, uh, making my own hoursand also just the whole, oh,

(08:13):
yeah.
Yeah.
I'm good bro.
Thank you.
Oh, thanks man.
I appreciate it.
Um.
But yeah, I like, you know, whenI was there, I'm like, this
isn't, this isn't for me.
So the whole corporate, likelifestyle isn't for me.
It's the way that I, I'm veryfriendly the way I speak, and I
used to be just in general, Iused to work for yelp.com and

(08:34):
just the, the vibe, dude.
oh, you know, do the papers andstuff like that.
Do the papers.
Do you do the papers or Hey, didyou send that memo?
Or if somebody's pissed atsomebody, what they would say.
Rebecca, you know, or instead ofjust being like, Hey, Rebecca,

(08:56):
what was that?
You know what I mean?
Corporate talk.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But did anyone tell you when youwere at Lifetime, did anyone
tell you you had to talk like acorporate trainer or did you
just feel like you had to talklike a corporate trainer
lifetime?
Um, that's a good question.
That's a good question.
No one told me to.
Lifetime was good.
That was a great, that was agreat company, but like office

(09:17):
sort of position, lifetimedidn't work because, uh, it's
based on the, the businessmodel, they would take too much
money.
Right.
So we would charge like$1,400.
Wow.
Like a really, a really crazynumber all the time.
10%, 10% commission.

(09:38):
And then you'd get like, Certainpercentage when you fulfill the
session.
Which, but they, they take themajority of it and then taxes
wasn't worth it.
Did you have a, the health clubthat you had was at a gym,
right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
How was the training protocolover there?

(09:58):
I want to say it was at least 5050.
That's fair.
If not more.
Yeah.
The trainers took the bulk of itreally.
I'm trying to remember, cuz thiswas over four years ago that I
left and the trainers werepretty self-sufficient, so I

(10:19):
didn't micromanage them at all.
But I want to say like if youbought a session alone, it was
80 bucks for an hour.
Oh, got you.
Okay.
But they were taking 50 or 60.
That's good.
Something like that.
A solid, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Lifetime was like one 20.
1 21 30 a session.
You have the amount, and thennow I wonder what the numbers

(10:41):
actually are.
I'm gonna have to text someone.
Right.
What are, what are the marginsthese days?
I like a hundred percent.
And then give, you know, evenlike 90, 30%, even if it was
like 90 10, like 90 to thetrainer, 10% to the gym.
That'd be Yeah, bet that'd be a,I know it's a for profit
company.
I know that would never happen.
It's, but yes, it's half it'stough business.
I wonder, so I had a guy.

(11:03):
Or was it Hedaya?
No, it's Hedaya.
Yeah.
She was talking about how she washe wants to open a gym one day.
Nice.
I wonder if she was the, if shewas the first person to open a
gym where the trainers get like90%, 5% of what they make.
Yeah.
What kind of talent she wouldattract it.
Be a mate do be, it would beincredible because then all the
trainers would want to workthere.
She could be super selectiveabout who she hires.

(11:26):
Absolutely.
Versus just hiring like anyonethat applies.
Yep.
I wonder if that would changethe culture.
The trainers, how they sell, howthey train the members.
I don't know, dude, it would, itwould change the game.
It would absolutely change thegame because what happens now is
a lot of times trainers go tothese companies that are new.
They don't understand, if theyjust got their certification, a

(11:47):
lot of the times they work atcorporate, which is, which is
totally fine.
And honestly, that's what I didand worked because they taught
me so.
That I use in my business.
I'm not bagging on them at allif they're, if they're listening
to this dude.
But, if, if she creates a gymthat has a, a, a community where
Hey, we actually really look outfor our trainers, it would be
incredible.
And something like 90 10, ifthat worked for that business,

(12:09):
she would attract amazingclientele in terms of trainers.
Well, Jim should be gettingtheir primary revenues from the
should.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We went to, do you like jazz?
Do like jazz music.
Dude, you've been to Parker Jazzlounge?
I haven't.
I thought they were gonna sayElephant room or something.
no, but I've heard of them.
Yeah.
That's a good job.
Me and friend, a friend went toParker on a whim and he was
talking about how, all the, hismain band players had been with

(12:32):
them for over 20 plus years.
Oh, wow.
And he made a joke and he waslike, y'all want to know how I
retain these people?
And you know, the audience waslike, yeah.
Like I pay them.
Well, big surprise.
No way, man.
Well, I made a joke.
at my gym.
My gym.
The gym.
I used to work for our personaltrainer.
Turnover was high because firstof all, it's so hard when you're
first starting, you know, youget your certificate, you go and

(12:54):
take the test, and then youthink that, oh, like all these
clients are just gonna come tome.
You don't realize you have tosell all, like you have to work
hard.
It's hard work, man.
Yeah, yeah.
Which is good though.
I think it's good for the.
For the kids.
It is good for the kids.
It's good for the kids, yes.
To learn, learn the ropes andyou know nothing in life as you
know man, obviously you worked.

(13:16):
It's one of those things that'seasy.
Mm-hmm.
Speaking of working out, butthat's why I love working out
man, is cuz it, that's notsomething that someone could
buy.
Nope.
So when you see somebody withlike an amazing physique, it's
like this per worked his.
Hours.
Hours and hours.

(13:37):
Hours, right?
Days, days, days.
I'll tell you, when I look inthe mirror and I see my body, I
see, and this might sound weird, but I see the hours that I've
worked on, it's there.
If I go to the gym an hour and ahalf, that's, that's about my
normal time you do in the math, and I do that five times a week.

(14:01):
And I do that 52 weeks a year.
I don't even know if I want tohear this yet.
And I have been doing that forthe last 17 years.
17, good for you.
And then I divide that by,that's minutes.
So then how many minutes in aday?
Hang on, I'm gonna get there.
Uh, come back calculator, savethat number 60 times 24.

(14:23):
Then take 24 60.
That No, no, no, no, no.
That that perfect.
Oh, I knew that number.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (14:42):
So you relapsed a few times.
It wasn't a one and done.
Do you remember on September2nd, 2020, do you remember much
about that day, specificallywhat you were doing, what you
were thinking about?
Um, anything along those lines?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (14:56):
that.
The only thing that I rememberfrom that day was just going on
my phone and I had like a soberapp and I was just like,
starting now.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (15:05):
well is it was just like a day
counter.
Like you input a day and it's soSeptember 3rd, it'll tell you
you have one day, September 4th,two days, something like that.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (15:12):
exactly.
So it was just, it was called IAm Sober.
Okay.
Not, not a very creative name.

Microphone (Scarlett (15:16):
creative, I am sober

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (15:17):
I am sober.
I am Jew.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (15:19):
am sober.
That's, that's, that's a newone.
That's like a empowering thing.
Like I am ju

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (15:25):
I am

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (15:26):
It's beautiful.
Jew.
Um, what was I gonna ask you?
So you started your app, uh, youmentioned that life was, you
were at rock bottom.
What did that look like for you?
Just not feeling like the main thing
was just feeling, uh, terribleexisting, to be honest with like

(15:46):
walking around, I felt notconfident.
My self-esteem was low.
My energy was low.
Um, I was in my mom's basement, she was there.
I feel so bad for my mom andlike we, we've, you know, we
have a great relationship now.
But imagine from herperspective, like son is just
like in rock bottom drinkingevery day.

(16:07):
To be honest.
Drinking by myself in thebasement, bro.
Really, really bad spot.
And, I, I made the change causeI knew where that would lead to.
It would lead to the sameperpetual stuff.
It would get worse and worse andworse.
So the only thing I rememberthat day is just making a
decision.
And that's when I, I think Ientered the gym like right then.

(16:28):
Were you working out while you were
drinking too?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (16:30):
you No, no, no, no.
I
you ever worked out before you were
25?
Consistently?
You not consistently no.
Did you play sports in high school
or anything like

Microphone (Scarlett (16:39):
Lacrosse.
I wasn't athletic dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (16:41):
Lacrosse guys are pretty

Microphone (Scarlett (16:42):
athletic.
Yeah.
But I, I, I wasn't

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (16:49):
I tried.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (16:49):
yeah.
Thank you bro.
I, I appreciate it.
I, but no,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (16:52):
To the best of your memory, what
was your and your mom'srelationship like while you were
still drinking and when you wereliving in her basement?

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (16:58):
Laughing It was strained, dude.
Just like, based on thatdescription, like you could
tell, like obviously it's astrained relationship and like
she had so much love for me.
It's just like I didn't havelove for myself.
So that must be like, some ofthe biggest pain that a mother
can feel is just like my son isdestroying himself.

(17:22):
You know what I mean?
So part of that decision was notjust for me, but also like for
her, it was for my future familytoo.
Like, I didn't even think aboutme.
I was like, dude, like my lifeis going to be a perpetual hell
if I don't.
Changed this aspect of my lifebecause the drinking was
avoiding everything.
So the last three years havejust been like, show me, like,

(17:44):
show me what I need to know.
Show me the fear, show me theanger.
Show me like what I'm nothealing from.
And the gym was a place I alwayswent to when I wanted to drink.
And it was always a place I wentto when uh, I wasn't feeling
good and there was always justsomething to work on, bro.
And that, that's like kind ofhow it all started because I
didn't know what I wanted to doat 25 and now I have a purpose

(18:06):
for my life.
Crazy.
And so like I'm talking to somepeople who are like 23, 22, like
just in networking groups.
Like, I don't know what I wannado, man.
I'm like, dude, it's okay.
And people told me that too andI was just like, that's
bullshit.
So I don't know.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (18:20):
too.
I think it's okay to not knowwhat you want to do

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (18:23):
okay.
It is no, but I mean, that'sfine.
Like they told me that, I'mlike, yeah, right.
You know what I mean?
And then that was

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (18:28):
flipped.
Gotcha.
That's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (18:30):
I told them that and I hope that
they're like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (18:32):
Listen.
Yeah.
you said you felt terrible.
What, what'd you feel Terribleabout?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (18:38):
It's myself, bro.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (18:39):
What?
About
just, I had no confidence, man.
Like, I just, I didn't feel goodabout, um, like I didn't keep,
my word was a big one.
And I feel like as men, likewhen I say I'm gonna come here
tonight, like, I'm gonna comehere no matter what, because I
gave you my word.
I don't know you.
But it's also for myself cuzit's like, My word is my bond.

(19:01):
Yeah.
So I was saying I was gonna dothings and just didn't follow
through, um, and didn't want tobe me, bro.
It's hard to explain, but Ijust, I didn't, I had to drink
to go out.
I had to drink to be social.
You, you never, you never younever felt that dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (19:18):
Of course I did.
Okay.
But we're, this is your, this isyour episode.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (19:21):
I appreciate it.
Deep dive

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (19:23):
into, into your life
dive, bro.
Deep dive.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (19:25):
when you said, I feel terrible, I, it
hinted it, maybe there issomething specific, whether it
was a breakup, the way you wereraised.
Um, I don't know, I don't wannaput words in your mouth, but
like, when I fear feel terrible,it's usually because of
something specific.
Mm-hmm.
a boss chewed me out, a friendrejected me a date that went

(19:46):
wrong.
Like, there's usually some sortof source.
It's not like I just wake up andI'm like, oh, actually, like I
know what the, the feel, I knowwhere the feeling is coming from
to a certain extent.
So that's sort of why I wasgetting at.
were you drinking all day, everyday?
Was it primarily just at night?
Like were you holding you down aday job at the time?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (20:03):
Well, I can jump into the other
question though.
So like, in terms like, I, Ithink a big part of it was the
relationship I had with myparents.
So my father, I never had like aquote unquote masculine father.
Um, my mother was a littleoverbearing, and I'm not saying
this to like be a victim, butlike at that moment, that's how

(20:23):
I found myself of like, not.
Having masculine traits, likekeeping my word, you know, uh,
doing what I needed to do on adaily basis.
I didn't have someone to turnto, so I went to like a men's
team and I, I was part of amen's team.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (20:37):
trick.
What kind of team?
Like a soccer team?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (20:39):
No, dude.
It's just a circle of men.
So what we did is we just,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (20:42):
like a circle jerk.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (20:43):
almost like a circle jerk

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (20:45):
Okay.
A

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (20:45):
mental circle.
Jerk Mental sur.
Yeah, exactly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (20:48):
How do you find

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (20:49):
find this group command?
How'd you find this cult?
Craigslist bra.
Stop.
Okay.
I'm kidding.
It was a dude.
It's, uh, it's called mdi.
I mentor, discover, inspire.
So if any man is listening tothis and like, wants like just a
kick in the ass and older men tofather them, then it's a great
place to go to.

(21:10):
Um, so I did that as I got soberand they helped me just become
the man that I am now.
Just like somebody who I enjoywaking up being every

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (21:19):
got mentor, discover,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (21:22):
Fire.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (21:22):
it a US ba is it all over the US or
is it only in certain parts ofthe,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (21:27):
Circle?
It's all over the us.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's all across the country.
Yeah.
You should join, man.
We'll, I'll talk to you afterthe opposite,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (21:32):
We'll, we'll see.
I'm busy, busy with

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (21:34):
Busy

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (21:36):
No, I, I Maybe, yeah, maybe.
Um, are you, do you talk withyour D dad now or are you guys
in, in contact with each other?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (21:43):
I do, man.
And I love him to death.
Yeah.
No, bro, I've, I've gonethrough, he did the best he can.
My mom, like, I'm not a victimof my life whatsoever.
And I tell my clients that too.
Like there's.
Like, I hate victim mentalityand I know it's like, oh,
straight white guy saying thatmaybe.
Right.
But like we have advantages anddisadvantages in life.
That's just how it goes.

(22:04):
But there's no, like, the energyof victimhood is very
destructive.
Like, I blame somebody else.
Okay, fine.
So you blame somebody else, butlike what?
How's that gonna help you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (22:16):
right.
Takes two to tango.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (22:19):
Takes takes two Tango.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (22:20):
But no, we, we do have a lot to own
in our own life story.
You know, we're, we're in it 24 7 because I've gone
through those phases as wellwhere I, I played the victim and
looking back on him like, thatdidn't get me anywhere.
Right.
I didn't build my confidence, Ididn't feel better.
I usually was just using it as away to get attention.
And then even the attention Idid get wasn't necessarily what

(22:41):
I was looking for.
Sure.
And then when I did get the or,and then when I didn't get
attention, I would feel evenworse.
Yeah.
Like, oh, well that didn't workout.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (22:50):
out.
It's a double edge sword, bro.
Yeah, that's what it is.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (22:52):
That's a single edge sword.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (22:54):
Oh, it's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (22:54):
victim hood,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (22:56):
So you go like that and then you
have to bring it back up.
Okay.
Exactly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (23:01):
uh, where'd you grow up?
New York.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (23:04):
What was that like?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (23:05):
Who's good?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (23:06):
New York.
New York.
Like the city,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (23:08):
York, Westchester, New York.
Not the city.
So Westchester's like 20 minutesnorth of the city.
So suburbs.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (23:13):
Did you, uh, did you have a good
amount of friends growing up?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (23:15):
growing up?
Yeah, my childhood was reallygood.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (23:18):
Favorite childhood and memory.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (23:20):
memory?
My favorite childhood memory.
I already know, bro.
I had a great childhood.
My favorite childhood memorywas, it was my birthday.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (23:27):
was my, how old

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (23:28):
I was maybe like seven or so.
Okay, okay.
I was at a bowling alley and um,all my friends were there and I
just remember just the sheerhappiness I had at that time,
bro.
I mean, you know, you rememberthat right?
Just like the noresponsibilities, like just
being a kid in life was justincredible.
Yeah.
And I just remember a momentlike I was bowling and I turned

(23:50):
to my right and so one of, oneof my friends and she's like,
what are we gonna do after theparty?
I'm like, we're gonna go likeopen presents.
And I, and in that moment I justremember like, just so much joy
I had in that moment.
I remember.
Did you ever go reindeerstacking?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (24:08):
No.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (24:09):
Have you ever heard that term before?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (24:10):
I have not.
No.
No.
Is that like maybe cuz I'mJewish or something.
Is it like a Christmas thing?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (24:14):
just, it is a Christmas thing.
No, but you were in America, soyou saw, like, you knew
Christmas was happening Jewishor not Sure.
So reindeer stacking, you'vebeen like driven through
neighborhoods where people willhave the reindeers in their
front yard.
Yeah.
It's when you go and you put thereindeer in sexual positions,
like they're just humping eachother or

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (24:32):
it.
Yeah.
You stack'em, like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (24:33):
turn one over and put the other one
on top or Sure.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (24:35):
Yeah.
Like doggy style,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But me and my friends, yeah, that, that, that's one of my
favorite teenage memories.
So I guess I wasn't a kid but ateenager, uh, was when we would
go out around Christmas

Microphone (Scarlett (24:45):
Christmas,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (24:45):
we'd just beat, you know, cause
destruction in the neighborhood,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (24:49):
Get
all those reindeer humping each
other.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (24:51):
I put'em in sexual position.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I love it.
Didn't we Used to do a lot ofegging?
Egging was big A

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (24:56):
you
did just fine.
It smells throw so bad.
You gotta hit the windows too.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (25:01):
It was so loud,
so
It scares the shit outta you if
you're not expecting it,

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (25:06):
Imagine.
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (25:07):
If one hit that window right now,
I'd jump a mile.
I would jump off screen.
I'd be in the kitchen

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (25:12):
for sure.
Knives with this.
I mean, you have a sword, bro.
So Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (25:16):
be yelling, Hey, go get

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (25:17):
'em.
'em.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (25:19):
Throw your sword after.
I'm, dude, you'd be good.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (25:20):
you?
Yeah.
Yeah.
What was your first job ever?
Because on your LinkedIn, youhave quite a few
camp counselor.
Probably.
I was like 16, 15.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (25:28):
You were counseling kids?
Camp

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (25:31):
kids, bro.
Oh God.
I, I, I loved it, bro.
Loved it.
I really did.
where did you model for
dude, that was,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (25:39):
let me guess.
who

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (25:40):
were the, what was the company that
has the shirtless dudes in frontof their store?
Were you that guy?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (25:45):
You got it right.
No, no, no, no.
So, just to be super clear, thiswould be super clear.
I, on, on that resume.
It's says model.
But I was like 16 at the time.
I didn't, I wasn't working outor anything.
They call the people who work atHollister, which is the, the
store that you're probablytalking about.
Yes.
Right.
Yeah.
They were, they called like thesalespeople models.
So I was just like working likein the store.

(26:07):
I wasn't outside shirtless.
I was a minor.
Oh yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (26:12):
Yeah, that'd be weird.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (26:13):
be kind of strange.
Have the 14 year

Microphone (Scarlett (26:14):
shirtless in front of the store.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (26:16):
Get a bunch of old guys, be like,
woo,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (26:21):
Oh God.
Go to Hollister,
go to Hollister

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (26:28):
I'm still looking, I'm still trying
to find them.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (26:30):
So they called you if you just work
the cash register, you gotcalled a model,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (26:33):
Whole model

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (26:34):
you were folding clothes, you got
called a model.
But I'll be honest with you, man,
like part of the reason why Igot that job was cuz I was so
insecure that I wanted thattitle of model.
So I was like, yeah, I'm amodel.
But I was just like,

Microphone (Scarlett (26:46):
insecure.
You weren't even modeling exceptmaybe a Hollister shirt or

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (26:50):
dude, nothing.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (26:53):
do you recall how you, how old you
were when you first starteddrinking?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (26:57):
Yeah.
Um, I remember the exact firstdrink too.
what, what?
Tell us

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (27:03):
It was like a, it was a beer.
It was at my friend Andre'shouse.
And, he was like, Hey man, youknow, let's, let's try this
beer.
I'm like, okay, let's do it.
And, I knew, I, I think I knewright away, dude, that was gonna
be a problem.
Why?
Because it, it took so much ofthe anxiety away.
Like it took so much of like it,I was just like, wow, like this

(27:25):
feels really good to relax, butalso keep in mind like, I feel
that way with ev like having anaddictive personality.
So it's just Like food, forexample, if I have junk food
everywhere, I'm going to eat it.
Right?
So it's a matter of being awayfrom that stuff.
But I, I think I knew right awaythat, how

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (27:42):
old were you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (27:43):
you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (27:45):
12.
Yeah.
Wow.
A

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (27:47):
young or old?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (27:48):
or old?
Young

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (27:49):
Think so.
How, how about you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (27:50):
old?
21.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (27:51):
Really?
I feel like that's old for sure.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (27:53):
sure.
It's definitely
rare.
It's legal.
It's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (27:55):
it's rare.
there is even an, I know for afact, we just have spring break
here and I know a lot of thehigh schoolers at my gym.
my gym, the gym that I attend,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (28:05):
Is it Gold?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (28:05):
Attend
there.
You attend

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (28:08):
the gym that I fuck shit up at
Oh, there you go.
Yes.
All the teenagers were talking.
You go
how they were gonna spend all, all
of spring break drinking andYeah.
Man, that wasn't me.
I was raised, in a Christianhome and followed a lot of the
rules such as no cursing, youknow, cursed very rarely really,
no drugs, no booze.
I had opportunities, I gotinvited to stuff.

(28:29):
I just never, I'd never partook

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (28:31):
talk.
Tell me about that though.
Like why didn't you par partake?
Because

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (28:34):
didn't wanna go to hell.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (28:35):
hell.
Wow.
So it was the It works.
It works guys.
Um,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (28:39):
I think I just listened to, it was
a mix of listening to my parentsand when you're raised a certain
way and it's drilled into you,you know, me and my siblings
went to a private Christianschool.
We went to to church on Sunday.
So when you're praying.
10 times a day, literallybetween like every meal,

(29:00):
beginning of every class.
You're going to church onSunday, you're going to chapel
on Thursday, you're going toyouth group on Wednesday night.
you're so, the Saturday is youronly goddamn break, you know,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (29:12):
from praying
from everything.
Yeah.
So I think a part of it wasprobably like, we were so
immersed in the culture that itjust worked.
Whether it was right, wrong, that's irrelevant.
Right.
The fact is, I, I listened, butthen I turned 21 and, my first
very first drink was at a placecalled Cheesecake Factory with

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (29:34):
Oh yeah.
Baby 60 Green.
Nice.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (29:36):
I ordered a Pina colada

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (29:37):
No way there.
So

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (29:38):
I was a badass.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (29:41):
Do you remember how you felt when
you were just sipping in thatpina colada?
Dude,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (29:44):
I didn't understand.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (29:45):
You understand?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (29:46):
I did because I, it, the one drink
didn't do anything for me.
It didn't even get me buzzed.
So I was like, it

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (29:51):
you're, you're a big dude.
Is that, you think that's why?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (29:53):
Well, back then, I wasn't this big,
but I think just one drink toosoon do much for me while you're
also eating a but load of pasta.
Yeah.
And you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (30:01):
you were
was hydrated like one drink's, not
gonna do anything to someone, anyone in that condition.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (30:06):
that's true.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (30:06):
true.
But then I took, a couple monthslater, I took my first shot of
Gray Goose.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (30:10):
Ooh.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (30:11):
And again, only one shot.
I didn't get it.
So I walked out of that eventand I, and, and everyone started
puking at that event.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (30:17):
Uhhuh

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (30:18):
I remember there is literally
someone got puke on the ceiling.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (30:21):
No,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (30:22):
I was going to use the bathroom
and I was walking down thehallway and there was this puke
dripping down

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (30:26):
from the, it stopped, dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (30:27):
Oh my God.
And so I sidestep the puke.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (30:29):
How's that even possible?
I was like, Ugh.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (30:31):
oh, Like, dude, he's a very tall
man.
He, if he's like six feet tall, it's
easy.
Ah, I remember my brother was laying
on the couch in the family room.
Yeah.
And he was laying over the sideof the couch, just like puking
onto the floor, blah.
So then not only did I not getbuzzed, but I'm like, everyone's

(30:53):
just puking now.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (30:54):
Like, yeah,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (30:55):
Then my third drink was a warm beer.
It was like a Coors Light, butit was room temperature.
I really didn't understandalcohol.
I was like, why is anyonedrinking this?
Wow.
It tastes bad.
Yeah.
There's no point.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (31:08):
And you just had one every time
though,
for those first three instances.
Yes.
Sure.
Then I went to a kinky Christmasparty.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (31:14):
Okay.
There you go.
As you should, as you should

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (31:21):
as one does
As one does.
It wasn't even Christmas timeand, uh,
uh Oh, it was, it was December.
It was December.
Do you know, what'd you wear?
Dude?
You wear

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (31:29):
wore I wore a, a set of, Grinch
boxers and a, a Christmas leanbathrobe, and that was it.
And some slippers,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (31:35):
gotta stop Gonna orgs bro.
I feel like you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (31:38):
before this, we were talking about an
orgy.
I got invited.
I'm not talking about it on thepodcast.
There's, it's too close to home.
Maybe I will in a few episodes.
We'll see.
but yeah, no, I went to aChristmas, kinky Christmas party
and they had a jungle juicethere,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (31:52):
Ooh.
Yeah.
Who shows
what was in that sunny delight and
vodka probably.
But it was was so good.
Yeah.
You know, and yeah, I gotblackout

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (32:00):
got that.
Did you?
Yeah.
So, okay.
And then, then what happened?
Like, you woke up the nextmorning and

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (32:05):
woke back and I hurt?
terrible, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It wasn't good.
Especially all that sugar.
I remember I had a essay due,uh, and a couple days following
that and

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (32:14):
it was on

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (32:15):
a Friday night and so I had
Saturday to write the essay andmy head was throbbing so bad I

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (32:21):
remember that feeling.
Focus.
So did you drink more?
That's what I used to do.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (32:24):
Not that time.
No
No, but you've never been a big,
you're not a big drinker now.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (32:28):
now.
Oh, I definitely was in mytwenties.
I was a huge drinker.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (32:31):
How old are you, dude?
are you?
How do you think I am?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (32:33):
I am?
I don't know, man.
That's like, yes, it's fun.
24.
You're Shut

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (32:37):
up.
No, you don't think, you thinkI'm 24?
You could be,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (32:41):
could be, bro.
I don't know man.
30, 31.
I'm 35.
You look great,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (32:45):
great.
I'm so old.
You
almost cr dude.
You're not old bro.
You know what the prime frameman is?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (32:49):
man is?
Uh, I'm gonna say, well, U age'sprobably right?
28, 27.
20.
No, no.
Def no cuz because men gatherresources, you're about to enter
your prime, which is 36 yearsold.
And then it goes all down.
No, I'm kidding.
Then it goes up like, like, dude, men age, like fine wine.
Right.
Like your, your, your businessis growing, the podcast is

(33:12):
growing.
You're becoming more popular.
You're also finding yourselfmore.
I'm sure when you were in yourtwenties, you didn't know who
you were, right?
No.
At least less than than how youknow now.
Yeah.
Right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (33:25):
I feel I'm smelling what you're
stepping in.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (33:28):
You're smelling what I'm what?
Yes.
Yes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (33:31):
So, so to answer your question, that
was a long rabbit trail to sayYes.
12 years old for your firstdrink is in my, in my world from
my perspective as young.
But, all the kids now aregetting drunk at like 17.
they all just went on a weeklong bender for spring break and
all of them came back and werelike, yeah, I did was drink.
I didn't eat, I didn't sleep.
I just drank for seven dayslaunch, lost a bunch of weight

(33:54):
and I'm back at the gym.
Woohoo.
who really

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (33:57):
That's, yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (33:58):
you heard that at Golds

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (33:59):
multiple times.
Really?
It just went on a five day longbender.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (34:02):
went 17,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (34:03):
17.
17, 18.
One of them 16 maybe.
18.
I feel like that's kind ofnormal.
Yeah.
I guess it's like, it was normalwhere I was like, my culture, I
guess
All the sinners.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (34:11):
sinners.
What's up Did it wait,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (34:13):
I'd said With all the sinners.
All the sinners.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (34:15):
Sinners like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (34:16):
Oh, sinners, yeah.
Centers.
Same as centers.
No, no, no, no,
you mean?
Like a town square?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (34:20):
no in Jewish.
How, how, how, um,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (34:26):
were

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (34:26):
raised Jewish?
Yeah.
Heavily.
I don't even know how to say howto, if I'm wording that right.
right.
I gotta say I love being Jewish.
Okay.
Because it's like, like I don't,like, I don't want like to come
off as like I make fun of Jews, but like, I, I joke around cuz
it's fun, you know?
We don't have to be so seriousall the time.
And I love Jews.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (34:47):
I went to a, not to interrupt you.
No, go ahead.
I went to a comedy night lastFriday.
Nice.
And to your point about makingfun of Jews.
Yeah.
The main, the headliner comedianwas making fun of Christians
pretty hardcore.
I was in tears.
Oh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (35:00):
That's good.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (35:01):
I was in tears as

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (35:03):
you're cool.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (35:03):
I was laughing so hard.
Dude, that's great.
And I think it's because, andsame for you, if you heard a
Jewish joke, you'd probablythink it was hilarious.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (35:11):
sure.
sure.
And people who take a offenseare probably in their twenties,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (35:18):
I think so.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (35:18):
still figuring themselves out

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (35:20):
hair or

Microphone (Scarlett (35:21):
something.
I don't know.
They just

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (35:21):
take like too seriously.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (35:23):
You gotta be able to make fun of
these things.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (35:24):
things have to bro.
And

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (35:25):
it's a joke.
He wasn't being serious.
Yeah.
He didn't mean anything.
he was making jokes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (35:30):
And it's interesting too, a comedy
because if you see like, okay, acomedian says these things and
without contact, without tone, tonality, anything like that.
And you look at the sentence, ofcourse it's gonna come off as
terrible.
Like if you write a blog like,oh, this person said this.
Yes, it's gonna be terrible,man.
But, um, but I'm sure Sacramentowas like, was that like a Comedy

(35:52):
Haven or not really?
No, that's why he came here.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (35:55):
Really?
That's why he came here because

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (35:56):
I wanted the podcast to be in
person.
And there's nobody inSacramento.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (36:00):
You came here for the podcast.
Yep.
Dude, good for you.
I'm

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (36:03):
1800 miles to start a podcast.
This guy right here.
This guy right here, dude.
That's why you're gonna be, butlike, that's why I'm saying
that's why you're gonna be bigman, because you're so, you're
so committed to this

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (36:14):
to this.
There, there's just nobody tointerview there.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (36:17):
You have the

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:17):
state capital

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (36:19):
and

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:19):
wasn't gonna be a political interview.
I didn't want a bunch of thoseschmucks on

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (36:23):
You

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:23):
know, I wanted pod, I wanted other
podcasters.
I wanted comedians, I wantedpersonal trainers.
I wanted special forces.
Right.
You know, actors, actresses.
I'm talking to a stuntcoordinator about coming on.
I sick.
Would that be

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:36):
That's fucking sick, man.
Yeah, yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:38):
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (36:38):
All walks of life.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (36:39):
So you were talking about being
raised Jewish though.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:43):
Yeah, like I got Bar mitzvah and
stuff, but I was never likesuper strict.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (36:48):
I got bar mitzvahd.
Yeah.
Did you just make that a verb?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (36:51):
Yeah, that's, did people

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (36:52):
actually say that?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (36:53):
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's
I meet, should I ask him if he got
Bar

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (36:56):
Mitzvah?
Yeah, You should go up to arandom guy on the street and be
like, excuse me sir,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (37:02):
Are you Jewish Yes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (37:04):
they used to, they do that in
Brooklyn actually.
What they say, excuse me, areyou Jewish?
And then if you say yes, thenthey try Bar Mitzvah you right
there.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (37:11):
mitzvah?
What do you, what happens whenyou get Bar mitzvah?
You get your wrist wrapped up?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (37:15):
Well, it it on the street.
That's what they do.
Like they do this, this, thisthing and then they, they bless
you or something.
Come more Jewish, I guess.
But.
Um, I got Bar Mitzvah, uh, whenI was 13.
Most people, you know, that'swhen they get their bar mitzvah
and, I was never religious.
The attention.
My mom said, you should do it SoI did it and it was a great

(37:35):
party.
but honestly, I valued thetradition of it.
Like the tradition of Judaism Ithink is really powerful, but I
don't believe in a lot of the, like, what they preach
personally.
and I think some of that is,there was a rabbi when I was
around 14 years old.
And, it was a female rabbi, which is, which is rare.
And it was cool.

(37:56):
And, I went to her, I'm like,Hey, all this, like, none of
this is real, right?
all the stories.
And I was like young, like 12,even younger, maybe 12, 11.
And she's like, yeah, so Ithink, yeah, the rabbi was like,
they're all metaphors.
I'm like, oh shit.
Okay.
So I, I don't know if thatchanged the trajectory of my
spiritual life, but ever sincethen I'm like, all right, this
is bullshit.

(38:16):
And then,
then, was there enough Jewish culture,
ingrained in you that it, youfelt like it affected your life,
decisions you made, how you gotto where you are today?

Microphone (Scarlett (38:27):
decision?
No.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (38:29):
No.
Do you practice any Jewishcustoms to this day

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (38:33):
besides comedy?
No.
besides
besides comedy and being a mench.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (38:38):
No.
Being a Minch.
That's funny.
when you were talking aboutgetting blessed, it reminded me
of when, uh, JEA was over
and

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (38:45):
recorded her.
episode,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (38:46):
My dog sneezed and I told'em, God
bless you.
Yeah.
And she started making fun of mefor that.
Oh,
Oh really?
It was like totally not like inthe culture.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (38:54):
was like, you, you're going too far.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (38:57):
no dogs when they sneeze.
Are you serious?
Oh really?
Yeah, I would, I would, I woulddo that too.
Fuck It's like, do you knowThad?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (39:05):
Well, she does now.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (39:06):
Right?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (39:07):
Why'd you come to Austin specifically
here versus you had, 50 statesto choose from?
How'd you land in Austin, Texas.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (39:14):
So it was, it was Covid time and,
um, it was, it was a weird, obviously we all remember it was
just a weird, uh, a weirdsituation.
And, uh, New York was crazy justin terms of the amount of money
that they were giving out.
so to be honest, I used thatmoney and I traveled the
country.
So

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (39:34):
crazy.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (39:35):
so from New York, I flew, I'm like,
you know what, I'm a quarantinein Florida.
So I flew to Miami and I had aAirbnb for like 40 bucks.
And a long story short, justtravel the country, man from
Miami to Texas and then toCalifornia.
And I was gonna move to SanDiego.
Cause I thought, I don't know.
I'm like, I'm gonna move to SanDiego.

(39:57):
And then my friend was like, youshould visit Austin.
I'm like, why would I visitAustin?
Do that sounds weird.
He's like, dude, you should,it's a cool place.
All right, fine.
Like I'll trust you.
So I, I was driving from Dallasto Austin and I wasn't a huge
fan of Dallas.
I was like, this is, have youbeen there?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (40:11):
was like,
No.
Don't.
Okay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (40:14):
my boss wants me to go there, but
just only cuz he

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (40:17):
there.
Sha quit your job
Quick.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (40:20):
when

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (40:20):
podcast starts getting ad

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (40:22):
doing right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (40:22):
right?
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (40:24):
So yeah.
Drove from Dallas to Austin andimmediately I was like, this,
this place is cool.
I saw young people running, living their healthy life and
also just a feeling I had.
I'm like, this is

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (40:35):
this is, yeah,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (40:35):
cool.
So I, and then I'm, I flew toSan Diego and um, they didn't
understand sarcasm there, so Ohno.
Oh no.
So I'm like, this isn't gonnawork because sarcasm I think is
same with you.
Right.
It's a very important part of,so, um, moved here.
There are

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (40:54):
the, you know, one of my favorite
places in Austin is Zer Park.
For those who don't know, youknow,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (41:00):
you've been of course beautiful.
Okay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (41:02):
Okay.
It's, three, according to onewebsite, 300, either 360 or 380
acres in total.
Yeah.
And the first time I went outthere, there was multiple soccer
games going on.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (41:14):
Multiple

Microphone (Scarlett (41:15):
pickleball games going on five sand
volleyball courts.
a Springs Springs that you candrive in the Barton Springs.
You had people painting.
People dancing, yeah, peopledoing yoga.
60 plus dogs.
Yes.
I did count and it was justlike, Zilker is almost like a

(41:37):
haven.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (41:38):
Yeah.
It it like, it's,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (41:40):
it's all good vibes.
And when someone does show upwith negative vibes, I want to
tell them you should,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (41:46):
like, you should breathe.
It's like, you should go,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (41:48):
come back with good vibes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (41:51):
Mm-hmm.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (41:51):
One lady was there and she kept
yelling at the dogs forapproaching her.
Yeah.
I don't want any dogs near mycampsite.
All right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (41:59):
there's a hundred dogs here, ma'am.
This is the wrong place to be.
Right.
If you don't want dogs near you,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (42:07):
Right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (42:07):
Um, but yeah, man, zer,
you tell her that?
No.
Oh.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (42:11):
I changed where I was sitting.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (42:13):
Oh, gotcha.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (42:13):
I didn't wanna listen to her.
She's ruined in my mood.
Right.
Dad's tail went down.

Microphone (Scarlett (42:17):
tailwind.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (42:18):
Was like, that's, that's smooth.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (42:20):
It's like, all right, I got you.
Sad.
Yeah.
We're, we're gonna, we're gonna

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (42:22):
we're gonna, but man, zer.
Zer, definitely, uh, the firsttime we, we showed up there, I,
I, Sacramento has nothing like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (42:31):
I, so there's nothing in Sacramento
that's similar to

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (42:32):
That's, there's parks, but nothing to
that size and nothing where youhave all different people of
different ages, of differentreligions doing different things
all in the same place and doingit harmoniously.

Microphone (Scarlet (42:48):
harmonious.
Mm.
That's well said, bro.
That's well said.
Doing it harmoniously.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (42:55):
Yes,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (42:55):
Cause I, I feel like what we're
getting away from in today'ssociety is just the technology
that we have and, and, andmoving away from our roots,
which is just stuff like that.
Like going to Zilker and justfucking, like dancing or playing
sports, being around people, good vibes saying, Hey, how you
doing?
Yeah.
Like, that's a beautiful,beautiful thing.
And I think like that'ssomething that is being lost a

(43:17):
little bit, especially likeworking from home.
Yep.
People on their screens, weforget like the simple things
are the things that make us themost happy.
Like con like what we're doingright now, dude.
Yep.
Connection right here.

Microphone (Scarlet (43:30):
connection.
What does, uh, community mean

Microphone (Scarlett (43:34):
communism

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (43:35):
to you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (43:40):
like.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (43:42):
It's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (43:42):
like, okay, next question.
Soviet.
No.
Um, What, what does communitymean to me?
It means, uh, human beingsconnecting, um, in a, with a

(44:03):
common interest or, um, yeah.
Human beings connecting.
I mean, I'm curious what thedefinition is, but community is,
is ideal.
And that's what I'm trying tocreate with my business man is a
community of people who all havea common goal, right?
The common goal is to transformtheir fitness, transform their
life, and that community.

(44:25):
everyone enhances each other, enhances the message you're
looking up

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (44:29):
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.

Microphone (Scarlett (44:32):
community.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (44:32):
there's two definitions and, and the
first one, which I was notgetting at, is a group of people
living in the same place orhaving our, a particular
characteristic in common.

Microphone (Sca (44:43):
characteristic, uh, interesting character.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (44:46):
Number two, a feeling of fellowship
with others as a result ofsharing common attitudes,
interests, and goals.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (44:54):
one.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (44:55):
No.
Yes.
Well defined.
Do you feel like you have astrong community

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (45:00):
commute in Austin or in general?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (45:01):
In Austin?
In Austin?
I've, yeah.
Yeah.
I've, I've, I've built a decentcommunity.
Um, I joined this networkinggroup, which was amazing.
It's called Tribe.
Everyone Wants should check itout.
Tribe Not mdi, not well mdi.
I was, yeah, that's a differentone.
But, uh, that's a good communitytoo.
I'm, I'm not a part of itcurrently, but What's Tribe Is
Good.
Tribe is, um, is a coolnetworking, uh, group by this

(45:25):
guy named Arlin Moore.
And it connects mostly guys fromall over the world.
And there was like six guys inAustin, so we all connected and
uh, and then we all, we all hangout.
Um, but yeah, ever since cominghere, man, I meet people at the
gym.
I meet people, uh, my clientsare my community, um, going out,
just meeting random people andstuff like that.

(45:46):
Um, so I think I've, I've builta, built a good community, but
my goal with my business is to.
Like my, my dream is to create amovement and community of men
who wanted better their fitness.
And that's, that's what I'msuper passionate about.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (46:02):
you see yourself becoming friends
with your clients

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (46:04):
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
Dude, I'm, I can't help it.
Nah, I can't help it.
I'm friends with all my clientsexcept one

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (46:11):
clients.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (46:11):
now.
I'm kidding.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (46:12):
I'm kidding.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (46:14):
It's like, nah, I'm friends with all
of my clients.
Cuz think about it like, we seeeach other three times a week.
Yep.
So it's you're gonna get close.
It's impossible for me not toget close to the human being
that I'm working on theirfitness, you
it's well, personal trainers are
almost like therapists in a wayanyways.
I mean, once you get a fewsessions and people are starting
to vent to you about whatevermade them upset that day.
Exactly.
They're talking about anythingand everything.

(46:35):
There's something about workingout with people that, you know.
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (46:40):
Yeah.
It's primal.
It's, it's super primal.
And have you had a trainerbefore?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (46:44):
before?
No.
Okay.
But I was a personal trainerback in 2008 and nine, maybe
2007, and we were all eachother's friends, so all the
trainers lifted together.
We'd go out afterwards together.
So I did, I, I never formallypurchased, but I was working out
with people wiser, stronger thanI was.
Right.
So I got the same, I may havegot better because we were all

(47:08):
just sharing that knowledgefreely versus Sure.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
So, yeah, I went through acouple year phases where I got,
where I had that,
phases.
What got you into star?
to work out?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (47:18):
so I didn't have a.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (47:20):
car
and a friend was giving me rides to
and from school, cuz I think Iwas driving the family van.
No, I don't know.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (47:27):
Were you 18,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (47:28):
I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (47:28):
years ago.
18, yeah.
And he,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (47:31):
on the way home one day, he said,
Hey, there's this new gymopening up in town.
Mm-hmm.
do you mind if we stop by andI'm gonna drop an application?
I said, sure.
So while we're inside the, thefucking, trailer, outside the
gym, because it's literallybeing built from the ground up,
the general manager came up tome and she was like, Hey, what
are you doing here?
And I said, I'm just waiting formy friend to apply for a job.
And she said, are you applyingfor a job?

(47:51):
And I said, no.
And she said, yeah, you are.
She

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (47:53):
friend.
Oh wow.
There you go.
Confident.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (47:55):
Ended up getting a job.
I interviewed on the spot, got ajob the next day.
They said, you're hired, youstart in a week.
all right, cool.
I guess
start what?
Like at trainer or like a child

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (48:06):
In their childcare.
Childcare.
Taking care of the

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (48:07):
kids dude.
What's with you?
And kids.
I'm sorry.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (48:11):
I, I, I, Hey man, I did great.
Kids like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (48:13):
me.
I'm do, I can, I can see thatKids would like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (48:16):
I I went to my buddy's ranch for
Thanksgiving last year and hehas, so his mom's like top dog?
Yeah.
And then she had 11 kids.
She had nine kids and adoptedtwo.
Wow.
And of those 11,
a

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (48:29):
lot of them are married with kids.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (48:31):
A

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (48:31):
And then of some of those, some are
married with kids.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (48:35):
What?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (48:36):
So in that fourth generation,
there's this kid, oh my God, Ihate that.
I can't remember his name.
Fuck
it Isaac or

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (48:44):
No, I think it started with.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (48:45):
an a Abraham, but
we were friends within hours of me
showing up.
He had never met me.
Yeah.
I had never met him.
And this kid was joined my hipfor

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (48:54):
hip Oh really?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (48:55):
36 hours that I was there.
So kids gravitate towards me.
I don't know why.
Cuz I, I hate them.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (49:00):
Jesus, dude.
Do you have, you have a greatenergy, bro.
That's why,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (49:04):
I guess so.
The kids like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (49:06):
it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (49:06):
But, to answer your question, I'm now
working in this gym 40 hours aweek and I, I hadn't, I had
played soccer and basketballgrow growing up.
Never had been on a freewayfloor, never had touched a
dumbbell, a barbell.
I didn't know A cable machinefrom a cardio machine.
Sure.
And one of my buddies that alsoworked there named Ed, he was
like, you know, we shouldprobably start working out since

(49:28):
we work in a gym.
Right.
I was like, yeah, ed.
That's, that's a good point.
It's natural.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (49:33):
There.
There you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (49:34):
you go, ed, wherever you are.
Good.
Good move.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (49:36):
Thank you Ed
Thank

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (49:38):
Ed.
I think he's dead.
Ed.
I, Is he actually dead?
Dude, Ed's like listening tothis like I'm right here.
No, I, I hope he's good.
I, I, I, he Ed's a good guy andhe got me into working out,
which is funny.
I hadn't thought about that fromthat perspective before, but
yeah.
Thank you, ed.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (49:59):
hadn't thought of that.
Yeah, dude.
So he got you into working out.
What, what made you fall in lovewith it?
Cause obviously you've beendoing it for a long time.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (50:05):
I like everything about it.
I like thinking while I'm there.
It's my think time.
Mm-hmm.
if I'm working out with someone,I really like the fellowship in
the community.
Yes.
Yes.
I feel good afterwards.
I feel good during, I like howit makes me look Yes.
In the beginning, me and mybuddy Tim, I forget where we got
the obsession, but we were, thiswas pre-Instagram and even

(50:27):
YouTube I think.
Wow.
So, you know where we would goto get our workouts?
No.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (50:33):
do you mean?
Oh, you mean the workout plans?
Like ideas?
So this was before the internet?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (50:37):
Yep.
Yep.
The, the library.
Yeah.
Really sorta of,
We'd go to Borders, that bookstore
that closed during the recessionof 2008.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (50:45):
Yeah.
I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (50:46):
go to Borders and we would bring in
Notepad with us, cuz we were, wedidn't wanna buy any of their
books.
Sure.
We weren't, you know, and wewould just flip.
We'd be in there for threehours.
I love that.
And we would just be writingdown chess workouts and leg
workouts and even a couplesentences about like how to do
it if we weren't gonna rememberthe name.
And then we'd go do it all atthe gym.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (51:04):
great bro.
I love
later we'd go back again.
Read some more books.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (51:08):
You were getting in trouble like a
librarian and being

Microphone (Scarlett (51:10):
librarian.
They

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (51:10):
didn't
didn't care.
They didn't care.
I think they just were happythat bodies were

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (51:13):
were, there were people, there were
people in the buildings like, like, oh, this is great.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (51:19):
what about you?
Was it, was it post drinkingthat you got obsessed with it?
Or when did you fall in lovewith the gym?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (51:24):
the I definitely got obsessed with
it.
I mean, like, the stopping ofthe drinking was directly
correlated to my fitnessjourney.
And what, what I'm doing now isbecause of that.
And that's why I always use thewords transmute and use your
pain and all this, thismotivating stuff is because that
is the secret.
The secret is, you know, andlife, there's energy can't be

(51:48):
created or destroyed, right?
So if you're angry, you can keepbeing angry.
That's totally fine.
It's your choice in life whereyou can use that anger and
create something incredible.
And you don't have to feelguilty about the anger or other
stuff.
You can use that and, and, andbuild your body.
So, um, when I, when I gotsober, I had all these emotions
that were going on, like lowself-esteem, a lot of anger

(52:10):
towards myself, a lot of likeself-loathing and stuff like
that.
And went to the gym and just gotobsessed.
that's just how I am.
If I start doing something thatI really enjoy, I'm like, I'll
be obsessed with it.
I guess that's where theaddiction sort of stuff comes
too.
and once I started seeingresults, I was hooked.
I was like, I dude, this is it.
and it started changing my life, bro.

(52:31):
Like, got more confident, moreenergy, looked better, felt
better.
And I didn't wanna drinkanymore, dude.
I was like, this is, this isamazing.
I'm, I wasn't gonna aa I wasjust like transforming my life
through fitness and that's mywhole.
Shtick now is I want to helppeople do that for themselves
because I see people notmotivated in the gym, and I want

(52:53):
to take them through a processof Hey, you can create this
amazing, healthy lifestyle.
You don't need to be stuck witha trainer for years and years
and years, because you can havethat internal drive to work out.
And so now it's just like alifestyle that I have cuz I
agree with you so much, man.
it's a time to think.
It's a, it's, I love building mybody.
There's definitely some like I,I like the Greeks, you know, so

(53:17):
I like the statue ask to behonest.
That's part of the reason, Ilove, I'm trying to get to like,
my ultimate form,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (53:24):
like the statue of David

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (53:25):
the statue of David without the
small penis.
But yes, I'm Jewish, but, youknow, come on man.
So that's, you know, that's partof the motivation as well is,
but I, I fucking, I love thegym, bro.
I don't know, I wouldn't besober today if it

Microphone (Scarlet (53:43):
motivation.
Do you, do you find that you getyour best ideas in the gym as
well, or?
No,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (53:48):
in the gym?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (53:49):
like with me, I, I literally have my,
keep my phone unlocked and opento the note section.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (53:55):
Wow really, dude,
I'm writing down either ideas for
work, for the podcast, how tofind new guests, what type of
guests I want to have on.
Yeah.
What to do at work the next day.
We, in my job, we do a lot ofwriting.
So I even

Microphone (Scarlet (54:08):
recruiting?
Yep.
Yeah,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (54:09):
we do a ton of writing.
Yeah.
So sometimes I'll get some of mybest writing ideas in the gym,
so I'll write down those promptsreal quick.
Really.
But if you ever see me at thegym, like it probably looks like
I'm distracted and not payingattention to my workout.
Mm-hmm.
when really I'm doing twothings.
I'm in between sets and resting, and I'm writing down whatever
idea I got during my last set.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (54:27):
idea.
So you're so in a, in aspiritual sense, what's
happening is you're, you'regetting downloads.
Yeah.
That's how I look at it.
You're getting

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (54:32):
getting download.
I would look at it like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (54:33):
You'll look at it too.
Yeah.
That, yeah.
Like you're getting downloadsfrom the ether or something.
Cuz your, your consciousness isjust open.
Yeah.
During that time.
That's awesome.
But no, I don't feel I don'tfeel like that at all.
You don't?
No.
Do like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (54:47):
the most creative aspect of your
life right now?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (54:50):
Putting together your business client's
workouts?
Maybe?
My client's workouts isdefinitely cr a creative, it's
an art form, but like right nowit's building the business,
creating the, the best possibleonline program for people.
So when

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (55:01):
when you're working out, you're never
like, middle of a workout and Ijust got the best idea for my
next Instagram post.
This is exactly what

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (55:09):
you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (55:09):
gonna say, how I'm gonna film it, what
music I'm gonna play.
I do.
So there you go.
You're getting downloads too.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (55:14):
I'm, I gain downloads too, but I, I,
I, I definitely that's rare.
I would say, I get video ideasand stuff, but it's mostly I go
there and I tr I try to meditatethe entire time.
So I'm not on my phone.
I mean, I'm listening to music.
I listen to like intense hardstyle music.
I don't know if you ever listento hard style.
I was like,

(55:35):
What are you listening to?
Name a couple bands.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (55:37):
to?
Well, it's uh, it's calledTevez.
Never.
It's not, never.
I'll send you it, dude.
Is it Jewish Yeah.
It's a Jewish, it's a Jewishbeat.
Jewish rock.
Jewish.
It's a rock.
Just a bunch of complaining.
It's like my knee hurts, my baghurts.
Fuck.

(55:57):
Go work out.
That's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (55:58):
said Jewish rock, the first thing I
thought of was like, stone.
that went I know.
Like Jesus Christ.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (56:05):
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (56:06):
Oh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (56:10):
Rock.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (56:11):
Jewish

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (56:11):
say it one more time.
What style of music is

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (56:13):
music?
It's called Hard Style.
Hard style.
Hard style.
It's like really intense music.
But see, my whole thing going togym is like go there and I, I
meditate in between sets.
I can put my hands out like thisand I meditate and I'm out on my
phone and I'm just strictly withmyself.
And, then I go do another set.
And, sometimes ideas come, butfor the most part it's just like

(56:34):
full on meditation.
I kind of look at it as an artform too.
It's like my body just movingand raking down and I try to
feel every fiber of my bodybreaking down, if that makes
sense.
Yeah.
Like, I, I enjoy that.
enjoy.
Where, where do you come up withthe words for your Instagram
posts?
Are those just on the fly?

(56:54):
You

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (56:55):
what do you mean?
Like the caption or the,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (56:57):
in your.
Almost all of your postsrecently, you're talking in the
video.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (57:02):
Mm.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (57:04):
So are you doing that at home?
Is in the morning, at night?
Do you record like 10 of them atonce and then you release'em
once a day?
what's your, when you're comingup with those motivational
messages, what kind of headspace are you in?
That kind of thing.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (57:17):
up?
It's always at night.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (57:18):
Always at night.
Why

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (57:20):
Why?
So my brain is, and I'm, I thinkthis is really important for
people, to be, to, to get a jobor a lifestyle that, that is be
best for them.
Like some people are night owlsand I think you should get like
a fucking trucking job orsomething.
Some people are like morningpeople.
And I think you should get, you're a normal person.
So I think you should get nineto five

Microphone (Scarlett (57:41):
Starbucks job

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (57:41):
Sorry, I got a Starbucks become a
barista.
but for me, like in the morning,I'm just not creative.
I'm not a morning person at all,dude.
Never been.
And then when I'm at, at night, all the ideas, flood, flood,
flood, flood, flood, flood.
I'm very creative at night.
I don't have to try.
I would've film videos at night.
I would record at night.
It just comes.
So it's that night, probablylike a couple hours before bed

(58:05):
or

Microphone (Scarlett (58:06):
probably.
All right.
Here's what I want you to do,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (58:07):
Okay?
okay?
I want you, you can take 10seconds to think tops.
Once I give you your prompt, let's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (58:13):
do it because
it is nighttime.
All right?
And you're gonna look right intothe camera,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (58:17):
camera, okay?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (58:18):
And you're gonna give a 20 to 32nd
motivational whatever is on yourhead tonight.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (58:24):
I love it, bro.
Let me just take a sip of my,uh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (58:27):
Take a sip.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (58:28):
Waterloo Sparkling water.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (58:29):
a deep breath.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (58:30):
Check it out.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (58:31):
it out.
Yeah, we got Waterloo.
We got LaCroix.
I got Jelly Belly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (58:35):
You got Jelly Belly.
Dude,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (58:37):
I'll get you that one.
Next.
one.
Okay.
Wait, like the,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (58:40):
I got some organic brand, like I
didn't know you can make LaCroixorganic

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (58:44):
but Sure, dude, they always say that
bullshit.
like organic water.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (58:48):
so here's why I bought it.
I wanted a, any guest that cameover, I thought would I improve
Here's how low my self-esteemis.
I wanted to impress them throughmy variety of sparkling waters.
So I was like, I better have anorganic one in the mix.
Yeah,
it works in

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (59:03):
some tree hugger comes over, you
know?
no, I'm kidding.
I, I love trees.
but I was going, I was walkingthrough the store like what
makes a LaCroix organic versusYeah, like it's water.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (59:17):
There's just no, you know, there's no,
uh, non-organic substances in

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (59:20):
And you know what's interesting?
Yeah.
There's sugar in it

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (59:24):
in LaCroix
in the organic.
No one really?
So zero sugar?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (59:30):
zero.
Cause this isn't organic.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (59:31):
not organic.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (59:32):
It's naturally a flavor though.
And go get it.
Let's see, dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (59:42):
though.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (59:42):
Hmm.
Hmm.
Well that's cuz that's a fruit drink.
Dude.
That's not water.
It's a little juice.
Oh.
Cause it's tall.
I've never seen

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (59:55):
I have tall LaCroix too.
You fuck

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (59:58):
Do you really?
Let's see this guy, this guyover here, he has override.
This guy has a whole supermarkethere.
Tall.
That's a Pellegrino,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:00:10):
but it's just water.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:00:12):
Right?
But I thought you were gonnabring us all La Croix.
Doesn't matter.
I do.
Well, I thought that's whatyou're gonna get.
Dude.
Dude, why do you have so many?
You, you do have so many brands, man.
He's going out on his porch.
Why is that?
Why is that on your porch, dude?

(01:00:33):
Because that's where my storageis, Oh really?
That's so, that's so random.
That's so tall.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:00:37):
Oh wow.
You're right.
Okay.
LaCroix tall.
You're right.
So, um,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:00:45):
what are

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:00:46):
are you laughing at?
Well, I, what, what were wetalking about?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:00:49):
We were talking about organic water

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:00:53):
Yeah.
versus, versus some non-organicwater Right.
And you're saying that there wassugar in it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:01:00):
it.
Yeah.
10 grams.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:01:01):
one.
This one.
This one.
Cuz it says organics sparklingpassion fruit strawberry, like

Microphone (Scarlett (01:01:12):
nationally

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:01:13):
flavored beverage.
Yeah.
Dude, this is This is a juicedrink,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:01:17):
But look at the very first
ingredient.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:01:20):
Carbonated water

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:01:22):
So it's not juice.
Drink water.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:01:24):
dude.
I mean, like I don't even know,man.
But, uh, this looks really goodthough.
Well, then you can have it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:01:31):
have you sure.
Yeah.
Thanks man.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:01:34):
I have eight.
I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:01:35):
you have more
You saw, look at the table.
I'm sure you're fine.
Dude, I'm drinking like a lotof, lot of liquids here.
I have my decaf coffee and youknow, got this water, dude.
Is this like your strategy toget your guest to piss or
something?
I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:01:49):
just, I'm being a good host.
being a great host.
You're being a great host.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:01:53):
You're being a, okay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:01:55):
the cocaine.
the couple.
Motivate the people.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:01:57):
What's the, what's the prompt?
There's no prompt.
Oh, I thought you were gonnagimme a prompt.
That's the prompt.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:02:01):
The sun's down.
All right.
There you go.
Man.
The sun's down.
How'd your day go?
Are you gonna get another day?
Who knows?
But the only thing that you cancontrol is you.
So what the fuck are you waitingfor, man?
What, what are you, you'rewaiting for an outside source to
change your life.

(01:02:22):
Do you realize the power thatyou have?
Not in here, but in here, manamin your heart.
You know that heart hastransformed countries that heart
has conquered countries.
That heart was the same heartthat the Spartans had when they
defended

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:02:40):
their,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:02:40):
their city state, knowing that they
were going to die.
So my message to you tonight, man, is that that is, Passed
down in your fucking dna.
Use that to transform your life.
Use that to go to the gym.
Use that to quit alcohol.
Use that to save your family, because I'm telling you man, we
have one life.

(01:03:00):
Why spend it not being your bestself?
You're gonna die one day andyou're gonna regret, which is
probably the worst fuckingfeeling that you can ever have
in your life.
You're gonna regret if you don'tgo all the way.
So whatever you're dealing with,my message to you is to overcome
that, not just for yourself, butfor your future family, your

(01:03:22):
future wife, your futurehusband, future partner, and
also your community.
And I carry this coin.
There's for my, my stoics outthere.
It's called, I know MementoMori.
You ever see that?
Mm-hmm.
I carry that coin with me.
Actually, it's, I owe it to RyanHolliday, the Daily Stoic.
He does the same thing.

(01:03:42):
This is not my idea.
This is his.
But bro, yeah, reading that isincredible.
If you wanna read it,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:03:48):
It says, uh, on the front, memento
Mori, and then on the back, youcould leave life right now That,
that determine what you do.
And say, and think,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:03):
and

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:04:04):
like this coin.
Where'd you get it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:05):
you get it?
Amazon.
I should have been like a monk.
Like in, did you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:04:13):
host one?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:15):
You can have it, brother.
No, no, no, no.
You can keep that one.
I'll order another one.
Nope.
Hey, hey, hey.
I'm gonna find one.
Hey, hey, hey.
I want you to have it.
You might go drink tonight.
If you don't have that,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:04:24):
I want you to have it then.
No, you keep it.
No, I'm serious.
I want you to have it.
You're welcome.
Thank you.
I'll get another one.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:04:29):
guys.
I got, I got a Memento Moricoin.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:31):
But only caveat though, is you have
to carry it within your pocketevery day.
So you take your wallet, takeyour keys, you take your phone.
I want you to take

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:04:37):
Where do you keep your wallet?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:04:39):
In my pocket.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:04:39):
Which pocket?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:04:41):
I don't like.
Think about it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:43):
You don't?
No.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:04:44):
I usually don't bring my wallet
with me.
Actually, I don't bring mywallet anymore.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:47):
But if you do that thing's big,
where do you put it?
Side, pocket or back.
That's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:04:52):
what she said.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:04:53):
she said.
You hope so.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:04:55):
right?
Um, I don't know.
Definitely not back pocket.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:05:01):
Why not back?
you would sit down and it hurt.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:04):
down.
I just learned this whiledriving to Texas.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:05:08):
Did you, you put it in your back
pocket and you're like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:10):
always put in my back pocket.
Really?
Up until I was 34 years old.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:05:14):
No way.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:05:15):
And then I was listening to a
podcast as I was driving outhere.
Yeah.
And they were making this bigstink about, you know, if you
have a lump on one side of yourpants, Uhhuh, and you're sitting
on that, that's gonna make youuneven.
Sure.
And I'm, and they're like, andyou're gonna have back problems.
And you know what?
I have Spencer.
You have back problems.
I have back problems.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:34):
There you go.
It's cuz the wallet,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:05:35):
Now the wallet goes on the left
pocket.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:05:38):
Cell

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:05:38):
and keys go in the right pocket
front.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:40):
Well, your memento mo needs to go.
Where are you gonna put it?
Left or right?
In my boxers.
In your boxers.
Next to my penis.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:47):
right.
Next to my

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:05:48):
Dick Perfect.
Dude.
It's all yours,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:50):
Let's hope that's hoping it helps.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:52):
don't, don't give it back to me.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:05:54):
I won't.
You're never getting that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:05:55):
back, It's all you.
Dude

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:05:57):
my pants are not

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:05:59):

What about you, man?
You wanna give a littlemotivational speech?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:06:07):
give, I wanna see what you think this
choose

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:06:12):
It's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:06:12):
not worth what?
It's not worth the calories.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:06:14):
I mean, it's only money.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:06:16):
It is the most expensive one on the
shelf.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:06:18):
I would say.
It's not worth the sugar.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:06:20):
No.
If I'm gonna have sugar, youknow what I'm gonna have?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:06:24):
jelly beans.
Nope.
York.
Really?
Dude, that's, you're

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:06:32):
cereal killer.
I have like one or two a day.
You're a cereal killer.
Why?
That's just weird that I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:06:38):
I like mints.
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:06:39):
That's weird.
Dude.
why

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:06:42):
Why is that weird?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:06:43):
I mean, who likes York?
Dude?
I fucking love those

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:06:46):
Really?
It's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:06:47):
and I'm not the only one.
There's a reason Hgb sells themin bulk.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:06:52):
dude.
It's just like, what do you likeabout it?
Like you like the,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:06:54):
it's like after dinner or a meal, you
know?
I always have a LaCroix with ameal.
I can't drink normal water.
I gotta have, cuz I like thebubbles.
Sure.
And I like the, the carbonation.
I like to belch.
I think it's hilarious.
I have multiple videos of mejust belching.
when you're with, was was that like
an only fans
fan?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:07:14):
I didn't,
I should start

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:07:16):
There's a market for everything,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:07:17):
was funny though because I was at
the gym the other day and
no,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:07:21):
I was doing glute bridges and then
there's a lady three machinesdown and one over on a fly
machine.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:07:28):
You
And in between sets,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:07:30):
I just,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:07:31):
so like subconsciously I just like
blah and then I, I'm not reallythinking about it.
And then I look up and this ladyis staring at me, giving me the
stink eye that she's never hearda man belt

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:07:48):
before.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:07:49):
Like, why are you glaring at me?
Why are you so mad that I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:07:56):
She was staring

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:08:05):
How many times did he do it?
Or just like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:08:07):

And here's what I noticed,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:08:12):

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:08:14):
I live alone

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:08:14):

for a week in February and hemade me so self-conscious of

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:08:20):
my burping

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:08:21):
cuz he would comment on it every
time I did it.
Or he would do a fake one.

So I'd belch and then he'd belike, blah.
And I'm like, why did you dothat?
And he's like, because you did
it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:10:52):
Um, you know what's interesting,
bro?

I've been taking it for like twoyears straight, to be honest
with you.
HUZZAH You say HUZZAH Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:11:08):

thing, So, uh, I tried gettingoff it, man.
And just, how was that York, bythe way?
Was that good?
It

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:11:17):
so yummy.
There

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:11:18):

I could tell, dude, I could tellfrom your face, you know, like,
so you're just like listening tome and you're so satisfied,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:11:24):
I was enjoying what you were
saying,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:11:26):
Sure.
I know

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:11:28):
what you said.
I have no idea what you've beensaying since that rapper opened
up The fat boy inside of me

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:11:35):
is so happy right now I, can see
that.
I can see that.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:11:37):
I just satisfied him.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:11:39):
Oh my God, bro.
That's so

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:11:40):
I gave him a treat.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:11:41):
The monster He's like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:11:45):
Satisfy

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:11:45):
the monster for now.
Just one.
Just one.
Yeah.
He's like, more's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:11:49):
if I ate two.
Who eats two York mints and asitting?
Oh my

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:11:53):
God.
Fucking Vikings.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:11:54):
you're so funny, dude.
Um, so

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:11:57):
you, you, you were, I can't.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:11:59):
I did He's got York on the mind
man.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:12:08):

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:12:13):
I'm crying over here.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:12:16):
It's the York
Keep talking about

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:12:17):
things.
All right.
All right.
I'll, I'll take it.
I'll, I'll, I'll take the reins.
Um, so I used to, uh, take alot.
Well, I, I tried quitting.
That's what I'm trying to say.
Yes.
Is I tried quitting pre-workoutand it was, it was, it was too
difficult.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:12:30):
quitting.
What did that look like?
Cold Turkey, half scoop,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:12:33):
Turkey and just coffee, organic coffee
man.
And.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:12:36):
organic coffee

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:12:38):
or like, yeah, organic, like black
coffee and, uh, yeah, justdidn't, uh, it wasn't, it wasn't
good.
So I can, I can safely say I'maddicted to pre-workout right
now.
Which, which happens.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:12:48):
What do you think about teenagers
that take pre-workout?
It's unnecessary.
Why you shouldn't.
I mean, you shouldn't have totake pre-workout unless you have
to.
And if you're a beginner, it's
when do you have to

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:13:00):
well, when you're addicted,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:13:04):
When

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:13:04):
you're addicted, you have to, but like,
dude, I wish I never tookpre-workout.
I wish I never took Adderall.
I wish I never drank.
Cuz it's like, once you startdoing these things, it's very
difficult to stop because it'saddicting having an amazing
workout.
I'm just like going like this, going hard.
It's lateral raises, Okay,You're

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:13:26):
doing some romble.
It's like some reverse flies.
What?
What are you guys doing at thatDowntown Gold's Gym?
going like this
this?
We're going like
this?
We're going like this with theband.
I don't know.
Um, but like, I can't, I can'tgo back to just not taking it,
man.
So right now I, I, I trieddifferent ones.
Right now I'm taking beyond Lit.

(01:13:48):
heard that?
ones.
I think the kids at my gym aretaking it.
How many milligrams in a

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:13:54):
per serving so good question.
Like two 50.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:13:58):
Okay.
Normal

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:13:59):
is, which is normal.
But that's a lot, bro.
Two 50 is a lot.
And you have some that are likethree 90.
Or four 20, like 400

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:14:08):
None of them are four 20

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:14:09):
20.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:14:09):
Could you, be

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:14:11):
I was gonna say.
Yeah, like it was like there.
Boom.
Right my Dude.
Thanks so much.
I had to aim towards the

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:14:18):
the mic.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:14:20):
fans on, I can't, I, you know.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:14:22):
Damn, dude, I got that right here.
I appreciate that.
You made eye contact too.
You made eye contact.
You're like, I'm like, is thislike a, is this you trying to
like get along with me?
Dude, you

Microphone (Scarlett (01:14:33):
literally asked for it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:14:35):
You were like, I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:14:36):
to

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:14:36):
like 10 minutes ago.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:14:38):
Well, it takes time.
You can't just do
these things.
Spontaneous.
Oh my God.
Okay,
Dude,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:14:53):
we are children.
It's good.
It is good.
Okay.
There is a kid, who is, I forgetthe name of it, but Yeah.
One of the guys at my gym wastelling me, um, he's, he took
one, he only took it once, 400milligrams.
And he had two scoops.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:15:11):
scoop.
So 800 milligrams.
Yeah.
It's way too much.
That's, that's crazy.
18 years old.
Crazy.
It's fucked up,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:15:19):
you know.
And when I was 18, like when Istarted working out, yeah.
Even if me and Ed didn't make itinto the gym until 10 at night,
I never felt like I needed that.
I always had energy.
Right.
I was ready to go.
I didn't drink coffee until Iwas in college.
Good.
Never drink coffee.
Now I drink it seven days aweek.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:15:39):
week.
How much, how much coffee do youdrink?
One cup.
Really?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:15:41):
And today is, I had this,
technically this doesn't countcuz it's decaf, but there's
still a little bit in there.
Right.
But I have one cup and then Istop.
And when, when do you have your one
cup?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:15:51):
cup?
First thing in the morning.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:15:53):
So do you know what Andrew
Huberman?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:15:55):
Andrew?
Nope.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:15:56):
I'm a I'll,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:15:56):
know who?
Andrew Huber.
Oh, is you?
Yes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:15:59):
Okay.
I don't know, man.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:16:00):
was being

Microphone (Scarlett (01:16:00):
sarcastic.
Oh, okay.
Gotcha.
Because he has

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:16:02):
I know, I know Drew

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:16:06):
You know Drew personally,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:16:07):
I probably don't know whatever
you're about to reference, but Iknow of him.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:16:11):
You know of him.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:16:12):
I know of

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:16:12):
him.
Um, my friend actually met himhere.
Does he live in

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:16:17):
think he lives in Austin.
Dude.
He went to, what was it called?
I think a squash fitness dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:16:22):
Qua.
It's called Squash Fit.
It's called Squash Fitness.
Dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:16:27):
Squash.
Squash.
Uh, it's not, probably notsquash.
That's like Rick and Morty, but

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:16:31):
rick squash

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:16:32):
I think it's squa Squash.
Squash.
That be cool.
a squash fitness like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:16:39):
squash

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:16:39):
only big people could go there.
Ross.
He might get squashed.
It's like people die.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:16:45):
So, all right.
So Huberman goes to

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:16:47):
to

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:16:48):
whatever the gym

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:16:49):
Squash.
Yeah.
Here.
Here.
And he, uh, yeah.
Well, no, one of my friends methim, but that was a.
Basically what I was gonna sayis, uh, what he says is, you,
you should wait 90 minutes afterwaking up to have your coffee.
Well, what do you think of that?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:17:05):
I disagree.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:17:06):
He disagree with Andrew Huberman,
dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:17:08):
Oh, there it is.
Squat, frontier Fitness andGove.
Oh.
Looks like a bunch ofCrossFitters.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:17:16):
CrossFit

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:17:16):
good.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:17:19):
I don't blame you, bro.
Dude, I'm a, I'm

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:17:21):
not my speed

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:17:22):
speed tell you you're a bodybuilder.
You would say

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:17:26):
No, I just lift weights.
Um, what was I gonna say?
the nine.
So 90 minutes.
So he says 90 minutes.
You

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:17:35):
Thank you.
Thank you.
I don't agree.
Um, cuz then I'm awake already.
I don't need it at that point.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:17:42):
point.
So, so, so what do you take itanyway then

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:17:44):
to wake up?
I get out, here's what I doevery morning religiously.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:17:49):
hear your, your whole, your whole
morning routine.
It's pretty quick.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:17:52):
Okay.
6:00 AM the alarm goes off.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:17:54):
6:00 AM

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:17:55):
I chug this.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:17:56):
When do you go to bed these days?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:18:01):
So the podcast has been keeping me
up until about one in themorning.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:18:04):
morning.
Really?
Yep.
Because you're editing orsomething?
Or just recording.
Do
editing.
Recording.
we were having technical issueslike the camera, so emailing
the, the contacts I have fromthe software I'm using to report
the problem.
apple Podcast was giving us somegrief getting published on
there.
So there was one night I wastrying to fi it's a new problem
every.

(01:18:24):
The thing that I don't mindabout it is A, I've thoroughly
enjoyed problem solving andevery night I, when I accomplish
something, like when it finallywent live on Apple podcasts,
yeah.
I felt really good.
I was like, sweet.
That's, that's one we're onething closer to being ready to
publish on April 1st.
Good for you.
So I enjoy the process.
but that being said, Idefinitely am more tired than I

(01:18:44):
have been over the last coupleweeks because I typically would
go to bed between 10 and 11,probably fall asleep within 30
minutes of hitting the mattress.
Sure.
Whereas these days I'm gettingto bed between one and two
pretty consistently.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:18:57):
to Wow.
And then waking up at six,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:18:59):
get up at six.
So I get up at six.
Brutal.
I'd chug, I'd chug a waterbottle.
Yep.
I go and piss, I pour a cup ofcoffee.
I get the dog out of his crate,Uhhuh, I get the computer,
Uhhuh, we get back in bed withthe computer, the dog and the
coffee.
Really?
And the first hour of my day isworking on the podcast and
drinking that coffee.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:19:18):
Good for you man.
Then we leave the cell phone

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:19:21):
phone home

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:19:21):
and me and the dog with only keys in
a bag.
We go for a 30 to 35 minutewalk.
No technology.
I love it.
Just us in nature.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:19:29):
nature.
Beautiful.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:19:29):
Get back home, make a smoothie with
protein, powder, athleticgreens, almond butter, almond
milk, vitamin D, some fruit, some ice.
Blend that up.
Fire up the work computer.
Perfect.
And get the day started.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:19:45):
Perfect.
Nice.
I.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:19:46):
it.
Fuck that.
Andrew Huberman,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:19:49):
So if I did what you said, Hey,
you're calling it dude, he has abig podcast, bro.
He'll come after you.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:19:53):
That's fine.
I'd be honored.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:19:57):
I'd be honored.
He knocked at your door.
You know how many listeners I would
get
You would get a lot.
Remember

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:20:02):
Everyone would want to know what we're
talking about.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:20:03):
Come here, Andrew.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:20:04):
on.
Drew.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:20:05):
Come on, drew.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:20:06):
No, he's very smart.
I, the little bit, I've listenedto him.
Anything he says, I'm sure it'sprobably accurate, but for me
it's like a tradition.
You wake up and you get to startwith that hot cup of coffee.
It's a little chilly outside.
Sure.
You feel it in your belly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:20:20):
Sure.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:20:21):
you're editing your podcast.
Yeah.
Your dog's licking your toes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:20:26):
you know?
Right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:20:27):
I got tongue on my toes and coffee
in my mouth.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:20:30):
tongue on your toes and cough in your
mouth to do the only fans, bro.
Actually, I will.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:20:36):
All right.
Morning routine.
What's it look?
Do you have a morning routine?

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:20:40):
routine?
Yeah, I do.
I mean,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:20:41):
mean, What?
Nothing.
I was thinking about that belch.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:20:48):
Oh, the belt The direct hit.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:20:52):
There's a

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:20:53):
hit.
I was like, ah, Well, bro, Ijust wanna say man, uh, you
know, based, you know, uh,tangent from the belch is, I
think it's great that you spendyour morning doing that.
Like you're, you're standing uplate and you're in the morning
doing this as well.
again, that's why you're gonnabe big, bro, is because you're,
you're, you're working your assoff on this.

(01:21:13):
So I think that's awesome.
My morning routine is I wake up,I don't touch my fucking phone.
I can't if I touch my phone, because one of the first things
that you get your dopamine with,in the morning, so if you wake
up and look at your phone, floods all your dopamine because
you're looking at all thenotifications that you got, then
your whole day, or at least thisis per I can talk personally.

(01:21:35):
My whole day is I'm looking atmy Thank you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:21:38):
Well,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:21:39):
I was almost, are you sent to I
would I would've ended this,bro.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:21:45):
and I know I'm not and I'm not ready
yet.
We're only through, we're onlythrough question number six and
I have 35
Are you serious here?
We 35.
all of them.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:21:58):
good for you, dude.
This guy, this guy.
You created 35 questions.
yeah, I'm honored.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:22:04):
actually, we went over more than six
because we're sort of bouncingaround.
All right, so you don't checkyour phone.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:22:11):
So yeah, the first

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:22:12):
you wait before you go on.
What time do you go to bed?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:22:16):
So this is, this is, this is what's
tough right now, bro, is I'm anight person.
I, it's hard for me to go to bedearly.
It's hard for me to wake upearly.
Um, so I go to bed right now atlike 11, 12 and wake up at
seven.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:22:30):
like, so you're getting almost eight
hours of sleep every night.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:22:33):
I try.
Do you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:22:33):
asleep right away?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:22:35):
I do, I do.
Recently I do

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:22:37):
what's the 30 minutes before you go to
bed look like?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:22:41):
So I always watch like, honestly
like a show on Netflix just toturn my brain off.
Mm-hmm.
And it's also like a littletreat that I give myself.
I'm like, all right.
Like a York mint.
Like a york mint.
Exactly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:22:51):
Exactly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:22:52):
But I'm not weird about it, you know
what I mean?
So I so I watch a Netflix show,it's like something stupid.
Like for example, I'm watchingLove Is Blind right now,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:23:01):
is boring
So I like stuff like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:23:03):
like that.
It's very, uh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:23:05):
do you watch that?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:23:06):
that?
Not the current season, but Iwas gonna say it's very, um,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:23:11):
trying

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:23:11):
shut my brain off esque.
It's not, it's not complicated.
There's not a lot of thinking.
It's very entertaining.
It's entertaining.
Yeah.
But it is important to be like,I'm mindful of it cuz if I'm
about to go to sleep, one of theworst things that you can do is
listen to like a reality show, because reality TV is some of
the lowest energy that you canpossibly expose yourself to.

(01:23:32):
It's just so much bullshit.
It's just drama and bullshit andit's totally not good for you.
So I know that.
So what I do is I watch like 30minutes of it, and then, and
this is ideal.
I don't do this every night tobe honest with you.
I turn off Netflix and then turnoff the phone.
I, I, I meditate, I journal andjust go into bed.

(01:23:52):
And then I have an affirmationtrack that I listen to when I
feel myself getting sleepy.
I listen to the affirmationtrack because it gets in my
subconscious mind you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:24:00):
a timer on for it?
So it just shuts offautomatically.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:24:02):
it's a 22 minute affirmation track,
so it goes off after 22 minutesI'm gonna fall asleep.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:24:08):
whatever,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:24:09):
like, whatever comes to mind about the
day.
Any insights I have.
A lot of it is just to get thethoughts on paper.
Cuz otherwise, like it might bein my head, I'm trying to think
about it.
Um, so bad journaling though,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:24:22):
the first, are you writing a
sentence?

Microphone (Scarlett (01:24:24):
sentence?
Sometimes I'm writing justcouple pages, four sentences.
Not, not a couple.
I'm bad with like journaling.
Do you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:24:30):
you use any kind of prompts or do
you just go

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:24:32):
or I just go, I write one sentence
at top like, today was a goodday or just so I remember it.
Or, today was terrible.
The one on David's podcast.
Terrible.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:24:44):
I can tell from all the laughing.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:24:46):
right?
There you go.
That you're doing in New York?
Yeah.
It's terrible.
Uh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:24:51):
Do you want me to get you one?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:24:53):
Sure.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:24:53):
You want a York?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:24:54):
Yeah, as long as you have it with me,
bro.
Let's have her second one.
I already have mine.
Have your second one, bro.
Mm-hmm.
Come on man.
I can't break.
Good for you.
And you, you put in the freezer?
Yeah.
See what all the hype is

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:25:07):
I'm not crazy.
I don't need a room temperature.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:25:09):
need him.
Then I'll tell you.
All right then I'll tell you.
Uh oh.
He wants one bro.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:25:16):
you want a treat?
You want a treat?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:25:19):
Dude, your dog is like the best.
His energy is so on point.
Hmm.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:25:31):
Did you have that all in one bite?
No.
You didn't have three bikes?
No, I have my, uh,
Can you sit, sit.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:25:41):
bro.
You could tell he meditates orsome shit.
Like his, his vibe is reallygood.
He's very calm.
He's very calm.
Is he a rescue?
He's great.
Yep.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:25:51):
Really?
I could tell.
See, I could tell his eyes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:25:55):
Uh, what about him?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:25:56):
Like, they're just very kind, like you
can tell like a rescues dog.
Like he appreciates you a lot.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:26:01):
you know what makes me feel awful
when I have to discipline him?
You know what he does?
After I spank him,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:26:07):
feel What Doess he do

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:26:09):
he puts his, he puts his paws on my
chest, he climbs up onto mychest and he puts his head in my
beard.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:26:15):
his head no way.
Dude.
Are you serious?
his way of like saying, sorry.
I'm sorry, daddy.
way of rescue.
I'm sorry

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:26:22):
that I shit on the

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:26:23):
the power forward.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:26:24):
While you were out partying It was St.
Patty's Day.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:26:28):
Day.
He actually did that.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:26:30):
I took him for an hour long walk
and he didn't shit.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:26:34):
really

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:26:34):
I took him for an an hour Spencer.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:26:37):
And how, how, when does he usually
shut?
Twice
day in the morning, in the evening.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:26:41):
morning.
Okay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:26:42):
And I typically don't go out at
night, but it was St.
Patty's dad, a friend who's in aband.
He invited me out.
I wanted to support him.
Good

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:26:48):
a bank for you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:26:49):
for you.
And he wasn't going on stageuntil 11.
Um, turned out 1230 Uh, whichwas fine.
It was worth it.
It was worth the wait.
Yeah.
But I get home at one 30 and Ijust wanted to crash, you know?
I'm so tired.
Sure.
I I walk through the front doorand I smell it
you knew right
and I think No problem.

(01:27:10):
I'll get a bag, I'll get thecarpet cleaner.
I'm looking around for it, andhe looks like he walked over the
power strip where all of this isplugged into and put one leg on
either side of it.
And he shot

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:27:26):
really?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:27:26):
On top of the power strip.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:27:28):
strip.
Like out, like a, like he wasgetting birth.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:27:32):
I was furious

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:27:33):
fu really

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:27:34):
because I had to unplug every single
thing and take bleach wipes andlike cleaning out the little
prongs that go in the holes.
Oh

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:27:42):
my God.
Dude, it's so crazy.
He, he, he chose that spot.
So I spanked them and then he went
off to his cray.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:27:50):
You're such a, that's so Christian of
you.
I feel like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:27:54):
Spare the rod.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:27:55):
What does that mean?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:27:56):
Don't spare the rod.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:27:58):
the rod.
Don't spare the rod.
I don't know what that means.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:28:01):
It means if you don't discipline
your kids, they'll grow up to belittle heathens.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:28:06):
Wow.
Christian Ya's.
Interesting

Microphone (Scarle (01:28:08):
interesting.
You beat your children, right?
Right.
then he goes into his crate.
I'm done cleaning up the shit

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:28:13):
shit

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:28:14):
I get in bed, I forgot to close
his crate door.
So then he comes walking intothe room, jumps up on my chest
and lays down next to me.
It's like two 15 in the morning.
At this point.
I'm like, you know what?
I'm not even gonna put him inbed.
I'm just gonna let him stay hereto make up for spanking'em.
So he got to sleep in my bed onSt.
Patty's Day.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:28:33):
Beautiful, bro.
Beautiful

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:28:36):
Thanks.
Yeah.
Do you have a pet?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:28:40):
Uh, I have one at home.
But you know what's crazy, man?
Is I had a, in New York.
In New York.
In New York, which isinteresting.
I still call that home.
I don't even mean to do that.
But I had a, a rescue dog namedMacy when I was growing up and
she was the best, bro.
I'm telling you.
Rescue dogs are the best.
And what she would do issomething similar is she would
jump on on me, put her paws off, like, like actually gimme a

(01:29:04):
hunk.
Put her head like right here,
Aw.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:29:08):
like a little human.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:29:10):
He sits on my lap every night.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:29:12):
Does he?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:29:12):
We'll get in that recliner.
Turn on Netflix just like you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:29:16):
Just Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:29:16):
Put that bitch up.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:29:18):
There you go.
The lazy boy between

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:29:19):
my legs.
I throw blanket over'em.
Yeah.
And then he starts snoring.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:29:23):
starts Really?
That's so cute.
Dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:29:25):
perfect way to look at.
Look at this guy, man.
Look how he just stares at me.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:29:28):
loves you bro.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:29:29):
It's really annoying.
How?
See what he's doing right now.
He loves you.
He does that all day.
Really?
I'll be sitting here trying tofocus and he'll be sitting right
there

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:29:38):
I was staring it It's a good stare

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:29:45):
for an hour.
For an hour.
Really?
I'm like, dude, don't you have
something better to be doingwith your time right now?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:29:53):
Dude, I kind of want him

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:29:54):
You can take him.
Really?
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:29:56):
Okay, so I'll give you the coin.
Coin for the dog.
Yeah.
I don't even like this.
Yeah, he's, he just loves you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:30:06):
I think his head is
disproportional to his body.
I think he's a little overweight
to be honest.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:30:12):
What?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:30:13):
That's a personal tr dude, I told you
right when I got in here, I'mlike, he's a little large.
I didn't want to offend you thatclearly.
I
saying like a large dog, not like you
were fat shaming him.
Oh

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:30:22):
no, I wouldn't, I wouldn't say I was
fat shaming your dog, dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:30:25):
your, why

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:30:25):
do you think

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:30:26):
he's
he's overweight?
What do I think he's overweight?
Yeah.
Uh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:30:32):
If you just say some shit like, cuz
he is,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:30:35):
No, I'm not gonna
how do you talk to your trainers as
a trainer or to your train?
How do you talk to your

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:30:38):
client?
He's like, what?
So what I would say is I have tosee it.
Uh, what kind of dog is he?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:30:45):
we don't know

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:30:45):
You don't know.
So I'll have to see like anormal picture of what, what a
normal version this dog looks.
I think eight

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:30:52):
dogs, eight different breeds all
hooked up.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:30:55):
Oh, they all had an orgy.
So

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:30:56):
four babies
were

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:30:58):
had and then those four babies all
hooked up.
Well like two.
Two,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:31:03):
incest

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:31:04):
and then they had babies.
Then those babies met and had adog, right?
And Thad was born

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:31:13):
born.
He's a product of, uh, of insets

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:31:15):
because I really think he's Ridgeback,
pit Bull, Chihuahua, MinPin,Dachsund.
I see all of this in him.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:31:24):
I can see that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:31:25):
his colors, his mannerisms, uh, his.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:31:28):
weight,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:31:29):
How he herds other dogs at the dog
park.
One guy who's a, uh, uh, a, acow herding dog trainer, he was
like, yeah, he definitely hassome herder in'em.
Right?
I was like, how do you knowthat?
And he's like, cuz he is hurtingthe dogs.
Oh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:31:43):
there you go.
There you go.
Yeah.
Great.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:31:47):
It's like, sir, who are you?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:31:48):
Who are
are you?
It's like, I'm an expert
the dog whisperer.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:31:52):
It's like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:31:53):
I actually want to have a dog
expert on the show, but I don'tknow what to call them.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:31:56):
Sure.
You don't know what to callthem?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:31:59):
I, because I don't want like a vet.
I want someone who I can askquestions about what he thinks
about

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:32:04):
about.
Um,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:32:06):
a dog

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:32:07):
Dog psychologist.
A dog psychologist?
Yeah.
Okay.
Someone who specializes in, indog thinking

Microphone (Scarlet (01:32:13):
specializes right?
Who is that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:32:16):
Goo dude?
I don't know.
Google it.
Be like, person who specializedude is Austin, Texas.
You're gonna find somebodyfucking does that.
For real.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:32:23):
I had a guy on who wants me to
find someone.
He wants to come back and hewants me to get a third mic,
which I will do.
And he wants me to find someonethat can interpret dreams.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:32:33):
that Yes.
Yes dude.
I know people, I know people.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:32:40):
you know dream interpreters.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:32:41):
I mean, not officially, but I know
like people who are so into itwho have calls every week where
they interpret dreams.
What do you think of dreams?
Do you think.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:32:49):
dreams?
I don't give them much weight.
I, if, I think it's interesting,I'll journal about it.
The, uh, first thing in themorning because I wanna try to
remember it.
Right.
And you can't, your braindisposes that file.
Yeah.
So if you don't write it down,it's gone.
Yep.
At least for most people.
Yep.
Um, I love my dreams, but Idon't think anything about them
that's really, yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:33:09):
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:33:10):
only ones that bother me is, it's
actually funny, the night of thepodcast where we, we were
talking about dreams.
We probably talked about it fora good 20 or 30 minutes.
Like it took up a bulk of the,the episode.
and that night I had a dream Iwas gonna die.
I didn't like it very much.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:33:25):
much.
Walk me through that dude.
So you had a dream that you weregonna die.
that.
I don't remember a lot ofspecifics because I
intentionally didn't write itdown, but I remember waking up
four in the morning, didn'twanna go back to bed, so I just
got up and got my day started

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:33:37):
like Cause I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:33:38):
didn't wanna have it again.
That

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:33:39):
got up and got my day started after
dreaming that I was gonna die

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:33:43):
die.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:33:44):
She's
gonna die soon.
May as well get some stuff done.
What,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:33:47):
what's your, I mean, I give you a
memento of Mori coin.
What's your thoughts on death?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:33:52):
on death?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:33:53):
Yeah.
Well, we talked about this already.
What

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:33:59):
Did we talk about, what do you mean?
We talked about this

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:34:00):
about, we talked about, oh, is that off
camera?
Maybe when we were talking aboutheaven or Hell and I was in the
parking lot and,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:34:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I feel like that's not, like, what do you think happens?
So you think that we go toheaven or Hell?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:34:13):
I think that there's probably
something after.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:34:17):
Like a heaven or like, or just in
general?
sort of paradise, some sort of,
some

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:34:23):
I, I don't think we start over
again.
You know how some people willsay oh, in a past life, maybe I
was a lawyer because they didsomething lawyer esque.
I don't think we're just reborninto earth.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:34:34):
we're just, can I tell you what I
think?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:34:35):
I, I was going to Yes, please.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:34:38):
so, I think this is, this is what I
know.
I know
Can I pee real quick?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:34:43):
real quick?
Sure.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:34:43):
Don't forget.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:34:44):
All right.
Okay.
Go ahead.
Keep, uh, I'll keep theaudience.
Are you pausing it or just?
Nope.
All right.
See, I know.
Any jokes?
Um, I don't, no jokes, but, uh,yeah, I do wanna be a standup

(01:35:15):
comedian though, so I have to, Ihave to create some jokes for
that probably.
I think, I think the main thingis to have like, characters that
I can do, you know, so like, there's like a, like an Italian
guy, so I could do like anItalian guy.
He's like, Hey, hey, how youdoing?
You know, something like that.

(01:35:35):
Hey, how you doing?
You from around here?
Like, stuff like that.
I wanna do like knock, knockjokes or anything.

(01:35:59):
All right.
All right.
What happens when I die?
Well,
was just gonna say, dude, I think
that, um, this is what I know.
What I know is that, so we'relooking at each other right now,
right?
Mm-hmm.
what I know is that, and this iswhy I'll just say it,
say

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:36:14):
I believe, and I know that we are
the same, right?
So there's an energy, there's asoul in, in everyone's bodies.
Mm-hmm.
So it's essentially God, orwhatever you call it, I mean, or
energy or, or source.
There's a source in everyone'sbody.
So we are the same, but we'reexperiencing different lives,

(01:36:37):
different bodies, completelydifferent separate experiences,
but at the core of it is thesame.
So your relationship withyourself is the most important
thing, right?
Because if you hate yourself, you're gonna hate me for no
reason.
If you're angry with yourself, you're gonna be angry at me for
no reason.
Why do you think that is?
It's because it's all,everything's a reflection of

(01:36:58):
you.
Mm-hmm.
So if you look at like your dna,and just like your body is
literally all the years ofuniverse.
And in one form, like, however, the longest it's been like 44
billion.
So if you want something inlife, like you want love, you
don't say, oh, I have to go getlove or go get success.

(01:37:19):
You have to be like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:37:20):
get it.
You have to give it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:37:21):
Exactly.
And why do you think that is?
You don't know.
Okay.
Bec I, I wanted you to justlike,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:37:32):
no, I, I'm,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:37:33):
like swing at it.
I want I want you to swing at itthough.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:37:36):
Why do you, um, because if
you can spend your

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:37:38):
whole life waiting for it, what if
you, what if you're just alwayswaiting?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:37:41):
for, interesting.
Okay.
So you're looking at it as likea materialistic sort of sense?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:37:44):
No, I'm looking at it in the sense
of if I want, if I want to, if Iwant to get something, I'm not
willing to give it,

Microphone (Scarlett (01:37:53):
something,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:37:54):
I'm never gonna get it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:37:56):
get.
Why?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:37:58):
Because why?
If I, let's go with the exampleof love.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:38:03):
Sure.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:38:03):
I'm not a loving person,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:38:05):
person,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:38:06):
would anyone love me?
I mean, some people might, ifthey feel obligated to mom,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:38:11):
have talked

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:38:11):
about earlier.
Yeah.
Maybe a sibling, maybe a closefriend.
Sure.
Maybe someone who genuinelycares about me.
But the people as a whole aregonna see, if I'm not capable of
giving love, it's probably towhat you were saying, cuz you
either hate yourself, you'redepressed, you're anxious,
you're stressed, you're lonely,whatever it is.

(01:38:33):
Yeah.
And so people aren't gonnagravitate that and be like, oh,
I want to love this.
Really

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:38:38):
to love this.
Right.
You know, definitely.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:38:40):
So, um, I think that if I want
kindness, the best way to findit is to give it out.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:38:47):
find people, a hundred percent.
I
want love, the best way to find it is
to give it

Microphone (Scarlet (01:38:51):
Absolutely.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:38:52):
I want people to forgive me, the
best way to find that is to beforgiving of others if they
offend me

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:38:57):
people.
Yes.
So I I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:38:59):
that with every trait that I would
want to receive back.

Microphone (Scarlet (01:39:02):
everything.
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:39:03):
Yeah.
And you have to give it without,um, you have to give it without
expecting in return.
No kidding.
If I show love to 10 people, Ican't expect 10 people to love
me back

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:39:14):
because then it's not truly love.
Right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:39:16):
truly true.
It's not truly love.
And it also won't happen becausenot everyone's gonna
reciprocate.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:39:20):
gonna, right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:39:21):
There is one of, there's this guy at
the gym and, he was doing likefive plates on a back machine
and keeping good form

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:39:29):
that sounds crazy.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:39:29):
keeping going at a good pace.
He wasn't rushing it, he wasn'tjerking his body

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:39:34):
And they're gonna say he

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:39:35):
know, like, you know, he, he
well, I thought you were gonna say
jerking off.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:39:37):
off.
He wasn't jerking off his five
one.
H

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:39:42):
his little give and take, you know?
out of every hole.
Oh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:39:51):
what a fucking sight.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:39:53):
That'd be crazy, dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:39:54):
I don't even know what I would do.
I would film it.
I would just be

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:39:56):
like this guy in the gym,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:39:59):
and so I, I went up and I, I
complimented and I was like, dude, that is, you did a great,
great job, great set, veryimpressive, whatever.
We had a five minuteconversation about back
workouts, technique, shookhands, exchanged names, parted
ways.
I finished my workout, went tothe locker room, did my 20
minutes on the sauna.
On my way out I saw him.

(01:40:20):
I thought, I'll walk over.
I'll say goodbye.
Ask him what he's doing with hisweekend, cuz it's a Friday,
right?
And he got very weirded out bythat.
Really?
I could tell like it the look onhis face.
Yeah.
And almost, I don't know.
he got weirded out by it.
So I was like, you're weekendcuz it's Friday.
What are you doing with it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:40:35):
Maybe you thought you were hitting on
him or something?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:40:37):
I think so, yeah.
So, only reason I bring that upis to say that from my
perspective, I was, I'm new toAustin, I don't have any
friends, not in a lonely way.
I literally moved to a city 1800miles away where I know

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:40:50):
I'm your friend, bro.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:40:50):
Thank you.
I'm making friends for gettingthere.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:40:52):
You're, you're gonna make a lot of
friends,
you're, I appreciate that.
he didn't reciprocate, right?
So not everyone's going to, forone reason or another, whether
he thought I was hitting on him.
Maybe he was just having a badday.
Maybe he was in the middle ofhis head about his workout.
I interrupted his workout and itjust threw him off.
You know, who knows?
So that's why I, that is why Isay, if you want love, kindness,

(01:41:14):
forgiveness, whatever it is, youhave to realize not everyone's
gonna return it because theymight not be in that same head
space that you are.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:41:20):
reach.
Agreed.
I totally agree with you.
Yeah.
And that's the, the beauty ofthat though, is that like, you
going up to him, like that's atrue expression.

Microphone (Scarlet (01:41:30):
expression,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:41:30):
or whatever you call it.
Like you're just trying toconnect with him and it's just
if he doesn't reciprocate thatback, that's okay.
Mm-hmm.
because you tried doing that.
Like you ever read the fouragreements?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:41:42):
Don't make assumptions.
There you go.
Don't make assumptions, but Iwas gonna say, don't take
anything personally.
Right, right.
Because it's, that's, that'swhatever's going on with him.
Yeah.
That's nothing to do with you.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:41:51):
nothing.
Exactly.
What were you gonna say though, before you made me take a swing
of it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:41:55):
take money?
Oh yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:41:56):
do you have to give?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:41:58):
get, be?
Because there's no separationbetween you and the universe.
So if you want something fromthe universe like love, you
can't be like, I'm gonna go getit.
Or let's say like money, right?
You can't be like, I'm gonna goget money.
Like, that's a very, and I'msure that works, but that's a
very masculine way of doing it.
Instead of what you can do iswhat is the thing about money is

(01:42:23):
value exchange.
I'm gonna give value and I getmoney from it.
Or love is

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:42:29):
is.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:42:30):
I think about love.
I feel love.
You know what that's going todo?
It's going to attract lovebecause you are the universe.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:42:37):
Because

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:42:38):
know this is deep as fuck, bud, you,
right?
Yep.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:42:43):
I'm trying to find a quote for you
that has to do with this.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:42:49):
for, so that's what I believe and I
know it, man.
I mean, I've taken psychedelicsand I'm telling you, man, it's,
it's.
It's a thing.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:43:04):
We'll get back to your psychedelics in
a second.
There's this quote I heard, Idon't think this is, I'm trying
to figure out where it's frombecause I wanted to quote the
source.
It might be someone named, no,it's not Joe Biden.
I'm not, did you just say JoeBiden?
No,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:43:21):
Joe Byron.
not about to quote the president.
As we're talking about why youneed to give love in order to
get love You ever heard thequote?
It might be by a guy namedJoseph Camp.
Regardless, it goes, all thegods, all the heavens are within
you.
You ever heard that one?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:43:37):
you.
I haven't, but I agree.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:43:38):
agree.
It's, but this one I think iswrong.
I thought it was all the gods, all the heavens, all the angels,
all the demons are within you.
I thought it expanded on it alittle bit.
Um, why do you agree with that?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:43:48):
with that?
I think it's, I know it's, Iknow it to be true.
I know it to be true, man.
Like self love is the mosthealing thing that you can do,
and that's what I try to do withclients is like, so many people
are so hard themselves, and it'sso important to release trauma
and release emotion, whetherit's through psychedelics, plant
medicine or meditation or breathwork or working out.

(01:44:09):
It's like you need to, like, there's a masculine feminine,
and the feminine is like lettinggo of all that bullshit and
accepting yourself.
Another word for a surrender,right?
Just surrender to your life, toyour experience.
You don't have to.
You know what I mean?
You ever listen

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:44:28):
Chris Williamson?
He's, he sounds fam Yeah, I do.
Modern wisdom.
Yes.
He's great, bro.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:44:33):
One of his episodes he was talking
about in life we try to fightthings.
You try to fight the pain ofyour workout, you try to fight
that your coach told you to doone more.
You try to fight, that you'retrying to make 20 minutes in the
sauna.
and he is embracing a newmindset where you just
surrendered everything.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:44:50):
What if you just, it's the feminine
to

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:44:52):
to the fact that I have to do 20
minutes in the sauna?
There are no if ands or buts andstuff fighting it.
I'm just gonna sue it.
I've been thinking about thatone a lot lately cuz I, I, I
looked at the word surrender.
I, I don't know if you do thatvery often, but I know what
words mean, but I'm like, Hmm,well we did it earlier with what
do we look up Community.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:45:13):
community.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:45:13):
Sometimes I wanna see what the literal
definition is.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:45:16):
for sure.
It's good.
but I'm trying to embrace that
concept.
When I'm going through asituation I don't like, how do I
just surrender to it?
It's not always easy to do.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:45:26):
comment you ever read The Power of Now?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:45:28):
Nope.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:45:29):
That's a great book that, that you
should list.
That's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:45:33):
a great book that I should listen
to.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:45:34):
well, I listened to a lot of audio
books, but, or read it.
But, and I'll, I'll get it foryou, brother.
It's, it's an amazing book byEckhart Tole where you surrender
to the present moment.
So everything's just your prethe present moment, right?
Mm-hmm.
And that book changed my life.
Like it's one of my top threebooks, four Agreements, power of
Now.
How to win friends and influencepeople.

(01:45:55):
All tho all those were really
Dale, Carnegie.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:45:56):
of course, man.
Yeah, of course you read it man.
You're a podcast host.
Makes sense.
but yeah, dude, that, thesurrender is I can't do anything
about this.
I think surrender has to do withacceptance.
I accept what is going on nowand I'm okay with what happens.
However, it's a dynamic betweenthat and the masculine of I'm of

(01:46:21):
what?
That motivational, like whatthat motivational thing that was
a masculine thing to do, whichhas this place like you have to
change your life.
David Goggins is masculine,right?
You have to do this, you have todo that.
And that's great.
But also that feminine of dude, you have to give yourself a
break.
Surrender to the process oflosing weight snap.
That is gonna be difficult, butdon't give yourself too much

(01:46:46):
leeway.
It's a dance.
And that's why if I had toidentify with something like
Daoism, I don't know howfamiliar you are with Daoism,
like yin and Yang Daoism

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:46:55):
you did a post about that?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:46:57):
I did.
I'd skipped that.
You creeper
I started watching the first few
seconds and I was like, I'm notgonna get a question from this

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:47:04):
one.
Oh, really?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:47:05):
Sorry.
you had a lot of posts.
I, I had, you have to pick and.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:47:10):
choose.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:47:10):
When I was going, when I was getting
ready for he's interview.
Yeah.
She had like over a thousandposts.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:47:15):
Yeah.
But it's all in Afghani.
which made it even harder.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:47:19):
So how, yeah.
How'd you.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:47:21):
you interpreted that?
So I dropped it into Google.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:47:23):
Nice.
And Google

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:47:24):
it was French

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:47:26):
which

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:47:27):
is not Right.
but she, it was a lot oflistening to our videos, but
also just interpreting theimages.
Sure.
Our pictures are, are worth athousand words.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:47:36):
She just posted.
She's great.
I mean, she just postedsomething where she was like
being emotional and then Jimlike crying and then Jim, I saw
that.
Yeah.
Good.
And she's killing it.
She has 20

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:47:48):
90

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:47:52):
kids.
She, she, she shouted me out onetime.
Thank you.
And I got 50 followers.
time.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:48:00):
They're all like Afghani.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:48:02):
I really, dude.
I like it.
That's so funny.
I got

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:48:05):
50 follow, like 50 followers.
She

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:48:07):
you out to 90,000 people.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:48:09):
Yep.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:48:11):
Maybe it, was it a while ago?
Was it recently?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:48:13):
Because it was a while ago.
A couple months ago.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:48:14):
ago.
Okay.
Because the 90,000 I think shesaid was like in the last 30
days.
last 50.
Yeah, bro.
Dude, there's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:48:20):
a very specific post she made of
her parents dancing and I guessthat the way they were dancing
is not.
it's like in Moroccan culture, you would never be seen dancing
like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:48:31):
and that blew

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:48:31):
lot.
But they were smiling and theywere having fun and they didn't
care and they were so happy.
Yeah.
And people were just like soenergized that just another
Moroccan reposted it.
Who reposted it and it justwent, it literally went viral.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:48:46):
how you get it.
You, you get a post that goesviral.
Yeah.
Good for her, man.
She's at 90.
That's that's what you gotta do,dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:48:53):
dude.
It'll happen one day,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:48:54):
day.
It's gonna, yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:48:55):
it'll happen.
Cup give it a few months, giveit a couple episodes.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:48:59):
part of the whole manifestation thing
too, man, is like really?
You, you have the power tochoose your life.
So choose like, yeah, I chooseto have a, a popular podcast.
Boom.
It's gonna take time.
But

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:49:10):
I remember a couple weeks ago I
was attending a virtualconference about something
podcast related, but the veryend of it, um, one of the
questions in the q and a thatthey asked the host was, if you
could go back and tell youryounger podcasting self
something Yeah.
What would it be?
a good question.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:49:28):
And her response was along the lines
of, it would've been to tellmyself and to know and believe
that I am just as worthy tointerview anyone that comes as
my podcast, as much as anyoneelse is worthy to interview that
person too.
I really liked it.
it.
Great.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:49:45):
cool.
That's a good mindset to go
Yeah.
Dude.
You like, do you feel worthy?
I do.
That's good.
Yeah.
It's cuz you have the variety ofLaCroixs.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:49:53):
LaCroix.
It's the variety of
LaCroix.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:49:55):
I think too, there's a sense of,
um, there's a sense of feeling.
I'm not half-assing it, youknow, I, I feel ready.
You're doing your, like, I'vehad a couple people who show up
and they're like, oh yeah, like, you're actually, like, you got
mics and you

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:50:12):
legit lights and

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:50:13):
whatever the fuck these are.
And you know, I'm, it's not likeyou walked in.
What would your reaction havebeen if you walked in tonight?
And when I said we're gonnastart recording, I got out my
phone, I put it on the middle ofthe table and I hit record.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:50:29):
hit it.
It just, it wouldn't be as

Microphone (Scarl (01:50:31):
professional.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:50:32):
I mean, I, I mean, I told you in
the beginning, I'm like, dude,I'm kind of nervous, right?
Mm-hmm.
because this is like, this isprofessional.
I think that's part, that waspart of the reason.
So if you had the phone, I'd belike, this is

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:50:43):
of like, who is this guy

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:50:43):
like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:50:44):
Why am I over in his home with all
his kids' toys?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:50:47):
this is sword.
What

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:50:48):
is going on?
As York
as my dog is shitting on the

Microphone (Scarlett (01:50:52):
electrical reports, you're just like,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:50:53):
Jesus

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:50:54):
as your dog is
he

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:50:55):
like legs spread, just like making
eye contact.
Wow.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:50:59):
He, he, dude, sometimes he does that
and I, I tell him, you're not, Itell him out loud, I talk to
him.
I'm like, you're not allowed tomake eye contact when you're
yawning and shitting.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:51:10):
yawn.
It's weird to

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:51:12):
yawning, to look right at you and be
like, The dude, it's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:51:17):
like burping bros.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:51:18):
but you asked for it.
Not like an intimate thing, dude.
I did not ask to be You made meuncomfortable, bro.
The next time, see
old lady at the gym, I'm gonna walk
right up to her, give you a footfrom her and just let it blast.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:51:34):
let's like, Hey, toots Heys.
Hey Toots I got

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:51:39):
got toys.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:51:40):
I got, I got a question for you.
Then she's like, what?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:51:47):
like

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:51:47):
America bitch.
She be like, oh my Lord.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:51:56):
she probably die.
She's like 90 years old

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:52:00):
She'd be like my heaven when

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:52:01):
she hears me say, America, bitch.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:52:09):
America.
Bitch.
I mean, dude, she was around inWorld War

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:52:12):
ii.
Oh my God.
Right?
What?
Oh yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:52:17):
She's just 10 years old.
Let's see if it's 2023.
So 60, 83.
Yeah, potentially.
Yeah, like 10.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:52:29):
Um,
one question I wanted to ask you is,
I think a lot of people, a lotof people, maybe all of us, I
would include myself in this.
Would like to change our habits, whether it's drinking.
My current one is I have thisfree fucking online virtual
trainer through work, um,specifically for my low back

(01:52:50):
pain.
And it's supposed to be a 20minute workout every day, and I
haven't been doing it.
And my excuses, I have afull-time job, I have a podcast.
I go to the gym for two hours.
Like it's, it's, and, and him,he takes, where'd he
Yo, he walked away.
Oh, I'm
Oh, Um, this guy go shadow shit on
your course, dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:53:10):
we all have habits, right?
Even you, you probably, youmight have something in your
life you're trying to changeright now, whether it's going to
bed earlier to stop drinking ishuge, I think, to stop anything
smoking, drugs.
if I wanted to stopprocrastinate, maybe you, you
stop watching TV to get to thegym.

(01:53:30):
So you, in your last three yearshave completely revamped your
life.
what does the beginning of thatprocess look like?
You want to drastically changeyour life.
How do you, how do you do that?
What's the, what's the beginningprocess look

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:53:45):
Lemme try to break it down in steps.
So I would say number one is youhave to get super clear with

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:53:52):
one, what

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:53:53):
you're stopping.
Number one say, I'm gonna stopthis or I'm gonna start doing
this.
Number two is understand why youwant to do it.
I think the why is so importantwith these things because.
Yeah, you can always changecertain things, but at the end
of the day, like we don't, as asociety use our emotions as much
as we should.

(01:54:13):
So get clear as to what you wantto change.
Get clear as to why, and thenmake a decision.
Number two.
So tho that's a separate step.
Get clear why, and then make adecision.
Now a decision is broken down inLatin.
I used to take Latin for fouryears.
I fucking loved it, dude.
So good Roman history, all thatstuff.

(01:54:34):
And decision is broken down intotwo words like day and then
Sierra day or something.
Obviously I'm saying that wrong, but it literally means to cut
off.
So when you make a decision onlife, you have to cut off every
fucking option.
this is a decision I make.
I'm not going back no matterwhat.
Yet you're gonna have thoughtsin your head.
You're gonna have differentimpulses to do it, but you made

(01:54:54):
a decision, bro.
You can't, like you literally, you can't go back.
Number three, I would say, iscontinue to sh shift your
identity with it.
So you're clear.
You made a decision and now youhave to be like, I am a person
who like no matter what does thelower back workout, or I'm a
person who, no matter whatdoesn't drink like that really

(01:55:17):
helped me is I looked at myhighest self and I'm like,
helped me?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:55:22):
version of me does not drink.
And I knew that.
I knew that.
So do I wanna be this highestversion or do I, do I wanna be a
bullshit version?
Beta beta.
Or this guy, I wanna be afucking this guy.
So I made that decision.
And then I would say, numberfour is, create some sort of
system.
Create some, because at the endof the day, it's daily systems

(01:55:44):
that are gonna help you sustainthat habit over time.
So let's say for example, one ofyour habits you wanna do is to
work out a good daily systemcould be you put your workout
close every day by your door, make it super easy for you.
and that way it, it's easier tosustain the habit.
And Atomic Habits is a really, really good book that Yes, if

(01:56:05):
you check that out,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:56:06):
Yes, I've read it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (01:56:07):
I mean, that's basically what
allow what this is.
The only caveat I would say withAtomic Habits is emotion.
Like with the, with thedrinking.
This is what I help withclients, is like, you need to
get angry.
And this is, I would say this issimilar to Tony Robbins, you
know, Tony Robbins?
Mm-hmm.
this is what he does.
You have to get angry and make adecision.

(01:56:27):
That's where our power lies.
oh, I make a decision like this.
it's such a fucking, it'scutting you off from like your
life, which is your heart andyour, your soul and your energy.
So no man, get emotional

Microphone (Scarlett (01:56:39):
emotional.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:56:40):
I'm gonna stop drinking because this
is gonna fuck up my life, bro.
are you serious?
look yourself in the eye and belike, this can't happen anymore.
And then that emotion is, afucking big bang for everything
else.
um,
And the last thing I would say is
accountability.
say is

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:56:59):
Right?
So having your trainer for thelower back stuff texting you,
dude, like why didn't you showup today?
That's obviously another form.
That's what helps with clientsthat I work with they know we
have a session.
I have to go.
Obviously that's gonna make iteasier to, to work out.

Microphone (Scarlett (01:57:12):
obviously, he does that to me too.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:57:14):
He does.
He texts you and stuff.
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:57:16):
It's really annoying.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:57:17):
Do you think it's annoying No.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:57:20):
And you know what happens is I
usually get workouts in the day.
He texts me.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:57:23):
so

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:57:24):
It's a weird, he texted me this
morning, fuck, I don't want texthim back until I do one.
So I did it on my lunch break.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:57:29):
break.
Oh, good for you bro.
You know what you should do,dude,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:57:31):
tell me what I should do.
this is, this is a good way.
I'm gonna stop texting you.
sex.
You, you should, I don't know if I
pro Nah, I don't know if Ishould say it's like
inappropriate.
Say, say, say all.
Okay.
What you should do is like, whenever he texts you, dude,
just send him a dick
dick

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:57:52):
He'll stop texting you right away.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:57:55):
What if he likes it?
Then you're fucked.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:57:57):
Maybe he's gay.
Maybe he likes dick

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:58:00):
That'll be, dude, that'd be kind of
funny if he just startedsending, I'd have to google
picture

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:58:05):
of a vagina.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:58:06):
like a,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:58:07):
try this,
try this out for size.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:58:11):
size.
Huh?
He's pansexual.
He's still sending me Dr.
Emoti

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:58:14):
emoji.
He's pansexual,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:58:16):
send him a picture of some feet.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:58:19):
He

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:58:19):
Gotta find somebody.
If he likes to do

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (01:58:21):
There's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (01:58:22):
be something that turns the sky off
that dad licking his butt hole.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:58:28):
What
nice little eight second clip.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (01:58:30):
Perfect.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:58:31):
But

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:58:31):
that answer your question?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:58:32):
Yeah.
What if the trainer though, whatif he just pretended like he was
being turned on by everything?
Cuz he knew what I was doing.
He knew I was trying to get ridof him, and he was like, oh two
can play this game.
Send me anything.
Yeah.
Then he,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:58:47):
Then I then that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:58:48):
got a great trainer

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:58:49):
that Yes, that's what I was just
gonna say.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:58:51):
com He's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:58:51):
that's the best trainer ever where I'm
so committed to this, thisclient.
Yeah.
That you can send me a pictureof.
Literally any body

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:58:59):
You can sexually harass me and I'll
still work with you.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:59:01):
slow.
Yes.
Wow.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (01:59:07):
It's like, listen, man, like before
we get started, I wanna let youknow, you know, you could
sexually harass me.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:59:13):
All right.
There's one question that Icouldn't ask.
I can't let you leave withoutasking.
Time is flying by my friend

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (01:59:21):
friend

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (01:59:21):
and one of your posts.
You said that the first year ofsobriety was your most
challenging year.
Do you remember why?
Because I would almost think,and, and I'm, I'm making a huge
assumption.
The reason I'm asking thisquestion is I would think Oh, I
haven't drank in 10 days.
20 days.
While at the same time, you'resleeping better, you're feeling

(01:59:41):
better, while at the same timeyou're going to the gym while at
the same time your mom seesyou're sober and maybe you and
her are getting a relation, youlike your relationship is coming
back.
So from my ignorant perspective, when I read that post, I
thought, huh, that's weird.
I would've thought like this wasthe best year in his 26 years on
this planet.

(02:00:01):
But according to the post, itwas one of your hardest.
Why was that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:00:05):
Really good question, brother.
I appreciate that.
it was the hardest because whathappens is when I got sober, all
the stuff that I was drowningfrom, all the stuff that I was
using alcohol to avoid came tothe surface.

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (02:00:18):
alcohol.
So

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:00:18):
that first year was the most
self-development I've ever hadin my life.
You know, like feeling certainemotions, uh, facing my past,
facing traumas, releasingsadness, releasing anger, all
the things that I was avoidinggoing to parties and not feeling
just comfortable with my ownskin enough to talk to people.

(02:00:41):
That's why I was the hardestcause I had no escape.
I had no fucking escapewhatsoever.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:00:48):
escape.
What was the biggest epiphanyyou had about yourself during
that year?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:00:54):
I was fucked up.
That's probably one of thebiggest epiphanies.
But bro, like theself-development I had in the
past three years, like I feel,dude, it's.
It's incredible.
It really is.
Cuz I just I feel so, like I'mnot relying on anything.
Like I can go to a party andtalk to people.
I can, I am confident in myself.

(02:01:15):
I am like able to inspire andconnect with people and I don't
need alcohol.
That also, one of the biggestthings was dating.
I would literally, like alwayson a date I would drink and then
you know, maybe we would havesex or something, but like being
sober is I'm actually connectingwith this woman.
I'm respecting her.
And my first relationship soberwas like, I f honestly bro, I

(02:01:37):
felt like I was 16.
that ended six months ago or so.
But that relationship, like Ifelt love for her.
I respected her.
And I'm like, dude, I've neverexperienced that before.
Cause I was always drunk, dude.
Like in all relationships I wasfucked up doing stupid stuff.
So

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:01:53):
It's funny you bring that up.
We had a, we, I always say we,and I think

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:01:57):
dude, you have a team, you're a that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:01:58):
I'm thinking of bad.
Yeah.
My, my co-producer, we had a 15year old on the podcast killer
episode.
He crushed it and we weretalking about the fact that he
wanted to kiss this girl that hewas cuddling with and, uh, she
won it because he was drunk atthe time.
Mm.

(02:02:19):
Mm.
And I told him, I was like, you
should try to try to do thatagain.
Like try to recreate thatsituation sober, but do it
sober.
Yeah.
Because one, then she might letyou, but two, then you can just
do everything like naturally.
Yeah.
And you're, you're not relyingon any like a crutch of any
sort.
Definitely.
but I hope you listen man.

(02:02:39):
I hope he finds like thatcourage, cuz I think he did what
a lot of us do, which he waslooking for that liquid courage.
Mm-hmm.
and then it backfired on him.
Yeah.
Because she wouldn't let himnear her.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:02:47):
him.
She's a good, she's a good girl.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:02:49):
Yeah, I think so

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:02:50):
You know what I mean?
Like the fact I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:02:51):
that she won it.
Yeah.
Since he was drunk.
I thought that was funny.
Yeah.
And, and intuitive of her.

Microphone (Scarlett (02:02:56):
intuitive and she's young.
That's good.
Yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:02:58):
I mean she might not be young,
we're just

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:03:00):
too.
She's 30 two's,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:03:02):
but maybe

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:03:02):
she's 30.
Say, Hey, I know you're my mom'sfriend, but I'm 17.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:03:06):
or 17, whatever.
Her age suit, nothing illegal isbeing done.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:03:10):
met?
18.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:03:11):
18
18 or maybe seven.
Probably s 17.
Probably 18 at

Microphone (Scarlett 6 (02:03:15):
probably 15 as well.
All right,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:03:19):
right, let's move on, dude.
All right, move on.
no, but, dude, I think that'sreally important because, a big
thing for dudes is like thatrejection sensitivity, which I,
I had to get over as well is yougo to, you need to drink to
approach a girl, right?
Otherwise, you're, you're scaredof what's going to happen.
And I know society's kind ofweird now, and like that can,
that can be more a fear.

(02:03:41):
But, having the ability toapproach like you find a girl,
be.
In the middle of the day, havinga courage as a dude to go up and
talk to her is really importantbecause a lot of people aren't
drunk during the day.
So it's you know, going up andtalking to her is important
because it's like, if you don'tfeel like the skill to do that,
like you don't feel good as aman.
And maybe I'm just talkingpersonally, but like developing

(02:04:03):
that skill and I still getnervous.
Like if there's a pretty girl,like I'll get butterflies.
But that's what's great aboutit's life.
It's good

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:04:11):
Do you practice hitting on people?
It sounds funny, but I'm beingdead

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:04:15):
dead.
do I practice on hitting onpeople?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:04:17):
if you saw a woman that

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:04:19):
you I wouldn't word it as that, but
How else would you word it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:04:23):
I approach women, if I find them
interesting, looking at

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:04:26):
up.
So you practice hitting on

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:04:28):
on people.
I, I guess, yeah,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:04:30):
There's nothing wrong with it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:04:32):
Just like,
I'll say

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:04:33):
say it like hitting on is such a,
like a fucking, like a ninetiesterm dude.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:04:37):
what term would you use?
you practice such a ninetiesterm I can be sort of old school
sometimes.
How would you say it?
Would you practice dropping aline on

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:04:49):
it line.
Well, like the new, the drop it

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:04:51):
drop
drop it line.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:04:54):
Hey
Hey Coach can I drop a line?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:04:59):
He's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:04:59):
the fuck is this guy?
How would you say it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:05:03):
guy.
Well, dude, like, uh, the kidsnowadays say Riz, which I don't
really understand.
You never heard that before?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:05:08):
You practice Risen.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:05:10):
Risen, yeah.
I practice risen.

Microphone (Scarlett (02:05:11):
practice.
Is that how you would say it?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:05:13):
No.
Do I, again, I don't look at itlike that, but I guess you can
interpret it like that.
I, I practice like overcomingthe flinch.
So there's something that'scalled the Flinch, and it's a
book called The Flinch.
And that's the flinch.
there's somebody you wanna talkto, usually the opposite sex or
the same sex if you're, ifyou're homosexual, which is
totally fine.

(02:05:34):
So then there's the girl youwanna talk to, whatever, right?
So then we all experience thisas men.
It's oh, ah, but the mind's oh,but she's busy.
Or something like that.
And, it's important to just belike, no, couple deep breaths
and go for it.
And that could be with likewomen I find attractive on the
street.
It could be with, at anetworking event with a, someone
I want to talk to.
Mm-hmm.

(02:05:54):
It doesn't have to be with, withjust on the street, but it's
just that flinch.
I try to overcome every day.
And I do that with cold showers.
So I take a cold shower everymorning.
Mm-hmm.
the flinch you put the cold on,it's the same thing.
in, it's another muscle.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:06:12):
It's the flinch.
The

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:06:14):
Script.
Great book.
The Riz, I, I don't, that's likewhat Gen Z calls.
I'm gonna ask the kids

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:06:19):
that when I'm

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:06:19):
at the, that the 15 because

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:06:22):
during rush hour right after all the
high schoolers get out.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:06:24):
out.
Oh, perfect.
Me

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:06:25):
and all the teens.
It's, it's actually, there'ssome really good dudes that go
there.
I'm a gay dude, I'm a intodudes.
Oh,
Are you really?
And I think Wow.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:06:32):
didn't, for me, I didn't know that at
all.
That's awesome.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:06:34):
I, I will, the weird reason I word
it like that is because I feellike there is significantly less
gay men than there are straightwomen.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:06:46):
gain.
Yeah.
And half 90% of the time when Isee someone attractive, they are
probably gonna be straight.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:06:54):
be

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:06:54):
And I'm sorry, I've, I've always
been scared to approach guysbecause I never know

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:06:59):
that makes sense.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:06:59):
sense.
But at some point I realized, one, I wanna meet someone
organically.
I don't wanna meet someonethrough Grindr, Tinder, Bumble,
or Spotify.
Or Spotify.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:07:09):
I guess you could

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:07:10):
my FS mixed

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:07:11):
stuff.
you.
Yeah.
You have friends in.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:07:13):
but I realized it's, it goes back to
what we were saying about love, kindness, forgiveness.
If I wanna meet someoneorganically, but I'm never
putting myself out there Yeah.
Then I, I'm never gonna meetwhoever this future Mr.
David is.
So whenever I told myself, Idon't know, two years ago, if I
find a guy attractive, I'm justgonna start hitting on him and
whatever happens,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:07:33):
It's good for you.
For sometimes it's not even

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:07:34):
on him.
Um, we were at a restaurant acouple months ago, me and my
friend Sant, and there was a guythat we both found attractive
and she was like, he's gay, youshould hit on him.
And I said, absolutely not.
He's very, very straight.
And she's like, why do you thinkhe's straight?
And I said, because of the wayhe's dressed, because of his
tattoos, because of his hair,he's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:07:53):
Okay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:07:53):
And she is like, no, his pants are
too tight.
It's the way he walks.
It's the look in his eyes, he'sgay.
Oh, wow.
So then our, the look in hiseye,
his eyes,
the looking at his eyes again,
supposed to look guy, he eyeball

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:08:04):
penis, That would be pretty obvious,
Right.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:08:08):
Um, so our waitress came over I
asked her, I was like, Hey, doyou happen to know if homeboys
into guys or Dallas?
And she, she's like, I don'tknow, but I think he has a
girlfriend.
I heard him talking

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:08:20):
I

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:08:21):
like his bitch or something?

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:08:23):
His Twits His twits.
Yeah.
He has a totz.
Twits.
Um,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:08:28):
my friend gets up to use the
bathroom.
We tell the waitress We're done.
You know, could you please bringthe check

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:08:34):
a couple

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:08:34):
minutes later?
Um, I'm looking down at my phoneand hand, not a, a woman's hand.
A man's hand puts the check downon the table.
I look up at his hand, I'm like,Ugh.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:08:47):
the flinch

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:08:47):
Yeah, the flint, the flin.
Dude, you wanna talk to him?
And then

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:08:51):
he said the last thing I expected
him to say, he is like, so youthink I'm gay?
There's
No way, dude.
And I was like, she told him.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
She

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:08:59):
threw us under the bus.
But it worked out great cuz thenI got to talk to him and I said,
no, actually me and my friend,we, she thinks that you're gay
and I think you're straight, buteither way we both find you
attractive.
So we were just very curious.
Guy got the biggest smile on hisface and he is like, nah, I
like, I like women and I'm alsoin a relationship right now.

(02:09:20):
But anyways, just wanted to comeover and find out like why did
you think I was gay?
And I was like, I didn't think,I was like, no particular
reason.
I was hoping you were becauseyou're very handsome.
He smiled.
Some big smile on his face, hewalked away.
It was a great interaction.
Beautiful.
Why do I bring this all up?
I think to say one, in order toget over the flinch, you
eventually just have to dosomething about it.

Microphone (Scarlett (02:09:39):
something.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:09:39):
I, that's why I look at it like
let's just call what it is.
I'm practicing hitting on peopleso that when I get to the person
that where I, they reciprocate.
Yeah.
I'm not a nervous wreck ofenergy,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:09:50):
but I'm confident.
Exactly.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:09:52):
I got out what I wanted to say and
say it how I meant.
And at the end of the day too, man, I think depending on how
you go about it, you can makesomeone's day like that guy.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:10:00):
can a hundred percent, it just
depends on
how you word it.
And you can't just go up andslap

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:10:06):
their ass.
No.
Yeah.
can't do that.
No.
Like, dude, if you went into meand like, yo, dude, I think
you're an attractive guy.
Like, I would've respectfully belike, I'm not gay, but thank
you.
I think most nice guys would, would do that.
Like, no, unless a guy's likeuncomfortable with his sexuality
and might be gay, he'd be like,oh good.
You know what I mean?

(02:10:26):
Like be like, oh,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:10:29):
some guys are, a lot of
guys are so, and they're probably
uncomfortable, man.
Like I think you're exactlyright.
Speaking to everybody, alwaysgoing, approaching somebody.
If you're single, I think youshould always be talking to
people.
You should always be, you know, talking to whatever sex that you
find attractive.
A b r Always be what?
Always be raping

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:10:51):
No,
No.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:10:54):
What was the term you said?
People are using
Riz.
Oh, always be r

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:10:58):
always be risen.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:10:59):
You just make that up.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:11:00):
That sounds like something Jesus
would do.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:11:02):
Jesus always

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:11:02):
I always be rising.
There you go.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:11:06):
Always be Riz.
But yeah, man, it's, it's, uh, Ithink you should absolutely do
that, dude.
Super important.
Because again, when

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:11:15):
when
what

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:11:20):
you said that so nineties to say
Hitting on.
Hitting

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:11:24):
Hitting on, yeah.
hitting.
It's like, is she hitting on,that's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:11:26):
with a hard g

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:11:28):
Hitting hidden, hitting on, yeah.
I feel like that's like anineties term dropping lines
drop off.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:11:35):
Sounds like cocaine,
risen.
Yeah.
Dropping lines.
I always think of fishing whenyou're saying that.
Drop

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:11:39):
some lines?
Toots,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:11:41):
Hey Tots, you wanna drop some lines?
Let's

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:11:44):
tuts.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:11:45):
a word.
Dude, it's a great, it's a greatterm man.
1940s, 1950s.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:11:49):
Hey, tuts,

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:11:50):

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:11:57):
tots Hey Tots
Tuts dad.
You gonna start saying that tothe other dogs?
I think he's gay too.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:12:05):
Think that's gay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:12:06):
He humps everything.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:12:07):
hums.
I think a lot of dogs are likebisexual.
Cause my ex's dog was the sameway.
So you think that like nature, like most people are like
bisexual.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:12:16):
Here's why I actually made that comment
that he's gay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:12:20):
gay.
Is he hooked?
He has a boyfriend.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:12:21):
No, I adopted him and pretty quickly
after getting him, I took him tothe vet.
Seemed like a good idea.
Yeah.
And so they did the wholephysical and at one point she
got out the thermometer, is thatwhat you call it?
What's the thing?
You take temperatures with
the thing?
Thermometer?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB) (02:12:36):
I got out the thermometer.
She got out the thermometer

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:12:39):
Oh, I know what you're gonna say you
put up on but hole.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:12:41):
yeah.
She was like, you typically dogshate list, so can you like
comfort'em and hug them and pet'em?
And I said, sure.
So I leaned down on the ground,I'm petting him on his head.
I'm like, it's, it's gonna beokay.
Thad, she takes thatthermometer.
She fucking stuck that thing inthere and his tail just went.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i (02:12:56):
really, wow.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:12:58):
He loved it.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:12:59):
Might be gay.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 USB (02:13:00):
So you know why I did.
On the way home

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 US (02:13:02):
You brought him to like a, a gay
bar?
No, no, no.
I bought a bunch ofthermometers, and now
Now every night.

Every night, every night

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:13:12):

We take his temperature

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 U (02:13:15):
Come here, dad.
Don't come here.
Stay.
Stay over there.

Microphone (Scarlett 6i6 (02:13:18):
That's why he shuts all the time.
