Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the
Daynamics Show.
I'm Marianna, your host andguide on this empowering journey
, to remind you about the lifethat you were meant to live,
aligned with your dynamicwell-being every single day.
That's why the day in DaynamicsShow is capitalized.
(00:20):
It's a reminder that embracingyour ever-evolving, vibrant
nature is not just a momentarychoice but a daily commitment to
yourself.
So here on the dynamic show, webelieve that there's no
one-size-fits-all path to life.
You are here for a reason, andtogether we'll uncover what that
(00:41):
is.
Are you ready to step boldlyinto your new dynamic life?
Today we are doing anoff-the-cuff, but it's also
combined with a discussionrecording, because I do have a
guest here as well, and thatguest is Makoda.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Hi, Thanks for being
here.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Makoda, thank you for
having me.
We will be talking aboutgratitude dynamics.
So we spent a whole month ongratitude and we wanted to
ensure that we got a podcastthat is included in this month
of gratitude.
To ensure that we got a podcastthat is included in this month
of gratitude.
Just off the cuff, makota, before I get into who you are
(01:29):
and what you do and all thatstuff, what are you grateful for
right now?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I'm grateful for this
podcast and being able to spend
the time and do it and to talkabout gratitude.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Thank you.
I am too, because I think, themore you are grateful in your
life about everything, whichwe'll talk about in just a
little bit, it's because if youbelieve in the co-creation of
your life, then everything thatcomes into your life you've
(02:02):
co-created in some way.
So into your life, you'veco-created in some way.
So it's about being gratefulfor what you created and going
okay.
Well, I created this for somereason.
What is going on?
Do I need to get clear with myintentions?
Do I need to clean up my vibeabout something?
Is this showing me something?
Is this helping me move toinfinite possibilities?
(02:23):
Is this helping me grow aboutsomething?
What do you feel about thatthought?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
I think that's
exactly right.
If you know that you'reco-creating something, and even
us co-creating this podcast, youknow we're here for a reason to
talk about it and to make itknowledgeable to everyone else.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Right and to just
maybe people just might need a
reminder that go to gratitude, even when life seems like you
don't want to be grateful foranything, because things aren't
flowing right, they're notfeeling 100%, and that could be
momentarily things, or thatcould be days or months of
(03:01):
something that you're goingthrough or something that
happened.
But if you can find thegratitude in that or gratitude
about something else, then thatreally can shift your energy
around what is happening in yourwhole life.
So why this subject?
(03:23):
Why would we want to talk aboutgratitude, makota?
Speaker 2 (03:27):
well, there's a bunch
of different reasons.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I mean, it's a
weekend for us and that's the
best time to spend with family,I think, and being grateful for
the time that you can spend withfamily yes, being grateful for
time with family, anytime youcan be with friends, family, or
even just, if you don't have alot of close family and or
(03:50):
friends, necessarily just beinggrateful for what you're around,
whether that's nature, whetherthat's watching a great movie,
whether that's talking tosomeone on the phone or on the
computer.
I mean, there's so many thingsto be grateful for.
So if you haven't heard apodcast from us, let us
introduce myself, mariana, andour guest Makoda.
(04:17):
Makoda has been with usthroughout the whole time,
started with Kid Dynamics intoDynamic Series.
She's been a youth advisor.
She was a help with thecreation.
She helped with the creation ofthe program of Kid Dynamics,
not only being as a participantbut also being a junior
(04:41):
facilitator, and then, like Isaid, went to advisor and
creator for us and now she doessome social media stuff for us
creation of some of our socialmedia posts too right grateful
for you, makota thank youyeah, we wrote actually before
(05:03):
we.
Let's just set the tone, whichwe already did a little bit by
just being what are you gratefulfor?
We ask you to just like, fullybe here with us, focus your
attention on the here and nowand listen with an open heart
and mind.
It may sound a little bitdifferent because we are
recording in a different areaand you may still hear we have
(05:27):
chickens.
So once in a while you may heara rooster roosting in the
background and I know if you'velistened to any of our stuff,
you understand that you haveheard the rooster before.
Once in a while he just wantsto chime in to go hey, here,
here I am, and then bring myattention right to this moment
(05:48):
again.
So there's a question to ourlisteners Given the title of the
show Gratitude Dynamics can yourelate with being grateful?
I mean, have you ever foundyourself wondering what do I
need to be grateful for or howdo I be grateful Like, how does
(06:08):
grateful feel and are youwilling to be grateful for the
little things in your life, notjust the big things that you've
been wanting to unfold ormanifest or bring into your life
?
Unfold or manifest or bringinto your life, but can you be
grateful for the little eenybeeny things like power in your
(06:32):
house and, makota, we can talkabout not having power correct.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yes, it's happened
quite a few times.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
We're in a present
area that has spring and fall
slash winter storms, so we tendto get a lot of thunderstorms,
lightning.
We are also around a nationalforest, so we have in our yard
many tall trees, yard many talltrees, and in that whole area
(07:09):
where the electric companyservices we also have tons of
big trees, and so what happenssometimes if lightning strikes?
I lose power yeah, but not onlythat the lightning because if
you've listened to our podcastbefore, we've got hit by
lightning, by our chicken coopand beside us, and if you
haven't heard that podcast, weinvite you to go back and listen
(07:31):
to that, because we are verygrateful at the end that it only
affected a little bit big treesby the lake, all that stuff.
So we're just happy that again.
We bought a generator, yeah, and that certainly helps because
we have humid summers and wehave not super cold winters.
(07:55):
But we are so grateful for thegenerator because we know that
when we don't have electricity,at least we have the stove will
still work, the fridge willstill work, some lights will
still work, and we're gratefulfor that.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Very grateful.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yes.
So, makota, we asked you a fewquestions and again, welcome to
the show.
Thanks for being here.
What, off the top of your head?
Five things that you want to begrateful or not want to be, but
are grateful for.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Well, I would say one
of the things would be my job.
I'm very grateful that, after ayear of graduating, that I was
able to find a really good jobthat has good benefits and that
I'm able to learn for.
Number two would be my familyand being able to see them go on
trips to actually to spend timewith them.
Number three would be theanimals and being able to see
them go on trips to actually tospend time with them.
Number three would be theanimals in our house.
(08:49):
Even though sometimes they canbe quite loud, they're always
there for us and always provideus with some joy.
Number four would be my friendsand being able to have times
with them as many times as Iwant.
And number five would be myselfand being grateful for the fact
that I'm here and I'm learningthings and evolving every day.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Perfect Thank you,
because you know what it is a
little things to be grateful for, and we mentioned that we had
done a blog on it.
Now the blog points are there'sso many of them that you don't
even understand sometimes likeeven the little things, and I'm
(09:32):
just going to like say a few ofthem and see if you're on the
same wavelength as us as far asbeing grateful.
Now, being grateful, you canjust say thank you for something
or you can actually be likeappreciation.
I think great gratitude andappreciation are the same family
, but two different things.
(09:53):
Like you can say thank you andbe grateful for something, but
you can really appreciate that.
I think the appreciation goesmore to the feeling side of
stuff, where you tend to stay incomplete appreciation of
something, where someone canjust do something for you and
then you say thank you, right, same family.
(10:14):
One just lingers more and hasagain to me, have more of a
feeling.
So here's a few your breath andthe ability to breathe.
Now you think of some peopleneed help with that being able
to see all the beauty in thisworld.
Wherever you're listening tothis at, look around or go
(10:36):
outside or go wherever you, justwherever you are and just see
the beauty in this world Becauseit's there the ability to hear
so many sounds.
Some people can't or have amuffled or whatever it might be
in their situation, but beinggrateful that you can hear so
(10:57):
many sounds, the way your bodyworks Now, regardless of what's
happening in your body, whetherit's healthy or whether you're
going through something, it'sstill working on some capacity
for you and so just beinggrateful for that, all the cells
(11:18):
in your body know what to dothe sun coming up every day, the
moon cycles, the differentweather that balances out this
earth, nature and all thatentails.
The planets, the oceans, electricity that we already
talked about, the photos andpictures you have, heat and air
conditioning, family expression,creativity, food, music,
(11:42):
feeling of love, videos, health, exploring your career, your
best friend's art, peace, meditations, home bed, a fan at
night you know again, you'regetting the gist.
I can go on and on about this.
It's the little things thatwhen you plug in, you have the
(12:05):
electricity to maybe have yourmorning coffee or tea.
That's something to be gratefulfor.
There are people in this worldstill that do not have
electricity and we take it forgranted a lot, and we know what
that's like when your power doesgo out, or you can't, or
there's a storm that's gonethrough or something that's
happened in your world that youdon't have electricity for, but
(12:29):
you really do appreciate it whenit comes back.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Very much so.
So what do you feel about someof those Makota?
What do you feel about beinggrateful for those little things
, some unseen and some seen?
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Well, I think that's
the best things to be grateful
for.
I mean, it's easy to begrateful for big things, like
you know having a birthday party, or being able to spend time
with your family at Christmasmaybe things that are more
common or not but being able tojust be happy that you can put a
certain color of nail polish onthat you really like, or that
you get to have your favoritefood, or that maybe that thing
(13:08):
that you bit into when you'reeating it actually tasted good
and it wasn't horrible.
It's just those little momentsof oh, that was awesome and that
make your brain go all happyand that you get happy for and
you can say thank you for yes.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
So this is just a
reminder for everyone right now
too, is to learn to say thankyou again and if you say thank
you, thank you, thank you threetimes, like there's just there
has always been just more of anenergy of saying something three
times Thank you, thank you.
Thank you, or I appreciate you,I appreciate what you've done,
(13:44):
or I appreciate who you are, orsomething like that Appreciate
three things in a row.
Appreciate who you are, orsomething like that Appreciate
three things in a row.
You know, do it whatever.
If you can do one, that's evenbetter, but if you can do 10,
that's even greater.
But I usually stick with thethree cycle.
What do you think about that?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
The three cycle yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
How do you want to go
through life?
Do you want to go through lifegrateful and looking for things
and appreciating things that isalready right in front of you
right now, or that you'reco-creating and manifesting for
yourself?
Or do you want to look and gothrough life?
(14:27):
I don't know what's the wordUnhappy, unhappy, not feeling
good.
I don't know what's the wordUnhappy, unhappy, not feeling
good, not appreciating andactually truly being grateful
for what you do have.
Yeah, it's just the littlethings that you've got to be
thankful for and the things thatyou're able to do, because
you're thankful Right, and theability that you can talk, like
I said, and hear and see andwalk and move your body and go
(14:50):
places and like all these littlethings.
We have that morning andevening practices and it's a
blog and a podcast that you canlisten to dynamics seriescom
Sorry, dynamics seriescom andyou can look it up.
Actually, a lot of our blogsand podcasts are really about
empowering you to live thedynamic life that you want to
(15:13):
live by design.
By design means co-creating.
You're designing how you wantit to be, you have intentions
set forward for it and gratitudewill always help you, because
gratitude always takes you tothat place of feeling good and
when you feel good, the universewill bring more things for you
(15:34):
to feel good about, right,exactly.
So listeners rate this moment.
Take a moment, even if you haveto stop this podcast and go,
like we did with Makota, namefive things that you are truly
grateful for and, if you want todo the appreciation side of it,
(15:58):
not only be thankful for it,but why are you thankful for it?
How does it feel?
You know, really be inappreciation with it, those
things that you are grateful for.
So the who, what, when, where, why of it, and then the feeling
part of it, and then that againwill make you feel better and
(16:21):
then tell the universe yeah, that's what she likes.
So let's give her more thingsto be grateful for Pretty simple
law of attraction.
Stuff here now we've donevehicle videos, like I said,
blogs, podcasts and all thatstuff about being grateful, and
(16:45):
there's lots of things going onin this world, do you agree?
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Especially at this
given time that we're doing this
recording.
But there'll always be thingsgoing on in this world and
that's a thing that you'llalways have.
The unknown in this world.
You'll always have things Idon't know.
Can you still be grateful forthe things that don't feel good?
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Yeah, because then it
shows you what you don't want
and that you can choose to doother things and to be better.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
Yeah, and to focus on
, like Makota brought up, a good
point is, when you know whatyou don't want, you absolutely
know what you do want.
So, instead of staying in thatside of I don't know what I want
and I'm not grateful for thisand I don't like what's going on
and that, going down the rabbithole of negativity and not feel
(17:38):
good, can you stop yourself andjust go?
Hey, I've just been shown, I'veco-created a bit of this on
some level.
It's in my life.
I don't prefer it.
What do I prefer now?
What do I prefer that I can begrateful for?
That I can have on my list ofthings that I can be grateful
(18:02):
for Every day.
It's an everyday thing, you know, if you don't do it, if you do
it twice a week, or three times,or when you're having a shower,
when you're drinking yourmorning hot drink, whatever cold
drink, whatever that might be,when you're driving somewhere,
you know, instead of havingmusic blasting, which you could
have, or a cold drink, whateverthat might be, when you're
driving somewhere, you know, instead of having music blasting
, which you could have, or apodcast going, which you can
(18:23):
have, of course, but just takingthat moment, I did it the other
day I was driving and I justshut everything off and I was
just driving and I was like Ijust looked around and I go,
what am I grateful for?
So that's our challenge to youis just take that moment and go.
(18:44):
What are you grateful for?
For me, it was the fact that Ihad a vehicle to drive, that I
had a full tank of gas at thatpoint, that there was like nice
nature around me, that theweather was good, that everyone
was being like safe driversaround me as I co-created myself
(19:06):
to get from my point A to mypoint B and then home again.
The very fact that I could hearthe sounds, that I could see
the colors that were all aroundme.
That are you guys getting thegist of this.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Yeah, I am.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
You know you can take
that time instead of whatever
you do.
This is just one example.
You know where to go, what todo.
You know there's your top 10feel-good things.
You can take that and begrateful for it.
You can use that as a gratitudeor appreciation thing.
You can use that as a gratitudeor appreciation thing, which,
(19:43):
again, we have done through ourpodcast and through our blogs
dynamicsseriescom Did I mentionthat yet, yes.
So that's a challenge that wewant to send out to you guys is
just to take a moment, if youcan, even if you have to put it
in your watch or your phone andhave an alert.
The question is what are you, what am I grateful for right now
?
Find a way to bring gratitudeinto your life.
(20:08):
It's a very simple conceptYou're here in this world, being
here, that's something to begrateful for right there.
I think so too.
How are you going to remindyourself every day to be
grateful?
How are you going to?
Is it a sticky?
(20:32):
Is it a put an alert on yourphone, on your watch?
Is it going to be somethingthat you're going to have near
your computer?
Is it going to be something, because you're a teacher, that
you have on the board you dowith your students?
You know, what can I begrateful Like?
What is it that you?
How are you going to remindyourself to have that gratitude
practice every day?
Speaker 2 (20:47):
That's a really good
question, because there can be
so many different ways.
I think, at the very least, whenever I know that I'm smiling
or something or that I feelgood about something, that I
should take a moment to saythank you and to be grateful for
that thing because of myreaction to it, and sometimes
it's not always going to be theeasiest thing to do so.
If there's days where thatdoesn't happen, I think just
(21:08):
taking a few moments at the endof every day before I go to
sleep, and recounting my daysand all the things that happened
during that day and beingthankful that I'm still here,
that I'm all right and that Ican have a good sleep that night
, knowing that.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yeah, that's a good
point.
And to know that, like we saidin the beginning, okay, that's
the end of the day.
I co-created this day.
If I don't prefer things thathappen, then I will be more
intentional tomorrow.
Yeah, and to start off likewhen I wake up in the morning,
the first thing I say is thankyou, thank you, thank you.
(21:44):
When I have more time, I go intomeditation, I do yoga, I do
stretching.
We have animals in the house,so sometimes I have to do that
later, not first thing, but Ican still say thank you, thank
you, thank you.
I still usually go to thewashroom, restroom, whatever
people call it.
When I first wake up.
I can have those moments whereI can say thank you, thank you,
(22:06):
thank you.
What do I want to appreciate, universe?
Show me what I can appreciatetoday in my life.
Show me, along with the thingsthat I have taken for granted.
You know that I actually have aplace to go to the washroom.
You know.
So, again, you know theselittle things that we take for
granted that we can spend morethan enough time being grateful
(22:31):
for.
I remember going out and youknow, looking at the trees in
our yard and going.
You're a beautiful tree, looking at the trees in our yard
and going you're a beautifultree, I'm so grateful the tree,
we have some fruit trees and goto the garden that we plant.
I'm so grateful that you'regoing to produce food for us in
all these little things that youcan do.
(22:51):
Yes, exactly.
So to end up our show, I wantyou to ask yourself what
resonated with you the most intoday's episode.
So did you find that reason whyyou're here and that you've
listened so far?
And again, we challenge you totake the action, not only from
(23:15):
the challenge that we put out insome of the Dynatools that
we've shared, but share thisepisode with someone right now,
or dive into any of the otherpast recordings and keep the
discussion going Again.
Remember what you focus on willexpand.
That's either good stuff ornot-so-good-feeling stuff, so
(23:37):
it's whatever you put yourattention on will expand.
Gratitude may be something thatyou want to have in your
wheelhouse of things that areimportant to you every day, and
again we spoke about some of thethings in your life don't feel
(23:58):
good, but you can still findgratitude in it because you've
made that preference and, likeMakota said, you know what you
don't want anymore, and so youcan now focus on what you do
want instead.
Life is a journey, it's dynamic, it's yeah, there's so much
(24:18):
more compelling content ahead.
So visit day in amic show, dotinfo or, like we mentioned,
dynamic series, dot com, ourmultimedia, and then podcasts,
to explore what catches yourattention.
And don't forget to dive deeperinto what it truly means to be
a dynamic person and live adynamic life.
(24:39):
Makota, we do have to say, asalways, thank you, thank you,
thank you for being part of thispodcast and any last words that
you would like to say aroundgratitude, dynamics.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Well, I'm grateful
that you wanted me to do this
with you and that we were ableto do it right there.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
So simple to our
listeners being grateful for
even an invitation to dosomething, whether or not you
can do it or not, but the factthat someone wanted you to be a
part of it or you want someoneelse to be a part of something
Just little little things.
And if you have an issue withnot having the ability to find
(25:24):
something to be grateful for, please go read our blog.
There's the one blog that wehad about gratitude dynamics and
then recommendations.
Under that just says that listthat I shared some with you to
be grateful for A quick reminderthat all materials shared are
copyrighted and intended forinformational purposes only.
(25:47):
So until we meet again, thankyou, thank you, thank you for
tuning in to this dynamic showand remember to make it a
dynamic day.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Make it a dynamic day
.
