Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to our Day
Nammix show, where we offerresources to remind you to align
with your own well-being everyday.
I'm Marianna and I am sograteful that you have tuned in.
Our show today is an unscripted, impromptu, unpredictable

(00:24):
off-the-cuff recording titledFinding your Balance in Life Now
.
This will make you become moremindful of the topic of balance
in general, and I think thatbalance is a good thing.

(00:47):
Sometimes, I know we all gofrom one extreme to the other,
and that's okay, but sometimesjust having the balance is great
.
So question for our listenershave you, or do you more so,
have balance?
You may have balance in somethings and not others, but do

(01:10):
you feel like you have balanceoverall in your life?
Now?
The answer again to that may beyeah, I've balanced in this,
but I'm not feeling balanced inthat or in this part of my life.
I feel great balance, but Idon't in others.
This, I don't want to havebalance, but in this I do.
So that answer could be verydifferent.

(01:33):
But how would you answer that?
Do you have balance in yourlife Now?
Sometimes we do find that we goto the dictionary just to, and
not even just one dictionary, like there's the paper
dictionary and the differentversions of the online

(01:55):
dictionary and then whetheryou're using it as the word, as
a noun or a pronoun or anadjective, or however you're
using that word.
But when we did go to the wordbalance online, it just

(02:15):
mentioned the mental steadinessor emotional stability, a habit
of calm behavior.
Now, although it's not the fulldefinition, it does serve sort
of what we're gonna be chattingabout today now, if anything, we

(02:36):
just find that going to findsort of the root definition of
how, in general, society isusing a certain word.
But then we all have our ownperceptions as well as to how
we're using a certain word inour life and sometimes even the
clarity of a definition goes wow, I've been using that word,

(02:59):
maybe in the wrong context orthe wrong way or the just not
what it really means, but whatI've just been taught that it
means.
So again, just do your research, do your your own education as
to what balance means and whatactually you want it to mean for

(03:24):
you that serves for you.
You will hear the word whatserves you a lot in our verbiage
, because really we're onlyoffering resources.
There's not just one way to doanything, and there's not.
If someone just says, yeah, this is the only way.
No, really, it's not that onlyway.
It's maybe the best way in thebest way for who?

(03:46):
For the person that's teachingit to you, that created it, or
what is your take on it isreally the important thing.
What do you feel good about thedefinition of balance and
anything else really in yourlife?
So let's sort of move on to thethings that you may have found

(04:09):
that Get you out of balance.
So there's a whole bunch offactors that can disrupt your
equilibrium.
That could be from internalthoughts or interactions with
others, or externalcircumstances or communications,
or what you're reading or whatyou're watching on TV or what

(04:32):
you're hearing, and, and theycertainly can trigger you.
And when you're triggered, thenyou know what that feels like
for a lot of you.
You might call it somethingdifferent, but you know what
being triggered is.
It just means that you are nownot in your calm, you're not in
your balance, you're not in yourright emotional frame of mind.

(04:54):
You are just not feeling yourwell-being in general.
So sometimes May not be able tounderstand, like, how to handle
a situation that throws you offof your balance, and In such
moments, you know it's justessential to question what

(05:16):
purpose maybe this imbalance isserving.
Maybe in the moment, like whenyou're in an interaction and
your balance is like and youwant to react instead of just
Stopping for a second and reallylike where's my balance in this
, before just responding tosomething that could be Verbally
in front of someone or throughan email, or through whatever

(05:38):
you're writing or whatever itmight be.
You know the circumstance.
It's just like how Is thisquestion and what's the purpose
of the imbalance and what it'sserving?
So maybe that means what it'sserving is that you're not fully
aligned with being in balanceabout a certain subject and even

(06:00):
if you are Uncertain about thebalance and you're out of
balance right now, like deepdown You'll likely know that
your desire is to feel good.
Your desire is to not only findease but to be ease and to
Regain that stability Amongstthe contrast, amongst the

(06:21):
turmoil, amongst thecircumstance, that sort of.
I mean you know what gets youout of balance.
I think we all know what gets usout of balance.
One of the things that gets meout of balance is noise and if
anyone can relate, it's like thenoise.
It could be anything from myhusband snoring to my, my cats,

(06:46):
my cat meowing to my dogsbarking, to just peripheral
noise, to something being tooloud.
Now, that's a little bit of mystuff and that gets me out of
balance because what it does isit?
Because it's Either consistentor it's loud.
It gets my attention and whatyou focus on will expand.
They always say, like, whereyour attention goes, the energy

(07:10):
flows, the attention, and thenit becomes a little bit
disruptive to me and I need tobe the fixer and try to fix it
right away or Do something, because I know that it's sort of
great on me.
So you know what you're Gettingout of balance thing, the
things that might do that foryou might be just a quick
conversation with someone.

(07:30):
It could be a person, it couldbe a family member, it could be
a circumstances, an event.
You know what it is that getsyou out of balance and you know
what you want to have.
I'm sure most of the time somepeople do like the drama and
like staying at a balance, andBecause there's that, you know
those big highs and a little, and then the lows, and then the
high and lows and drown andeverything's a drama, and if

(07:53):
that serves them and that's whatworks for them to make their
life more exciting and balancedthan great.
No one's here to judge.
Just choices along the way sounbalanced To a balance really
does always start from within.
No matter what we say, you'redoing, any of your recordings,

(08:16):
it always starts from within, because no one can think your
thoughts, knowing, can Say yourverbiage, no one really truly
knows how you feel I mean theycan relate to all of this stuff
but you have this unique withinguidance and this unique within

(08:37):
your life that you know whatworks for you and what doesn't
work for you.
Sometimes you might not be ableto change your circumstance
right away, but you can findyour balance and it usually is
one thought at a time, likewe've recorded before and and
blogged around.
You know a mantra or a sayingor an affirmative knowing.

(09:02):
You know whatever that sayingor whatever that word or
whatever it is that makes youstop in that moment and just go.
Hey, I haven't.
You know, I'm conscious aboutthis now, I'm aware of this now
and I can change it right inthis moment, because the present
moment is always where you havethe most power.

(09:23):
It's actually funny because it'san off the cuff recording and
then I told you about noise andall of a sudden, the air
conditioning pops on.
So I ended up stopping therecording just for a few minutes
while it went through its cycle, which I appreciate, the air
conditioning being on andkeeping us cool.

(09:45):
But it's, it's funny how thelaw of attraction works.
What you focus on, you know, will grow, what your attention
where your attention is, yourenergy will flow.
And all those sayings I justmanifested a rate in the middle
of this recording that goes toshow what you're focused on will
manifest, even if it's annoyingto you and get you out of your

(10:06):
balance.
So back into the balance.
It's use as an example.
It's like how can I tell a newstory around the air
conditioning?
Well, I started to initially.
It's just like it got me out ofbalance because I'm in the
middle of this recording, wanting to finish it and, you

(10:27):
know, trusting that it wouldn'tcome on.
But it did and then it was.
It's again.
It's that noise.
Not only does it affect therecording, but it also it is so
loud where I am recording that Ihave to stop whatever I'm doing
.
So what I ended up saying is Ijust stopped at the recording, I

(10:48):
didn't continue to do it.
I just stopped and went okay, allow us to go through its cycle
, that of going and turning theheat up, you know, or turning up
the thermostat for it to shutoff.
Just let it go through itscycle.
And I would just like to havequiet.
I would like to be able to getthrough this.

(11:08):
That's my new story.
That it's.
It is, in fact, helping thehouse stay cool and telling that
new story.
So then I could just like takemy deep breaths, do some calming
and just go.
Okay, let's find the balance inthis again.
Perfect example, perfectexample.
But what I did come out of thatis I can't change it.

(11:34):
You know, an air conditioningwants to go through its cycle.
It's going to go through itscycle.
It's on its own path, andthat's the same for people.
You can't change anyone elseeither, but what you can change
is finding your balance in anycircumstance.
Respect what, whether it's aperson or a thing or whatever,
it's just doing its cycle.

(11:57):
I had to be very aware, though,in the moment, and aware
thinking can take some time toget used to, because sometimes
it is used to thinking a certainway or expecting certain
results, or having certainpatterns running.
And again, it's just a habit, you know so my habit would just

(12:17):
get a mad, you know mad that theair conditioning came on while
I'm doing this recording.
So you know, funny is as smallas that.
But giving that, that gets meout of my balance.
And again, you know what getsyou out of your balance and how
is it that you can be balancedagain within it.
The aware thinking means thatyou can understand this

(12:39):
imbalances in your life and thatyou know what do you want to do
about it.
You know it's an opportunityreally to find a way in which
you can find the balance in itand be more of you in your
dynamic self within it.
Focusing on what is does notalways help you or anyone else

(13:01):
involved get to that balance, unless it's something that is
balancing you goes both ways andit's okay to embrace the idea
that being out of balance isokay.
You know it's just.
You have the strength and thenavigate to go through both

(13:23):
balanced and unbalanced times inyour life phases, times,
situations, experiences andthat's okay because everything
is in motion, it's transient andit will pass.
This to shall pass If you'restaying resilient and knowing
what your intention is aboutsomething and just trusting your

(13:45):
intuition to guide you towardswhat feels right for you, then
then you know what your balanceis and how to make that balance,
and that could change over time, that could evolve over time.
Let's now talk about what canyou do right now to feel more in
balance, like it's a take hometool for us, we call it, and

(14:07):
choosing to focus on balance.
And because we say choosing, because everything is a choice
on some level, whether you'reconscious of it or not, you're
choosing something, choosingbalance and wanting to feel good
within whatever the balance is,then that's a good first start.
So, choosing that, intendingthat, prepaving that, making it

(14:32):
a priority for balance when youwake up or throughout your day,
all these little things willhelp you get and stay in the
balance that you want.
We often take like the minimental vacations as well, like
we just escape from theunbalanced.

(14:52):
Like whether we go for a oneminute meditation or some
breathing exercises, or like awalk in nature, stopping to go
pet your pet, whether it isabout listening to some good
music, whatever it is.
We just take these littlemental mini vacations to bring

(15:13):
the balance back in and againyou will know what that is for
you has.
Everyone finds balance indifferent ways and no one again
can tell you what is right foryou.
You will know what is right, but if you don't know what your
balance is, just consider whatmakes you feel good at any given

(15:34):
time, like I know parts of myfamily and what their balance is
like.
I know my brother's balance isabsolutely music and I know my
sister's balance is being aroundher grandkids.
That's just one.
I mean many things obviously, but you know that just brings
them absolutely like joy in themoment and the balance that they

(15:58):
need.
And the balance for me it seemslike I can find many of them.
I can go out for a walk innature.
I can listen to some music thatI'm in the mood for at that
time.
I can do a recording like this.
This will help me find mybalance more, because I'm not.
I'm getting out what I'm goingthrough and over time that we've

(16:21):
been doing this, we'reunderstanding that other people
do find value and relate, andthank you for all of those that
send support and what you'd likeus to do next and stuff.
So please do that if youhaven't already, and that can
really resonate that you feellike you're not alone, that
there is someone else goingthrough this, and so that's one
of the reasons, too, is why weoffer these resources is that

(16:44):
for you to know that you are notalone, that there are others
that may feel or think or be ordo or whatever what you're going
through in this moment, andthat it is okay.
The other thing that I do is Igo like we've spoke about
previously in this recording isI go to a knowing affirmation,

(17:06):
statement or a mantra, and it isso important that your
self-talk and your own thoughtsreflect what you're wanting to
bring more of in your life, likethe mantras, like the knowing
affirmations, like theaffirmative statements, like
whatever that is, that you canstop, like stop imbalance and go

(17:29):
to balance Things like even astatement such as I choose to
find my balance in thissituation.
I'm open to finding my balance,or I be balanced, or I am
willing to change my imbalanceto balance.
I mean, that is a mantra, something you say over and over.
That go to statement.
That turns things aroundquickly, that brings your

(17:51):
awareness, brings it to theconsciousness right now.
So the present moment of whereyou know where your power is and
sometimes saying I am somethingdoesn't always feel right in
the moment, like saying I ambalanced when you don't feel
balance is not help you at all.
But when you are willing tochange your imbalance, to feel

(18:13):
balance, you are open to findingways to be more balanced than
that always work better.
So I, just as we're closing uphere, my final thoughts on these
is just find whatever works foryour balance, whatever balance
means to you.
Again, we've given you take hometools, we've given you the

(18:34):
definition, we've given youexamples here, and there has to
be a way in which you can findyour balance, and sometimes
there are gifts of beingunbalanced, because it'll really
help you understand what youwant instead and what else is
possible for you in a certainsituation or circumstance or an

(18:58):
event.
So just finding balance overallis what I would invite you to
find if you're not feeling goodabout something.
Thank you, thank you, thank youfor listening.

whatever way you find thatother people will find value and
