Episode 70 - Philip Seymour Hoffman: The Actor's Struggle

Few actors are as fun to watch as Philip Seymour Hoffman. He could play anything and go anywhere: Comedy - Drama - Arthouse - Blockbuster. A true actor's actor with rare mass appeal. Over the course of his career, he gave us an amazing array of unforgettable characters. From the vulnerable to the charismatic to the downright disturbed. 

Unfortunately, Hoffman’s remarkable life and career would come to an abrupt end on Superbowl Sunday 2014 due to drug intoxication. Few people knew the extent of his inner struggles and, by the end, he was too far gone to be saved. The same intensity that made him a great actor, also fed his demons as an addict. 

In this episode, the guys pore over his impressive filmography, from The Big Lebowski to 25th Hour. They're big fans -- but then again, who isn't?  They also discuss the inner turmoil that boiled beneath the surface and detail what went down in his lonely, final days.
