It's. Hey, everybody. Wilson Bautista here with the DevSEC lead podcast. It's honestly
been a while and you know, COVID reallydid a number for me and my business and you
know, it's, it's interesting because it really helpedget me to focus on what has been going on and put
(00:24):
some project priorities in place. And unfortunatelyfor everybody that's been listening to this podcast for a while, dev SEC Lead
had to take a little break because this is more ofa passion of mine rather than a revenue generating
activity. And when people don'thave a lot of money or you're starting your entrepreneurial
(00:51):
journey just like me, you need to make sure thatthose income streams are flowing.
And for the past two, three years,I've gotten to a place where I feel comfortable that we could start this
off again. And talking about witheverything that's changed since the Pandemic, I know that my
(01:12):
thoughts and my actionsin regards to leadership has changed, especially with adding
new people to my business team in different facets, but also in the world of security. With the world moving
from mostly on premisework to remote work now to hybrid work, it's been
(01:35):
a challenge for lots of people. So this season Iam looking forward towards understanding
the different mindsets that managers have, not justfrom an information security standpoint, but also just
regular managers have towards thehybrid workplace and looking forward to
(01:57):
having those conversations to help us learnto be better leaders. So what's new with me started
out with June Cyber. We have the Cyber Ohanaproject that's going to help veterans and military spouses
find careers in cybersecurity. So we'vebeen doing that now for two to three years.
(02:22):
We've been growing a lot forboth the initiatives and we're making lots
of headway for June Cyber.
We've moved from just security complianceto regular It managed services and now we're
doing automation and a lot of great things.
(02:45):
So lots of learning has been happening in my world.
And as far as the DevSec Lead podcast,I am looking forward to having great discussions with lots
of different people. We have a greatlineup of preliminary folks that have
done some great things within the industry itself.
(03:05):
We're going to go with some conversationsregarding some people that have radio frequency
experience and how we protect our electronicsthrough super faraday cages, but on a
consumer level based product. Going to talk to somebody aboutautomated penetration testing and what that's all about and
(03:31):
what's the ramifications for those that are doing penetration now.
We're also going to be able to talk to a couple of buddiesof mine that do a lot of splunk work. So those
are at least the first three that I have coming up. And I have anotherperson that's going to be talking about self branding.
(03:51):
So if you don't think that's important, that's going to be really importantas you progress in your career or if
you're just wanting to get betterin improving yourself.
Anyways, again, just getting ready forsome more episodes to drop here in the next few weeks.
(04:14):
It'll be raw, it's not going to be perfect, but it'll be fun.
