We have a five star review.
Really just help with the rankings.
Let me know how I'm doing.
But this week we're gonna be talkingabout, oh, China being mad at TSMC and why
it matters a little bit more about gaming.
(00:22):
Were you talking about.
Fable being delayed until 2026.
Talking about the Warner BrothersCLO studio closures and what that
actually matters to the games.
Also metal gear, solid DeltaPC requirements eight bit dues.
New Ultimate two controller.
(00:43):
Talk a little bit about that and the mainthing I'm gonna be talking about is well.
A MD finally released its informationon the 90 70 and 90 70 xt.
We talking a little bit more aboutthat, but let's get on with the show.
(01:11):
Mm, that's good.
So China well is not happy with Taiwan.
(01:32):
It's China thinks Taiwan is givingaway its semiconductor bus industry
to the us, China, or China views TSMCas a souvenir used by Taiwan . To
secure political support, especiallyfrom the US administration.
TSMC has significant increasedinvestments in the United States,
(01:53):
advanced chip manufacturing, includingthe four nanometer and the future
two nanometer processes being movedto the us, particularly in Arizona.
TSMC might evolve into the UnitedStates Semiconductor manufacturing
code according to Chinese claims.
TSMC is caught between US tariffthreats and Chinese criticism.
The Trump administration support hasinfluenced TSMC to align more with
(02:17):
the us a back production facilityin the us insurers reliance if
resilience, I should say if Taiwanand Chinese relations worsens US.
Influence and strategic plans.
ESMC aims to align with US semiconductorgoals concerning US regulations.
(02:38):
The.
Company is restricting chiporders below 16 OME from China
to comply with these regulations.
The US proposed options for TSMC featuresincluding potential technology transfer
to Intel Global semi semiconductor shift.
Taiwan's role in chipproduction is decreasing.
(03:00):
. As the US becomes the center of TSM C'Sexpansion, this shift in semiconductor
dynamics could reshape a global industry.
China worries.
TSMC deeming ties with the USundermines Taiwan's autonomy and its
significance and global technology.
Basically, China's just mad because.
(03:22):
Taiwan sees them as a threat and Chinahas been threatening to take them over
since China doesn't see Taiwan as aseparate country, sees them as part
of China, even though it technicallyisn't because of the implication.
After World War II where thecommunist Chinese regime took over
and the Imperial Dynasty went over toTaiwan and they were technically two
(03:46):
different countries, but China never.
I basically fully supported that.
The issue is that China wants Taiwanbecause of its advanced processing
and its semiconductor business, butTaiwan doesn't want to be under China,
and United States doesn't want Chinahave this as well, given the fact
that mostly Taiwan's innovation hascome from the us, Japan, and Europe.
(04:11):
So China just wants technology withoutactually innovating anything, because
unfortunately that's what China does.
China does not innovate on anything.
It steals everything.
It's always how it's been, eventhough China keeps on saying
that it's this wonderful, innovative place, it's not at all.
It just steals everything.
They are dirty little rats.
(04:33):
Quote me on that if you want tobecause it's on voice anyways.
Anyways, this is good for us, bad forChina because eventually there is going
to be a war unfortunately for this, and China is a little bit cornered
because of several different factors.
Its industries or its economy hasbeen as great as it says it is.
(04:55):
It's birth rates is even worse than oursbecause of its one China or child policy
in China, and we are fully focused onthem, which is worse for them in general.
So this could lead to two things.
One is a war, definitely two is just,it's just China will just not do it
because we are fully focused on them.
(05:17):
But I'm not really sure which one, because is a very precarious thing.
But there probably are contingencyplans within the US and Taiwan
to destroy foundries if Chinaever does take over Taiwan.
So complete, utter destruction ofthese foundries would hinder China
a lot because they have no ideawhat they're doing most of the
time, and they need intact for that.
(05:40):
But for us as gamers, how this isbecause mostly, almost everybody
uses TSMC foundries for this becausethey're the most advanced state A DR.
Intel used to be this, but they losta lot of ground on this one as well.
But . It should be interestingto see where this law aligns.
(06:00):
Obviously, TSMC wants to line withthe United States over China because
United States gives them the freedomand the flexibility to be well.
Great.
And China doesn't.
China basically, you have toabide by Chinese government rules.
They're very draconianand you have no choice.
You always have to workwith the Chinese government.
So obviously they don't wanna workwith China to China's big surprise.
(06:25):
Who wants to work with you when youhave a choice, you never wanna work with
China and they steal everything Anyways.
Moving on to Fable Games.
So Fable was announced, I think a fewyears ago, something like that, but
it was originally planned to release.
This year has been delayed to 2026 and apossible PS five day one release as well.
(06:52):
So that could be.
Interesting to see.
Microsoft has a newmulti-platform strategy.
Given the fact that they have withthe, including Activision and Blizzard,
it, it's no big surprise that theywanna do more, more multi-platform
than less because they just have somany platforms and games and why not?
(07:15):
, or I should say publishers and developersare now under there as just developers.
Why not be multi-platform instead, given the fact that also they have
the cloud gaming, their relianceon hardware specific platforms
to have dominance is silly.
Now because of cloud gaming plus Windows.
(07:36):
Why would you care about onespecific device and why would
you limit your business to this?
So the speculation is thateventually will come out to PS
five, PC and Xbox maybe switchedto really not sure about that one.
But the other thing could be is thatthey're fixing the ugly protagonist
(08:00):
in the new Fable games thateverybody has made fun of because
it just looks so ugly for a woman.
Everybody's like, why are youmaking women ugly in video games?
We don't like this.
Plus they're probably fixing anotherthings since a vow has not been doing
very well, no matter what they say.
Avow has not done well.
Steam charts has not even madeit close to the top play games.
(08:25):
I think at its peak was maybehitting 20,000 concurrent
players, which is not very many.
So they do have issues withgames just not doing very well.
Val was lambasted for.
Being at RPG, very light on youcouldn't really steal from anybody.
(08:45):
You couldn't reallylock, pick their doors.
You couldn't kill anybody.
Within towns, it was very,a bare bones, almost 2000.
If a game was made in the two thousandstype game, it just, it felt weird for
a game, especially RBG coming out.
In the current age, not having a lotof the features that Skyrim had, and
(09:07):
that came out in 2011, so it was weird.
Alright, moving on to studioclosures from Warner Brothers.
Yes, it was announced that WarnerBrothers is shutting down monolith
production play First Games and WarnerBrothers Games studio to focus on
profitability and key franchises.
(09:29):
The shift comes.
More into making games for Harry Potter, mortal Kombat, DC and Game of Thrones.
So what's weird is that MonolithProductions was creating a Wonder
Woman game, but there were rumorsthat the Wonder Woman game was
not really doing very well.
(09:49):
It was.
They, it was costing 'em a lot of money.
It, the game wasn't where it wassupposed to be, and Monolith hasn't
created a game since 2017, which eightyears is a long time for development.
If that was the problem wasthat it just wasn't there.
It was, I think, racking up $200 millionproduction costs, which is quite a bit.
(10:12):
and the sad part is that monolithcould have actually focused on the
third entry in their really welldone middle Earth series, which is
shadows of Mordor and Shadows of War.
They also created fear, which is anotheramazing first person shooter game.
They did code condemn criminalorigins, which no one really
(10:33):
cared about that one play firstGames were just founded in 2019.
It was acquired by Microsoft in 2024,developed free to play fighter multiverse,
which basically was being canceled in orbeing shut down in May 20, May 30th, 2025.
So this year.
And then Warn Brothers Game Studio, which is primarily focused on free
(10:54):
to play mobile gaming development.
So they didn't really care aboutthat, which is understandable.
But the problem is that there was just somany like rumors about Model Studio just
not doing very well, the one or woman gamewas just not good at the current state.
Which is funny 'cause if they werefocusing on DC model studios should
(11:15):
have been fine, but they saidthat this was a strategic thing.
But I'm like, sounds like itwas like you're just getting
rid of dead weight too,
since multiverse just wasn'tdoing as well as it could have
been in the beginning and.
Just cutting dead weight studios.
And it seems like, unfortunately, model Studios was one of them, given
(11:36):
the fact that it was founded in 1994.
And fear is an amazing game.
If you have not playedit, get a copy of it.
'cause it's a really good game.
It was, it came out in the airwhere, or Matrix was like the popular
thing and everybody was trying to dothe slow motion bullet thing, but.
Fear also had a really good AI systemthat would basically, the AI would
(11:59):
find covers, throw grenades, try toflank you like it, made it really hard.
A really hard game, but areally fun game as well.
Unfortunately, when we're are nownever going to get the finished saga
of the Middle Earth Shadow series.
That I was hoping to actually getbecause shadows of Mordor and shadows
(12:20):
of war again were very good, very w
they did very well.
It put models studiouse on the map as well.
I think they used theirown engine for that too.
They also created the nemesissystem, which is still
. protected for a while for Warner Brothers,so no one else can use the Nemesis system.
(12:44):
But I would love to see another gameof this where we actually saw the
Nemesis system and saw it even betterthan what Shadows of War actually did.
Unfortunately, we'renever gonna get that now.
So
this is where we're at monolith.
You should have just stuck with theshadows of War Middle Earth series
(13:04):
instead of doing a Wonder Woman one.
Really would love to see the continuationof that series, but unfortunately,
shadows of War will be the last one of theseries and it really is unfortunate too.
Alright, moving on to this isreally piggybacking off of what
(13:25):
happened with Warner Brothersclosing down the studios.
GOG is going, is putting fearin the preservation program.
To make sure that the games arepreserved and you can still play them
as well in the future, let's just say, because without it, eventually games just
don't work really well in modern operatingsystems as we've seen with command
(13:49):
Conquer games or anything like that.
But it's good to see thatwe're actually seeing
dog actually making sure that.
Model Studio's legacy isnot being left behind.
Since Fear was probably a really greathorror first person shooter game.
(14:10):
Fear three was probably the worstof the series unfortunately, but
we'll see what happens with that.
Also, what I forgot to mention isthat EA came out with updates for
its Command Conquer series andactually put it on put, you can
actually make mods and open source.
Its source code.
On the older Command ConquerSeries games, so we'll be able to
(14:34):
actually play Command Conquer forthe Future, which is great as well.
I just totally forgot about that, butthat was also a huge announcement w for
EA, for actually doing that because youdon't really see EA well open sourcing or
even allowing mods in their games anymore.
They used to do that.
It used to be a huge thing, especially with Battlefield too.
(14:56):
But . It has not happened in a long while.
Alright, moving on to Mel GearSolid Delta, which is coming
out on August 28th, 2025.
It'll be released on PCPSfive and Xbox Series X and S.
It'll be a standard and a delta or deluxeedition with a 48 hour early access.
(15:18):
If you get the deluxe edition,PC requirements is going to be
Windows 10 slash 1164 bit required.
Processor is gonna be the Intel 58600, or the A MD Ryzen 5 3616 Gigs
of Ram Graphics is gonna be the RTX2060 or the com, or the compatible
(15:39):
or comparable version of a MD one.
I probably see like the 67, maybe 5,700series, but anything below that, probably
shouldn't, wouldn't be able to play it.
16 gigs of ram.
as well as a hundred gigsof free storage space.
SSD recommended.
(16:01):
Unfortunately, we also have for therecommended requirements, is gonna
be the Windows 10 slash 1164 bit, theIntel I 7 8700 K or the A MD Ryzen 5
3600, which is the same as the minimum.
Interesting.
We also have, again, 60 gigs of ram.
(16:22):
The RTX 30 80, so it's not thenewest one, which is great.
Direct deck version 12, and then ahundred gigs of Ram SSD recommended.
This game is gonna be running on theUnreal five engine, and it's just
gonna have a lot of storage, but.
There is no a MD equivalence notmentioned yet, so we'll have to see,
(16:45):
but I'm thinking it's gonna be therise in 5,700 or the 6,700 and above
for the minimum, and probably gonnabe around the 7,000 series to 9,000
series for the recommended one.
Should be interesting to see howwell this will actually do, but
I'm actually excited for this one.
(17:06):
Plus with Doom, the Dark Angels.
. As well are gonna be two.
Two of the highlights for 2025 rightnow because we really got not much yet.
Everything else is either held diverstwo , or Boulders Gate three, because
RBGs now are really, they haven'treally hit well except for King income.
(17:28):
Deliverance two has beena shining moment for 2025.
So far, avowed has been a turd, which . Idon't really care what they say it is.
It's a success.
I'm like, yeah, it's not a success.
Sorry guys.
Alright.
Moving on to the eight bit.
Do Ultimate two Wireless controller.
It's gonna be around $60.
(17:48):
It's already out right now.
It is gonna come inwhite, black, and purple.
It's gonna have a USB cable cangive connectivity, is gonna have 2.4
gigahertz, wireless PC withlow latency, one millisecond
via . Eight speed technology.
Bluetooth for Android U devices also isgonna have the magnetic sticks upgraded
(18:12):
to the TRM electro magnetic analogsticks, providing smoother, feel better
precisions and re reducing stick drift.
R-G-R-G-B lighting rings aroundthe analog sticks and then
customizability is gonna be.
The Abit do Ultimate Software Versiontwo allows the following on pc,
(18:36):
Android remap buttons adjust stickand trigger sensitivity, motion
control, dead zone rumble sensitivity.
Save up to three customprofiles, extra buttons.
Four extra buttons, tworemap back triggers.
Two extra shoulder button triggers.
Hall effect triggers.
Triggers lock for in.
For instant switch back analogand linear button functionality.
(19:01):
Battery a thousand MAH batteryfor extended playtime comparable
to 480 MAH in previous models.
So it's a quite significant higher
battery than the previous one.
And then pro features a thousandhertz pulling rates on both
(19:21):
wired and wireless are two.
Point four gigahertz, modelsix axis Motion controls,
rumble and turbo functionality.
So it's a, it seems like apretty good controller for a
pro or ultimate, whatever it is.
So that actually is pretty good.
60 bucks is actually not that much now.
(19:42):
It's only for Android and Windows.
So there is no iOS and or Apple.
. One's for this one, but I havethe original ultimate one.
It's actually pretty good.
So if you're looking for an evenbetter one, this is actually a
pretty good one to plus 60 bucks.
How could you go wrong with that?
All right, so we're gonna be talkingabout, the main thing is gonna be
(20:05):
AMD's announcement on the RDA fourslash 97 and 90 90 70 and 90 70.
XT GPUs.
So it was finally announcedand to no one's well surprise.
It's actually gonna be prettygood cards that we know of because
(20:29):
we only have AMDs words on this.
So take it with a grain of saltwhen they say it's so much awesome.
It's so much better because.
Even in Nvidia says it about theirs, but the RDNA for architecture aims
to enhance enthusiast level gamingexperience with improved ray tracing
and machine learning capabilities.
(20:50):
Key features include enhanced commandprocessing, more efficient compute
units, and significant improvementsin shading and rate tracing.
Performance.
RDA four architecture isdesigned to make games.
Run faster, smoother with enhancementsin memory, inner release efficiency
and compression techniques.
(21:10):
So the RX nine 70 will bepriced at 5 49 and the RDX nine
70 XT will be priced at $600.
Now the nine 70.
the 90 70, sorry, I don't wanna say 97.
The 90 70 is gonna be 21%performance increase in over 30
(21:33):
games compared to its predecessor.
Excelling in both fasterraster and rate trace games.
The 90 70 XT provides even higherperformance achieving up to 42%
performance in gaming at Native 4K,making it compelling choice for gamers.
It's also said that the FSR isgoing to have the three point
(21:56):
one's gonna have upgradable API.
So basically if games have it,they'll be, it'll be easier to
upgrade to the newest FSR as well.
A MD is also integrated AI driven featuresacross its hardware and software to
enhance gaming performance and experience, including the new FSR for technology.
For upscaling, the adrenalinedriver for rDNA four will set
(22:19):
a new standard of for driver.
Performance, focusing on stabilityand giving comp, compatibility through
enhanced testing and user feedback can.
So what this does is that they actuallyhave a feature request or a bug feature
now in their software, which I waslike, why was that either there before?
(22:40):
That's a little weird.
But yes, they're gonna have more userfeedbacks and beta tests on it if
you want to test their beta features.
Now future proofing gaming with rDNA four.
The RX 9,000 series ports, the latestdisplay port in HTMI technologies,
enabling compatibility with high refreshrate monitors and upcoming game standard.
(23:01):
So it's gonna have 2.1
A for display port and 2.1
B for HDMI.
So on both of 'em.
AMD's collaboration with gamedevelopers ensures that noon.
Hardware and software technologies willbe fully utilized in future titles,
enhancing the overall gaming experience.
(23:23):
They shut off Crimson Desert.
It looked great.
They did a lot of hoopla on it, but themain thing is that it's priced pretty
competitively compared to the 50 70.
'cause they only are gonna be matchingthe 50 or comparing it to 50 70, but.
If it's starting at 5 49 for the 90 70and 600 for the 90 70 xt, and you could
(23:48):
potentially hit 50 80 performances, not quite sure about that one yet.
We'll have to see.
With testing.
This could be a really compellingthing because unfortunately for
Nvidia, right now, you have reportsof burning cables from your VIS cards.
Missing components within yourgraphics cards and low stock.
(24:13):
It's not looking good for Nvidia even.
I'm going, maybe I should switch to aMD right now because really with the
high price points and just not beingable to get a card is is really dumb.
Like I didn't really understand theirmarketing plan because I was like, I
get why you want the scarcity thing, but that only works for so long and
(24:37):
if you are having issues with yourcards, it doesn't look good for you.
Where people are like, Ooh, a MD looks, they're gonna have availability and it's
actually a decent price point and I geta lot of great things with it supposedly.
We will see how well therealtime tests do, but
(24:57):
even I'm looking at a MD and I usuallyam like, Nvidia is really great.
I don't think I'm ever gonna switch.
And then the 5,000 seriescards hit and I'm like A M D's
looking really good right now.
The Nvidia broadcast, I reallydon't care about that too much.
A lot of it is cool and stuff, but ifyou just get really good equipment, it
doesn't really matter about that anymore.
(25:18):
So
a MD, you did it.
You did it right this timewith the announcements.
I'm really happy about that, especially with your AI capabilities
within your 90 70 xt, which willmake even processes even better.
But plus, with your integrationwith your G, CPUs could actually
make it even more compellingfeature 'cause they'll work better.
(25:42):
Together, but the main thing youguys have to do is you have to hit
it outta the park with your drivers.
Your driver updates have been terriblefor the most part, and they've been
a lot of game breaking stuff, butNvidia has not really been hitting
it really either with a 5,000series card doing the black screens.
So this could be your moment to shinea MD and if Intel, you do even better
(26:07):
job of hitting . Nvidia pretty hard.
We could be seeing the darlingNvidia slipping with their
reputation because again, theysaid that they're going to have.
Enough availability for everybody.
There is no reference card really.
(26:28):
So a M D's not gonna be making their owncards, they're gonna be leaving it to
the third party people to make it to.
So we could be seeing higher overclockings with this one plus two a pins.
Awesome for a MD, two, it looks likeit's only a two slaughter as well.
Even better.
And the 90 70 XT is.
(26:49):
300 wattage and the 90, 70 regular onesunder that is like two 50 ish wattage,
which makes it even more compellingbecause it doesn't take that much power.
Like in Nvidia, you, if you wantthe 50 80, you have to make sure
you have a thousand watt thing.
(27:09):
I'm like, dude, like you can't keep onmaking me buy new, more PSUs just to
make sure I can run your card becauseyour card is really power hungry.
Like a MD is the better way ofgoing with everything they're doing
as long as they can keep this up.
The issue a lot of time with a MDGPUs is they're just not as good
(27:32):
as Nvidia, but if this time it canactually be really good, I'm listening.
And I think you should be too.
'cause really I'm getting sickand tired of Nvidia being this
like, Ooh, look how great we are.
Here's our really advanced GPUs.
Good luck trying to buy 'em becauseall the scalpers are gonna buy 'em.
(27:53):
Or they're gonna give them all to theYouTubers, and then you're like I think
I'm just gonna wait because why am Igonna even try to get one of your graphics
cards when it's not even available?
And it sells out in fiveminutes to scalpers who then
sell it for 10 times the price.
I wouldn't do it.
(28:13):
I'd just wait for a MD and see ifthey can actually make a better
compelling argument, which they have.
They've done a really good job ofmaking a very good, compelling argument,
so we'll see.
if they can actually keep thismomentum going because I'm all ears.
A lot of people are gonna be allears for this, and this looks
(28:35):
like a really great time for aand d to shine in the GPU market.
They already did a reallygood job in the CPU market.
They haven't done it as good a jobin the GPU market, so we'll see
how well they do this time around.
But anyways, what do you think?
Do you think a MD has a shot with theGPU graph or their graphics cards, or do
(28:57):
you think it's still in via all the way?
Let me know in the comments below, but I.
Thank you for listening toDigital Coffee Gaming Brew.
I really do appreciate it.
Sorry I've been sick so months.
If I sound weird, I'mjust getting over a cold.
But anyways, thank you for listening andplease subscribe to this podcast and all

(29:18):
Really just help with the rings.
Let me know how I'm doing and joinme next week to talk about what's
going on in the PC gaming industry.
Alright guys, stay safe.
Get to the graphics card thatactually serves you the best.
You, it's Nvidia, our md,and see you next week later.
