In this episode, I talk to Edan Krolewicz, founder of ExactBuyer. ExactBuyer helps you find the exact people you should be talking to and gives the information you need to reach out to those people in a reliable way.

Edan shares how he functions best, his company’s vision, and how they are different from the other tools that are already out there. He shares the importance of diving deeper into different industries and getting into where exactly you should be.

In this episode, we discussed:

  1. What ExactBuyer does to successfully help businesses.
  2. What excites Edan about macro-level problems.
  3. The difficulties of getting good at different prospecting tools.
  4. How they figure out the filters they use and the importance of going deeper into the differences and needs of customers.
  5. The importance of branding and building trust.
  6. Helping the people understand the business at large.

As Edan shares his goal to stand out in a marketplace that has a lot of bad players, we discuss the following things to help him achieve that goal:

  1. It all comes down to branding and being someone that people can trust.
  2. When you’re a young company, your brand is the relationships that you’ve made in your career so far. As you get older and as your company matures, then it’s not just your brand but it’s your brand and the people that work in your company.
  3. Doing market maps to find the right answers for your market analysis.
  4. Building and growing a community helps drive the direction of the company.
  5. It’s one thing to know what to do, but timing is as important.

WHAT IS DIGITAL MARKETING FOR HUMANS?

Digital Marketing for Humans is an interview-style podcast aimed squarely at business owners. It's hosted by a business owner. Around 90% of the guests are business owners. It's a platform that shares the stories of business owners, which other business owners might find useful.

Each episode is unique because everyone's story is unique. We cover the journey of each guest, starting with why they chose to go the entrepreneur route, where they are today, and what they've learned in the process.

We cover what it takes to build a sustainable business. The good, the bad, and the ugly; it's all in there. I really think there's something for everyone so take a listen and learn something new.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
