Editor Multiverse Sequels.

(03:04):
I remember the joy of firstdiscovering comic books when I
was a kid and couldn't wait toshare that simple joy of a comic
book story with my own children, you know, when they were old
enough.
And finally that day came.
It was their bedtime and Iwould read a comic to them as

(03:27):
their bedtime story.
I thought I would start withone based on a nursery rhyme to
ease them into it, and I choseSpoon Castle.
My wife, tina, rolled her eyesat how excited I was when it was
time to read our children,Turner and Faye, their bedtime
comics.
They plopped onto Turner's bedand I pulled up a chair.

(03:51):
Check out the cover.
I showed it to them.
I'll always remember theirlittle smiles when they saw the
muscled spoon figure,dual-wielding machine guns.
Ready, I asked.
They gave me a thumbs up and Istarted reading and the dish ran
away with the spoon.

(04:13):
One year later, frank the spoonCastle hopped his way up the
steps to his old home.
It looked the same the samepicket fence, the same flower
boxes.
It was as if nothing hadchanged.
But Frank knew so much hadchanged.

(04:34):
The glass screen door showedhis reflection the same Frank,
but older.
He tried checking his concavespoon face but since he was well
a spoon, his reflection wasupside down and skinny.
You can do this, frank.
You're home now.
He thought about using his keysto go in but knocked on the

(04:58):
door as to not alarm his family.
He heard his wife, mariaForkcastle, yelling Coming and
footsteps approaching the door.
Frank was a former Marine andNavy SEAL.
He had fought bravely in thegreat cutlery wars but at this
moment he was sweating so muchhe could rust.

(05:19):
Maria Forkcastle answered thedoor.
Maria Forkcastle answered thedoor.
She was as silvery andbeautiful as always.
She stood at the door and saidnothing Honey, I'm home, frank
said nervously.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Yes, it seems you are .

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Her tines were unreadable.
They stood there for thelongest time before she finally
let him into the house and againthey stood not saying a word.
Then Maria slapped Frank andsaid you bastard.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
You left us for that homewrecker dish.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
It's not like that, honey, Frank said, putting his
metallic hand on Maria's coldshoulder.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Don't honey me.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Maria snarled and slapped his hand away.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
You left me to raise our little sporks.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Lisa Barbara and Frank Jr, and I wanted to be
home with you every day.
I really did Not.
A day went by that I didn'twish I could be with you, but I
didn't have a choice.
I've tried for so long toprotect you and our little.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Protect us from what, frank, that hussy of a slut.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Dish.
Don't say that about Dish, youdon't know.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
No, Frank, I don't know.
I don't know how you could upand leave your family.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Please let me explain , at the very least.
I owe you that much.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
You're damn right.
Come in, the kids are at mysister's.
That will give you time toexplain yourself and leave
before they get home Hun.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Then Frank stopped himself, went into the living
room and sat.
Fork sat across from him and ashe talked he could see her
tines soften at least a little.
She of course knew about hismilitary background, but he had
kept his undercover governmentassignments secret.

(07:31):
She thought Dish was hiscolleague at the military
academy where they both taught.
But Dish was also an undercoverplatter for the government.
Their travel assignmentsweren't to give guest lectures
but to take out cartels anddangerous warlords.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
Oh Frank, why didn't you tell me?

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Maria asked and leaned forward I'd rather die
than put you, lisa Barbara andFrank Jr in danger.
I had to keep my lives separateand this last mission a year
ago wasn't an option.
The government made that clear, but I insisted it would be my

(08:17):
last.
And now I'm home and and Dish.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
Where is she?

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Maria asked pensively there was never anything
romantic between us, ever.
She was like a sister, morethan anything.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Was.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Frank looked down.
She threw herself on a livegrenade and saved our team's
lives.
Frank said, remembering thathorrible moment, he lost a
friend.
He had lost so many over theyears and would lose more.
Turner asked me.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Why did they say would lose more?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Well, look who has an interest in the simple joy of
comics.
I smiled and said to him ohyeah, they are just
foreshadowing the future, pasttime travel, when Frank teams up
with Salvagebot, who haduncovered that Slandor was

(09:31):
double-crossing the Honor Portaland working for Captain
Corrosive to time travel back toenslave the Malathons and trick
them into believing that Frankand Salvage Bot were their
enemies.
But they had received a secretmessage from Anternown warning

(09:51):
them not to trust anything fromthe Quartz Oblivion system,
especially Captain Corrosive.
But it was a trick to gainaccess to time portals.
So Frank and SalvageBot had tofight the Malathons until InPost
arrived with the ZetaContractor device, which

(10:15):
Professor Plezoid broke apart toget the NAR particle
accelerator inside to create aThelv-NAR wave device, which of
course caused the otherdimensions to destabilize.
My kids just stared at me for awhile.
Back to the story.

(10:36):
I said Frank and Maria made up,at least tentatively, and
decided to take the family tothe park the next day for a
picnic.
And oh, oh, oh, I don't thinkyou're old enough for this next
part.
Gang Turner and Faye gave medisappointed scowls.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Aww.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I countered it's okay , here's a good one, let's read.
Super Force School.
Check out the cover, neato.
They smiled and I startedreading.
Here's a good one, let's read.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Super Force School.
Check out the cover Needle.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
They smiled and I started reading.
It was a new day at Super ForceSchool and Havelarm had just
returned from her battle withDanger Moose.
I showed them the drawing ofHavelarm walking across the quad
of Super Force School.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Who is that?

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Turner asked oh yeah, yeah, just to give you a little
background, havallarm didn'toriginally start at Superforce
School.
She was born 8,000 years agofrom now on the planet Erykul,
which was fighting the LandblumLegion for sovereignty.

(11:49):
She was in line to be the nextqueen, but her cousin, marebrok,
was jealous because his familyhad always been loyal to the
Frontist Legion, even thoughthey had double-crossed the
Lizlords in the Battle of Thruwith their natural enemy, the
Snalfolk, of course.

(12:09):
So Marebrook had invitedGanterman to come to the royal
wedding of Jarlaga andStenderfarl, knowing an
assassination attempt wouldoccur.
But Stenderfarl had goneforward in time and discovered
the Venkor Diamond's true power.
So of course he foiled the planbut accidentally sent Havelarm

(12:35):
through the Sidon portal toFelgnor and she wound up being
invited to teach at SuperforceSchool after fighting against
Klantok, which well, obviouslyhis twin.
But have Alarm didn't know that.
Oh, said Turner, while Fayejust stared off.
Anyway, I continued.

(12:57):
It was a new day at Super ForceSchool and have Alarm had just
returned from her battle withDanger Moose.
I looked over and asked Turnerand Faye you know about Danger
Moose, right?
So to understand why have Alarmwas fighting Danger Moose while

(13:20):
she still was technically onlysupposed to be teaching because
of her probation from the HonorPortal.
You have to understand thatDanger Moose didn't know
Hav-Alarm had stolen thenano-gem only so she could read
Gem Reader's mind and get thelocation of the Flasnor device

(13:43):
before the warp wars started, but then had to go forward in
time to stop the last warp war, which allowed Leopard Chain to
access the core of Namblar, which gave him the last piece of
the forward device to unlockDanger Moose's eternity shackles

(14:04):
, which Danger Moose vowedHavalarm would be his first
victim for when she fought onthe side of the Antiforce.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Yeah right said Faye.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Anyway, I continued reading.
It was a new day at SuperforceSchool and Havalarme had just
returned from her battle withDanger Moose.
Professor Grattan stoppedHavalarme on her way in.
Has Trog'nar spoken to you?
He asked no, said Havalarme toProfessor Grattan, who still

(14:43):
wore his Arbarian uniform eventhough the Arbarian Legion
betrayed the Corodium Guard, which have Alarm kept to herself
, knowing only of the betrayalfrom her time she spent on Zlor
Island "'The last time I sawTragnar, he was in his
laboratory with Cranthine.

(15:04):
They were working on decodingthe Vlanlog device', professor
Grayton paled Trognor was withCranthine.
They were both working todecode the Vlanlog device for
Project Vlanlog, even afterCranthine had warp-traveled to
Dimension 38 to steal the plansfor the Vlanterg bomb which

(15:29):
could destroy everything indimension 856, thus unraveling
time here in our own dimensionby proton symmetry.
Oh, professor Graton, we allknow proton symmetry is only
theoretical, said Havelarmdismissively.
Then explain this.

(15:51):
And Professor Graton held up aglowing jest-up amulet.
Impossible, said have Alarm, but thought back to her lectures
she herself had givenexplaining how the jest-up
amulet was only consideredbenign before Dr Westron gota

(16:12):
hold of it to use as a weaponagainst the Kunilus Corporation
who were secretly buildingthat's right the Zeta Contractor
device.
I stopped and asked so do youkids understand how in this
comic universe the ZetaContractor device is so powerful
but it's practically useless inother parts of the multiverse,

(16:37):
unless you pair it with?

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Said Turner and Faye.
Tina came in to give the kids agoodnight kiss.
She saw the Spooncastle comicand raised an eyebrow.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Don't you think they're a bit young for that one
?

Speaker 1 (16:56):
eyebrow, don't you think they're a bit young for
that one?
Yeah, I started it and then Irealized, so we switched to
super force school.
I said we were just talkingabout the importance of finding
the Zeta.
Love y'all good night, Tinasaid and ran out of the room.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Mommy, take me with you.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Faye yelled and ran after her mother.
Okay, buddy, I guess it's justyou and me now Boy time with the
comic books.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Yay, Uh-huh said Turner.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Anyway, I continued.
It was a new day at Super 4school and have Alarm had just
day at Super 4 school and haveAlarm had just Turner yawned.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
You read that part already, Daddy.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Like a lot.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Oh, you're right when were we had we read the page
where Cranthane takes Trognarcaptive.
Will it make this comic gofaster?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Sure like halfway.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Yep, we read it.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Okay, hold on to your socks because it's about to get
exciting.
But first I need to fill you inon something.
It may seem like a spoiler, butit really isn't, because there
are multiple timelines haveAlarm and Cranthine are secretly
working together.

(18:15):
Yes, how did you know?
I asked, pleasantly surprised.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
Just a guess.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Turner said and rubbed his eyes yes, but they
are by no means allies.
You see, back when Cranthinewas working at Octovane
Industries, he invented Sometype of time portal bulls**t.
Asked Turner Language son butwrite again.
This would allow him to create.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Multiple timelines.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
We said together.
I was impressed by howengrossed Turner was, even
though he had turned over andpulled the covers up over his
head.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Good night, Daddy.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Good night, son.
I love you.
I gave him a kiss on his headand turned off the light.
I went down the hall and tuckedin Faye.
I brushed my teeth, put on mypajamas and as I climbed into
bed, tina was reading some novelabout self-discovery or what
such.
You wouldn't believe how muchTurner loves comics, I said.

(19:25):
Tina smiled at me and winked.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
He's a nerd just like his dad.
He's a nerd just like his dad.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
He even figured out that before I even read it,
havalar and Cranthine aresecretly working together.
Yes, how did you know?
Just a guess, tina said, nottaking her eyes off her book yes
, but they are by no meansallies.
You see, back when Cranthinewas working at Octovane

(19:55):
Industries, he invented Sometype of time portal bulls**t.
Good night, honey.
She closed her book, turned offthe light and went to sleep.
I tried to fall asleep but Ikept wondering what if in the
distant past?
But I kept wondering what if inthe distant past, the court's

(20:24):
oblivion system had kept theirtruce with the Dargon portal
keepers and thus the Tralnorwould not have formed the
Justice Board to defeat PrinceRoran?
Thank you for listening.
I hope you enjoyed the storyand thank you for allowing me to
rant about how you pretty muchneed a master's degree in Marvel
lore to understand the moviesnow but that's my own rant,

(20:48):
letting it out to the multiverse.
And until next week, please besure to play nice with others,
be super duper kind to yourselfand, as always, remember to
laugh Bye.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
It's okay, guard, leave me alone with the prisoner
.

Speaker 6 (21:19):
Yes, sir.
Oh, Captain Tardrill, Is thisabout the Faldon multiplexer
incident?
I told you I was under mindcontrol by Pillager, who had
double-crossed the Gavar squadin order to trick Dagger Queen

(21:40):
into giving him the Transon mapwhich he could use to
time-thwart his father, KingPrill.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Yes, everyone knows that.
No, I'm here on unofficialcapacity To break you out of
super prison.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
What.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Oh yes, the actual Captain Tardrell met an
unfortunate demise in histimeline Indeed here.
Let me take off this mask.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
Why, replanator?
Why are you breaking me out?
