Even Navy SEALS practice box breathing as a way to deal with the stress of high pressure situations. Box Breathing can help anyone maintain a calm and regulated nervous system. I love it, and it is my TOP breathing recommendation if you want to experience FULL BODY RELAXATION after a brief breathing session! While you breathe along in this episode, I recommend breathing in through your nose, holding the inhalation for three seconds, then blowing out through your mouth, holding the emptiness of the exhalation for three seconds, and inhaling into your lungs from the bottom up, as if you are filling up a glass of water with your breath.
