Our journey looking back at Star Wars: Visions Season 1 has finally concluded, and we're looking back at our favorite episode of the first season once more - "Akakiri." A pitch-perfect short that serves as a wonderful tribute to Kurasawa's The Hidden Fortress, bringing the season full-circle.

In spite of our insistence it was a bad episode, we have to admit, we were wrong. (Or, more likely, our tastes and perspectives have changed with time.) "Lop & Ochō" was a fantastic episode to revisit. We found so much more depth and appreciation for the story Geno Studio told this time around.

Standing in stark contrast to the previous episode, "T0-B1," is Masahiko Otsuka and Studio Trigger's "The Elder," a very dark tale--perhaps the darkest of the season--with a message about aging and trying to escape that which comes for us all: time. It's yet another excellent entry in this season, which incredible visuals...

We've finally arrived at the end and, goodness, do we hate that it's over. We've said it so many times, but this is a very special show. We discuss the satisfying end of the series and so many character's journeys—Luthen, Kleya, Cass, Bix, Vel, Dedra—even Partagaz.

Plus, we spend time on some of the lighter moments in this arc, which are necessary and beautiful in their own right. (We love Granny Faiza!)

Cass, just trying to live his life with Bix on Yavin IV, is marked as a “messenger” by a mysterious Force Healer; soon after, he and Wil return to Ghorman to target Dedra Meero. The Ghorman people are kettled into the town square by Imperial Forces, which quickly turns into the Ghorman Massacre - a heartbreaking event we found impossible not to connect to current events in Gaza. And, last but not least, Mon publicly denounces Palpa...

The Ghorman story really takes flight in this arc as the Empire, through Dedra and Syril, tug on the strands of the Ghorlectipod web they've woven behind the scenes.

Cass and Bix try to get settled in Coruscant, Kleya and Luthen have to clean up a mess they made, Saw teaches Wilmon to huff rhydo, and Vel and Cinta reunite briefly.
