Speaker 1 (00:03):
No officially open. Welcome back to draft season. I am
John Schmell, joined by the usual crew, Tony Pauline, Eric Crocker.
It's all brought to you by Tommy Hope, figure, a
PVH brand and an official partner of the New York
Football Giants. The college football season rolls on, guys. We

(00:24):
are in the middle of October. We've had some big
matchups and it's been fun Saturdays. Man, It's some really
good games. Last week, Tony, Eric, and we're kind of
cranking along here as we really now head into the
meat of these conference schedules. A couple of defeatis went
down last week, and there were still some really exciting
games and both of the undefeated team both of the
undefeated teams that lost lost in uh what we're exciting

(00:46):
fashion or exciting games. I did learn something and I
was watching the Alabama Tennessee game at a bar out
on that Lanta. I was out there for the forty
nine this Falcons game, and a lot of people are
rooting against Alabama, a lot of people. It was very
clear sitting there at that bar, I'm trying to evaluate
a prospect, you know, just watching on TV, just trying

(01:07):
to get the feel of it and what it looks
like and in the moment, and that's one thing you
can't really get from all twenty two, right, like just
that feel of the moment and the player and you know,
uh oh man, the overthrow and how you know, how
it was in that moment right there. But then coming
back in the emotions tied into it. But there was
some big time stuff over the weekend. But you said
you were you were in the bar in Atlanta watching

(01:29):
the game. Atlanta is in the state of Georgia, you know,
University of Georgia Athens. Ain't that It's not that far
away from Atlanta. So I'm sure a lot of those
people had you know, two things of mine. Alabama lose Georgia,
continue to stay at the top of the bulls. Yeah,
no question, al right, guys, And you actually kicked this
off to the perfect spot here fifty two forty nine. Uh,

(01:52):
number six Tennessee knocks off number three Alabama in that game.
It goes back and forth, and look, I think even
though Alabama lost the game, I think you really have
to be impressed with the job Bryce Young did in
that contest. We talked about it not a ton of receivers,
but boy, you know, facing a pass rush, moving in
the pocket, making quick throws. You know, to me, he's

(02:12):
just continuing to solidify himself, in my opinion, is the
top quarterback. I know some people like ce J. Stroud,
but certainly in that conversation as of the first or
second pick in this year's draft, Tony he's a joy
to watch. He's an absolute joy to watch. He did
it against Texas, it was it was ten times at
against Alabama. What we saw of Sunday, the fact that

(02:33):
you know, he just basically carved up the Tennessee defense
even though he was getting the snot beat out of him.
I I mean, how to come out of the game
and how to continue to pull himself up off the ground.
Didn't make a make bad passes, sees the defense, you know,
understands and I said this all summer. You know, when
you watch him, you can just see he uses football intellect.

(02:55):
He sees what's going on on the field. He knows
what the defense is gonna do, and he's always making
the right decision. Doesn't have the great size like c J. Stroud,
doesn't have a huge arm like c J. Stroud, so
a team is gonna have to, you know, gonna have
to make a decision. Are they willing to give away
something in the vertical game to get a guy that

(03:15):
you know under thirty yards is absolutely lethal? And like
I said, he's a joy to watch. I really like
how you started off talking about picking themself up and
things like that, and we saw that. Now this is
I feel like most of the first half of this
college season where Bryce Young has to face adversity, and
I think, you know, you find out the most about

(03:36):
somebody through adverse times. And you watched him against Texas
and what it looked like he had to fight, he
had to scrap, and he had the mandrow's late in
that game, he was getting drilled the Texas defensive playing
lights out and he had to figure out a way
to overcome that and lead his team to a victory
in the last seconds. And you watched him against Tennessee
and I felt like they didn't lose this game because
of him. Kick that opportunity shank to field goal and

(03:58):
then you know, Tennessee gets the ball dang near midfield,
makes one thrill and they end up winning that game.
But I felt like Bryceellen gave his team every opportunity,
even when it was down right, even when your defense
cannot get a stop early in the game. It's like
twenty eight to ten year down eight teen points and
you can't get rattled. You're in enemy territory, you're on
the road, everything is against you. And I felt like

(04:19):
they were able to Alabama was able to look to
him to lead them to victory, and he almost did it.
But I was extremely impressed. Obviously we know the things
he can do as far as throwing the ball, the
mobility and things like that, but who he is as
a person, as a player, in the mindset, as a leader.
I think that's been something that has been very impressive

(04:40):
throughout the early parts of this season. And you say
questionable receivers, the offensive line is not playing that well,
oh yeah, yeah, I was gonna add that to Yeah,
this offensive line is not what we're used to seeing,
uh in the past from Alabama offensive lines, regardless of
who the quarterback is. And I think it just makes
it shouldn't make you appreciate Rice Young's performance that much more. Yeah, look,

(05:03):
and I was gonna add exactly that, Tony. You know,
you looked at Mac Jones a couple of years ago, right,
and the situation around him was perfect, right, The protection
was great, He had one of the best wide receiver
groups in the league. And you know, you're wondering with him, well,
how much is it the system? How much is it
the quarterback? And I think this is gonna help Bryce
Young this year. Right, These NFL teams are seeing him
in non ideal circumstances, which quite frankly, you guys know this,

(05:25):
when you get drafted at the top of the draft,
you're not going to a good team, right, You're going
to a team where there's not gonna be ideal circumstances.
And we're seeing him and again not to say Alabama
is you know, talent deficient. That's crazy talk, but it's
not what it has been in the past. So to me,
this actually probably gives town evaluators more inside into Bryce
Young than they would if he was surrounded by a

(05:46):
bunch of first round wide receivers in first round offensive linemen.
It should. I reported a couple of weeks ago that
people in the scouting community are not as high on
the top two quarterbacks as people say in the draft
Twitter world. And again I go back to with Rice Young.
It's gonna come down to are you comfortable with a
guy who's not that big? It's not gonna be is

(06:07):
easy for Bryce Young to pull himself off the turf
on Sunday as he did Saturday, uh against Tennessee. And
are you willing to give away something in the vertical
game because the god does not have a major league arm.
Those are the decisions that are gonna have to be made.
And when you compare them to c J. Stroud, you know,
I've said I sit time and time again. Football coaches
do exactly that they coach football, and they think they'll

(06:29):
say that c J. Scroud has got significantly better physical skills.
We will coach him to be that Brice Young type
of see the field underneath pass or accuracy. Doesn't always
work out, but that's that's the way it goes. That's
how I'm really big on too, you know, trying a
lot of athletes. I worked with guys, and you love
guys that have like the mental uh capacity to really

(06:50):
carry on a load of whatever it is that they're
going into. But I'm used on what can you fix
and what can't you fix? And you can't fix somebody
that's maybe six feet tall. You know, you can add
a little bit of weight to him and the height
might not be that big of a difference, but maybe
the arm strength right, so a little bit smaller, not
as not as big as an arm right. And you

(07:11):
can look at guys like Russell Wilson, but coming out
Russell Wilson very shortened stature, but had a you know,
a baseball arm. He was able to really push the
ball down the field and put some velocity on throws.
And uh, if you are in office, maybe even the
West Coast offense that wants to live more on quick
to intermediate throws and be accurate with timing and rhythm.
And I see that a lot with the forty Niners
who I covered where hey, man, they want a guy,

(07:33):
can you drop back as soon as that back leg
hits the ground, boom ball out, timing, rhythm, accuracy efficient
if you could do those things, and there definitely is
an offense for Bryce Young. Yeah, I'm with you, and guys,
I should I want to talk a little bit about
the other quarterback in this game, because he's had a
heck of a year. You know, Hendon Hooker, he started
Virginia Tech transferred this year. He's completing sevent his passes

(07:54):
eight yards, fifteen touchdowns, one interception. You know he unlike
Bryce Young, he checks all the boxes on the physical
trades right six to eighteen. Big kid? Where is he
sitting now? I know he's an older prospect, he's twenty
five years old. Is he a day two pick Tony?
Is he early day three crop? How do you guys
see Hooker being viewed by the NFL community? Either one

(08:16):
of you guys can take this well. I mean, coming
into the season he had late round grades. He's obviously
moved up to ray up boards with his performance. You
mentioned one interception this season, and that interception came last
week against Alabama. Prior to that, he was playing mistake
free football, very accurate, high percentage of completion percentage, not

(08:37):
gaudy numbers. He's not thrown for three hundred, three hundred
fifty four hundred yards every week, but he does a
great job commanding and controlling the offense. He's making a
move up draft boards. He's not making a Kenny Pickett
type move up draft boards where say Pike it was
came into the season last year grade as a six
seventh round pick ended up as a first rounder or
some of the other quarterbacks. Right now, I have handon

(08:59):
Hooker at is a third round pick. A lot will
depend on how he does in the postseason at the
Senior Bowl. If he goes to the Senior Bowl and
has Hi Matt Jones performance, I think he's going to
move into the top seventy five selections. But right now
he is. His draft stock is much higher right now
than when it was in the in the Scout of

(09:20):
community when the season began, because he's showing constant improvement.
The age thing may not work against him, because you know,
if you want a mature player, you know you want
that you wanted at the quarterback position, especially this day
and age where you're not waiting three years for your
quarterback to produce. You want him to produce, you know,
a week one. So that may not work against him.

(09:42):
But the improvement, the accuracy, the decision making, the way
he commanded and control the offense. There was one series
uh at the end of that game. It was right
before the pass interference late in the game down the
left hand sideline where he had he had missed the PA.
The body language was just not good. I mentioned how

(10:03):
the body language does not look good for Henn and
Hooker picked himself right up, got him in the end zone,
ended up moving him down the field for the game
winning field goal. Yeah. Me, watching the hend and Hooker
kind of reminds me of Geno Smith coming out right
like a player who maybe some people will be higher on,
maybe he will be higher on himself, but the NFL
might see him as more of a day to pick.

(10:25):
You see some of the intangibles, you see the mobility,
and I don't think he relies on it, but when
he needs to run, he does. I watched him overthrow
a couple of receivers down the field. You're like, oh, man,
you gotta hit those. Then he came back. He didn't
let that bother him. Came right back and he threw
several balls downfield. Now the receivers were a lot more
open and then probably what he'd see at the next level.

(10:45):
But and we'll get to that receiver as well. But overall,
I like what I've seen from him. Again, I like
what Tony says when he mentions the Senior Bowl. I
think that's gonna be huge for him in the evaluation
process and being an older prospect as was like I said,
General Smith who played all four years at West Virginia. Well,

(11:06):
you just mentioned the wide receiver, so we'll circle back
to the running back. So let's let's do wide receivers first.
Since you mentioned a Jalen Hyatt, just a monster game
against Alabama, I mean just all over the place. I
don't have it in front of me. I think over
two in your yards receiven though. He was all over
the place, a bunch of touchdowns. Thank you your your
thoughts on Hyatt and what he did for his draft stock,

(11:27):
and really a wide receiver class that is wide open
here in terms of where the first one is gonna
go and who the first one is gonna be. Right,
I'm still trying to figure out who's the wide receiver
one in this group right now. It could be probably
five different guys by the time the draft rolls around.
But there were something and again just in the sense
of his play and how he was winning against Alabama.

(11:48):
That was kind of this breakout game outside of the Aprica,
and he had a big game against Akron and then
he comes and he has a huge game here and
obviously everyone watching, and so that's the bradetiest of lights there.
You want to see your big dogs performed in those
type of moments. Uh. A couple of things here. On
his first touchdown, I watched him split too high, so
he had a corner who is outside levels who looked
to be reading more two to one, and you had

(12:08):
a safety who was kind of looking at quote unquote
kind of brack getting him. And it's something you don't
see a whole lot two receivers to the boundary almost
kind of stacked, and he just shot through both guys,
split the coverage and was able to catch the ball
down the field. So right there, I'm checking off, okay
as far as the speed to be able to beat
a too higher or maybe even a bracket that's there,

(12:29):
all right. His second testdown was from the slot where
this safety I was trying to guard him in space
and because of his long stride, he's not a huge guy,
but he definitely has that long legged runs six ft
around a hundred and eighty pounds. But you watch him
in space, and that's difficult for a lot of safety
staff to match the movement skills of a receiver who's
pushing vertically at them and have a two way go.

(12:51):
Once he went and he kind of did like a
little out and up type thing. The safety out in
space could not run with him. So he goes and
scores there, and I just continued to see him kind
of be a mismatch against guys who were playing off
coverage against him. It happened late in the game on
the touchdown the tidy game, really late where you have
a corner, Uh, he's off and he pushes up Adam
stems outside a little bit and breaks across his face

(13:13):
and it's like guys are just having extreme trouble against
him from off coverage ones. That let lets me know it.
I think his speed is real. The the ability to
see him on winning vertically, I would like see more
underneath stuff and how consistent he can be with that
was just Alabama who just was maybe playing a little
bit too much man or match type coverage and leaving
guys vulnerable. Or is that why the production was so

(13:35):
much better than what we've seen in the past. That's
something I'm not to dive into as I continue to
look at him as a prospect. Yeah, well, the receiving
yards numbers have nothing that good except for the Alabama
and the Acron game. Every other game was under seventy
five yards. But you gotta remember, Jalen Hyatt was not
the number was not Tennessee's number one receiver coming in.
It was Cedric Tillman, and a a lot of people thought

(13:56):
that Cedric Tillman is a guy who, you know, if
he had a big time season, could broach breaking into
the top thirty two. Tillman goes down what was the
three games in the year, Hyatt moves into the number
one spot and he's really growing and developing into the
number one spot. Which imagine what it's gonna be like
when Centric Tillwyn comes back and then Hooker's got both
of those guys that throw him. I think you're seeing

(14:17):
the development of a real good white out right now.
I have him as a third round pick, you know,
because of the fact that you want to see this
progress continue. You want to you's got to show that,
you know, the Alabama game is not the exception to
the rule. He doesn't have to catch five touchdowns every week.
He doesn't have to catch more than two when you
have more than two when receiving yards every week. But

(14:37):
he's got to show improvement in his game, to show
that he's a playmaker, and his croc was saying, you know,
show the route running ability in the underneath coverage. Have
it as a third round pick. I think he can
move higher. But again we're just you know, at the
customer at the beginning of watching Jalen Hyatt. And also
there was a lot of slot work there. You know,
what does he look like, uh on the outside, whether

(14:58):
you know he's on the ball, off the ball Z
or x. Uh. Just beating man press coverage from the
outside can do that because you get a lot of
his wins were against off coverage where there's in the slot,
some stuff where they already was kind of scheming up
and get him in an advantageous situation for him. Junior

(15:19):
six pounds. Gotta watch that mute button boys, uh for
for Hyatt? What other big wide receiver cornerback battle this weekend, guys,
was USC in Utah Jordan Addison going up against Clark Phillips.
I'm sure you guys watched that game. Your thoughts on
not matchup in and what you saw between those two
guys that was in and out of that game. During

(15:40):
that game, I reported that I've been told that Clark
Phillips is going to enter the draft. I mean, people
out West told me it's a definite. We'll see. I'm
sure the coach is gonna try and recruit him and
bring him back. I saw some good things. I saw
some bad things. Clark Phillips is a tough guy. He
plays hard football. It plays aggressive football. I saw some
blown coverages, and I saw a guy who at times
struggles to get his head back around to locate the past.

(16:02):
But I saw someone who competed. The thing about Clark
Phillips is how policy which will be a determining factor
and where he's drafted. I'm told he's not even gonna
be five ft ten, and if he measures under five
ft ten, you're looking at a day to pick. You're
looking at a guy that's got maybe first round potential
ball skills, but the size is gonna push him into
Day two. I saw some good I saw an unfinished

(16:23):
product with Clark Phillips. That's what I saw over the
summer when I watched the two thousand twenty one film.
I like him. I think he's heading in the right direction,
but I still think he's got a lot of work
to do. Jordan Addison is what he is. I mean,
he's a guy who catches everything. He runs good routes,
he finds ways to separate. But Addison is also a
guy who seems he's got a thinner build, and sometimes
he struggles in those battles. I thought, I thought Philip

(16:47):
did a good job when it was just a straight
man coverage al Solca gotta run vertically with this guys,
he's challenging the ball at the catch point. I think
he did a good job there. A lot of Addison's
production in that game was more scheme dependent, where it
was in the rounds uh things where they kind of
a little uh was it called shovel pass, whereas okay,

(17:09):
we're gonna motion in this way, then motioning all the
way across. Uh. There were a lot of drag routes
all the way across formation. I watched a couple of
times where they lined him up in the slot and
you watched him catch a deep dig which was a
terrific throw by Kayla Williams and a good catch, And
I believe it was Phillips that might have been in
on the tackle, but Phillips was the outside corner, Addison
was in the slot, and it was a two to

(17:30):
one read and a two to one read for a
corner on a receiver bending across the middle of running
a dig. That's kind of difficult on the corner. Right, So,
just in the sense of the pure matchup, I thought,
when it was one on one me versu you, Phillips
might have won that battle. But overall, when you look
at the numbers and how Addison was used in the NFL, right,
it doesn't care. Are you able to be productive? You

(17:51):
catch the ball, you run good routes, you have nice
yards have to catch. I think it's a very fluid
runner talking about Addison, So those things are gonna change.
But yeah, it's hard to kind of see, say who
quite won the battle. I'd say, if I had to
give a winner to just when it was those guys
up against each other, I would have to go with Phillips.
But overall, uh, Addison wanted on the statuet Phillips actually

(18:14):
his team won the game. Croc, Do you see Addison
is more of a slot in the NFL that neat
stuff schemed up firm, or see a guy on the
perimeter that can win one on one against you know,
bigger physical corners. I think it can win one on
one kind of reminds me having this another USC guy.
Obviously I got the USC jersey behind me. I follow
the USC, but uh, Robert Woods right like kind of
that and that kind of uh tier of a guy

(18:35):
who you know, you see Robert Woods in success he
had with the l A Rams didn't quite happen with
Buffalo right, had to figure out how to utilize him.
And I think Addison is in that same kind of round.
Very good, Tony. Any other wide receivers popping up last
few weeks that you really like. Since we spoke last
end of September, Well, I mean there's one guy who
was really what We can talk about this later on,

(18:56):
but I mentioned him now and CROP has mentioned him
in the past. Uh from average owner Jacob Cowen uh
transfer from you tep who's having a monster year. Uh
And he looks really good and he's a Jordan Addison
type in the sense that he's a smaller guy. You're
gonna put him in the slot. He runs good routes,
he gets excellent separation, he's caught every he catches everything

(19:17):
that's thrown in his direction. And he's the guy who
has really helped himself, um Rashi Rice. We talked about
him before past a couple of weeks, Uh and A T. Perry.
Wake Forest has surprised me. I mean he's shown himself
to be more than just a big bodied receiver. I
think he's done well as has wake Forest throughout the season.

(19:39):
I want to throw one words around me here, Croc,
go ahead, Tony, you got one more? Hey, well, one
one guy we gotta I gotta talk about is Charlie
Jones of Perdue. Started his college Buffalo, went to Iowa,
had thirty nine career receptions, came into the season grided
as an undrafted free agent by scouts. Having a monster year.
I think he's already got fifty receptions. He comes up

(19:59):
with catch during the game's important moments. He's to go
to guy for Aidan O'Connell. He's having a tremendous season.
Here's the guy who has moved from late rounds the
potential Day two because of his play this season. How
about you, Croc, I don't throw a couple of white
outs at me. Quentin Johnston out of TCU is intriguing
because he was not productive and the analytical people once

(20:21):
they punched his numbers in to their little computers and
it spits out what he is and what he isn't.
They are not gonna like him because he is what
they call a what I call uh gosh, I can't
remember the exact analytical word for it. But at the
end of the day, when he doesn't have that early production, right,
breakout age, that's what it is. They're not gonna like
his breakout age for a guy who has played he's

(20:43):
been there for like four years, and even early in
the season you're not really seeing their production. Then all
of a sudden, the last two games he catches for
like over four hundred yards. Right. Uh, you see some
ability there. He's a long legged guy, big receiver, able
to stretch the field win vertically and at the catch point. Uh,
a little lumbering in his movements where they're just kind
of longer. But I could see a guy like him

(21:06):
starting to maybe go from hey, I'm gonna be undrafted
to canny be a fifth or sixth round guy and
kind of push himself into that conversation. Yeah, he's starting
to develop into a real good pass because he's put
us some big numbers recently. So what with with TCU
it's a matter of is that the system is that
the quarterback. I like Max Newgan, but Max Dugan's got

(21:27):
a ways to go to become a passer. Uh, he's
also on the rise. Uh. Johnson is a guy. I'm
pretty sure. I haven't heard any inside information, pretty sure
he'll end up in the draft, and I think Croc
is right. He he will end up going much earlier.
And people think, Hey, Giant fans, don't miss that on
your chance to go see the Giants and met like stadium.
Limited tickets are available for all remaining home games, including

(21:49):
a matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. There's the Giants dot
com slash take us to find your game this season
and secure your seat. Of course, it's not just the
Giants podcast. Folks were talking all things NFL Draft and
what's happened in the college season. So let's uh continue
on our kind of Tennessee Alabama game driving the conversation here,
and we saw JIMMR. Gibbs Croc have another really in
solid game. One of his runs kind of went viral

(22:10):
on the internet. He made a guy missing the open field,
made him look pretty silly, got him for a touchdown. Uh,
your thoughts on games, and then you can kind of
broach us into the larger discussion of the running back
class that you wanted to have. You know, earlier on
you were waiting to see that version of him as
a runner, like he was at Georgia Tech and you know,
going to Alabama, there are some people like is he
gonna win the Heisman because he's that dynamic of of

(22:32):
a running back and tremendous, tremendous back as well. And
you see the versatility early on. You watch him against
like Texas and you see the big time receiving numbers,
so you know he can really work in the passing game.
You don't see that with every running back that's coming out,
but as an NFL prospect, they're gonna want guys, can
you be at three down tied back? Well, you didn't

(22:52):
quite see it in the run game. It was really difficult.
Talked about the officer line not being as great as
it has been in the past for Alabama, so maybe
the round lanes weren't quite there. But ever since Arkansas,
he played against Arkansas, he really turned up in the
second half, having like two seventy five plus yard carries,
and before that, I don't think he was very consistent

(23:13):
in the run game, but you watched him since then,
I think he's done a terrific job. You see the
feat you see the change of direction, you see his
ability to make guys miss in a phone booth. That's
all there. You watch him against Tennessee, he definitely showed
up early and often. He's a guy who I feel
I can do a little bit of everything. He kind
of reminds me of a first round version of Alvin Kamara.

(23:34):
So there might be something like travisy E t n
in there a little bit. But that type of running
back where you're not gonna mistake him for being a bruiser.
Is he gonna get a lot of those leakyard is
where he gets a hit and falls forward for another
three or four yards. Not sure that's him, But if
you want to run him back who can catch the
ball at the backfield extremely well, utilize him in different
ways and maybe have you know, nine hundred rushing yards

(23:56):
but another nine hundred receiving yards. I think he's that
type of backs that are type to write one of
those types of guys. Yeah, yeah, I think it's a
little bit sturdier and Ecklin. But he's growing into the
offense and that's basically you know, he's becoming more comfortable
and he's a real good ball carry. You're showing some versatility.
Scouts you grade on the classman before the season. Gave
my third round grade, and I think he's probably at

(24:17):
least around higher. And really, when you look at the
running back class, which we'll get into, it's one guy
and everybody else, and I think Gibbs will be, you know,
at the top of trying to grab that number two,
number three spot with everybody else And Craig, you want
to talk about this class in general? All right ahead,
you got the floors yours. Well, there are a lot

(24:37):
of good running backs that we see play this year,
you know. Bijan Robins said, I'm pretty sure we'll talk
about him or guys like Blake corm Zach Evans. But
there's a couple of guys out west Man. I gotta
hold it down for the Pac twelve because I think
people don't stay up late enough to watch the pack
Dowolve games. But Zach Sharboney, running back I thought potentially
would come out last year, didn't stay another year at

(24:59):
U C l A and it's definitely working out in
his favor. I mean, the team is undefeated right now
between him and his quarterback, and I'll get to him
a little bit later, but they're kind of carrying his team.
And you look at Zach sharpen name as a back
of transfer from Michigan, a guy who is big, he's dirty,
he has nice acceleration. Maybe not the best long speed,
but if you want someone that can give you a

(25:21):
consistent five to ten yards and the carry, he's gonna
give you those type of runs and then every once
in a while spring off a bigger run. He's that guy.
You watch what he did against USC dot out. I mean,
excuse me, utah tremendous, tremendous, helped that team big time,
uh u c l A get a victory late in
that game. I think he's a guy who, again I
really liked him last season as a potential like round

(25:44):
three type die and I think he's still kind of
fits in that realm around three. But I think he
has definitely solidified himself as that type of prospect. Yes,
I mean he was he was good at Michigan before
he treasured over to U c l A. Scouts like
him and set and probably a little earlier than around
the three. They think he's around two guy. Again, it's
question of you know, he's more of a downhill type guy.

(26:07):
He's got some good short area quickness, but he's not
a pure perimitive runner. But he's very you know, he's
highly rated, and I think he's going to UH to
do very well. One guy that's really I think helped
himself this year, Sewan Tucker Syracuse has had some big games,
has really helped Syracuse in some big spots. Got banged
up last week against North Carolina State, came back in
the game orange or six and oh, and I think

(26:28):
Sewan Tucker is a guy who not too many people
were talking about before the season, and now you're looking
at a guy who could fit in the top one
hundred if he enters the draft. Another driver to Travis
Die I've watched a lot of him at USC. I
said I was gonna hold it down for the Pack
twelve man. I think he's done extremely Will they use
him in the passing game? He's run very hard, he
doesn't look like he's the biggest guy on the field,

(26:51):
and maybe doesn't have that necessary long speed that you
would like, especially for a bad guys, probably hovering around
two hundred pounds. But I think he has up himself
as just a prospect for the drafting his round. Well,
he's done a lot of really good things and maybe
are a real underrated part of the USC offense right now. Yeah.
I mean, I've Travis Dodars transfer from Oregon, and when

(27:13):
he was in Oregon, he was always a terrific player,
a three down back, good pass catcher, creative ball carrier,
can turn the perimeter. There's a decent job blocking. Uh,
And I've thought all along he's ridiculously underrated. I think
he's gonna be a real good situational back at the
next level. Right now, I have him as a third
round pick. That's probably much earlier than most other people.

(27:36):
But when you watch the guy, the guy runs hard
on the inside, he breaks tackles, you can turn the corner,
you can throw the ball. They'll do him out of
out of the backfield, and he'll block as well, So
you know, there's all the facets of his game. He's
not the quote unquote feature runner say the way Zack
Desarbone is, but he's a guy that you put him
on the field on third down, you put him on

(27:57):
the field on second or law you can throw on
the ball of the ball, give him, hand the ball
off to him. And he's always been a good player.
I mean he's been a real good Player's good player
for this year for USC this year. Is a terrific
player in the past three years at Oregon decided I
think uh shocked a lot of people when he decided
to come back for a second senior season. But you know,
he goes to or he goes to USC where he's

(28:20):
the number one back there and that system really fits him.
And and he doesn't wear gloves. That's it takes a
different type of character afterre on the football fields and
not wear gloves. Your guys. Thoughts on Blake Corum, the
running back out of Michigan that's having a pretty big year.
I really like Blake Harum and the way that they're
utilizing them. This is the guy that they kind of

(28:41):
I don't want to say he's in They maybe play
some earlier. Uh, they played a softer schedule early on,
but ever since the game started getting a little tougher.
They won't hand him the ball thirty plus times with
no doubt about him being able to hold up run
the ball extremely well, and in each game he has
figured out the way to bust off these really the
long runs. I don't think he has like the four

(29:03):
or four type speed, but that initial separate acceleration getting
through uh, these blockers and these runnings, I think he uh.
I think he really does a really good job of
setting up his blocking lanes and then exploding through there.
That's all really good, and he's just fast enough to
get to the end zone. So he's been one of
my favorite backs to watch because I feel like he
does a lot of the dirty work and it gives

(29:23):
you the exciting stuff as well. Well. The way we
talked earlier about how the Alabama offensive line is not
what it's usually is, the Michigan offensive line is the
Michigan If you watch that Penn State game, the Michigan
offensive line just pushed Penn State up and down the field,
which helps Core Hum a lot. It ran for four
d eighteen yards in that game. It's ridiculous and and

(29:46):
and a lot of that and applause to him. But
if he watched the offensive line and he had no
chance of that game, um, you know he's a smaller back.
As Croc was talking, he's very quick, excellent vision, knows
how do you is his blocks? I think because of
the size, because he's a smaller guy, he's probably gonna
be a Day three pick when he enters the draft.

(30:06):
To other guys as far to talk about, I know
I'm gonna Butcher's last name israel at Conda of Pittsburgh.
More of that Travis Die type of smaller guy, very quick, elusive,
creates yardage, can turn the corner and get around the perimeter,
catches the ball while out of the battlefield. A Day
three pick who I think is gonna be a real
good situational player. And someone who's disappointed this year is

(30:29):
Kenny macintosh of Georgia. A lot of people, even scouts
had it coming into the season, had him as his
second round, second round choice. Just really he's a size,
speed guy, six ft two pounds, runs in the low
four fives. Just really hasn't put it together and it's
not met expectations of scouts. All right, great, look at

(30:49):
the running back lass there and look we have to
mention Jean Robinson, right, I mean, just real quick, are
we talking like top fifteen pick? Is he that valued.
You know, the NFL doesn't value the runninga X anymore,
though I do think, well, the two I defense is
becoming more a little bit more of a running back
league today than it was maybe two years ago, when
you were getting a lot of that single high stuff

(31:09):
and bigger plays down the field in the passing game.
How Tony for talk to this guys, and you talk
to him your thoughts on where Bijon Robinson might go, then, Croc,
I'd like to get your take on him as a player.
I think he's a top fifteen prospect. Does he go
top fifteen? You know at this early stage, I would
say the team that watches the Houston Texans, who everyone
thought they were gonna take Bryce hole last year at
the top round two. The Jets stuck in front of

(31:31):
him took Bryce Holts turned out to be a home
run pick. Dabe and Pierce looks pretty darn good though,
doesn't he? You know that? But that that'll be one
team to watch because hometown guy, and he's a terrific
all around player. He's not just a bigger back that
runs over people. He can catch the ball on the backfield.
He's got really good short area of quickness. You know,
he makes the makes opponents missed outstanding vision. I mean

(31:54):
they lost that Texas Tech game because, uh it was
it was a fumbled by bi Jean Robinson. And he
never fumbles the ball. So I think it's one of
those situations where he's he'll be ready as a top
fifteen prospect. Does he go top fifteen? Uh? I don't
think the Buffalo Bills, depending on where they draft, if
he's there's gonna let be Jean Robinson, let him slide
slide past him. Your thoughts on Robinson. He's been terrific.

(32:18):
I mean we didn't even have to talk about him
as a prospect because I think everybody already knows when
you a scouting term. You're here throwing out a lot
about running backs. Is that contact balance, and he definitely
has that, the ability to take on contact, spin out
of that, pick up the extra yardage. Uh, he fights through.
He catches the ball extremely well. He's built to the

(32:39):
last the entire NFL season, Very sturdy built. Uh, there's
not much to to not like. I guess the only
thing that I pushed back on this he's getting compared
or when at least when I'm watching the games to
Reggie Bush, and I need to I think they need
to pump the brakes on that he's more Lindale White
than Reggie Wish, but still a terrific running back. Clearly

(33:02):
areb one in this class. Good stuff, guys. All right,
let's take a look now and a couple of the
guys that were supposed to be the top of this
draft board, Tony and you know, Will Anderson. I think
most people expected he would be the first non quarterback
taken in this draft class. The numbers though not as
striking as you might think taking a look at where
he is now. Midway through October, first non quarterback. People

(33:24):
were talking about him about Will Anderson's being a high
schooling trophy candidate. Not you're right, okay, and and people
like myself Adam as the number one prospect. It's not
turned out he hasn't played poorly. Thirty two tackles, five
sacks and what seven games this year, So it's not
it's not poor numbers, it's just not what we expected.
It's not up to the Will Anderson that we saw

(33:45):
a year ago. Now. I think a lot of that
is teams are starting to skiing towards him, and they
know the kind of havoc that he could he could read,
so they're the protections and moving towards him. I think
the other portion of that is, you know, Alabama has
another tremendous blud defender by name of Dallas Turner, who's
a true sophomore, who's not draft eligible, who's really elevated
his game, and this guy looks like the next the

(34:05):
next coming. I'm not mailing it in, I'm Willi Anderson.
But the first half of the season he's not played
up to expectations. He's not that game record that we expected,
that we saw last year that people used to gush
you over, justifiably, so so I think there's a bit
of disappointment there. He's gonna have to pick it up
the second half of the season, if he is if

(34:26):
he's gonna enter the draft, and if he wants to
be a real early pick, which you know he showed
two thousand twenty one he deserved to be. I think
he's made some plays that probably won't show up on
his stad sheet, But I think there's been a little
bit of inconsistency there, like like Tony had said, at
least to the extent of what most people were like
talked about some of the same. Right, four five sacks

(34:47):
in seven games, that's still pretty solid, but uh, it
kind of reminds me of Daveon clown And remember he
was coming out and he had that last year where
people are like, man, it doesn't quite is he all
the way into it all the way? And I'm not
saying that, Uh, you know, Williamerson's career will turn out
the way Clowney's has. What I mean, he's still a
playing He's had a long career, but maybe he didn't

(35:08):
live up to the number one overall pick hype that
he that he got. But just a sense of how
much do I need to do to kind of prove
that I'm still that best guy in his class, and
I don't know how much his draft stock would change.
We also saw this with Tibia where came on Thibodeaux.
I think even at this time last season, people were

(35:29):
talking about him as, oh, this is just for sure
the first overall pick, and then he didn't, I mean,
did he go with them seven overall? I believe to
the Giants, it has been riffing for the Giants. So
Giants are like, thank you, everybody for passing on him.
But I think maybe we're seeing a little bit of
that when it comes to Williamson. Yeah, they had the choice.
They could have picked Neil or Thibodeau. They went Tibodeaux
five Neil seven in that draft clock. But yeah, you

(35:51):
know he had the He had the game ceiling sack
strip of Lamar Jackson last week. Big play out of
him in that game, Hey Fanny, And then plays he
made to to you know, be uh Aaron Rodgers, you
know bat and passes down. Yeah, and only in that
game two against Baltimore here to play where you know,
they had a receiver DeMarcus Robinson deep and a pressure
by TIBs made um Jackson pulled that ball down. So

(36:13):
that's one of those underlooked plays that people haven't talked
about a lot. The Giants official Connected TV streaming app,
Giant TV brings original video content and game how It's
on demand and direct the Big Blue Fans. Giants TV
is free on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV,
and the Giants mobile app. Tony one, guy, I know
you're pretty big on if I recall correctly. Heading into
this season was Penny Sewel's younger brother Noah Sewell, and

(36:34):
I read in some places I've watched a little bit
of him, not a ton that he hasn't been quite
as dominant this year's Some people would like your thoughts
on what you've seen from Noah Sewl so far. I mean,
I haven't watched Oregon all that much. Remember they got
a new head coach. So you gotta is it is
it Sewell who's not playing well? Or is it scheme
he hasn't been played well? I mean the statue terrible.
The big problem with the Sewell Well the big question

(36:56):
I stayed up Seul was forty times was his speed? Uh,
Gotta watch him a little bit more, Gotta decide. You've
gotta figure out whether it's scheme or whether it's him.
But another guy that absolutely has not lived up to expectations.
I think, Uh, when you when you look at it,
in what six games this year, he's got twenty four tackles.
A year ago he had h I believe it was
a hundred hundred fourteen tackles. So twenty four tackles in

(37:19):
six games this year compared to a hundred fourteen uh
in fourteen games last year, even as a freshman forty
five tackles in seven games, obviously very disappointing. You gotta
wonder what's going on there. And he is one with
your eligibility left right, so that might be a deal,
or he might go back if things don't start to
get better. I would imagine right, uh, you know again,
it's gonna come down to I think with somebody like that,

(37:41):
it's how fast does he run the forty? Because if
he is a natural four right forty guy and he's
not gonna get any faster, I don't know that it's
gonna change his draft stock all that much. I like
him as a play I love him off the two
thousands twenty one film. But again, if he's a four
right forty guy in two thousands twenty two, he's probably
gonna be four it where he got in two thousand
twenty three. He's gonna have to make that decision. God,

(38:03):
all right, let's let's go to some either surprise players
or Day three guys. However you want to qualify him
that you guys have you know, looked at taking taking
a peek at, and you've been pretty impressed with Tony.
Why don't we start with you and then Crac if
you have, somebody can throw them out as well. Yeah,
two guys. Uh. Miles Brooks, a cornerback from Louisiana Tech
transferred from Steven F. Austin, has been playing through the

(38:26):
roof this year. Scouts I've talked to say he's a
day two pick. Some people think he can broach the
first round. He's gonna he's gonna measure over six ft tall,
He's got developing ball skills, He's a real aggressive guy.
And this is someone who before the season no one
was talking about and now they're talking about him being
at least a day two pick. Told Miles Brooke of

(38:46):
Louisiana Tech is gonna enter the draft, so everybody, he's
already basically decided on representation for the draft, So keep
that name on the radar for the second half of
the season. Miles Brooke, the cornerback from Louisiana Tech, we
talked about the Jacob Cowing before the receiver from Arizona
got to talk about his offensive tackle, Jordan Morgan, who

(39:07):
again came into the season with late round grades, but
it's been doing a knockout job at left tackle for
Arizona and as a result, he's a guy who has
gone from a potential sixth round pick. He could sneak
into the third round because of his play this year.
He's athletic, not the tallest guy in the world six
ft four and a half inches, but you can use
them as his zone blocking scheme. He shows a lot

(39:29):
of ability and past protection. There's a guy in Jordan
Morgan that has really moved up to draft boards this year.
How about your crock anywhere you want to pinpoint. I
have some guys I'm gonna actually go into opposite direction.
Georgan them them mass prospects, and I gotta start with
Cashawn Butte and I know he had a really good
game against Florida and it's okay, finally we've been waiting

(39:50):
on that all year long. I think that the opportunities
have been here though. I've watched games where his quarterback
Jade Daniels, and I know Daniels gonna be a little erratic,
but trying to push the ball down the field and
putting the ball up for a boot tay to make
a play doesn't do it. I think he gets a
nice good opportunities. They play him in the slot and
he's just not really winning those battles there. I've been

(40:12):
a little disappointed with the consistency of what I thought
he was gonna get, especially for a guy coming into
the season where people are saying, hey, this is the
top ten pick. Hey, this is the either number one
or number two receiver between him and Jackson Smith and Jigman.
And by the way, where is jack Smith and Jigman
is either best receiver right now? On at a house
that I know he's been injured, but Marvin Harrison Jr.
And he looks like he's kind of taking control of

(40:33):
things over there. But between those two guys, I've been
especially Boutet because he's just been on the field. I've
been a little disappointed. I'd like to see if he
can kind of back up uh this next game and
gonna have a repeat performance of what he had against Florida,
because that's what we wanted to see more of throughout
this season. All Right, I'm gonna throw the name. Do
you guys want to get your opinion, because I think

(40:54):
he's just a fascinating story. Red Church sophomore Penn State
left tackle Olu Fashan again very inexperienced, but you know,
it reminds me back and again, I don't want to
put all this on the kid, but if you go
back to you know, when Tyron Smith came out, he
was really really young, and people are drafting and based
on you know, size athleticism. I don't think he's in
that category, mind you, but someone without a lot of experience,

(41:16):
but certainly has flashed a lot and and has that
you know size and ability. You're looking for guys as
a left tackle in a draft, by the way, where
the tackle class is not great, so there's gonna be
room if teams need tackles for these guys to kind
of pump up the draft boards a little bit. Tone
I wanted to start with this one. So it's funny

(41:39):
you brought up Tyrn Smith because I'm watching him and
I'm like, is this Jonathan Jonathan Ogden Jr. Like what
am I looking at right now? I thought he was
playing well, I don't have one bad note and I'm okay,
let me get these notes off and he can't be
this good. No, I've only watched one game, so we
definitely preface and hebody just watch it right now. I
don't want you guys to pull us in. Oh man,

(42:00):
did you watch him? Against Michigan. Did you watch this?
I haven't watched Thows yet, but the game I did
watch against for there's no big guy, then I'm continuing
to watch Okay move as well for his size. Then
I'm continuing to watch man good, pass it good anchor
reech blog, will Wow reach the second level extremely well
in the run game, work second level well, move bodies

(42:20):
in the run game. He handled stunts extremely well. I
thought his hand placement was really good. I didn't see
a bad rep, like, not one bad rep. I was
looking to see how he handle speed. Can guys you know,
go and dip across and you know, get low and
bend to the quarterback. Didn't see that. It almost looked
like it was too easy, to the point where I said,
this guy can't be as good as what I'm looking at.

(42:42):
I need to watch more on this guy, but I
definitely want to know Tony's gouts on him well. I
did have a bit of difficulty at times with Mike
Morris of Michigan UH this last week, and Mike Morris
has been flying up draft boards. He's He's done a
terrific job. Comes out of a three point stands stands
over tackle remember he got some time last year because
they're a left tack or Rashid Walker was struggling with

(43:04):
a knee injury late in the year and was not
ad So I mean, like with anything else, red shirt sophomore,
he shows the makings of a big time tackle as
Rashid Walker did. Rashid Walker ended up in the seventh round.
He is on the active roster for the Green Bay
Packers right now. Ended up in the seventh round. Probably
he didn't play as well as expected last year because

(43:25):
of that kne injury. So you know, you gotta like
what you see early on. Now, you know, didn't play
that well against Michigan. They got Ohio State on the roster,
they got Indiana, who's got some good pass rushers. The
last uh the play against the Michigan State at the end,
Michigan State is gonna have an ax to grind. You
like what you see now, But again, you know we're

(43:48):
just at the beginning as far as the career is concerned.
Let's see if he can keep that going. Let's let's
look compare to what we talked about with Jalen Hyatt
earlier on. You know about how high high it is
looked tremendous. But we're at the one end of it.
Let's see, if you know, if you can continue to
prove that this is not the exception to the rule,
this is the player that we're gonna get an even
better moving forward. Dan. Again, when I referenced Tyron, it

(44:10):
was more just you know, the the youth, the young
age as a sophomore, you know that that sort of stuff.
Obviously not playing for that level quite yet, So we're
saying he is not Jonathan Ogden Jr. Maybe not yet
though maybe not yet though. Um alright, final topic here, guys.
We've thought about the expansion of the college football playoffs
and Tony, I know you're pretty passionate about this, your

(44:31):
thoughts on how that expansion could impact the scouting process
and then some of these kids coming into the process. Well,
my my question is this, you know, if a team
is in the playoffs, are we gonna see any players
that say, hey, listen, i'm gonna I'm not gonna, I'm
gonna back out of the playoffs because they got an injury.
And I want to, you know, get ready for the

(44:52):
NFL draft because we already see it in bowl games.
Now we see it players who get injured in the
middle of the season and they're like, I'm done, gonna
get get ready for the NFL Draft. Now you've got
the potential for the expanded playoffs and what two thousands,
twenty four they're talking about eight teams or whatever it
may be. It's gonna be interesting. And I had heard
in the past teams that when it was with the

(45:13):
format form team playoff, who wanted to back out to
get ready for the NFL draft and they were talked
out of it. So that is my big question. That
is something that you know, I'm gonna find I find
very interesting because you know, you're gonna expand the playoffs.
You know, Alabama's gonna soon they're gonna be playing a
sixteen seventeen game season, right And you know, I hate

(45:37):
to bring the you know, the the economics of it,
but the n C two A is gonna be making
billions of dollars on this, and these players are gonna
be putting the bodies at risk, are gonna get nothing? Uh,
And it's a question. And I know if if some
team is gonna if Clemson's in the quarterfinals and Brian
breeze A says, hey, listen hypothetically, you know, listen, I

(45:58):
got an injured ankle, I got to get ready for
the NFL Draft. I'm not playing in the past two
the next two games, people are gonna get all over them.
But I understand it for his future. I understand it
for his economic shure. I understand it for for his
NFL future. That will be the interesting thing because they
want to expand the playoffs. You know, all these extra
games for these players, and these players want to get

(46:19):
ready for the for the next level. They want to
get ready for the NFL. That is what I'm gonna
be watching for. And not only if it happens, but
what the reaction is gonna be. And we know what
the reaction is gonna be. People are gonna come down
on the players that may bail on the playoff game.
But you've gotta understand where they're coming from. Yeah, I
think that's the thing. And I didn't even think about that.

(46:40):
I'm just thinking about, you know, just the level of competition.
Do the playoffs get watered down? It was already kind
of weird last year when you see Cincinnati, and Cincinnati
was the other thing that got blown up Michigan, right
was in Michigan and even Michigan stand a couple of
years ago, right, So, I mean you see that it's like, man,
that's not really a great product. So if you put

(47:01):
even more teams here, which is gonna it looks like
it's gonna happen, and you kind of expand from there,
does the product get a little bit more watered down? Uh?
I think it does give some of these programs more opportunity.
Maybe a team sneaks up in surprises. Guys. There are
some one lost teams that you would can argue to
make the playoffs and now they'll have that legit opportunity.

(47:23):
I think the SEC because of the level of competition,
and you're looking at it right now, there are some
undefeated teams including Old Miss and Old Miss they undefeated,
and you got Tennesseee what they're doing and some other
So I like the thoughts of it, but also again,
I hope it doesn't get watered down. Uh. That that's
the thing I think about most. Croc, let me ask
you this, as a former college player, as an NFL

(47:46):
a guy who spent time in the NFL, are you
bothered by the fact that they're gonna expand the playoffs.
These these guys are gonna be playing more games, more
you know, more potential to get hurt. You know, you
don't want to think that, less time to get ready
for the NFL draft. And while the n C double
A is gonna be raking in billions, these players are

(48:07):
you know that, you know they're gonna they're basically playing
for the glory of it. Yeah, they don't see. I
know the n I L kind of softens that below
for a lot of these players, and the n I
as far as obviously, as far as I'm concerned, was
a long time coming. But I mean, just your perspective
from a guy who played in college, from guy who

(48:27):
played in the NFL. You know you're out. You played
for all Obama, you play for Georgia. You know you
may now have an extra two games on your schedule
and everyone else's you know, the n C two A
is raking in billions for this. But what are your
thoughts on that? Well? I think the first thing is
not everybody's getting in I own money, right, especially like
the big money. So for some of these guys, it's

(48:49):
definitely not gonna be as beneficial. And for the guys
that are raking in and I owe money and they're
getting big money is not gonna be as beneficial for
them to play two more games, and but their buddies
at risk in there are particial chill top picks. Uh.
I think for me, I just love playing football so much.
But also you're talking to somebody who went to a
Division two school, you know, and so the thoughts of like,

(49:11):
you know, money are injuring myself or even being able
to play at the next level. That wasn't something that
was going through my mind as much. Guys that are
preparing to go to the NFL and our potential first
round picks and putting more wear into on their body
or more risk. I probably would definitely be opposed that
we have seen more of a playoff system work in
the FCS level. But again, a lot of those guys

(49:31):
aren't saying, hey, heading into this senior year, like I'm
gonna get drafted top five, I'm gonna get drafted top ten,
I'm gonna get drafted first round. I mean, how many
FCS players have we seen get drafted in the first
three rounds over the last twenty years. I mean, we've
seen a couple of quarterbacks, right trade lands. Uh, you
see uh Carson wins and there have been a couple
of maybe onlinemen and whatnot, but you're not you're not

(49:53):
really seeing that. So there's definitely gonna be a lot
of discussion about that, and maybe they should talk to
the FCS and kind of maybe how they do it.
But different level of prospects you're working with. Yeah, and
although this out there too, just uh. As a benefit
to having the expanded college playoffs, scouts will get to
see maybe a couple more of those Markey matchups. Right.

(50:13):
You want to see a guy at a school that's
ranked ninth and he has give a corner, let's say
he hasn't faced the top wide receiver, and then all
of a sudden here comes Ohio State. Right, you get
to see him against Smith and Jig, but you get
to see against Marvin Harrison. So you'll get some more
opportunities to see these guys against the leite competition to
aid the scouting process, right, you should, I mean, yeah,
it's good in that sense, especially because you know you're

(50:35):
now playing out of conference games. You know, you know
you're an SEC BET ten matchups, so that should help
that that is a benefit without a doubt, and that
should be attracted the players too, right Croc, where they
can say, look, I'm going against the best here, I'm
putting this on tape. Some guys and other guys again,
depending on where you're at your draft talking whatnot, like

(50:57):
you don't care now again, right, well, we gotta remember
last year, what do we see in the college football playoffs? Right,
multiple guys tear a c l s for Alabama. You
know John Mechi and how that deriled his kind of
rookie years. Then obviously he has other health issues going
on right now. But then also Jameson Williams, you know,
in that last game boom Terry c l and you

(51:18):
know we haven't been able to see him on the
field yet for boy Detroit Lions. So you know, there's
there's a lot of that and there's just more risk
for some of these guys who Williams still ended up
going number eleven overall, number twelve overall. He had potentially
been a top eight pick, and now we're talking about
you know, maybe a couple of million dollars more in
one of these players pockets. Not great conversation, good points,

(51:40):
fellas we appreciate it. We'll be back guys in about
two and a half weeks, and maybe we'll do a
little recap of kind of how last year's rookie classes
doing in the NFL. That could be fun. And we'll
do a continual update of the college football season as well.
