Award-winning author Paty Jager and her husband raise alfalfa hay in rural eastern Oregon. On her road to publication she wrote freelance articles for two local newspapers and enjoyed her job with the County Extension service as a 4-H Program Assistant. Raising hay and cattle, riding horses, and battling rattlesnakes, she not only writes the western lifestyle, she lives it.
All her work has Western or Native American elements in them along with hints of humor and engaging characters. Her penchant for research takes her on side trips that eventually turn into yet another story. You can learn more about all of her books on her website.
During the podcast we celebrate that her 50th novel, Stolen Butterfly, is releasing May 2021. We couldn't cover all of her work, but we do cover several series, and talk about her inspiration, her work ethic for writing and where she is going next.
Paty is one busy woman keeping up with ranching, grandchildren, and still writing three to four books every year. If you love mystery I guarantee you will find something among her more than 23 titles. If you love romance, you will find the other half of her output there--both in historical romance of the old west as well as contemporary romance and romantic suspense.
She hangs out on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads and BookBub. And don't forget her website: https://patyjager.net where you can learn about all her books, any special events, and keep up to date with all new releases by signing up for her mailing list.

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
