Hello, Eito, Hello, wetoo, Hello, we thought this is
me Chokolata Radio Rumber ninety seven pointBoston. Yes, the podcast, this
podcast called the episode this is adifferent one, and it is a different
one because when could you rock starin a different format. This is the

(00:23):
guy to define where the rock starlooks like, sounds like without being an
actual singer, without being an actualartist, well, a different type of
artists, if I would, Igotta tell anything for anything Sea Cantante,
he wasn't a singer, but hewas actually someone that brought singers to the

(00:47):
actual wrestling. The w w Echampion, the Heartbreak Kid makes a noise
with us talking about next for misterShaw. Mike calls, Wow, pleasure
to have you. Thank you verymuch. Obviously, Uh, I appreciate
the interduction. Um, yeah,I don't. Yeah, I'm not sure

(01:07):
how much. Certainly, earlier inmy career I felt like I definitely brought
a rock atmosphere. Obviously, asI got older, change is melded up
a little bit to a little countryand Western. But obviously we are from
NXT thrilled about the NXT Battleground Premiumlive event coming to Lowell, mass On
Sunday, May twenty eight, Youknow what I mean, at the Song

(01:29):
Center looking forward to uh, youknow, being our first time ever having
a premium live event in Massachusetts. So NXT is filed about coming there,
and that is actually the NXC ChampionComarl and Haz's backyard, So obviously he's
excited about it, and just everybodyhere to NXC and the men and women
that uh, you know, performedfor this brand are excited about coming to

(01:53):
Lowell and just obviously just having afantastic time on May twenty eight. Sean,
how it doesn't feel being one ofthis groundbreaking type of performers. And
again I have to emphasize the wholeyou bringing that the whole rock star status
to wrestling in general, and thenbeing bart of this new era with NXT

(02:15):
and so on and so forth.Look, obviously when you're when you're in
there doing it, you know whatI mean. And it look, we
had an absolutely and I started withit. I loved to push the envelope
and that was. Look, wereally felt that we were doing innovative stuff
back in the nineties, right, and it was just something, as you
say, you know, was adifferent look and to the side of the

(02:37):
WWE, and it was Look,it was not easy to come by.
A lot of people pushed back becausewe pushed against the tradition um and a
lot of the I don't know, those deep seated things that you were sort
of never supposed to do, thosetaboo things that you were never supposed to
do. And we just felt likeit was time to push that envelope.
And thankfully, uh, you know, as we finally broke that ceiling um,

(02:58):
you know, it all came crashingdown, but all in a really
good way, you know, Imean, it just opened up, uh,
you know, obviously into the attitudeera and and you know it's taken
obviously, uh you know, theww to where it is today to a
multi billion dollar entity. And obviouslyNXT is a big part of that.
And that's something that you know,I would be a hypocrite if I didn't

(03:19):
teach these young men and women herelook looking for that next level, you
know what I mean. I mean, on one hand, obviously you never
get away from basic um, youknow what I mean, and what you
know foundationally always works from this lineof work. But at the same time,
striving to carve yourself a new anddifferent future and to separate yourself from

(03:39):
everybody else. So that's one ofthe big things we do here in the
XT and obviously you know and inLowell and on the twenty eight man,
that we're going to see a bunchof performers from NXT going out their battleground
and again showing them, showing everybodyin Lowell, Massachusetts and all around the
world what the future has for theWWE I attition, attition at see on

(04:00):
the whole world, the whole massand Connecticut's going to be coming down.
New Hampshire is going to be comingdown, Man, is gonna be coming
down to this NXC. And Ilike something that you just mentioned, and
it is the fact that the traditionalways meet the new ways in creating your
own way. Is this what's NXCis trying to do? Absolutely again,

(04:21):
because I look, I think allof you and myself, even as a
fan UM, I appreciated those thoseperformers that would take risks and and try
things, you know what I mean. And then look, every sport,
every form of entertainment, UM isalways trying to be innovative and cook deal
and again and take it into thefuture. And the WWE is no different.

(04:44):
And that's one of the things hereat NASC that we have got to
encourage. This is like, thisis the future of the WWE UM And
you know, look, on onehand, you always want to, like
I said, pay attention to youryou know, to your foundational principle.
But at the same time, Ithink the fans are really loving the action,
the excitement, uh, you knowthat NXT brings. And like I

(05:08):
said, when we come to Lowellon the twenty eighth, man, we're
just gonna We're gonna go out there. We're gonna tear the house down.
These young men and women. Youknow, again you are looking at people
that are hungry, uh, andthey are just incredibly excited about trying to
carve their way, especially with thedraft just happening, you know. I
mean, they see that opportunity tobe out there on raw and SmackDown.

(05:28):
You know, they're so so closethey can taste it, you know what
I mean. So you gotta goto songcenter dot com you get your tickets
because the battleground on the twenty eighthis gonna be a major blowout and it's
gonna be a fantastic show. Battlegroundon the twenty eight, Lowell is ready
and I think that you're going tohave a mixture crowd over here, a
lot of Spanish folks a endo becausewe love wrestling. Latino's love wrestling.

(05:53):
I mean, you you learn oneof the best Holezeotario, right, And
I got this question for you Eastpossibility of NXT eventually are going to to
Latin countries and try to do itthere as well, just the same way
he's going to happen here on thetwenty eight. Look, as you know,
growing up in Texas, man,you know, I grew up on
Luc Libre and yeah, like youmentioned, uh you know, trained by

(06:15):
Jose and a Theaty. So look, it's always had uh you know,
an incredible you know aspect, uhand impact on my career. Um,
just something that I absolutely loved. And look and that's what again even stylistically
in NXT, we you know,we you know, we have Dragon Lee
here now and he's just got suchright future and he is going to be
there and you know what I meanin lower lasts, um, you know,

(06:39):
showing everybody what he's what he's madeup. And look, you know
the WWE and certainly from an NXTstandpoint, we're looking to expand all over
the world. So I will alwayssay this to me, we have so
many uh as, you know, fantastic Latino stars that it's to me it's
come and sense, you know whatI mean, to try to uh you
know, to go into those youknow, aspects of the country this year.

(07:02):
Look, they got a big showin Puerto Rico. Um, but
we from an NXT standpoint, nothingwould thrill me more than someday to have
a you know what I mean,an NXT regular stop uh going down you
know in that neck of the woods. You know what I love to see,
I mean, especially looking at BadBunny now incorporating with WWE. I

(07:23):
love to see Bad Bunny also comingto an NXT advent of that nature,
and so on and so forth. What does it mean for you that the
actual Lightning artists have incorporated themselves nowwhere we're wrestling you being in here for
so many years, you being amassive I mean the original rocker for real.

(07:44):
Let's let's get to that. Well. Look, yeah, I mean
I grew up on you know,Scorpions and Judas Priests and at DC.
So you know again, and I'lltell what I really appreciate about guys like
that Bunny um is. Again,it's just the sincerity um at which they
appreciate um what we do, youknow what I mean. I mean,

(08:05):
he is a guy that is absolutelyyou know, he's a huge megastar,
and he could come in and justkind of phone it in and do whatever
he wants. But I'm telling youwhat that guy works so hard at and
again a true trying to understand andand and uh, you know, perform
what it is we do, youknow, I mean, he's I mean,
he's had a ring set up athis place, he's training all the

(08:28):
time, and again he's the guy. Look, I would you know,
I would argue that you know whatI mean, he wouldn't have to you
know what I mean, Wow,he could go to do whatever he wants.
But I thought I really like aboutguys like him and Logan Paul.
I mean, they have really theydon't want to just come in and have
a payday and do something to helptheir own ran. They want to be

(08:48):
good at what it is we do. They have such a respect, you
know what I mean for what itis that we do in the w W
that they want to be a bigpart of it, and they want to
They want to be good. Theywant the fans to enjoy their performance as
much as they do the you know, the regular uh full time you know
WW superstar. And again I wouldsay that that's that's something that's really changed

(09:11):
from way back in the day.You know, there have always been people
that have wanted to cross over intoour line of work, but I don't
know if they had quite the dedicationum that you know that the crossover performers
have today. Again and again,I have a great deal respect for Bad
Bunny obviously and what he's accomplished onon his own, but what he does
and what he gives and the efforthe puts forth um to really be a

(09:35):
good WW superstar enforce in the enforcingwrestling, it's crazy. It's crazy,
definitely, it is, Sean andand I want to I want to interject
there because the seriousness of wrestling,I think has been overlooked by some folks.
But on the twenty eight in Lowell, what's going to happen Because according
to what I'm saying, according towhat I'm my services say, this is

(09:58):
going to be sivy it is.It's gonna be that absolutely huge yeah,
I'm telling you right now, man, you need to get out the song
Center dot com uh and pick upyour tickets because we are coming. I
mean, Carmelo Hayes. He's fromthat Negather Woods. He is the NXT
Championship champion. Looks is that he'sgoing to be, you know, defending
that title against a very fired upand a very angry broun breaker who's just

(10:22):
a athlete and looks as of lastnight we just heard that again, we're
gonna be crowning a new NXT women'schampion by Lowell, Massachusetts, obviously,
and so look it's gonna be ahuge night and you gotta watch up obviously
NXC on the USA Network every Tuesdaynight at eight o'clock to find out what

(10:43):
Morris coming there Lowell mask because we'regonna blow it out at NXT Battleground on
the twenty eight All right, NSTBattleground on the twenty eighth at NXT Battleground
in Lowell, Massachusetts, laid it'sa pleasure for me to choke all out
the radio, to beat with apsar, would be with a legend,
be with a guy that that definingthe content. Because by the way,

(11:05):
you were one of those guys thatdefined content before content became content. You
define the whole being a rock star, aside from doing music before it's time,
definitely a pioneer, definitely and throughvisionary and definitely someone that understands that
given that the up and coming artists, up and coming UM wrestlers, opportunity,

(11:28):
it's all about. Thank you misterShaw, Michaels and the twenty eighth
once again take it away with that, we're going to be in Lowal.
Thank you so much for having menah, thank you, thank you for
the w W E also for makingthis possible to lp oh my gosh room
by ninety seven point seven. Nobodygot them Boston, Let's go
