Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everyone,
welcome back to empower your
soul.
Today I wanted to talk aboutdivine timing.
That's right.
It is that mystical subjecteveryone hears about, no one
loves, and everybody is sofrustrated about this idea of
divine timing and maybe there'sa little bit of misunderstanding
(00:20):
about it and I.
These are the things that Iwant to talk about today, and
I've been pondering this podcastepisode for a while, just like
I do all of my podcast episodes, and yesterday really, I think,
cemented the fact that I need toget this recorded and get this
out in the ethers, because thereis a lot going on economically
(00:42):
right now and I'm using the wordeconomically because I think
that is the true statement ofthe word, because, if you're
like me and you're likeeverybody else that's living in
America right now, times are agiant question mark and I know I
don't want to get into thedifferent vibration of things,
but the reality is is that youknow the word recession has been
thrown around, all thesedifferent things have been
(01:04):
thrown around and vibration isgenerally not great, with a lot
of people getting potentiallylike laid off and all these
horrible things that arehappening.
So when I'm talking aboutdivine timing, it is interesting
Because, as I'm going to let mecircle back to that in a minute
when I'm when I was developingas a medium and I would get
(01:26):
spiritual assessments and I justhad a spiritual assessment
yesterday for a client as wellwe, as the people who are meant
to be these lighthouses forpeople, the people that are
meant to do the work to heal theearth, to raise the vibration,
the lightworkers that we are, weare often told or we're shown
(01:48):
little tidbits of the future.
We're told, maybe in spiritualassessments, that we're amazing,
you're going to change theworld, you're going to invent
new modalities, right, yourimpact is going to be huge.
We might get visions orpremonitions of things that are
going to happen down the linefor us.
We might get visions of, youknow, I, I was told from a very
(02:11):
long time ago that I would beteaching, that I would be
writing a book, that I would doall these things, and like
that's really cool and so it'sso interesting, because spirit
likes to give us these littlenuggets of our path and kind of
what to expect.
But it's almost like they'reteasers, they're like the
trailers for the movie, becausethey're going to give you the
(02:31):
little bits of gold that aregoing to keep you interested,
that are going to keep youmotivated, that are going to
keep you going on your paththrough those frustrating
moments.
And as I say that, I have thislily behind me, it's a peace
lily and my guide.
When I found out who mymediumship guide was, she showed
(02:54):
me a picture of this lily in myhead.
So I went out to the localsupermarket and I bought it,
right.
And so this peace lily hasshown up continuously on my
journey as this reminder thatI'm doing the right thing and
it's blooming at the right time.
And I think there's a reasonwith this peace lily that I have
to talk about it in thisepisode, because in the moments
(03:17):
where I am really struggling andchallenging myself and going
through it, you know, it's likethose spiritual slaps that
happen right.
It's those roundhouse kicksfrom spirit and they, whenever
that happens for me, thisfreaking peace lily flowers.
(03:37):
It's only happened three timessince I've owned this plant, but
yet today, this, this month, Iif it bloomed again.
It was a hidden bloom, I lovedit, so it's just this reminder
that this is part of yourjourney.
This is part of your journey.
So let me get back on track herefor a minute, because we're
told all of these things, aboutthese things that are going to
(04:00):
happen, but then what ends uphappening is our masculine
brains, which I'm going to talkabout coming up in the somatic
episode with Erin on Friday.
Our masculine brains take overand think that I need to do it
and or it needs to happen now.
(04:21):
And this is where I am reallypulling this one apart, because
it's so interesting, because Ihave a lot of clients, myself
included, that come to me askingwhat their path is.
How are they going to get there, where are they going to go?
And then, even in terms of myclient yesterday, she has been
(04:42):
told over and over again howpowerful she is, how much
potential she has, how she'sgoing to change the world, but
no inkling of how she's going todo it or how she's going to get
there.
And so it's so interesting andisn't this the weird dichotomy
of us working with spirit thatwe want to see the whole picture
, we want to know everythingthat's going to happen and the
(05:04):
steps to get there, because ouregos cannot take it.
Our egos are so fragile and sobroken sorry, I'm going to say
it that we need this feeling ofcontrol.
So when I'm starting day one inmediumship class, I want to know
is this what I'm supposed to doprofessionally?
(05:24):
Am I supposed to be teaching?
Am I supposed to be doing abook?
I haven't even learned how toconnect with spirit yet and
still I'm like, hey, am I goingto do this full time?
Can I leave my corporate job?
I hate that job, right,literally.
(05:47):
That was me in my firstmediumship class, and so it's so
interesting because we want toknow transparency into the
future and into the ups anddowns, so we can have this sense
of control and make this theeasiest journey as possible,
because who the heck doesn'twant that right?
But at the same time, seeingthat whole potential future
either feels, number one, overwhelming, or, number two,
like you need to act on it now.
And this is where the divinetiming starts coming in, because
, again, spirit wants us to beengaged and motivated and
(06:10):
learning and continuing toenhance our abilities to live
our best lives here.
But we need to release controlof that.
We need to release control ofwhat the outcome is going to be.
We need to release control ofthe timing and what the steps
are, so that we can live thebest path, because the best path
(06:31):
is not necessarily the easiestpath.
The best path is I go through afreaking nightmare of a
spiritual awakening, feel like Ishould be committed to an
asylum.
Right, so that I know whatthat's like, so that when I have
a client that comes to me andgoing through that spiritual
psychosis, I know how to dealwith that, I know how to talk to
(06:51):
talk about it, I know how to,how to, I know how to have those
conversations.
Right.
It is because what spiritdoesn't tell you is the shit
that's coming Like.
A spirit doesn't tell you thatyou're going to have that
reading as a medium where theclient says no, every single
time.
They don't tell you that, right, they don't show you that in
(07:14):
your premonition.
They don't show you how you'regoing to get up and you're going
to have the horrible nightsdoing the demonstrations.
But that's part of yourlearning too, right.
And so when?
When you think about the thingthat I want you to walk away
(07:35):
with is this idea that thesenuggets of gold from spirit, the
future premonitions, thecomments from the people giving
you readings, the spiritualassessments, these are all parts
of the trailer of your life.
These are the highlights, right?
It doesn't mean that you're notgoing to go through it and it
doesn't mean that everything isgoing to happen right now, but
(07:56):
it means that this is part ofyour overall story and so when
we're talking about divinetiming, you're going to be
talking about the future, thekey here because you don't go to
a trailer.
You don't see a trailer andwant to know the whole, like you
want to learn more, you'reintrigued, I want to get into it
.
But it doesn't imply doing likethe movie or everything in that
(08:17):
trailer is happening right nowand it doesn't imply that
there's not bad, sad, cryingmoments in that movie too Right.
And so don't get caught up inthe trailer of what spirit is
maybe showing you.
And I think this is why a lot ofpeople maybe can't see the
future or don't know what it is.
And I know that is definitelytrue for me because I knew, I
(08:38):
knew and I've said this beforethat there was something coming
for me that was big, but it wasliterally a black box.
I don't know what it is andI've said that and you've heard
me say it, probably on thispodcast.
I don't know what this is, butI know it's big.
It's huge, it's like the sizeof my house and I don't know
what this is, so I'm just goingto go with it and eventually
spirit will lead me there andshow me what I'm supposed to do.
(09:00):
And that's the divine, thetrust in the divine timing that
we all need for this work, thatwe all need for this work.
So, moving away from thisexample of trailers versus
movies, right, I want to talkabout an example of divine
timing that is outside of thespiritual work, and this is an
(09:20):
actual use case, as I like tosay in my corporate job, use
case for what divine timinglooks like.
And this is a divine timingmoment that allowed my husband
to realize the benefit of divinetiming.
Yeah, my husband, I want tocall him the skeptic.
He's not super skeptical, he'sjust real and practical and
grounded.
(09:41):
And he doesn't care, he's justlike let's be in the moment and
I love that.
I love that he's, he grounds me, love that, I love that he's,
he grounds me, he grounds me.
So, when I am talking about thisidea of divine timing in the
story and I'm going to try tonot go totally into the weeds or
down the rabbit hole, but Ihave a little lake camp, I'm
(10:03):
going to say lake house becausethat's what I'm used to calling
it, but it's a camp.
It's a 600 square foot home.
It is seven minutes from thishouse that I'm sitting in now,
because my husband and Icommuted for 20 years and the
last thing we want to do when webuy a lake house is travel two
and a half to five hours, depending on New England traffic
on the weekends, to go to ourcamp house.
(10:24):
Absolutely not.
It is the next town over Okay, which is amazing, because then
everybody can come and hang outand stay and and we can have
play dates.
It's amazing.
I, 10 out of 10 recommend it.
I'm oversaturated in propertyin the in the direct vicinity.
That's okay.
So we buy this lake camp andit's the cutest, freaking house
(10:45):
that I've ever seen.
But the septic was failed Right.
So we had to do like a cashoffer on the house.
You know home equity line ofcredit, you know.
You know the jam we had.
It was the septic was failed.
It is down at the bottom of acliff.
The driveway only goes halfwaydown this cliff and it's gravel
(11:07):
and it's brutal and I will notdrive down it.
I will not drive down it.
It's treacherous.
So it's essentially a third ofan acre or quarter of an acre.
That goes at a very, very steepdecline down to the house.
When you get to the house, it'sflat on the property and the
house is right next to the water, so the house itself is the
dream.
However, there is a lot of workthat we need to do on this.
(11:29):
We need accessibility throughthe driveway.
We need a new septic.
The water pulls from the lake.
Yep, it's that old.
The lake water is very clean, but it pulls from the lake and
this house has not been touched.
I mean, it was a bachelor pad.
I think I've said this before.
It was a bachelor pad.
It had plywood sub floors.
(11:50):
There was no trim, like it's abachelor.
It was a man's fishing cabin,right, and so there's a lot of
work that needed to be done inthe house as well, including the
roof.
Okay, when we bought this housein the middle of COVID, we did
not have the money to do allthis stuff, but we were willing
(12:12):
to figure it out and, slowly butsurely, we started saving money
to do these major projects, these major freaking projects on
this house.
Okay, we were just about topull the trigger on a new septic
called called the local septicguy, got a, got a surveyor out
(12:36):
on the property, surveyed theproperty and then the wreck next
door gets sold.
And when I say the wreck nextdoor gets sold, it's a wreck.
It is a tear down, half of theroof is collapsing.
This cabin was built in the1930s and it is.
It is way beyond repair.
And so the house next door getssold.
(12:59):
They have a land survey donebecause now this guy that bought
the property wants to replacethe house and put in a VBRO
Fantastic, come stay next to meeverybody.
And so that was an invitation.
Carly, sorry, I had to, I hadto.
Carly's a projector, she waitsfor the invitation.
(13:21):
There, it was Carly.
And so she sorry, I'm sayingshe, let's see.
This is what happens when Itell stories.
I get so into the energy ofwhat happened that I lose track
of what I'm saying and thenyou're lost in the hubbub of me
trying to get back on track.
I'm sorry, I'm gonna take a sipof my coffee and we're gonna
reground and get back on track.
(13:43):
So they have a survey done sothat they can replace the house.
Their survey disagrees with oursurvey, not just a little.
They think the top half of ourproperty is actually the top
half of their property.
This is not a tiny little landlot argument, this is a we
wouldn't have access to ourhouse land argument.
(14:05):
So, needless to say, all plansget put on hold because if we
put in the new septic system, itwould be on the neighbor's
property line, in the neighbor'sproperty line if it's contested
.
So essentially, everythingcomes to a screeching halt.
My husband now has nightmaresabout the property line.
He cannot sleep at night.
Right, we are all freaking outbecause we just saved all this
(14:28):
money and we spent all of thismoney and we have a loan out and
it's just what.
This dream that we've had for10 years comes crashing down,
because now we can't do anythingon the house, because now we're
under litigation, right?
So it takes two years for thesurveyors to go back and forth
(14:49):
arguing and neither one of themwill budge.
And neither one of them willbudge because of some other
dynamics going on with otherlandlines on that same road
where we're at.
And because this is whereintuition comes in everybody.
This happened before I got intothis work, but I knew, I knew
(15:09):
when.
As soon as we got into thisland battle, I said we need to
find the most crotchety, oldschool, old man land surveyor we
can afford.
And so we did, because I knewthat old man love him.
He is so crotchety, he is sogrumpy and I'm like he is going
(15:29):
to be the one that the lawyertrusts.
I knew that, like he's going tobe the one that the judge
trusts.
I knew that from day one.
So we found the old crotchetylawyer that surveyed the
property way back in the early90s and we hired him to
essentially go to land courtwith us.
So he disagreed with this.
The guy, the surveyor next tous, who was the younger guy I
(15:54):
promise I'm getting to a pointand so we ended up in court
because the two would disagree.
Needless to say, it was backand forth in court for for about
a year or so.
I tried to settle.
Didn't work, didn't work.
So we end up in court.
We won, which was really cool, not only because we won, but
also because of the extensiveresearch the lawyer wanted and
of the extensive research thelawyer wanted.
And so the extensive research.
(16:14):
The lawyer went and gave us theentire history of our property,
which was so freaking cool.
I loved it way back to like the1920s, 19.
No, like 1910s which is cool,so over 100 years ago loved that
.
So once that went through and wewere like finally we ended up
saving enough money to pay forthe septic and a well, which was
awesome, and not only that, butto put the well in, we would
(16:37):
need to bring in tons and tonsand tons of dirt to be able to
put the well.
At the top of the property line, at the top of the hill, three
doors down, they're tearing downa house and they're building
out a basement and what do theyhave?
A lot of extra of Dirt.
Who's doing that property?
(16:58):
But the dad of a kid I coachedin Cub Scouts.
He is doing the construction onthis house.
He has a ton of extra dirt.
We are three houses away onthis house.
He has a ton of extra dirt.
We are three houses away.
We got all of that dirt forfree.
It was win-win because we gotfree dirt.
(17:19):
He didn't have to truck it out.
And so not only did that saveus a ton of money like when I'm
talking about divine timing, everything lined up perfectly.
Okay, the new roof we found outbecause we had just moved in, we
didn't know anybody.
But over the course of thethree years, we found out that
two doors down the other way, that guy owns a metal roofing
(17:39):
company.
He gave us our new roof at cost, plus $500 for installation.
Right, how much money did Isave there?
Right, because I, because wetalked to the neighbor and we
got to know people.
Right, and we had a metal roof.
It's going to last 50 years.
I'm so excited about that.
Okay, the guy that's doing theseptic.
He agreed to do the drivewayand include it in the price.
(18:02):
Done, got the dirt from theneighbor, which was freaking
amazing Well company.
Pain in my butt, but it wasgood.
We got a good well company.
That was done.
And not only that.
The guy who gave us the dirtnow says hey, do you need the
driveway paved?
I'll pave it for you.
And he's giving us a massivedeal on that.
Right, and so this is what I'mtalking about divine timing.
(18:23):
If we did everything at oncewhen we purchased the house, not
only did we not have money, butit probably would have cost
three times the price of what wepaid.
And because we waited untilafter this property line dispute
was resolved in the court which, by the way, best thing ever to
go to a property line thing, especially if you have lake
property, because no one canever contest that land anymore.
(18:45):
It is written in the in thecourt records.
No one can ever contest that.
I never have to go to court forthat property again.
So that is a huge, freaking win, huge win.
I can't even those of you thathave property near water, you
know everyone fights for everysingle inch and now we have it
in the court records.
No one can ever contest it.
It's like the biggest win ofall.
That is the biggest win of all.
(19:09):
But all of this stuff not onlywas cheaper, but everything fell
into place in terms of timing, because we got once.
We won the.
The roof was ready to be done, the septic guy placed it in like
we.
We won this court battle in thefall and by the spring
everything's done Like and it'sthe off season, how?
(19:29):
And then like, the septic guywas there at the same time as
the well guy who was there atthe same time as like,
everything lined up perfectly.
And so this is what I'm talkingabout with divine timing and I
talked to my husband about this.
All he can't believe, once itwas the right time to do this,
how smoothly everything went.
Everything just happened likeall of this stuff happened in a
(19:51):
matter of weeks.
I mean weeks of each other.
It was smooth, it was easy, itwas cost, efficient, right, like
so it was all these things.
And if we pushed early on toget all this stuff done, it
would have been expensive, itwould have been stop and start,
like it would, it would not haveflowed as easily as it was.
(20:13):
So I hope this very long andannoying story I'm sorry was a
really good example for youabout divine timing and how you
just need to let, let it go.
If there is resistance going on, there is a reason for that
resistance and it's time to like, almost like, let, let go and
let.
Spirit is the how I like to sayit.
Let them figure it out for you.
And so whenever I'm strugglingwith something especially like,
for example, technology or otherthings, I will literally step
(20:36):
back and be like okay, what am Isupposed to do then?
And I trust that whateverspirit has for me and whatever
is coming my way is exactly whatis supposed to come my way at
the exact right timing.
And just to reflect on myclient no, no, no, oh, goodness
on my client.
No, no, no, oh goodness, um,just to reflect on, like, the
(20:56):
power of that, the power ofspirit.
It's just if they can show upand give you amazing signs and
amazing messages and give youthese things like why can't, why
can't you trust them thatthey're doing exactly what you
need in the exact right timeframe?
(21:18):
And just because it's not yourtime frame doesn't mean that
it's wrong.
So think about that.
Hang on, I need to really bringthis down and like land this
for all of you.
And so when I am chatting withspirit about my personal journey
and this is a tip for all ofyou I go where it flows and I
(21:42):
tell you all this all the timein your one on one sessions and
your mentee, mentee sessions.
I, you need to follow the joy, follow the excitement and just
let it flow.
And if there's not joy, ifthere's not excitement, if
there's not resistance, itdoesn't mean it's wrong, but
it's not where you're supposedto be right now.
And so whenever I face thatresistance or whenever I'm
frustrated, I literally leave itup to spirit and I say show me
(22:05):
the way.
If I'm supposed to do this, bring me a sign.
If I'm supposed to do this, howdoes it feel like?
Let me see how it feels in mybody.
Let my intuition guide me,because there's nothing worse
than punishing yourself fortimelines that are in your head
that aren't realistic, right, and punishing yourself for what
you think you should be doingand whenever you hear should.
(22:25):
That's your ego, and beatingyourself up for what you think
you should be doing when, inactuality, what you should be
doing is resting and letting theuniverse do the work for you.
And I like, as somebody whocomes from project management,
who five years ago I would havelooked at this podcast and
called my bullshit said bullshitlike no way.
(22:46):
It's not true.
If you want it, you have to workfor it.
I think there's an aspect ofthat.
But you have to allow the righttiming.
You have to allow things tohappen at the right time,
because by the time you become aspiritual guru as I'm sure most
of you already are and or areon your path to doing it you
(23:08):
have to understand that you, youdon't might not have all the
tools yet, you might not havelearned all the lessons yet, and
the things that you're goingthrough are the in the things
that you're going to learn arethe exact things that you're
going to help your clients with.
Help.
Your use tools to help clientswith right and and so being open
to not only the destination butalso the journey to get you
(23:29):
there is what's going to makeyou a freaking powerhouse that
is unstoppable in what you do.
So that's it.
I'm asking you to trust yourdivine timing, trust that the
universe has your back and trustthat, when it's supposed to
show up, it will show up for youperfectly on time and perfectly
(23:54):
in the way that you're supposedto receive it.
And since it's 11, 11 am, Ifind it very ironic.
I'm going to drop this podcast.
I'm going to end it.
So thank you so much.
If you have questions, concerns, frustrations about divine
timing, you're not alone.
Send it my way.
Podcast at medium Nicole dotcom, and I wish you the most
wonderful day from my soul toyours.
(24:15):
Take care.
