This past week, Representative Anne Dauphinais, spoke on the house floor. When she read from a book that is allowed in school libraries, she was cut off by the House Speaker because the words she used were inappropriate. That was her point. If it isn't acceptable for a room full of adults, then how is it appropriate for children? I discuss what Representative Dauphinais said, excerpts from some of these books, describe the illustrations and give my usual, colorful commentary on the subject. Enjoy.
