Gary Moloney dropped out of school before his exams he returned to school at 23. He has almost a decade of experience in the gambling industry most recently as a senior executive at BET99 — he is going to be traveling across Ireland and the US giving talks on how the gambling industry operates and gambling addiction. He has seen people lose so much money, but won't admit that they have an addiction until they lose every penny. In Ireland he says they have much more help for people suffering from gambling addiction because it has been more assessable through apps for much longer. He says here in Canada it's just beginning with the apps, and we need to adapt to this. We need to start talking about gambling addiction more so we can start helping those who are suffering from it. It's not just the gambler that is affected its their families to, if they lose everything so does there family. That's why this addiction is hidden until they do lose everything and many lives become ruined. It's so easy to fall into the trap and Gary wants to bring more awareness to this addiction. He wants to help people notice the signs of a problem gambler so that they can try to get them help before there family ends up in ruins. I commend him on speaking out on this subject because it is the silent addiction, that can really end badly for so many people.

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
