Hey, hey, hey, my friends!Welcome back to the Faithly

(00:46):
Confident Podcast, where you areready to sell boldly, lead
confidently, and build akingdom-led business with God at
the center.
I'm your host, Courtney Berry, your Christian confidence coach.
And today we're diving intosomething that's been really
heavy on my heart.
And that is you can't play smalland expect God-sized results.

(01:09):
Let me say that again.
You can't play small and expectGod-sized results.
If God called you to it, he willsustain you through it.
But you need to put in the work.
And in this episode, we're goingto unpack what that means for
you as a Christian entrepreneur, especially when fear or

(01:30):
uncertainty tries to hold youback.
So if you are ready, let's takea moment and let's pray.
Father, I thank you for everyperson listening today.
For the business owner, thedreamer, the visionary, you've
called to build something thatcarries that impact within us.

(01:51):
Lord, remind us that we are thelight of the world, a city on a
hill that cannot be hidden.
So today I pray against everylie that's told your sons and
daughters that they're notenough, not ready, or not
capable.
Oh, those lies that we tellourselves, Lord, remove them.
You don't call the qualified, you qualify the called.

(02:14):
Give us boldness today, Father.
Boldness to speak about ouroffers, boldness to show up even
when we don't feel ready.
Boldness to trust that you willsustain what we've started, what
you've started, Lord.
Remind us that selling isn'tselfish.
It's a service when it's donewith you at the center.

(02:35):
Let this episode reignite a holyconfidence in every listener to
step forward in obedience andboldness.
In Jesus' name.
Amen.
You know what's stopping most ofus from that success?
Fear of rejection.
Fear of rejection is oftenmasking that fear of success.

(03:00):
And many of us, we're afraid ofrejection.
I know I was, and I knowsometimes I still am.
It creeps up every so often, ifI'm being totally honest.
But if we're honest, we're alsoafraid of success.
It's not just the rejection,it's success because it's that
uncertainty of what's gonnahappen.
Success comes with thatvisibility.

(03:21):
It comes with responsibility, and it comes with a lot of
change.
But here's the truth if Godcalled you to it, he's already
equipped you for it.
You are ready.
You just need to mentallyprepare for it and be okay with
being obedient and stepping intothat role and having that
visibility, having thatresponsibility and having that

(03:43):
change.
You don't have to fear thegrowth that comes with
obedience.
You just have to trust that thesame God gave you the vision is
going to give you the capacityto carry all of that.
You are capable.
And it's time that you let go ofthat fear of rejection and just
show up as that big bold versionof you that God created and to

(04:07):
step out of that fear of successand be okay with being visible,
being okay with having thatresponsibility, and being okay
with change.
Because again, he gave you thatvision, he called you to it, and
he's already equipped it,equipped you for it.
He's just waiting for you to beobedient and to be ready.

(04:27):
It's not that you haven't hadthe ability to meet that success
that you want.
It's that you you're you'restepping into the kiddie pool
when he wants you out into thebig ocean.
You are literally dipping yourtoes into a little kiddie pool
and going, why am I notsuccessful yet?
Why are the clients not comingto me?
Why, why, why, why, why, why?

(04:48):
When God's going, just jump intothat deep end, jump into the
ocean.
I'm ready, I will catch you,I've called you, I've equipped
you, but you need to be willingto take that big scary step and
be obedient.
They never said being successfulwas, you know, a straight road.
Like it's it's up and down, it'sa roller coaster, but he's going
to catch you along the way.

(05:09):
So again, with that, you know, being with that success, there
is selling.
You have to sell in order to besuccessful, in order to meet
that purpose that God has foryou.
So with having an offer, youhave to sell.
And a lot of us step back assoon as it comes to selling

(05:33):
because we don't want to besalesy.
But in order to be obedient, wehave to sell.
Here's the truth, you guys.
You have to sell as a businessowner.
No matter what business youhave, you're going to be
selling.
So when your offer is somethingyou've built with that prayer
and intention, I will remind youright now, you're not being

(05:56):
salesy, you're being obedientbecause God placed that offer in
your hands and went, here yougo.
You are the person that I wantto sell this.
You are the answer to someone'sprayer.
There is someone out there thatis praying for this very thing
that you've created.
And when you hide your offer, you're not being humble.
You're withholding a blessingthat someone's been praying for.

(06:18):
You are literally the answer tosomeone else's prayer, and you
are hiding it because you'rescared of being salesy, you're
afraid of that success, you'reafraid of being seen, but you
need to be visible.
You have to be okay with beingvisible.
It is okay to be seen.
It is okay to be seen.
It might be scary at first, butwhen you step out, I assure you

(06:42):
that God is going to catch you.
And selling selling becomes itbecomes basically a sacred thing
when your motive is service andyour message, your message and
how you lead thoseconversations.
And that is something I teach inmy confidence sales academy, is
just being led by God and beingobedient with the sales process.

(07:05):
Your message is led by the HolySpirit.
He is with you every step of theway.
So another thing is just I wantto share a little bit about just
being bold.
Because a lot of people think, like, oh, well, I can't sell
this because who am I to sellthis?
Because, you know, you're you'reafraid of being that big person

(07:26):
who's capable of getting thoseresults for other people because
you don't know if you can getthose results.
God again, God placed thisdesire on your heart for a
reason.
So stop stepping out in fear andstep out in obedience, step out
in bold confidence.
Boldness isn't arrogance, it'sbeing obedient and trusting in

(07:47):
who sent you to this mission.
This, like, this is yourservice, this is your ministry,
your business is your ministry.
This podcast is my ministry.
Sometimes I don't want to do it.
Sometimes I'm like, who wants tolisten to me?
Who wants to listen to me talk?
Like, but we are currently top3% globally.

(08:09):
So obviously, people want tolisten to what I have to say.
And if you look read thereviews, which if you haven't
left a review, oh my goodness,I'd be so grateful if you left
one on iTunes.
My goal is to hit 100 this year,so we'll see if we get there.
But David faced Goliath, notbecause he was fearless, he was

(08:30):
probably afraid, but he knew whowas backing him.
He knew that God put him in thatposition.
He knew that God would not lethim down.
He knew his purpose right thenand there was to face that
Goliath.
And he went out with aslingshot.

(08:50):
A slingshot, you guys.
A big giant Goliath.
And he comes out with aslingshot and defeats him.
The same is true for you.
You can't play small and expectGod to move big.
You can't put your feet into thekiddie pool.
You have to step into the bigwide ocean.
You have to go to the deep end.

(09:11):
You have to put yourself outthere because that is when God
is going to start moving thingsin your life, is when you are
willing to get uncomfortable, when you are willing to step out
in that fear and know that faithrequires movement.
It doesn't require perfection.
It just requires movement.
It doesn't require proof, justrequires movement and obedience.

(09:38):
So maybe you've been waiting forthe perfect timing.
Maybe you've been playing small, hoping that someone else would
validate what God's alreadyconfirmed in you.
But your obedience, my friend,is the key that unlocks God's
next step for you.
You don't need to see the wholestaircase.
You just need to take the nextstep.

(10:01):
You don't need to see the wholepicture.
You just need to take the nextstep.
Your business isn't aboutbuilding your name, it's about
building his kingdom.
And that means you can moveforward with peace.
Knowing that you are like thecreator of the universe is

(10:24):
building this business with you.
He is with you.
And when you have that peace inyour heart and know that he is
with you every step of the way,he's equipped you, he is
qualified, and you can do this.
You're you're just as capable asI am.
You're just as capable as yourbusiness owner next door to you,
or Susie or Sally, or whoever.
Why do I always say Susie andSally?

(10:46):
I don't know.
But stop shrinking back.
You were made to shine his lightin what you do.
Let everybody know that yourbusiness was built through faith
and obedience and that God isthe center of your business.
God is the CEO of what you do.
So, ending this episode, iftoday's message stirred

something in you, if you'reready to stop playing small and

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
