Are you tired today? Feeling off, overwhelmed, or like you’re running on an empty tank but still wanting to show up for what God’s called you to do?

This episode is your reminder that obedience doesn’t require perfection, high energy, or a flawless mindset. Sometimes, it’s simply saying, “Lord, here’s what I have today… use it.”

In this short but powerful conversation, we talk about:
 • What it looks like to be faithful on the days you feel worn out
 • How to stop striving and start surrendering
 • Why God honors your consistency even when you’re not at your best
 • A gentle mindset shift that brings peace on your low-energy days

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, weary, or disconnected this episode will breathe relief back into your spirit.

Hi, hi, hi! Welcome to the Faithfully Confident Podcast

That's me.
This podcast was created forthose of you who got called to
become entrepreneurs and youdesire the confidence, pursue a
business.

things faith, confidence, marketing, and sales, you are in

(00:25):

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Have you ever had one of those days where you're just
tired, your mind's foggy, yourenergy's gone, and the last
thing you feel like doing isshowing up for your business.
But deep down you know God'scalled you to it, and you still
want to be faithful, even whenit feels hard and you really

(01:03):
don't want to be doing it.
If that's you today, like it isme, this episode is your
reminder that obedience doesn'talways look like high energy or
perfect performance.
Sometimes it's simply justsaying, God, I don't have much
to give today, but I'm givingyou what I've got, and just

(01:27):
showing up.
So this is me showing up foryou today and recording this
podcast.
So if you are ready, let'spray.
Father, I thank you for everylistener tuning in today,
especially the ones who areweary, the ones who've been
pouring out and just feel emptyand just don't feel whole today.

(01:51):
Father, remind us that younever asked us to do this alone.
You strengthen the tired Lord, you lift the weary up, and you
meet us right in the middle ofour mess.
Help us show up today, not outof striving, but out of complete
surrender.

(02:12):
Father, may every word of thisepisode bring peace, bring
clarity, and just a gentlereminder that faithfulness is
enough.
Surrendering is enough.
Just showing up and being thereis enough.
Our best is enough.
And that is what we are givingtoday.

(02:34):
So in this I pray, Amen.
And just not the usual, youknow, woo, like I am.

(05:10):
And I feel like I always showup like that on this podcast.
So today I feel tired, I feeloverwhelmed, I feel distracted,
I feel just off, just off if I'mbeing honest.
But as I sat with God in thosemoments, he reminded me of this.
Sometimes the most powerfulthing that you can do is just

(05:35):
show up honestly, show upauthentically, not perfectly,
not perfectly polished, but justshow up because we are all
human beings.
We all deal with these emotionsand we don't always show it.
We always hide that side of ourlife, that side of our

(05:56):
business, because we want toshow up perfect.
We want to show up as thatprofessional, and we're not all
like that every single day.
So God was like, No, you'regonna show up today.
You just need to be authentic,be real, be you, and just show
up.
Not perfectly polished, notsuper highly energetic, but just

(06:18):
show up and speak what you feelled to speak about today.
And that is that we're justshowing up today, and that our
best is enough.
So the truth is consistencydoesn't mean that we're never
resting, we're never struggling,or never feeling that, you
know, off feeling.

(06:39):
Consistency is choosingobedience even when we feel
weak, even when we feel tired, and God is always gonna lift us
up, but he still needs us toshow up if he's gonna continue
to lift us up.
We have to show up.
We don't always feel like it.
Like you, if you're working anine to five job, you can't just
call into work and go, you knowwhat?

(07:00):
I'm just I'm feeling a littleoff today.
I don't feel like myself.
You know what?
I'm just gonna stay home todayand I'm just not gonna come into
work today.
If you did that, you'd probablybe fired.
Like, do show up for yourbusiness like you would show up
at your near nine to five job.
This is your ministry, this isyour business.

(07:23):
So show up even through thatweakness, even through that
being exhausted and tired, andwho's gonna want to listen to me
kind of my mentality, which istotally where I'm at today.
But I know that this is gonnabe probably one of the most
relatable episodes if I've everrecorded.
But here's the encouragement inthis episode today is God

(07:49):
doesn't need your performance,he doesn't need that perfection,
he just needs to partner withyou, he wants that partnership,
he wants to be be there for you,he wants to run this business
with you, he wants to be theCEO.
And when you show up and yousay, God, this isn't my best,

(08:09):
I'm not at my best today, butit's yours.
So let's do this.
You're you're offering himsomething powerful, and that is
your dependence, that's yourobedience, that's your
surrendering it to him and justshowing up, and what happens,
happens.
You showed up, and that'simportant.

(08:29):
That is the most powerful thingyou can do today is showing up
in obedience through all ofthose gross feelings that the
enemy is giving to us.
That feeling of weakness, thatfeeling of I'm not enough today,
or I'm not good enough today,or I'm too tired today, all of
those feelings that you have arenot from God.

(08:50):
God will lift us up when we aretired and weak.
He will be there for us, but weneed to show up and we need to
surrender.
And I've learned that some ofmy most powerful messages,
posts, and just salesconversations, the even showing
up for a training.

(09:10):
I've I've recordedmasterclasses when I felt like
this, and those were the mostsuccessful ones.
It's those moments where I feltempty, but I still showed up
because I wasn't relying on meanymore.
I was relying on him, and Iliterally feel like crying
through this because it's just Ifeel like this is such a
powerful message today.

(09:31):
So again, show up.
So if you're listening todayand you're tired, just take that
breath.
You don't have to have it alltogether to be faithful, you
don't have to sound perfectlypolished to be obedient.
You just literally have to takeone step at a time, be led by

(09:53):
his spirit and not by thosefeelings.
Those feelings of just those, those yucky feelings of I just
I'm not even gonna go into that.
But all those feelings thatwe're experiencing today,
they're not from God, they arefrom the enemy.
You don't need to feel thatoverwhelmed, just be grateful.

(10:16):
You don't need to feel stressedout, be grateful, just show up
by the Spirit of God and justshow up with those amazing
feelings that we we have, wejust need to access them.
But I also want you to rememberthat rest is also not quitting,
it's not giving up.
Rest is preparation for what'snext.

(10:38):
So just be aware of when youneed that rest and when you're
just not showing up becausethere's a difference between
those two.
So if God's telling you to slowdown, then slow down.
If he's asking you to show upquietly instead of loudly, then
show up.
But faithfulness looksdifferent in every single

(10:58):
season, and his favor is goingto flow through both of those.
So my encouragement today isgive yourself grace.
Maybe showing up looks likesending one message today.
Maybe it's praying over yourbusiness, or maybe it's just
resting in his presence.
But whatever it looks like, Godis seeing your obedience and

(11:23):
he's so proud of you fortrusting him within it.
So if this episode encouragedyou, I would love for you to
share it with another Christianentrepreneur who might be
feeling the same way.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
