The ‘Summer Encore’ series of Fearless returns with another one of my favorite episodes – talking about how a fearless faith begins with fear.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand that a fearless and sustaining faith can only come when we fear God. But what does it mean to fear?

In the simplest terms, it means that we take God seriously. We respect Him, we obey Him, we submit to His discipline and we worship Him in awe.

And there is a blessing and peace that comes when we fear the Lord.

Proverbs 9:10 tells us that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Join me on this episode of Fearless as we talk more about my concerns for the Church and what it means to have a faith centered on a foundational understanding that our God is a Holy God who deserves our love, honor, respect and, yes, even our fear.
