TRUE CRIME LA with a PSYCHIC

Premise: 

Righto, so here’s how it goes: I take David who’s a psychic and medium to notoriously haunted places or places that are big in the LA true crime world. And I don’t tell David anything! We just see what he feels then I slowly share with him the details of each location. This is our third true crime episode. So if you love this one be sure to check the others out!

Now, in this episode we visited 4 locations, a couple widely known for their dark history others may be a little less known but just as interesting. So strap in my friends and enjoy this true crime tour of LA. 

Before we kick off, I do want to pop a trigger warning here, there’s 2 locations we visit where there has been suicides.

LOCATION 1: BLACK DAHLIA MURDER HOUSE

Righto, this is where its suspected that Elizabeth Short aka The Black Daliah a 22 year old Hollywood Hopeful was brutally murdered in January of 1947. Her body was cut in half and drained of all its blood and a smile had been cut into her face. The house from the outside looks really cool. It's designed by Lloyd Wright and today is valued at about 4.8 million dollars (USD). 

LOCATION 2: THE CECIL HOTEL 

Ok this was hands down the spookiest location, over the years there's been over 30 deaths in this one location. And you'll hear that David and I were feeling a tad uneasy for the entire recording here, its fair to say the energy is intense. 

Over the years; The Cecil Hotel has been home to not one, but two notorious serial killers, yes you read that correctly, the most famous being the Night Stalker Richard Ramirez who was't caught til 1985 and he's been convicted of 13 brutal murders, but it's believed there was more. 

More recently there was the tragic story of Elisa Lam who's body was found in one of the water tanks on the roof in 2013 and theres really scary foot age of her in the elevator you can find on redit and tiktok. It's sfae to say, this place had a lot of dark energy around it!

LOCATION 3: THE BEVERLY CENTRE 

This location came as a surprise to not only David but anyone i told that we were recording here. For those of your not familiar with LA its a shopping centre. It used to be an amusement park in the 40's and lots of strange happenings have been reported. 

We were able to enter this location and record from inside the Beverly Centre. 

Tigger warning; this is a location where people have taken their own lives. 

LOCATION 4: CULVER STUDIOS

This one is for all the Old Hollywood fans, it's beloved that the ghost of Thomas Ince can ben seen and felt at the still functioning iconic Culver Studios. The where Gone with the Wind and Raging Bull were created and filmed. 

There's a couple of theories around the death of Thomas Ince and his death being a cover up. I'll let you decide.

This is the third installment of True Chrime La. So
we've done two others where we've gone to Charles Manson sites,

We've gone to the location of the Hillside Stranglers. That
one was really scary because it's still a mechanic place
now was like, anyway, look up the Hillside Strangers of
Beking or I'm going to have in the show notes

you a little lay of the land and a little
premise of how this goes is David is a medium
and psychic, right. I know you know that because he's
super famous and everyone loves him and for good reason. David,
you're amazing. But here's what we do. I take David around.
I literally pick him up in this case, pick him
up early in the morning in Los Angeles, and he
knows nothing other than I'm like, Okay, we're driving to

Lost Feelers, Okay, we're driving to downtown. Okay, we're driving
to Cuover City. Okay, we're driving to Beverly Hills. Like literally,
he doesn't know anything until we get to the location.
I see what he feels and what comes to him
while we're in said location, and then I'll feed him
or like essentially tell him what's happened, and he'll dissect

what I'm saying and be like yep, nah, yeah. It's
so fascinating. Some of the locations were able to actually
physically get out and enter or go to that location.
Others you'll hear today weren't super safe to do that,
a little bit of a trigger warning. We went to
one location where there have been We went to the

(02:16):
Cecil Hotel and there have been not only murders there,
and not only or there's been a murder there and
two serial killers live there. There's also been some suicide death. Says,
So I do want to just be give a trigger warning.
There's also notes in the show notes. There is the

(02:36):
helplines for both America and Australia because that's where the
audience you guys are from. So I'm just going to
give you a lay of the land. It's going to
go in chronological order. So the first place that we
visited is the supposed murder location of the Black Dahlia murder. Now,
movies have been made about this. Ryan Murphy's done an

(02:58):
American horror story all around this. The murder house was
owned by this really sus kind of fellow called George Hodell,
and the murderer of the Black Lallia. The Black Dahlia
or Elizabeth short, was super super gruesome because her body
was cut in half and all the blood was drained

(03:20):
out of her body and like certain bits of skin
were removed, but super surgically, and it's just very very
very very fascinating. The house that we went to was
one of the famous Lloyd Wright houses, and so it's
got this really really interesting style. There's a few of
them around LA. I've seen three of these houses around La,
but this one was owned by this guy that supposedly

(03:44):
this is a cold case, but he is the person
that is most suspected to have taken the life of
Elizabeth Short back in nineteen forty seven. So this was
considered the most notorious murder in LA history. So that's
the first location that we go to. We are able
to walk around to the back lane of the house

(04:07):
as well, so super super fascinating. Then we went to
and you won't hear this on the mic, so I
want to tell it to you. Now we go to
We went to Sorry the Cecil, the hotel in downtown
Los Angeles. Now it's probably like there are documentaries about this,
there are podcasts about this again American horror story that

(04:32):
some of that's been set here. It is infamous for
the dark energy, paranormal activity. I think there's been some
something like thirty deaths in this location since it was
built in nineteen twenty four. But here's the thing that
you don't get on audio, and I want to explain

(04:54):
it to you here. So when I picked David up,
I picked him up in my Hollywood and he's like,
where are we going? First? I go, We're going a
lost Pheelers. First, he goes cool and I used to
live in Los Feelers And he's like, oh, that's your
old neck of the woods and I was like, yep,
that's true. So like literally he doesn't know anything about
the specifics of where we go. And then I was like,
we're going downtown. He goes, We're going to the Cecil Hotel,

(05:16):
aren't we? And I go, what, how do you know?
He goes, I just saw it, so you don't hear
that on audio, but I'm telling you that he's exactly
what happened. And then I was like, then we're coming
back this way, like we's Hollywood Beverly Hills way and
he's like, oh really, and I go and then more
end in Culver City and he's like Culver City and
I'm like yeah, So, just so you know, that is
literally all the info that David gets before we sit

(05:38):
down and record. So I mentioned that trigger warning around suicide.
The Cecil Hotel is where that you can feel the
heaviness of that. We mention it in that part of
the chat. So that's the second location we go to.
So it is arguably the eeriest part of this chat
and maybe the spookiest location I would say we go to.

(06:00):
The energy is really dark and heavy and you can
feel it just like we didn't even feel soper safe
in our car at the front. So if you or
are adult triggered, that would be the bit that I
would recommend skipping. But if you were fascinated by paranormal
activity and spooky stuff, it is a very spooky part
of this chat. Then from the Cescil Hotel, we only

(06:24):
spent about fifteen minutes there and David was feeling physically
sick by the end of it. And again I don't
know if we got this on audio, but basically the
Cescil to get there, you've got to drive down I
believe it's East seventh Street, And as we were driving
into downtown, so it goes like first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh,
and as soon as we hit third Street, David's like,

(06:45):
my stomach just dropped. As we were getting close to
the location, and the location is literally like a block
and a half away from skid Row, so there's a
lot of just really intense energy around there. And then
as we drove out, I reckon after five minutes of
driving out of downtown, like just getting because when you
exit Downtown you get onto the Harbor Freeway, and as

(07:07):
we just started to enter the Harbor Freeway. David's like,
I feel better, and you could feel a lightness and
an ease. And then we went to the Beverly Center,
loads of really haunting kind of stories, really interesting history
that used to be at amusement Park there. Before that,
it was like the Salt Lake oil field again at

(07:30):
Trigger Warning, there's a mention of suicide there. This isn't
as dark as cecil though. Just to give you, I'm
trying to give you a little bit of a heads
up so you don't feel like you're going into any
of this blind, because this something like I could just
feel it when David got in the car. We've recorded
a lot of episodes together now, so there's like a
shorthand between us and we can feel each other like

(07:52):
and understand each other really well. And I said to him, oh,
you're on. I can feel your run straight away and
it yeah, I don't know as well. Maybe we're getting
so comfy. This is the sixth time we've done a
podcast together, and the third true crime one of this
elk and of this nature and this genre and format.
So after the Beverly Center, we went and ended on

(08:15):
an old Hollywood tale that happened at the Culber Studios,
which is like famous for where they shot Gone with
the Wind and Raging Bull, and I think, but I
have to fact check this the Wizard of Oz. So
that's the premise. It's full locations. It took. I picked

(08:36):
David up at about seven forty five am and we
ended recording at about two quarter to two, and then
my car broke down after we'd finished all the recording.
How crazy is that? The battery just died wild? And
then I and this is a side night that I
had an acting audition to get to, so I had
to like quickly we both Ubert home or he Ubert

(08:58):
to his hotel. I Hubert home, quickly showered, got changed
into like the outfit I had to wear for the audition,
Ubert into the acting audition, and then Uber back to
the car or truck. And then I met my friend
who saved the day and put a temporary battery in
and then I had to go to like an auto park,

(09:18):
an auto car place and get the batter change. It
was a it was a well wind of an LA day.
I will say, but if you're into true crime, this
episode is for you. If you're into like the history
of Hollywood, like a lot of people say that Hollywood
in LA is quite haunted and dark and whatnot, and
there's a lot of paranormal activity, and so then this

(09:40):
episode is for you. So I've got a few friends
that are psychic and a few friends that are into
this kind of like spookier stuff. I actually reckon my
mate Candas is going to love this because she's a
crime fiction author. Anyway, enjoy this episode. I hope you

but I just wanted to give you a real heads
up so that you felt really clear navigating this episode.

The really heavy part is Location two, the Cecil Hotel.
It's also arguably the spookiest and scariest bit, and like
I had goosebumps the whole time we were out the
front of that location. It was so fascinating to be there.

He was only in La for two days and literally
this took up a whole day of his time, and
he's just such a sweet, sweet soul. Also one really
cool thing and this is how we start the pod.
He teaches us how to protect our souls from energies,
and I felt safe the entire time with David. Even
though we were in like experiences that felt energetically full on,

I still felt very safe with David. So have a
little listen, especially at the start around that protection thing,
because he says you can use it like before you
go to work or you know, like if you're going
into environment with lots of people and he's like, it
takes one second. All you got to do is this thing.

Well, going on past experiences, what we've done previously is
you take me to some incredible locals around La, the morbid,
the historical, the haunted. But this is true crime La. Yeah,
and you take me to these locations and she doesn't
guys for everyone listening, she doesn't tell me where we're going.
I know ahead of time, and we go to these

(12:14):
locations and we talk about it and I tune in
to see what I feel if anything goes on. But
here we are third time.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I know. It's so exciting, and can we just share.
When you got in the car today, yeah, I was like, okay,
we're going to start in lost Feelers. Am I going downtown?
Then we going to conversee there, we're going West Hollywood
and you were like can you say what you said? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:36):
When you said downtown, I was like, please tell me
it's a Cecil Hotel, which is true. That is our
next location. I'm so excited now Lola, there is a
lot of locations in downtown we probably.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Could have gone to. Given that you've got a whole downtown.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Day, we could spend the whole week talking about the
downtown locations. But I am so excited to be going
to the Cecil Hotel.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
So if anyone's listened to my Friday Diary podcast of
when this was all being recorded, I literally said I've
been researching it, but only during the day because I
get so like it gives me the hebgb's And I
said on my pod diary, I bet you where there's
been over thirty deaths, Like David is going to ask

(13:16):
to go in? I bet you, I bet you. And
first thing you say, as soon as that, you're like,
can we go in?

Oh, Director, we can go in?

Yeah.

But the Sesso Hotel is such an infamous, notorious location
in La Like, it's a very famous spot.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Right, I don't know how we haven't done it sooner,
to be honest.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Well, because downtown's really scary. Yeah yet, guys, so stay tuned.

We might know.

Speaker 2 (13:38):

We'll be fine. Well, this is what I want to
ask you when we're entering these spaces where horrific stuff
has happened. How can we and you the listener, like,
if you're going somewhere that just feels a bit energetically
off or gives you the hebgb's, how can we protect ourselves? Like,
is there something that we can do, you know, to
not get hooked by an entity?

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Well, that's it. It's all about setting an intention. And
I find when we go to locations where maybe negative
stuff has happened, I mean it does set you know,
the energy doesn't necessarily clearing the spots, so a lot
of it can still be hanging around. But even for
those of us that feel tired when we go out
into public sometimes it can be very zapping and draining.
Just imagine yourself and you know, I'm going to do
it today and I will do this with Lola today

(14:23):
as well. But imagine yourself in a glowing, hot white bubble, hot,
like as bright as the sun glowing, and you feel
warm from it. But all you have to do is
imagine you like that surrounding you, like a foresield or
like an egg for just one second really, and that
sets the intention that whilst you're going into the public
space or whilst you're going to negative areas or energy

(14:46):
that can be very dense, that it's setting the intention
that it's not allowing itself to attract or attached to
you are so interesting or to interfere with you negatively,
oh so interesting? And you can do that just day today,
Like I Sai said, if we're going out into public,
some of us get very.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
I am I'm actually an introvert. No one believes me,
are you?

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I don't we just mask? Well?

What is that?

What it is?

We've got careers and you know, social journeys where we
have to be a little bit more. Yeah, ext but God,
give me a night on the counch any.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Day, same same, same, same so for today. And sorry
to get into the nuances of this, but do we
need to do that protection thing? Like do we just
envision it right now or do we do it at
each location? If we're entering a location, like right now,
we're sitting in my car out the front of our
first location. I feel this feels quite safe to me,

(15:45):
Like I don't know, neither do I. And we're going
to go around the back lane after this. We're going
to just have another squeiz. But do you want to
know about. Do you want to learn about this alleged place?

Speaker 2 (15:58):
So tell me for the listener and for day the medium, Lola,
where are we? So we're to five to one two
one Franklin Avenue in Los Fellers. What happened here?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
This is the it's said to be the location of
the infamous Black Dahlia murder. Have you heard of this?

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Yeah? Black Dahlia was also in the American Horror Cross
also a location in the Cecil Hotel.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yes it is, Yes, So I believe they've filled film
stuff here. They've filmed a movie in here literally called
the Black Dahlia. All about this, it's a seventy year
cold case. What is so eerie about this is so
the girl's name. So, her name is Elizabeth Short, twenty
two years old. This happened in nineteen forty seven. Her

(16:44):
body was found on January fifteenth, but she was last
seen January ninth at our at two locations where we're
going after this Cecil and the Baltimore also downtown. So
you might feel more about this murder there because that
was the last place that she was spotted. But what's

(17:05):
really crazy about it is a really like high up
there in Hollywood doctor lived here and had these infamous parties.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, American Horror Story.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
This was his house. Guys, you have to google this location.
Isn't it beautiful? So it's it's been designed by I
believe this guy, Like it's a famous designer here called Lloyd.
I've got a written down here somewe and it it'll
pop out to me. I've got so many notes. But basically,
what's so fascinating about this murder? It's super grizzly. So
whoever murdered Elizabeth cut her body in half and drained

(17:43):
all the blood, very similar to how it's depicted in
American Horror Story. Yeah, so they and like a smile
had been drawn like Joker stylely like cut from ear
to ear, and then little chunks of her flesh were
cut out as well, almost like artistic kind of vibes,

(18:06):
as morbid as that sounds. And this doctor was obsessed
with this artist called man Ray, who drew bodies kind
of not dissected, almost like imagine robotically dissected. Like it
didn't look gruesome. It looked more yeah, like kind of
avant garde, like really left a field kind of vibes.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Oh I like that. I like that. So where where
the Black Dolly was actually found was in this part
called the I'm probably saying Limerick Park and this lady
called Betty Bursinger same exact same as the show you
saw the American Horror story was like literally walking along

(18:47):
with a kidne stroller off to a shoe repair appointment
and found the body. But what she said was so
crazy about it was the body was like white, yeah,
and to the point that she thought it was a mannequm.
So the interesting thing about all of this is that

(19:08):
the person that did the murder has to have had
surgical skills because the cutting and the like the way
the body was dissected in half. Someone had to know
what they were doing. It wasn't like brutal like Slasher,
like the night Stalker vibes, do you know what I mean?
So that's why this guy comes up in every Google search.

(19:29):
His name is George Hodell. His son is a detective
and was like, I figured out same handwriting like the son.
His son was literally like who grew up in this house? YEA,
was like my dad did it?

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Really?

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Yeah? And there's a lot that's come out about this guy,
like sexually assaulting his daughter, handing his daughter off to
like other men at these parties. And they've bought police
sniffer dogs through who have smelt human remains in house. Yeah,
and in the lane way, which is where we're going there.

(20:01):
So it's just fascinating because on this you're gonna love.
You're gonna love this bit. So basically, nine days after
this murder, an envelope is sent to the ALA Examiner's
office with her social security, her birth certificate photos, and
an address book with a couple of addresses pulled out,
a couple of pages pulled out, and the fingerprints were

(20:21):
cleared with gasoline. Wow, isn't that fascinating? I didn't know
that was a thing. But this is considered the most
notorious murder in LA history. It's still a cold case.
Seventy years later. This doctor now has since fled to
the Philippines, so he's still I'm pretty sure. Yeah, so
if his some thought he did it, how's it technically

(20:42):
a cold case?

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Hang on, maybe he has let me find out if
he's if he's passed away or not. But cold case
as in they've shut the case. Isn't that what cold
case is?

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Well, yeah, it's usually they shut the case because they
don't have any leads or they just come to a
dead end on.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
It, unless I don't know, but it says cold case
in all the youtubes I've watched, it's I.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Guess the guy the doctor was never charged for it.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
No, no, isn't it amazing? So the official cause of
death death was hemorrhage and shock And what was that?
I bet? Yeah, sorry, so not to me and says
even laugh. By the way, the cuts were so clean,
so it has to be someone that had these surgical skills. Body. Also,

(21:36):
the body where it was found it was like placed
really strange, so the body was split in half, the
arms were above the head, the legs were like it
was very like deliberate, which I know they do, like
they talk about serial killers like that end part is
very specific for them as well, like how they leave
the bodies sometimes fascinating though, isn't it? So this is

(22:02):
the front of it. Should we go and have a
squeeze at the bat, let's have a squeeze. How does
your intuition even give it? Because there are other suspects
in the murdering of this, it's not necessarily like this
guy hasn't been charged.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
I think it's a cover up.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Really, they know it was him.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
But if his son was a policeman, he's obviously respected
in society and his position and job and also his
connections if he's pimping his daughter out to probably other
powerful people.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
So apparently there's a recording of him saying, no one
will get me because the only person that knew was
my secretary and she's dead. Now, yeah, that's it. Oh wow,
how could are you? Let's check out the back and
see if there's any back entrance.

hopeful black hair died of her black a little bit

By Lloyd Wright is the designer. So he's a really
famous designer for that time you said you saw it
at the other metal location.

Well, the haunted Murder mansion in Los fielet's up in
the hill. One of those houses behind that was the
bloid Right house. But the back of this house is
very cool. I mean I want everyone to google it
because it is a very cool architectual style.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
And you can imagine them having those big Hollywood parties,
you know what I mean back in the day. Look
at us. Okay, this is where the body.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
This is where the dogs picked up the scent of
human decay. I believe, ah, human decay? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (24:30):
How crazy? Oh, you can kind of see through. Do
you want to have a look through there? I know
you like to love a little peaky bee.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I mean a little bit of a peak through the house.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Right now, it feels like there's something like.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
You know what actually been here? I don't reckon the
human decay was the black Dahlia girl. I don't think
it was Elizabeth the Short I reckon someone else has
been killed.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Here, maybe the secretary.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Yeah, really, probably a few places in people in this
environments really well.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Yeah, because this guy, the one that's now fled to
the Philippines, is known as being like super shady, so
I'm sure there could be have been multiple murders. Is
that what you're feeling?

Speaker 2 (25:17):
I reckon the dogs was probably picking up sense from
a lot of different people.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Maybe really cool garage.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Well, I love it.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Yeah, the light fixed. It feels like out of this world.
It definitely feels like old Hollywood party vibes.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Right, Yeah, it's kind of got. It's given Smorgies in
the nineteen nineties.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Smorgies. What's like as in the.

infamous sites. Back in that day, it was a grand hotel.
They filmed American Horror Story Hotel series in the actual
foyer lobby the Cecil Hotel. And because of the area
it's in, because of LA's homelessness and drug problems, no

one was staying at the hotel anymore obviously, and they've
now turned it into not a shelter but kind of
like a homeless housing project.

Yeah, so it's built in nineteen twenty four, but I
will say even in the twenties the first there were

don't mind there, we've got a very la situation happening

thirty deaths in this location.

with this guy called Percy Ormond Cook. He was fifty two.

decided to end his life. He shot himself here in

the hotel room. In the hotel room there, there's been
a crazy story about a really, a really heavily pregnant
young woman came in with an older gentleman and she
gave birth in the bathroom and the baby came out

and wasn't breathing and because she was so traumatized. They

threw the baby out the window and landed on a
roof top. Yeah, and the coroners figured out after the
baby just needed like a slap on the back to

literally would go into people's homes, couple, male, female, and
he'd brutally murder them, whether it's gun, knives, hammer, and
then he'd drink their blood. Kids killed kids, no problem.
So he was convicted for at least thirteen murders over there.

He was caught in nineteen eighty five, but he lived
here in room fourteen nineteen's try and get up there,

this is one of the most haunted locations in LA

uneasy right now. How do we protect ourselves? We do

did it in Austria, went to jail, got let out,

Right. So we are in a car park across the
road from the Culver Studios. So this is actually where
Hollywood used to be, Like, this is where they made
Gone with the Wind, This is where they made Wizard
of Oz Raging bo Really yeah, all made here at
a studio that I'm about to take you to.

So Culver City is the neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
It's a neighborhood. But it used to be like there
was no Hollywood Boulevard and all that wasn't even a thing.
This was back in the day, back and I think
even before that, it was like gangs and stuff in
the are Like It's had a very fascinating history. But
for the purposes of today, we are talking about the
quintessential connic Hollywood Culver Studios. So the person or ghost

or entities name is Thomas Innes. Now he is a
movie padam he's in us right now? Is he?

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Thomas? Is you tell me you're the side I've been
walking all day like I'm riding a horse, So maybe
let's find out. Yeah, maybe Thomas has been in us.

So he is a movie pioneer. So basically he helped
create build everything the studios you're about to see. Hi,
we're gonna take the mics with us, but just for
sound quality, I want to record this bit in the car. Now. Basically,
he for his forty second birthday, he went out on
this newspaper moguls yacht to celebrate his birthday. The newspaper

Mogul's name is William Hearts. Now, unfortunately, dear Thomas passed
away on this yacht and there are a lot of
heavyweights on this Hollywood heavyweights on this yacht. And his
death is ruled a heart attack, No, correct, amando, that's
what your gut's already saying.

Yeah, there's something still with drugs.

Well here's the so he So he was mates with
this William Harts guy. Now, William Hearts had this gorgeous
little side piece that he loved, and apparently at the time,
Charlie Chaplin was also on this yacht, really yeah, and
he was canodling with said mistress, and so William Harts

was not having it and tried to shoot Charlie Chaplin
missed hit poor Thomas dead and the theory goes, so
the official cause of death is heart failure, but legend
has it that he was shot by a jealous Hearts
who was aiming for Charlie Chaplin because he had an

eye for his mistress. Her name is Marion Davies anyway,
But the theory is that the ghost of Thomas is
still here at Culver Studios, and it's said that his
energy is seen and fell like walking the halls of
the studio. He didn't want to leave because it was
his passion so much and he got killed. Yeah, and

so it's less scary spooky. This is more like beautiful.
I think it's great.

He's probably like a real guardian over the whole area.
He's probably keeping it safe, keeping it in business. Yeah,
he's still got that passion and energy. His soul is
still connected to it.

I feel going. Yeah, and that's why I'm so excited

where we were about to go. So we're going to
go to the Culver Studios. Across the road from that
is the Sony studios, And we just passed driving here
Apple TV, so we're in a real mecha of film studios.
He HPO is here as well. We passed that on
the way. Yes I didn't even show you, but there's

all like Last of Us posters everywhere in June Prophecy
posters everywhere. Like it's really it feels like this is
where it all happens. A lot happens in Culver and
even we drove past the yoga studio I work at.
This is not a word of a lie. A heavyweight
from Apple TV walked in one day. I don't think
I've told you no, and he goes, I don't know.

This is really strange, but I'm going to ask if
you know this person. And he's like, do you know
Candace Fox. She's a crime fiction author in Australia. And
I was like, yeah, she's been on the pod and
he's like, we're in a bidding war with Hulu to
get her most recent book because we want to turn
it into a series. Can you put in a good word?
And I was like, okay. I write to Candace and
I'm like, this can sound really weird. This lovely guy

from Apple came in. Dah da da da give him
a chance. He seems lovely and she goes, oh my god,
I'm looking at the contract right now. Wow. She signed
said contract. And then I was in Australia in March,
just gone and I interviewed her again and I researched.
I was like, oh, just look up that Apple TV
show for her book High Wire. Scott Free Productions is

doing it. That is Ridley Scott. Wow, and it is mental.
And anyway, that guy came back into the studio last week.
So I haven't even talked about this on the pod,
and I was like, fucking heck. I was like, oh
my god, got free productions. And he's like, well, thanks
to you, remember me?

I was like, so can I audition? Thanks very much?

Well, I think it's owed to you. You know, it's
called karmic rebalance in here. You're you actually literally need
to pitch that to him, being like, hey, you know,
I'm an actor and I can do all this, Like
I literally got you this.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
Still let me audition? How crazy is that you have
to do that? You have to be like hey, yeah
the next time I see him? But how wild so
good this is? You are such a ten out of
ten person, you really put yourself out there for people.
But how cool this is? This area? This is where
the magic happens. Everyone thinks it's no, no, no, Like
you know, like Netflix is in on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood,

and like you've got Gower Studios there where kt LA
is and a lot of Ryan Murphy's Scream Queens was
all shot there, and everyone thinks it's there. But I
think a lot happens in Colbst. I'm interested to see
when we go out now to the studio and get
out of this sweatbox of a car.

in Culver City. It's a beautiful building. Not what I
expected from a production studio.

I know, right, It's stunning.

It's lovely.

It's also I was saying this to you at Christmas time,
like there's fairy lights, there's massive trees.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
It feels so it's a very cool area.

Speaker 1 (57:21):
Yeah, it's so cool, and it's it's just like really relaxed.
After this, we're going to get lunch at Air one
and probably sit back out here, and that's what you want. Amazing, Yeah,
take it easy.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Watching all the people coming in and out of the
studios as well. So we're going to do a vox
pop with someone's sooner. Whether it's if they've seen the
ghosts of Tommy.

Speaker 1 (57:36):
Oh my god, I didn't even think of that. This
energy to me, correct me if I'm wrong. It just
feels clear and easy, like I don't feel like there's
any bad demonic No, not at all. Yeah. Again opposite
vibes su Cecil Hotel, Well, I mean they're goin.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
It goes to the area like Covid is so different
to downtown, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Yeah, But even like versus Black Dahlia House, this feels better. Yeah,
Black Deli house and feel great to me. No, especially
when we were down the back of it. Yeah, but
this is like to me, this feels kind of like
almost optimistic.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Do you feel that a golden age of America has
been reborn here? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (58:11):
Maybe? And you and you said right before when we
were walking from the car parked here, you were like,
maybe his ghost is like looking over Yeah.

Definitely if he died really quickly and had so many
things that he still wanted to do, or so many things,
you know, his mind was still ticking, definitely come back
to your workplace. Especially. I had such a passion for all,
loved it. So I definitely think that he's watching over
for sure.

And I'm to be described as like a pioneer of
movies back in the forties.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
What a title.

Speaker 1 (58:42):
That's like the Golden era, right, So I feel like
this is a nice like old Hollywood way to end
our pod today.

It's a beautiful character arc for us today. Heroes journey,
what has been the highlight for you of today, mean
had I loved the SESSL Hotel even though that whole
area was Yeah, it was great to see. And also
when we were driving past for the listener, the doors
were kind of open, so we did get to see
a glimpse of the lobby. Yeah, we did, which is

all that I really wanted to see if I went
inside the sets Like, obviously we're not going up to
the rooms.

Speaker 1 (59:15):
We're not crazy. Yeah, you know you don't want to
have You heard of people getting like entities hooked on them.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
Yeah, when your energy is a bit low frequency, things
can definitely attach to you.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
Yeah yeah, yeah, And how then do you get them unattached?

Speaker 2 (59:29):
Well, that's it. I mean sometimes they can really manifest themselves.
You sys a lot of self work, Like you've just
got to do things that help raise your own frequency
and vibration set strong boundaries which unfortunately be feeling negative
or you're feeling depressed or all these heavier emotions. It
can be very hard to do, kn't of Yeah, totally
they attached and eate the negative frequency.

Speaker 1 (59:48):
And I love how you mentioned you said, like when
you're in that kind of energy, like the energy of
Cecil Hotel, like it can amplify already kind.

Speaker 2 (59:57):
Of like, oh, that's it. When you build up of grime.
Imagine you haven't cleaned your bathroom for twenty years. Yeah,
what's it going to look like. There's gonna be such
build up and mold. Exactly. So spaces and places are
exactly the same. Energy builds up, and if it's all
heavy or negative, it's going to amplify whatever emotions then
come into.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
That space totally. We all feel it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
Like you can walk into a building and be like, oh,
this feels nice, this feels optimistic. Yeah, well sometimes you
go into places you're like, oh, get me out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
Yeah, heavy totally everyone, And that's like, like, I love
the way you describe when we were like three streets
away from Cecil, you were like, oh, my stomach just dropped,
Like I feel that you could, and then we drove
out of their bias skid Row. How did that energy
feel for you?

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Yeah, skid Row wasn't what I expected. It was still
very it's just sad to see, yeah, but it's heavy
energy at the same time, it's just a mixture of
I mean, obviously it's not a good place, doesn't have
a good reputation.

Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
No one's wanting to be there. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Yeah, so through it We've been everywhere today.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
I feel like we've covered a lot of Los Angeles.
