PTSD is a mental health condition that can develop in some individuals after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Traumatic events that can lead to PTSD include, but are not limited to, combat exposure, physical or sexual assault, accidents, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or the sudden death of a loved one.
