and the habits that release togreatness that is already inside

I'm your host, Arby Wright, andI am so glad that you're here.
In each episode, we'll explorepowerful lessons, real life
stories, and practicalstrategies to help you live
(00:34):
intentionally, build meaningfulrelationships, and unlock your
full potential.
But greatness isn't somethingyou stumble into, it's something
that is built every single day.
So let's get started and beginthe journey to finding your
inner gator.
(00:55):
Alright, everybody, welcomeback.
I am so glad that you're here.
This is your host, RV Wright, and you are listening to Finding
Your Inner Gator.
I hope that this is helping you.
You know, over the past fewepisodes, we've been walking
through the entire Innergatorframework.
It's built around the acronymGreatness Achieved Through
Optimizing Relationships.
(01:16):
And if you go back to episodeone, really that first episode,
it explains the story how thatwas derived.
And as it's grown, we've beenable to talk about the daily
disciplines, right?
And how each letter of Gatoractually represents a daily
discipline.
(01:37):
Get clear, act with discipline, track your progress, optimize
relationships, reflect andreset.
In episode two, we talked aboutgetting clear and defining what
matters.
In episode three, last week, wetalked about acting with
discipline and protecting thosepriorities.
(01:57):
Today we're going to talk abouta third discipline.
This is where things get real.
Track your progress.
You know, why does trackingmatter?
Here's a truth that I've learnedover the years, and many of you
have ever heard me speak, oractually, if we've probably been
talking for 15 minutes, there'stwo or three things I probably
(02:20):
said to you.
One of them is what you focus onexpands, and the other is if you
measure it, you can manage it,and if you manage it, you can
improve it.
If you don't measure it, you'reonly guessing.
Most people think they're makingprogress in life.
(02:40):
But honestly, I mean, let's behonest about it.
They are really just hoping theyare.
Ladies and gentlemen, highperformers do not guess.
They track, they measure, theyevaluate, they adjust because
what gets measured does improve.
(03:04):
There's an honesty factor here,right?
Tracking does somethingpowerful.
It forces honesty.
Think about it.
When you start measuring youreffort, you can't hide from the
truth.
Did you make the calls that yousaid you would make?
(03:25):
You can write down whatever youwant to, but you know the truth,
right?
Did you work on the prioritiesthat you wrote down?
Did you invest time into therelationships that matter?
Tracking just doesn't measuresuccess.
Listen to me.
Listen, tracking just doesn'tmeasure success.
It reveals consistency, andconsistency is what creates real
(03:48):
progress.
I'm I'm going, I gotta say thatone more time because I think
that is so important thattracking, when you're measuring
something, you're tracking it,it's it's not just tracking just
doesn't measure the success ofwhat you're doing.
It reveals consistency, andconsistency is what creates real
progress.
(04:10):
Look, put it this way, many ofyou know, if you've listened to
this uh at all, you know I'm uharound here in Captain RB.
I love to fish.
I fish a lot of tournaments.
I've learned something aboutfishing over the years.
Successful fishermen, highperformers, they pay attention
(04:32):
to the details.
They're tracking the watertemperature, they're tracking
the cloud cover, they'retracking the lunar conditions,
they're tracking the tides.
They knew where the fish wereyesterday and where they might
be tomorrow.
Why?
(04:53):
Listen, listen, this isvaluable.
Patterns reveal opportunities.
Life works the same way.
When you track your actions, youstart seeing patterns.
You start noticing what works, you start noticing what doesn't.
(05:15):
That knowledge gives you anadvantage.
Now, here's where people makethings too complicated.
Right?
What should I track?
Why should I track RB?
Tracking doesn't need to becomplex.
You don't have to have all thesespreadsheets with formulas and
(05:37):
complicated systems.
You just need awareness.
Here's a few simple things youcan track every day.
Your daily priorities.
Did you complete the threethings that matter most?
Your relationships?
Did you invest time in peoplewho matter?
Your habits?
(05:58):
Did you follow the routines thatmove your life forward?
Your progress towards the goal?
Are you moving forward?
Are you like we did last wetalked about last week?
Are you drifting happily downthe waterway?
Those simple questions canchange everything.
(06:21):
I believe that progresscompounds, right?
We talk about the the value ofinvesting and how you get that
compound interest, but inrelationships and doing things
over and over, progresscompounds.
The real power of tracking showsup over time.
The small improvements, repeateddaily, stacked week after week,
(06:46):
month after month.
That's how progress compounds.
If you don't track the smallwins, you're going to miss the
progress that's happening.
And what happens then?
When people don't feel likethey're progressing, guess what
they do?
Oh, this ain't working.
They quit.
Tracking reminds you thatprogress is happening, even when
(07:12):
it's slow.
All right.
This is where we let the innergators show up.
Remember what we said from thebeginning.
Every person listening to thispodcast has greatness inside of
them, and that greatness insideof you is your inner gator.
But greatness doesn't show up byaccident, it shows up through
(07:33):
the clarity, through thediscipline, and through the
awareness to measure yourprogress along the way.
Tracking keeps you honest, butit also keeps you encouraged.
Because it shows you that youreffort matters.
Here's my challenge for you thisweek: start tracking something
(07:57):
important in your life.
Just one thing.
Maybe it's your dailypriorities, maybe it's your
habits, maybe it's a number ofmeaningful conversations that
you're having.
Whatever it is, start measuringit.
Because when you measuresomething, you manage it.
(08:19):
And when you manage it, itimproves.
Next week we're going to talkabout the fourth discipline in
the entire intergator framework.
And honestly, in my opinion, uhthis one's had probably the
greatest impact.
All of them.
All of them have impacted me.
But this one might be the mostpowerful one of them all.
(08:41):
Optimizing relationships.
Because, you know, guys, thetruth is no one achieves
greatness alone.
We're trying to do thistogether, right?
It's all about relationships.
All right.
I hope your week, I hope you winthis week.
Hope you have a great week.
And I look forward to talking toyou next Monday.
(09:06):

Inner Gator podcast.

someone who needs to hear thismessage.
Remember, greatness is achievedthrough discipline, intentional
action, and optimizing therelationships around you.
I look forward to getting withyou next week.
(09:29):
