Judah means praise or praised, but for most part of his adult life, Judah the fourth son of Jacob or Israel was anything but praiseworthy. His life was spiraling downwards until he was forced to confront himself when he crossed paths with a Canaanite woman called Tamar. What is it about Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law that helped Judah turn things around and earn himself the leadership of the people of Israel, the blessings of Israel, and ancestry of the messiah? In this episode, I discuss how Tamar gives us an example of how to persevere for what is right against all odds and severe injustice.
