Consiguieron el apoyo del grupo de Gobierno municipal de CC-PSOE, aun cuando en el Cabildo en el pacto es el mismo, lo que llevó la conversación hacia el papel de los partidos en la política, las relaciones personales, o el eterno debate entre hacer una oposición constructiva o destructiva.
Tambiém se pronunció sobre asuntos de actualidad como la demolición de Marlape, en Playa Blanca, la auditoría de las cuentas municipales y los problemas judiciales de la corporación anterior, las carencias de limpieza e iluminación, el "vacío" de instalaciones deportivas en la capital de Fuerteventuraen la capital..., o lo que en su opinión es la mayor carencia que tiene actualmente la gestión municipal, la falta de planificación.
