So I was in Brisbane on Friday and it was
a friend of Gerard's fiftieth and after the speeches we
sort of get out of our there because I didn't
know him so well and and just I know, we

And we used to live in Brizzy and we had

and everything's made by like this, yes, and it's all
made by the auntie. We went there and we're like,
we's coming all the time, and they're like, Auntie blah

blast still makes the blacklah bar and Uncle blah blah still.

Anyway, it's on a busy street corner, so they sit
you a little bit inside, but also you sit out
on the street, so it's a great people watching thing too,
people getting around West End.

Anyway, they sat us down because it was quite late.

It was about sort of nine thirty by the time
we went and we knew they'd be open, and we
sit down.

there were two couples to like a boy and a girl,
two of them, and they were quite It's a Byo restaurant,
so they were.

Yeah, and we noticed when we sat down and it
was like hindsight that the tables around them were very quiet,
like the people sitting around very quiet, and we're like,
oh whatever. And then because these people were a bit drunk,
they were speaking really really loudly. And I think this
is just me making up stories in my head. But
one of the couples look quite solid, like they'd been
there for a while together for a while, and then

the other couple was very very new.

And then the one that was very.

Very new, the guy was trying to I think, impress
and he started he was a redheaded bloke, sorry l
he wasn't like, he was a bit nerdy looking, and
he's drinking the red.

Wine like the UNI students, but they're drinking red wines.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Red hair, and I just was like, rich, they started
joking about like the girls hot.

We're like, oh, it's a bit punching you. You're not,
but you know what I mean, she's just rangified you.

Be very in tune with yourself if it doesn't take,

So then then his girl, his lady friend, gets up
and she goes to have a vape and he goes
to join her, and it's.

can see myself falling in love with you. I can
see this going a long way. And she's like, m
and I'm watching this. And because they're on the table
right next to us, her phone starts ringing yep, and
its face up and I could see the name of

the person ringing. I'm the world's worst person to sit
next to at a restaurant.

So it's ringing and it's ringing, and he's doing the
whole like, oh, you know, let's see where this goes,
and dah dah, da da da, and she's sucking on
the vape and I look down and it says David
on it and then it stops ringing, and then it
starts ringing again, and it's David again, and this time
the phone's sort of buzzing a bit, and the people
on her table go, oh, someone who's fine's its phone?

And it took every inch of me to not jump
up and go, it's David.
