Speaker 1 (00:00):
D one O two nine Hot Tomato.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Okay, so I got a parking fine and I've been
a bit dirty about it because I felt like it
was a bit sneaky, but but I paid it.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Sneaky parking fine, that's not right. It's going to be
a pretty.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Good job though, because yesterday I went for a walk
around Hotter with some girlfriends and the parking fine. Guys
and girls now wear all black. I don't know if
you have noticed they wear it looks it.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Looks parking fat. Is that like?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
It was like black pants and a black nice business shirt.
They've got the goldcros City Council, but it looked very
business y.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I thought it Navy seals. Yeah, well they've got the
black hats.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
You know, they did kind of look a bit like covert.
But I was walking around Hotter and so were they.
And what a what a precinct to have, to man,
because it's free parking at the Hotter area there for
like four hours, so then I'm only assuming walk around,
check all the cars, then go for a wander around
the lake, then go back a couple of hours and
see if anyone has you know, they hash what a

(00:58):
good gig. But my park, fine, wasn't that one. I
was parking at Rickshaw's the other day, so the story
is briefly there. So I was meeting a girlfriend for
a walk and i'd meet her at nine forty five,
but I didn't allah allow for all of the tram works,
so I got stuck in that burly stretch trying to
get to her. So i'd messaged her and I said,
oh look, i'm running, that's her going. I'm still not

(01:20):
over you being late. So she was waiting out the
front of ricks on a park bench, and I finally
got there and I found a park straight away because
I didn't realize now, you got to pay along there.
I'd realize that now, but didn't really. So anyway, we
I jump out of the car and I run to
her and I'm like, sorry, I'm late, Sorry I'm late,
and she's like, that's okay, that's okay. I hate's parking

(01:40):
along here now, And that's fine by me because I've
got the easy park app. If you haven't got the
easy park app, have you got it, Gaily?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Do you know what you an? Apps? Oh? My god?
Ol park in.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Front of Rickshaws here forty c anyway, Okay, so it's
an app you download. The Council's got it everywhere on
all of the parking meters. You get it onto your phone,
you get out of your car, or you sit in
your car.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
You fire up the app.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
It's got all the GPAs locating so it says you
seem to be here. Is this where you want to park?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
You press yes.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Then a little wheel comes up and you use your
finger to wheel how long you're going to be there?
And if you can be there two hours you press
two hours. It says this is going to cost you
four bucks. You say except, and then off you go on.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Your merry way.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
The great thing about it not only is it that easy,
but if you then are longer than the two hours,
you can just fire up the app again and go, oh,
so I'm going to be here a little bit longer,
gotch So you can do that so you don't have
that panicked run, you know, trying to get to the
car before the parking guy or girl. But what happened
to me was in the time that I had gone
to hug my girlfriend, I then we started walking up

(02:53):
Burly Hill and I'm firing up the app and I'm
going yep, I'm about here, I'll pay and if I go.
So I go on my walk, thinking I've paid for
my parking get back to my car. He must have
been watching me jump out of the car and run,
because I parked at about two to ten and my
parking fine was for three past ten, okay, five minutes

(03:16):
of running to my girlfriend having a hug, her going
it's parking now, firing up the easy park app, I
get a ticket because I was perplexed when I got there,
I was like, what's this about. I paid, and then
I had this moment of oh, maybe they don't know
about the app, or maybe the app.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
The parking fine. People don't know about the app.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Well, like by the time they'd looked at it and correlated,
you know, got up to the satellites and then come
back down.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
I don't know, that's my thought.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
But then when I checked my easy park time, it
was after the three past ten. So he got me.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
So he got with in a space of about two minutes. Yes,
he got me. From a heart. A hug to a
girlfriend cost you, Yes.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
One hundred and eight dollars.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
One hundred and eight bucks for a hug and a
walk must be so I do lover.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
So I just want to ask a question, have you
had because in the papers today one hundred and fifty
five million dollars not just the Goald coroas is, it's
councils one hundred and fift five million dollars they have
raised from parking tickets around the country.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
I reckon, that's contestable, you think. So you paid a
ticket and you got fined within what three minutes of
it of you and you were in the process of paying.
I was, yeah, I don't. I don't know whether they
can just do I do?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I ride in and go, I hugged my girlfriend got
a ticket.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I'll ask you to reenact it. How hot was the good? So?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, just have you had a parking ticket like that?
How have you been stung? Did you contest it? Because
I feel like, more than anything, I just wanted to
say this easy park app you've got to get on.
It's really really good, except for in moments.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Like that, it works most times. One hundred bucks up
for grabs. Suspend at Schharaz Persian restaurant. Enjoy scrumptious maine meal,
lunch with a housewie beer a soft drink at Shras
Person restaurant frot the twenty five bucks. Have you been
stung like this? Double Fi? I have seven my money tonight.
Give its a call.
