Speaker 3 (00:25):
Hello, my friends, it is so good to be with you today
.
Have you had your coffee withJesus, coke, milk, water with
Jesus?
Every day I encourage you totalk with Jesus, share your
heart, your concerns, yourdreams, your desires, everything
that's on your mind.
That quality time with Jesusencourages, empowers and

(00:51):
inspires us.
And no, you don't need to tellanybody else what you talk about
.
That's between you and Jesus, because you don't want to take
any chances of somebody rainingon your parade.
I promise Jesus will never rainon your parade.
Today's show you're going tohear from Pandora, a young lady

(01:12):
that got mixed up with drugs butthen went into the home of
grace and today is a fireballfor Jesus.
Later in the show you're goingto hear my monologue from the
field of dreams, but firstyou're going to hear an
inspirational story from Pandora.
How are you doing, pandora?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
I'm doing well.
How are you?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I'm doing great.
So, pandora, what's your story?

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I'm from Ocean Springs and I've been here a
long time almost my whole lifeand just had the opportunity to
go to the home of grace hererecently and let God love on me
a little bit and learn how tolove myself and, in turn, just
live better daily.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
So, pandora, what was life like before you went to
the homes of grace?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Failed relationship and or on the brink of failure
and just not knowing where toturn.
And I had been sober for quitea few years before and I was
just missing something andbasically that was God.
I didn't, you know, i wasstaying sober and going through
the motions, but I really didn'tform a relationship with the
Lord like I should have and Iwas just still looking for

(02:29):
something.
And whenever hard times hit, iwent back to what was easiest
and just very shortly foundmyself back in the same boat.
So, you know, i have a career,i have a dog rumor, so I kind of
just focused on those sort ofthings like not furthering God's
kingdom inside of me, butrather like the things that I

(02:50):
wanted to pursue.
And it really, you know, itwasn't as fulfilling as it could
have been.
You know, if I would have justsort of opened up my eyes and
took my hands off of things andlet you know, let God work what
He does for us every day, because I was, i like control,
so that was a lot of my issue.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I think a lot of us, pandora, love to take control,
but then you went on this binge.
What was it?
Drinking drugs.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
It was just mainly drugs and before the first time
I got sober I was on opiates andyou know living that sort of
lifestyle.
And then here we were, you know, eight, nine years later, going
through the same motions in avery short period of time, and
it was a mess inside of me andone thing in life that I never
saw myself doing, but just endedup right there in those shoes,

(03:38):
you know.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I've heard it described as an addiction from
hell.
Is that true?

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Yes, it is.
We actually did a timeline intreatment.
The home's great said said likeokay, so I worked at home and I
groomed dogs.
Well, in between that time likewhat else are you doing?
And to actually put it on apiece of paper and see the
actual time that was justconsumed by the act of trying to

(04:07):
get or what you know what Imean Like it was just the whole
dance of what that is consumedso much time and so much energy
and you have nothing left togive to anything else.
You know, it's definitely one ofthose idol gods said.
You know God's like I don'tthink, i think you should be
doing that, little girl And Igrew up Catholic So I've always

(04:28):
had sort of I've neverquestioned if God loved me or if
God was there, but I just neverreached out and really affirmed
a good relationship.
You know, like an adulthood andkind of like learning more
about him and what he can do andhow much he really does love me
.
And that was the kicker.
Like I needed to know how muchGod loved me and to still hold

(04:53):
on whenever I was pulling so, sohard to get away and just run
away Like it's almost liketaking you're in trouble with,
like your, your.
You know your mom or your dad orwhoever punished you as a kid.
You know what I mean, whateverauthority figure And you know
not only wanting to get awayfrom whatever punishment it
might be, but also being likeashamed and guilted.
You know for that.
But once he forgives you, it'slike that, that drain just sort

(05:17):
of unclogged.
You know it's like theforgiveness for yourself and
others is like the drain of life.
You know it flushes out allthat toxic stuff that's in there
that just wants to come out youknow, because that's a good way
to put it.
Yeah, you know it's like at thecore of everything.
It's just what do we want themost is for him to come in and
to to clean us.
You know why does now?

Speaker 3 (05:38):
I assume that the more you do this, the more that
you feel unworthy to even askGod for help.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Right, exactly Like, just you know, sitting there,
not even looking in the mirror, but just knowing, like what I'm
doing in these moments, as I'msitting there and doing what I'm
doing, like it's wrong, likeit's wrong, wrong, wrong, and
that on top of that is just evenmore icing on top of the gilt
cake of just can you make it allstop, you know you can stab.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Do your friends or parents recognize that Pandora
is in trouble?

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Yes, my mom was definitely on board to and I
knew, i knew I was, you know, headed for I was waving a white
flag.
you know, something had to give.
I didn't want to be doing thisany longer than I needed to.
So, actually, my husband, joshhe had been to the home of grace
five years prior and weactually ended up graduating on

(06:35):
the same date, five years apartcrazy.
He, he was on and off of drugsas well, but once I really kind
of lost my mind in the last Idon't know six months, he really
stepped up and, like they, theyended up taking the baby, not
legally or anything, but just, you know, kind of they knew I

(06:58):
wasn't in proper shape, soyou've taken care of her.
So they went ahead and, and youknow, took her and make sure
she was okay, even though shewas, you know, like all basic
needs were being met and stufflike that.
It's just I was not the motherthat I could have been.
Yeah, i mean.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
well, that's what a super guy to be able to help you
with that, But at the same timehe didn't leave you then, So he
didn't say Hey, either youchange or I'm getting a divorce.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Oh well, we had I mean, we've been on and off a
whole relationship He hadexperienced something whenever
he went to treatment And thenwhenever I was able to finally,
you know, forgive myself orforget him and all the crazy
things that we had been through, then it was, you know, that's
whenever I could allow God tocome in and work on a
relationship and, you know, tryto mend it, Because I did pray

(07:50):
for, like, deliverance of allthings.
I'm like just please, Lord, just whatever it is, just make
it right or, you know, make ityour will and don't let me
intervene.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
So, pandora, what was your breaking point?
that you actually stepped in tothe home of grace?

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Well, a lot of different things.
It was my life was completelyunmanageable, completely.
I was grooming at home.
I could, like couldn't even getthree dogs groomed today, and
you know, like before, and I hada shop and you know, was that
work at seven o'clock in themorning and not on drugs.

(08:25):
You know a group and 10 to 15dogs a day.
You know what I mean.
Like I just just considerablechanges in my life, like daily
habits and everything else, andthen just the people I was
around and the things that weregoing through my head, and the
schemes and the fiery darks ofthe evil ones that you don't

(08:45):
even even realize wheneveryou're out there doing it.
Your only don't have God inyour corner, you know, because
once you have kind of like, likethe, his upgrade every day for
his eyes and his mind and it'snot, you know, just come in to
me, more of you and less of me,and then, whenever you start
doing that, you can start seeingthings in the actual sense of
like these people that werearound me and the things I was

(09:07):
doing were not of the.
You know the realm that I amsupposed to inhabit.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
You know that's not my lifestyle, that's not how I
operate them, you know, doingthose sort of feedy things that
that sounds like you're gettingtired of living with yourself,
and so you knew that there hadto be a chain, so you walked
through the doors of the homesof grace.
Now, how long were you there?
I was there for 90 days 90 daysand you, you graduated on the

(09:38):
same day.
Josh did five years later.
Well, that's, that's kind of aGod sign to me.
Anyway.
Well, that's, that's different,you know.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
And then there you go .
You know what I mean.
That's why I said just God sortof makes right any path that
you see fit for it.
And you know it's not all.
I said this in my testimony.
You know It's not all sunshineand butterfly whenever you leave
.
You know Like there is an enemyout there that doesn't want
certain things to succeed.
But you know, as long as weknow our value and worth in God,

(10:07):
and how much would we mean himand How real and powerful his
name is, then I don't have toworry about the things in the
past.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Pandora, i'm going to take a break and when we return
, i want you to share with thelisteners How real and how
powerful the name of Jesus isand how he helped you with
recovery.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
You're listening to get the hell out of your life
with your host, ron Myers.
Real stories, real strugglesand real hope.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
If you need something more out of life than what
you've already experienced ifyou need a new start, a clean
slate, if you want to live lifeforever, you need God in your
life.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
If getting old has you depressed growing up
sometimes scares the daylightsout of you.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
If you want to know what the future holds, get in
touch with the one who holds thefuture stop wasting time and
get a hold of God.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
It's not about earning points by being good.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
It ain't about some boring church, not about working
your way to heaven.
Finding God is not aboutfollowing some group who claims
to be the only way to God.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
It's not about being religious, it's not about
religion.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
It's all about God's only son.
It's all about Jesus.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
It's all about Jesus.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
It's about Jesus Christ.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life.
No one comes to the father, butby me.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Well, someday, when I stand before God and he asks me
why should I let you intoheaven?
All that's gonna matter is if Iknew Jesus or not, and that's
what it's all about.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Welcome back listeners.
Today Pandora is sharing herstory and, pandora, i am so
happy and proud of you that youwill share your story of Drugs
and now a freedom that you havein Christ.
Before the break you weretalking about the power in The

(12:26):
name of Jesus.
Explain that to the listenersplace.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Well, we were.
I have like God moments, solike in treatment, of course,
you know People would say, oh,it's really easy to find you
know God in rehab or jail.
And I mean, this is what thiswas designed for, you know women
to come and let God's love onthem and, you know, show them
Their value and worth in him.
But I would have these, theseGod moments.

(12:52):
I need to be shared withsomebody or not.
But just sitting out there andthere was a young girl and she
was having a difficult time oneevening and we all just sort of
stood around there, about eightor nine of us, and put our hands
out and started praying andNext thing, you know, i hear a
horn blowing and it's not evenlike a car horn, it's just a
very random horn to be going off.
And then later that even we goin and I'm reading a devotional

(13:13):
and playing this day It reads, you know, whenever God shows up,
you know you'll hear a horn andJust that testimony right there
that even that smaller group ofwomen in the go-shape
Mississippi praying for this, you know one girl, because she's
having such a hard time, andhow clear our words were heard,
you know, and he let us know ifyou call on and he will show up.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Pandora, thank you for sharing that.
There is power in the name ofJesus.
I think every person in lifeneeds to have a daily dialogue
with Jesus.
I call it coffee with Jesus orcoke with Jesus, but just talk.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Yes, yes, because the more you talk to him he hears
your voice and you can listenfor his voice, you know.
And then you can kind of, youknow, learn each other.
And whenever he's reallytalking, then That's like, hey,
you know, i'm not just thinkingthis in my head, it's really is.
You know, because I have arelationship with my God, that I

(14:15):
know that whenever we'recommunicating, you know And it's
not you know per se, verballyor anything like that, but I
mean, just go horn, that blewthat evening.
I mean there was no verbalwords to that, but it was a
definite like communication, like hey, good job, you know,
good job ladies, you know, andthe smile on my baby's face and

(14:36):
The you know flowers in the treeand the you know the rain in
the sky, even you know, it's allHim letting us know like I've
got you so, pandora, life isgood for you?

Speaker 3 (14:47):
It sounds like so, with you having your
Conversations with Jesus.
How are things going?

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Well, um, right now we are in the process of
downsizing everything and Movinginto an RV and just kind of
packing up and going and tellingpeople about how great God is,
and We have a couple otherthings that my husband is
working on, and being on theroad will benefit.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
So you want to be a little missionary huh, Yes.
So, pandora, do some missionarywork.
There's some listeners outthere that they may be
struggling with drugs orsomebody in their family is.
What would you tell them today?

Speaker 4 (15:33):
I would tell that person that don't give up hope,
because at the end of the dayThere's always hope left for the
world, and you in particular.
You know each and every one ofus and that at some point we all
realize that's not what we wantto do anymore.
And Until that day comes, noreal change can be made unless

(15:53):
we really mean it and.
I really meant it, you know, oneother time.
But The devil comes in anysneaky.
But our God is way bigger thanhe ever thought about being, and
even though that we don't feellike we are Worthy or justified
for what we're asking God, justreach out and you'd be really

(16:14):
surprised at what he'll reachout and do for you.
You know, sometimes God's got astrip everything away from you
for you to realize what youreally have.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Pandora.
The title of the show is getthe hell out of your life.
So how do you get the hell outof your life?

Speaker 4 (16:29):
Through prayer and fasting.
Be careful what you talk aboutand be careful about the company
that you keep, and Just keepyour eyes on God and he'll keep
his hands on you.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Pandora is God good.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
I got.
It's great all the time, evenwhenever I'm, even whenever I'm
doubting certain things, it'sstill they still like no, don't
worry about it, check, he'sreally cool.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Pandora, thank you so much for sharing your story.
before we close out thissegment, will you pray for us?

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Sure, of course, all right.
Dear Lord, thank you so muchfor everything that you do and
our lives on a daily basis andthat you watch over us and the
stick and the suffering and thehearts that you know are truly
for you.
Lord, please be with them, andGod is with your Holy Spirit and

(17:20):
be with his name.
I Amen.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Amen And thank you, Jesus, for changing the destiny
of Pandora.
Pandora, keep us posted in themeantime.
God bless you and have a greatday.
All right, thank you for myfriend When I return my birthday
message from the field ofdreams you're listening to get
the hell out of your life withyour host, ron Myers.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Real stories, real struggles and real hope.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Jesus, jesus, what do you think of when you hear that
name?
Jesus, love, life, hope, joy, peace, friend, companion,
confident Savior.
God of the universe lives, andhe lives in the form of a man.

(18:08):
That man is Jesus Christ, forGod so loved the world that he
gave his only son that whosoeverbelieves in him shall have
eternal life.
Jesus, what will you do withhim?
He knocks on the door of yourheart.
When you open that door, yourlife will change forever.

(18:29):
It came that the world may havelife and may have it more
abundantly.
Ask Jesus into your heart anddiscover what living is all
about.
Call 1-888-NEED-HIM.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
I stepped onto the field of dreams and it was
exciting, it was magical.
Now I sat on the bleacherswondering why am I feeling this?
Why do I just love this?
And I believe it was becauseGod has placed dreams in all of

(19:30):
us.
That's part of our plan andpurpose.
And here, for a few minuteswell, actually a few hours for
me no distractions, focusing onthe impossible that can become
possible, focused on the voice.
What will come?

(20:01):
His destiny, his plan, hispurpose for you, for me, he will
lead us into the field of ourdreams.
So how do you build it?
He comes first.
God is first.
Seek first his kingdom andrighteousness and all these
things will be added.

(20:22):
God comes first.
Build it and it will come.
The dream, the destiny, theplans, the purpose, the
excitement for life.
So I'm sitting there on thebleachers, looking over the
field and families are out thereplaying baseball.
I look over to the cornfieldand I see people going into the

(20:46):
cornfield and then walking outof the cornfield.
Everyone's reliving the dreamsthat they had, are reimagining
what their life would be like ifthey would only follow their
dreams.
All of a sudden, i was 11 yearsold and I heard the quiet voice

(21:06):
tell me, ron, i have a plan foryou.
And in that moment I knew thatGod has a field of dreams for
each of us.
I did not want to leave.
I felt safe, i felt secure.
I could hear God's instructions, go the distance, which meant

(21:32):
to me I can't quit, i have tokeep pursuing his dream.
The persistence of our dreamsand the persistence in which we
follow them determine theoutcome of our life.
Discovering God's dream foryour life is as simple as just

(21:54):
extending your hand and saying, yes, i will follow you.
I will go the distance.
I will not go to the left and Iwill not go to the right.
I will push towards the prizefor the call that you have on my
life.
In the cynics, in the scoffersand those who say it cannot be

(22:18):
done, they laugh at you and theysay it's impossible.
You just know in your heart itwill happen.
If God says it will be done, itwill be done.
There is no time to waste, there is no time to wait till
tomorrow.
So as I sit on the bleachers, iwonder why did I come to Iowa?

(22:43):
Why am I here on the field ofdreams?
And that quiet voice said, ron, because you need new fire.
You need to be encouraged, youneed to know that I love you and
that everything that you aredoing is because you are playing

(23:05):
in my field of dreams.
And now tell the world that thefield of dreams that they are
in possession of was given tothem before they were born.
And the hopelessness that theyfeel and despair and doubt and
unbelief is only because theyare not in my field of dreams,

(23:33):
for what I have for them is joy,is peace, its passion, its
purpose.
Ron, tell the world that thefield of dreams is within each
individual And to look to me, tolook up and say, yes, i will
follow you, i will go thedistance.

(23:55):
There can be no more excuses, there can be no more
distractions.
When you give him your heart,he will give you your field of
dreams, where your dreams willcome true.
Your dreams will have dreamsand more dreams, and you will

(24:18):
make a mark in this world Thatwill reflect the goodness, the
grace, the love, the mercy andthe redemption of Jesus Christ,
if you know that he will come.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Ron, we'll be back in a moment to wrap up today's
conversation.
We want to encourage you todaywith God's promise to you.
It comes from the book ofJeremiah chapter 29, verse 11.
For I know the plans I have foryou, declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not toharm you.
Plans to give you hope and afuture.

(25:14):
That's God's promise to youwhen you choose to commit your
plans and future to Him.
Now back to Ron.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Are you thinking about a dream that you've put on
hold?
Are you thinking about a new, improved relationship with Jesus
?
Friends, it's never too latefor a new beginning.
I want to encourage you Have aconversation with Jesus and see
exactly what is the field ofdreams that is alive inside of

(25:47):
you.
Your talent, skills andabilities are for so much more
than you even believe, but withChrist, all things are possible
because He is your direction, heis your leader, He is your
coach, he is your teacher.
I want to pray for you, dearLord, the person listening right

(26:12):
this minute stir within theirheart their dreams, their hopes,
and give them that assurancethat they are more than a
conqueror, they are an achiever.
They are here for this time inlife.
Guide them each and every dayas they pursue their dreams And

(26:40):
reflect the goodness, the grace, the love, the mercy of you,
jesus, our Lord and Savior.
